SRST on 2851 H323 pots fxo inbound not working
Have 2851
H323
IOS SPservices 12.4.15T
See attached config.
During WAN outage SRST works fine. Calls can be made outbound but calls cannot be made inbound.
When main number called gateway picks uup the call in 1 ring and the caller hears dead silence the alias DN never gets a ring. Then after 30 seconds the caller hears busy signal. What is wrong with this config?
hey,
alias is the command that would need..I see that you are sending calls to 3210
alias 1 435XXXXXXX to 3210
alias 2 435XXXXXXX to 3210
alias 3 435XXXXXXX to 3210
1) Are you receiving 10 digits from the PSTN, if you receive 4 then set 4 digits instead of 10.
2) Is 3210 a DN on a phone that gets registered in SRST, if not it is not going to work...

Best Regards,
Jose Carlos SilvaHi Jose,
Firstly is this a UC-500 based CME? I am not aware of a 8.5 version for the UC-500 unless this is a pre-production release, as far as I am aware the UC-500 is only supported up to 8.1 at this stage.
It would also be good if you could provide a copy of your running configuration (With sensitive data removed like usernames and or passwords and peoples names and numbers), this will help us in understanding the system configuration.
It also seems that the system has not been configured with CCA as there are no identifying markers in the configuration you posted that would indicated this was a CCA build, which leads me to think that this is a CLI build right??
I am personally not very ofay with the Portugal carrier setup so I best not post up a configuration of what the Voice-Port looks like as it might not be compatible with your local carrier, but I am curious as to why your FXO ports start at 0/0/0 typically on a UC-500 system they would start at 0/1/0 as the first 4 voice ports are normally reserved for FXS (Unless of course this is different for your region), which again makes me wonder if this is a UC-500 system or maybe an ISR (2800 series or above)??
Please post up your configuration it will help out a tremendious amount.
Cheers,
David. -
Hello All,
I have an issue with fax, it is connected to an fxs port on my h323 gateway. When a call comes from PRI and get connected to fax after I hear the fax tone the fax drops. IOS is Version 15.0(1)M4, and DSP is PVDM3.
My analysis:
The external calls hit gateway and it matches the pots dialpeer where my fax connected to. From the "debug voip vtsp all", I see Primary Fax Protocol=CISCO_FAX_RELAY, which is not enabled and we are using T38 relay and modem passthrough method for faxing. I believe PVDM3 does not work with Cisco Relay and couldn't allocate any dsp resources for the call and it drops. But still I wonder how gateway takes cisco relay.

Can some one kindly suggest how to make it work on H323, also how we can force disabling cisco fax relay? As I mentioned earlier, we are using MGCP for that particular fax port and the gateway we use as H323.
Even I'm not pretty sure about using mixed protocol, I believe this gateway gonna used to support call center calls. SInce MGCP is easy for configs they might have confiugred only the port as MGCP endpoint.
Now its not working with both the cases, not in mgcp as well as fallback mode. Can you reveiw the debugs and see why I have to remove "modem passthrough" command from voice service voip section which of our standard config and works well with all other gateway of ours. Please help here. -
SIP- h323 in a AS5850 - Not able to send h323 calls coming from a SIP Phone
Dear All!
I have an AS5850 configured as a SIP Gateway and as a H323 Gateway. I'm planning to use this equipment as an interconnection point between PSTN,SIP and H323.
I already have a functional H323 Network with ISDN trunks to the pstn and it is working fine. I added SIP configuration to the AS5850 in order to be able to route calls out to the PSTN or H323 remote ends coming from a SIP Phone registered with a third-party SIP Proxy.
When the calls coming from the SIP Phone goes to a PSTN destination the calls completes properly, but i am having problems trying to send calls coming from the SIP phone to a remote h323 gateway(also cisco)
Attached is my configuration and the error i'm getting in my cdr. It seems that the "ext" number of the phone is being used as destination string in the last call leg, but i'm not sure.
Please Help!

