I have 2 units that are both giving me the same issue.
I type in the ip address and log in successfully
but the GUI doesn't appear afterwords..
I'm running a Windows7 machine with IE10
Probably a Java issue but can't seem to figure it out
I also tries on Virtual XP
XP laptop
ect...

SAP GUI issues - VA41 - additonal data B screen is not visible completly

Hello everyone,
Tthere was a problem reported by one of our sales users that in VA41/VA42 screen, there are different tables available, there is a tab "Additional data B" for one user only half of the tab is visible in the presentation server. The user is not able to scroll right/left and couldn't do any data entry on that screen.
Any one has any clue why this issue is only for this user.
The GUI version and patch : 7.10 with Patch level 3 ( File version : 7100.1.3.1029)
When we ask the user to try logging with his id in another PC, the table is visible completely. Both the desktop' GUI version is all the same. No other user is having this issue except one user. Hence I think it is related to GUI issue.
If anyone faced this issue before, please suggest a resolution/workaround
Please don't suggest for higher level patch, other PC's with the same level patch is working fine.

We had a similar issue with a different t-code. The user also had a problem with Outlook and the CRM system we use. We eventually decided thet athe user's profile information was corrupted.
We deleted the user's windows profile on the particular PC and then created it again. This fixed the problem - probably not the best answer, but it worked.

GUI issues in MARS

Dear Friends,
I have a MARS 100 appliance running ver 6.0.6 and some gui issues.
I have to click on GO button the browser twice or thrice and only then it opens the page. This behaviour happens randomly with clicking different pages like Query page, Incident page and so on. So what i do is click on the Incidents page, if the progress bar below on the browser window freezes and never moves saying "Waiting", i then click on the Go button and then the page opens!! Sometimes i have to clock on go button multiple times.
Has anyone else faced this issue?

SAP GUI issue with Portal on Windows Vista

Hello. I am using Windows Vista on my laptop. We use the portal to access our SAP systems. I have SAP GUI 7.1 installed on my machine. When I click my WIN GUI link from inside the portal I get a download file request. I download the file, however I have to click on the WIN GUI link a second time for the GUI to actually open I am using IE 7.0 as well.
Please advise if you know how to resolve this issue.

GUI Issue

I am trying to work with screen painter (se51) in ECC 6.0, Gui 710.
However when we click on the form layout, getting a error message 'EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL : 'ThSAPCMRCV'.
Is there any patch that we need to install or and settings that we need to do to get it working.

Can you check and implement sap note "204910" for the mentioned issue, also try reinstall Sapgui and add 'graphical screen painter' option.

First reports are very encouraging with the one remaining client of mine who had this issue, reporting back a successful fix and no sign of the issue at all after updating this afternoon.
As I however, never had this issue myself on any of my systems here, I cannot personally confirm if the fix actually works this time or not, but please add your own experiences to this thread and hopefully this is the good news many users have been waiting for.

Please backup your current System Hard Drive before installing this update. I would suggest you use a Hard Drive Cloning program such as Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! (rather than rely on Time Machine backups) for ease of reverting back to your current setup should things goes awry after updating.

Sharing in GUI Issues

This should be fairly simple I hope.
I use openbox with thunar and thought it might be a nice idea to use the thunar shares plugin.
Installed and followed the instructions on the wiki page to the letter.
For some reason when I try to create a share in the GUI I get the error: "You are not the owner of the folder" and the boxes are greyed out.
If I try the same thing in Nautilus shares it is also unsuccessful and immediately asks for the root password and failure to supply it leads to a greyed out box.
I can put the root password in each time but as it is 53 characters long I'd rather not have to.
Just to clarify, everything works fine if run as root.
Did a forum and google search and just got a German forum post that was not resolved.

Sharing don't work also with kernel 2.6 (if may usefull knowing this)
i think and remember (not sure at all) the same impossibility to share folder when using gnome-shell/gnome-shell-git and nautilus/thunar.

Websphere support and IDM console gui issue....

Hi,
Does anyone know if/when SUN plan to support Websphere 7.0 with IdM 8.0?
Also when using the IdM GUI it doesnt display the account fisrtname and surname only the account ID's. Editing and resaving each account proceeds to 'clear' these fields....im guessing this is a bug in 8.0 and requires a patch (which im not authorized to download as im only evaluating the product at the moment)?

Thanks for the reply, but if you check the link you sent me it indicates that a valid support contract is required to specifically download the 8.0 patch 5. As i mentioned im just evaluating the software at present so obviously dont have a support contract, although i do have a sunsolve account.
Is this actually correct or is it a misconfiguration issue on SUN's side preventing me from downloading it?
Note: all other patches with the exception of 'IDM7.1 Update 1 - Patch 10' do not seem to be locked down to contract accounts only.
Please can you advise?

CME GUI ISSUE

Hi ,
We have a CME set-up for one of our location.
Since last few days whenever we are trying to access CME through WEB , we are getting " javascript:void(0)" error.
No issue with WEB login , but option are not clearly visible once we login.
If I click on the different options after login into CME WEB , everytime getting the same java error.
Cisco IOS Software C3825-SPSERVICESK9-M
Software Version 12.4(24)T8 / CME 7.1
It doesn't seem to be PC/Browser specific issue because everyone getting the same error.
Restarting Telephony services won't able to resolve the issue.
Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

also you can please download a new file back from CCO and load it again after deleting previous one. Just a give it shot .

