SRW2008 with a 100Base-FX SFP?
i got a 100Base-FX SFP from my localloop provider and tried to use it in a Linksys SRW2008 switch.
it seems the SFP ports are fixed to 1000Base. is there a way around this limitation?
thanks for your help.
Hi
Check software requirements and configuration requirements in the attached guide.
I think it gives you your answer (I hope )
It suggests you need 1.0.3 software and then try the following;
Manually Configuring the 100M SFP
STEP 1 On the Port Configuration page, click Detail.
STEP 2 In the Port Configuration popup window, select eth 100M in the SFP Speed field.
STEP 3 Save your changes.
STEP 4 Insert the 100M SFP module.
Hope this helps

Issue with LACP on SRW2008 with W2k8
Hello,
I'm trying to configure the LACP for W2k8 and I have strange thing :
My network is :
1 SRW2008 with
a Synology NAS connected with LACP
my PC running under W2k8 with LACP
1 another PC with single
1 Router running with DD-WRT fw , used for DHCP , WIFI and for the internet connexion
I have a Dual NIC Intel and the LACP is active on my PC w2k8 , I can see my network connected at 2 Gb/s. I can surf ping the swr2008 , my router and my printer connect by wifi. I cannot ping the other PC and my NAS connected to the srw2008.
when I disconnect 1 cable of my LACP of my PC I can ping everything
if I configure w2k8 not with lacp but with ALB I can ping everything
my question is :
How to configure LACP 802.3ad on w2k8 and have the ping working to the other system connected to the srw2008 ?
Thanks a lot

6509e SUP-2T VSS and 100BASE-X SFP
Dear All,
i need to connect via 100BASE-X uplinks some access switches to 6509e VSS distribution Switches having SUP-2T.
It seems that the only module on 6509e supporting 100BASE-X SFP is WS-X6148-FE-SFP. This module is going EoS and is not supportes in VSS.
Is there any other modules that i can use?
Thanks and Regards

Hi All,
I have several Cisco 3560C setup at multiple stations. The Cisco 3560C are connected in a daisy chain between each other using 100BASE-BX10-D and 100BASE-BX10-U SFP. So, on the first Cisco 3560C (station 1), I have a U-type connecting to the second Cisco 3560C (station 2.). The second Cisco 3560C (station 2) will have a D-type and U-type SFP where the D-type connects to the previous station 1 on its U-type SFP. This setup repeats for station 3 onwards.
It seems that these connections between the stations, I noticed that the Cisco switch registers the link at 100Mb half-duplex and I see incrementing CRCs and collisions. I am not able to hard-code the interface to 100Mb FULL as it seems that the interface configuration does not give me the option to do a 'speed 100' or 'duplex full'.
Is this normal for these kinds of SFP?

If its clean, check the TX/RX power levels with a power meters. End-to-end; bidirectional test, on both lamdas.
Because of the CWDM going on, I'm not sure I'd trust the internal "show hard" or
"show interfaces interface-id transceiver detail" internaly.
Obviously this is something common/systemic since it happens betwen multiple locations.

Issue with 3560g sfp GLC-SX-MM connect to 2924C
I have a 3560g switch. Have gig sfp interface [GLC-SX-MM=] and want to connect to to WS-2924C-XL f0/24 fasteth fiber port.
I have a patch panel in the middle.
3560g sfp interface [GLC-SX-MM=] SC ---------- ST PP ST ------------------------- SC 2924C-XL f0/24 fasteth fiber port
can I make this work? The lights do not come up. The port are configured correctly. I can not hard code the speed on the 3560 int sfp.Unfortunately, you can't directly connect a 1GE GLC-SX-MM SFP interface to a 100Base-FX interface. You will need to swap the SFP on the 3560G with a 100Base-FX SFP (GLC-FE-100FX).

8 port poe with 2 SFP 1gig uplink port
I need a 8 port poe switch (LAn base) with 2 X 1gig SFP uplink. can anyone suggest me the correct model?
Depending on your budget, you have a choice of FastEthernet or GigabitEthernet ports.
For FastEthernet ports, WS-C2960C-8PC or WS-C3560C-8PC.
For GigabitEthernet ports, WS-C3560CG-8PC. -
We ordered two 5548P and several 2000. They came with two types of SFPs. One is SFP-10G-SR, the other FET-10G.
What is FET-10G used for? between 2000 FEX and computer servers?
thanks,
HanIt will show invalid SFP until you enable the fex feature and configure the interfaces/port-channel as fex fabric. You have to use the same on both ends, either FET or 10G-SR.