Attached you can find the debug ccsip messages output. There are 2 solutions here.
1. Use of SIP/H.323 Signalling Gateway as the protocol convertor. Search google will yield heaps of hits on this subject. Product available both commercial and open source, trial, etc. Using this method means that the SIP End Point will communicate with H.323 End Point without going out the PSTN. I believe this is what you want to achieve in the long term. You are trying the AS5xxx as the protocol convertor for you, which it will not work. A call flow will be something like SIP IP Phone->SIP Server->SIP-to-H.323 Gateway->H.323 Gatekeeper->H.323 End Point. Of couse there is a SIP server that do the protocol convertor in the same box but the functionality is the still the same. Performance and concurrent call setup differ from products to products. Going for this solution would require you to find such products and test it on the your network.
2. If you do not wish to try on Soluton 1, this solution is a workaround way by not getting device but using the existing equipment that you have right now. Onto whether this good long term solution for depends on what you want to achieve both in term of commercially and technically. A call flow will be SIP End Point->SIP Server->Voice Gateway (AS5xxx)->PSTN Switch(ISDN/PRI)->Voice Gateway->H.323 Gatekeeper>H.323 End Point. The key is the Voice session must traverse the ISDN link. In other words your dial pattern must be setup is such as way that will go out thru the dial peer pots to pstn switch then come back to another dial-peer pots. I am not saying this is the most efficient way of doing it, I merely suggesting a workable way to achieve your desired goal without soluton 1.
Hopes you get better understanding now.
Thanks

IDoc Receiver, Error in we02 - EDI: Partner profile inbound not available
Hi All,
I have a problem when creating a receiver IDoc from XI to R/3.
I have successfully tested the IDoc when populating the receiver information from the payload. However I want this information to be populated automatically based on the logical systems.
When I do this I get the following error in the IDoc in R/3:
EDI: Partner profile inbound not available
In the control record the sender information is all correct but in the recipient information the partner Number with type LS is populated, but port is not populated.
I have done the following steps.
the sender is a Business Service so I have created a logical system directly adapter-specific identifiers in the sender service in the integration directory.
In the receiver business system I have imported the logical system into the adapter-specific identifiers in the ID from that specified in the SLD.
In the receiving R/3 system using SALE/BD54 I have created a logical system for the source system.
In the receiving R/3 system using we20 I have created a partner profile of type LS with the same name as the source logical system.
IN PI/XI system in transaction IDX1 Ive created a port (SAP<SID> where <SID> is the system ID of the receiving R/3 system) and the client of the R/3 system, and the RFC destination of that system (<SID>CLNT<clnt>, as specified in SM59).
In the IDOC Adapter (receiver) I have entered the RFC destination and port matching those created above. All checkboxes are UN-checked eg. take sender from payload, take receiver from payload, Apply control record values from payload, etc. are all NOT checked.
I think that Ive done everything correctly, but I get the error in we02 in R/3: EDI: Partner profile inbound not available.
Any help will be greatly appreciated (and rewarded, obviously).
Thanks,
Matt.HI Matt,
Can you please copy paste the exact error message....In your error message it will show you Exact partner Number / Logical System name and other parameters...just compared if you have all parameters set in your partner profile comparing to error message...
If you can giev screen shot of both..then probably would be easy to point out error.
Hope this will help.

Invoice EDI error : EDI: Partner profile inbound not available
Hi EDI experts ,
We are connecting our SAP ECC 6 ( Ehp 4) system to 3rd party system Mincom via SAP PI, to send PO Creation message (Outbound) and receive Vendor Invoice message( inbound). We already done all the settings..Output determination procedure, Partner Profile ( WE20) , Port creation , Condition Records, EDI settings in SPRO for invoice..etc as below:
Logical system ( BD54)
ECC system - EDACLNT112,
PI systems u2013 IDACLNT210
Third party u2013 LSMINCOM
Port ( WE21)
IDACLNT510 : For PI with RFC destination IDACLNT510
Partner ( WE20)
LSMINCOM : (Partn.Type LS)
Outbound parmtrs.- Partner Role- LS, Message : ORDERS , Port - IDACLNT510
Inbound parmtrs.- Partner Role- LS, Message : INVOIC , Message Variant- MM, Process code u2013 INVL, Trigger immediately (Process code INVL have Identification - IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM, Option ALE u2013 Processing with ALE services , Processing type- processing by functional module)
Here PO Creation is working fine . IDoC of PO outbound message have below details :
Recipient information:
Port : IDACLNT510 (Logical system & Port created in WE21 )
Partner Number : LSMINCOM ( Logical system and Partner created in WE20)
Partn.Type : LS
Function : LS
Sender information:
Port : SAPEDA ( donu2019t know how it created..but in WE21..it is not there)
Partner number: EDACLNT112 ( Logical system and Partner created in WE20)
Partn.Type : LS
Partner Role :Blank
Just started testing, our PI team is sending the IDoC, with wrong information on partner & other data, so inbound IDoC failing with error u201CEDI: Partner profile not availableu201D. Oaky. I reprocessed these failed IDoCs by changing Partner data just opposite (i.e. Sender info as Recipient info & vice versa) to successful PO Creation O/B message in WE19 in EDIDC and when I click on u201CStandard Inboundu201D, then another window open giving error message u201CPartner profile not maintainedu201D and creates new IDoC with status 56
EDI: Partner profile inbound not availableMessage no. E0337
Diagnosis
An inbound partner profile could not be found with the following key:
/LSMINCOM/LS//INVOIC///X/
This involves the key fields of table EDP21:
-SNDPRN partner number of sender
-SNDPRT partner type of sender
-SNDPFC partner function of sender
-MESTYP logical message type
-MESCOD logical message code
-MESFCT logical message function
-TEST test flag
Procedure
Please check the inbound partner profiles.
Execute function
I am not getting exactly what inbound partner profile could not be found or what is the problem here . Can anyone suggest me what should be the problem and solution on it ?
Thanks
NAPNarendra,
Please advice what was the solution. -
EDI: Partner profile inbound not available Message no. E0337
Hi Friends,
I am facing very wiered issue for incoming vendor frieght invoice. When the IDOC is sent to SAP from the edi subsystem, it gets posted with status 56 and error message
EDI: Partner profile inbound not available
Message no. E0337
Diagnosis
An inbound partner profile could not be found with the following key:
/0040000010/LI/VN/INVOIC/MM///
This involves the key fields of table EDP21:
-SNDPRN partner number of sender
-SNDPRT partner type of sender
-SNDPFC partner function of sender
-MESTYP logical message type
-MESCOD logical message code
-MESFCT logical message function
-TEST test flag
I have created the partner profile in WE20 for Partner type LI, partner role VN and process code INVL, message type INVOIC, message code MM. I have also checked the entry in TABLE EDP21 and the entry exists.
When I open the IDOC in WE19, and click on standard inbound TAB it says partner profile not maintianed, however when i click on the control record it opens a dialog box, where we have all the entries for partner profile and when I just click on any field in the dialog box and click continue and when again click on standard inbound it say partner profile maintained.
None of the data is changed in the IDOC control record, I just click on any field and it finds the partner profile.
Please let me know your thoughts, what could be possible reason and a solution.
Thanks
DeepakHi Deepak,
I am facing the same problem with a different message type.
But same effect. I can copy the IDoc with WE19 and it will process nicely, completely unchanged.
Have you found the reason for this?
Thanks,