1250 GUI ISSUE

HI,
I have an issue with 5 1250AP standalone.
The GUI (the graphic interface) doesn't work fine. Sometimes the GUI failed. The left menu, doesn't appear. (attached image).
We tested with many laptops, and explorers (explorer, firefox) and the problem still.
We upgrade de IOS to this one :
c1250-k9w7-tar.124-10b.JDA3
But the issue still.
Also configured the GUI for Https, and the issue disappeared for 8 days, but today the issue back again.
The problem occurs with the 5 aps 1250, and is random, because sometimes failed.
Sounds like a bug, but i can't find something.
Any idea?

zone. Make sure the "Require server verification" is unchecked. Click

GUI issues with Matlab

Hi,
I noticed that when I invoke matlab code in my EDT of my GUI, it causes the GUI to repaint itself with blank buttons and changes its fonts. In order to resolve this issue, I realize that the matlab code would be the source of the issue and was causing a conflict with the affected java GUI components. Therefore, I invoked the matlab code before I instantiated the GUI. Eventually this led to an interesting out come. All the buttons are not the original default buttons provided by the Java gui framework. Even the text is not the same, the matlab affected text is blue and unbolded, whereas java has them by default bolded and black. What would it be about invoking matlab code that conflicts with java? If by chance this is relevant, I read somewhere that originally Matlab GUI framework is actually based off of java, however I am 90% certain that you can't package GUI applications with Matlab native code, its not supported by the Matlab Compiler Runtime (MCR) Environment. So I don't really understand how it affects it at all. Any ideas?

This sounds like it could be an issue with MATLAB®. They'll be able to provide more adequate support on their products.
If this is an issue with hardware, you could test out the driver using NI MAX and test panels. If that works, then it's possible that it's not a hardware issue.

SmartWifi GUI issues/unresponsive (WRT1900AC)

Hi all,
Had this issue a few times with different firmware versions in the past and is now happening again. The issue typically requires that I restore the router to factory which is a huge pain in the **bleep** with all the DHCP reservations, ports, etc I run.
For whatever reason, I log into the SmartWifi GUI locally (192.168.1.1). The main page appears normal, but when I try to access (in this case) the portforwarding page it asks if I want to save my changes even though I didn't make any. If I click cancel it takes me back to where I was. If I click yes, it thinks for a while and take me back to where I was (not to the ports tab), if I click no the same thing happens. So basically I can't access tabs but the first one under "Security".
When I try to access the "Connectivity" tab, it's just a blank page. Same goes for the "Troubleshooting" menu.
So I can neither check the firmware version, restore it, or update it. Further, I can't backup my configuration or reboot the router.
As I said this has happened multiple times over different firmware versions so I know it's not just the current version I'm running.
Yesterday I powered down everything overnight and it's still giving me the same issues. Is this happening to anyone else?
I'm getting really tired of restoring this thing every month or so. Feel like at $250 this router should just purr.

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on the PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired LAN PC while testing.
Disable any downloading client software managers, i.e. Torrents or similar.
PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection
Disable the extender while you test with the main host router first...then turn back on and test.

NWDS 7.0 GUI issues

Hi all,
I have some issues with the GUI of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.0, more exactly with the tabs Properties, Plugs, Actions and Methods. When I want to see the information on these tabs they are in blank. This issue only appears on my notebook Dell vostro 3500 with windows 7 professional. I installed the same version of NWDS in others PCs but this issue didn't happen. I already tried with differents versions of java and also I restored the notebook to factory settings but the issue didn't solve.

SAP GUI Issue

Hi Experts,
I have installed SAP GUI 7.2 on my system (WIN XP) successfully. I logged on and worked with some transctions but when i am pressing SPACE BAR for previously used objects in any transaction , the object name that i have used is not coming. Same problem is coming while trying to press SPACE bar on logon screen. Every time I have to remember the objects what i want to use. Please give me suggestions what could be the problem.

I noticed you said that you installed SAP GUI onto your machine. Is this a new machine, or a re-do of Windows and you had to install SAP GUI? Was there a previous version installed and you uninstalled it to install the newer version?
If you have enabled history, it should be building a new list. If you are looking for your old history, that depends on what happened prior to you installing SAP GUI. If its a new machine, chances are that history is gone. if you uninstalled a previous version (7.10) try looking for your SapWorkDir folder, depending on how you uninstall it or steps taken afterward, it may be gone. (When we uninstall it here, that information along with folders is removed.)
FYI, 7.20's history can be found here by default.
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SAP\SAP GUI\History

SAP GUI issue on Windows 7

After installing SAP GUI 7.10 on windows 7, SAP is getting closed after ~10 minutes
Please let me know how to fix it.

hi All,
I did some testing on this and found SAP GUI has nothing to do with this, its the Firewall which is causing the timeouts. I disabled the installed McAfee firewall on my system and tested and it worked fine.
disabling or adding an exception in firewall rules should resolve this.