Compatibility with SFP modules
Hi,
I have a query, I need connect a Switch 6500 with a switch HP, the switch HP has a HP X242 10 SFP module and need connect to the switch 6500 with a module CVR-X2-SFP10G. I need to know if this modules are compatible.
Thanks for the help.According to the 6500 module installation manual, and a Q&A document,
"Q. What is the difference between WS-X6716-10G-3C and WS-X6716-10G-3CXL?
A. Both modules offer 16 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet and share the same base board, WS-X6716-10GE. WS-X6716-10G-3C comes with distributed forwarding card 3C (WS-F6700-DFC3C), and WS-X6716-10G-3CXL comes with distributed forwarding card 3CXL (WS-F6700-DFC3CXL)."
"A sticker is placed on the module faceplate identifying it as either a WS-X6816-10G-2T or WS-X6816-10G-2TXL depending on whether a WS-F6K-DFC4-E or WS-F6K-DFC4-EXL daughter card is installed on the module."
"Not all 10-GB transceiver versions may be supported on your module. Refer to your software release notes to determine if a specific 10-GB transceiver is supported on your module."
It seems you will need to determine which daughter card or forwarding card is installed in the base WS-C6716-10GE board; then refer to the software release notes for transceiver compatibility. The longer reach SFP+ copper or active optical interfaces draw more power, thus they may not be supported with the X2 to SFP+ converter. -
SFP+ Compatibility with Nexus 3065-x
Hi,
I need to know if the STP-SFP+-LR Wavelenght 1310 10km from other venders will be compatible with the Cisco Nexus 3065 switch. I know you can run
switch(config)# service unsupported-transceiver
switch(config)# no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid
My question is will it work?
Thank you
EtienneFrom other vendors? No it won't.
You can use those two hidden commands but any troubles with your 3rd party SFP+ will not be supported by TAC.
The reason is because there have been numerous well-documented cases where the 3rd party modules (not made by the big five) is the root of (or part of) the problem. -
Hello
mgblh1 gbic support multi-mode and single mode fiber optical.
62.5/125um MMF @ 200MHz/km, up to 500m
50/125um MMF @ 500MHz/km, up to 2,000m
9/125um SMF, up to 40km
my question is what happen if i use this gbic with single mode wire under 500m between my sge2000p switch.
thanksmy question is what happen if i use this gbic with single mode wire under 500m between my sge2000p switch.
If you already purchased MGBLH1 SFP 9/125um SMF, up to 40km then
1.Either check optical power and if it is less than -3dBm then use it (Like -4dBm)
2. If it is more than -3dBm (-2, -1 etc )then use an 5dBm optical attenuator
3.If not bought can go for single mode 10Km or 2 Km multimode (MGBLX1 1000BASE-LX SFP transceiver, for single-mode fiber, 1310 nm wavelength, support up to 10 km, MFEFX1 100BASE-FX SFP transceiver, for multimode fiber, 1310 nm wavelength, support up to 2 km)
Depending on your current and future requirement -

SG500X-48-K9-G5 and SG200-18 compatible SFP
Hello,
I am interesting if GLC-SX-MM sfp modules are compatible with following switches: SG500X-48-K9-G5 and SG200-18.
Do you have any information about it ?Hi,
It doesn't appear that the GLC-SX-MM is compatible with the SG500. I quoted the manual below so you can see the compatible SFPs for the two switches.
Best,
David

SFP change on Cisco 3750-X 24S
Hello,
I have a Cisco 3750-X 24S equipped with GLC-GE-100FX optical module to provide 100Mbps connectivity to workstation. I have to migrate the workstation NIC to 1 Gbps and, after that, I have to replace the 100base-FX SFP with the 1 GB SFP.
Wich initial configuration on switch port allowm me to replace the SFP without any reconfiguration on the switch port?
Thanks
GabrielePaolo is correct in that you do not need to change the configuration for the switch to recognize the SFP.
However some IOS versions and hardware platforms do require you to manually configure the interface speed (even though a fiber SFP only operations at a fixed speed). Check the current port configuration. If it has "speed 100", be sure to change it to "speed 1000".
Hope this helps. -
The Adobe Forms was created with Disable Fields!

I am new in Adode Interactive Forms ABAP. I am trying to implement a simple scenario using Web Services published by RFC on ABAP side and simple form with one field MATNR to bring a Description MARKT, and button to call the Web Services. I configured ADS on Server, installed Adobe LifeCycle 8 and SAP GUI 7.1. I created the Adobe Form and it was actived.
My issue is, when a run the program to generate a PDF, using the FMu2019s 'FP_JOB_OPEN'

Could you help me?

SAP Consultant NetweaverHi fabio,
When you say the example ran successfully is it without any error messages..?
Did you check in spool "SP01" if there something sitting out there.
To my understanding PDF rendring is dependent in 2 aspects.
1) the output device type you select (this should be a PDF enabled printer)
2) Programatically if you say it should go to a printer or spool.
Just try with FP_TEST_00 either in sfp or SE38 and try both print preview and print.
in print priview it should display the PDF on the screen.
In print it should display as success message and in spool it should have the corresponding PDF. if both are working fine then the ADS and output device config are correct and it all depends on how do you handle the PDF output.
Just try the above approach and post the results,
Cheers,