Ftp Adapter Inbound operation not working
Hi All,
I'm running on SOA 11g on a Oracle Linux machine.
FtpAdapter is configured and works well for outbound operations (my test composite can put a file on a ftp location).
For inbound operation something is not working, my composite, a simple ftp adapter + bpel process, never start (no instances) .
I'm able to get the file using an ftp client (tested from the soa server machine too).
I just increased the server log and I can see the ftp communication but an exception is raised in socket operation after *FTP Adapter Project2 FTP Command: LIST, reply:[[*

Error 56 "EDI: Partner profile inbound not available"
I am tring to post IDOC using we19.
Bu t, I am getting the error 56 "EDI: Partner profile inbound not available"
Could any one please suggest me ..how to solve the problem.Hi Sam,
When you process the inbound IDoc using standard inbound button, the system will perform validation for a given IDoc control record against the partner profile and file port setup. In your case, there is no inbound partner profile setup (WE2) for the corresponding message type. Therefore, you got an error message 'Partner profile not maintained'.
When you process the inbound IDoc using inbound function module button, the system will <b>NOT</b> perform validation against the partner profile and file port setup. The system will call directly the inbound FM to process the inbound IDoc. You may get an error based on validation of IDoc data record within the inbound FM.
In production environment (real case), the system will always validate againts the partner profile and file port setup for incoming IDoc.
Therefore, it is important to have ALE and IDoc corretly setup for inbound and outbound message types.
Again, hope this will help.

List of features will work/not work in SRST
Hello Team,
Can I get the link from the Cisco site which will work and will not work( A complete feature list) to refere and inform to the business teams who can take the decision for a Migration Project, Thanks!!!
Regards,
BalaThere are two modes of SRST - SRST itself (1) and Unified CME in SRST mode (2). Mode (2) provides more features for call-processing. Mode (1) is a bit simplier to configure.
According to SRND:
Unified CME in SRST Mode
When Unified CME is used in SRST mode, it provides more call processing features for the IP phones
than are available with the SRST feature on a router. In addition to the SRST features such as call
preservation, auto-provisioning, and failover, Unified CME in SRST mode also provides most of the
Unified CME telephony features for the SCCP phones, including:
• Paging
• Conferencing
• Hunt groups
• Basic automatic call distribution (B-ACD)
• Call park, call pickup, call pickup groups
• Overlay-DN, softkey templates
• Cisco IP Communicator
• Cisco Unified Video Advantage
• Integration with Cisco Unity with MWI support at remote sites, with distributed Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino server
You can find additional information about SRST modes and features in SRND.
Kind regards,
Andrew C.
