SRW2024P mixed speed perfomance issues

We purchased 4 SRW2024P Gigabit switches to replace our old fast ethernet switches. When testing them in a small network I found a strange behavior regarding mixed operation of gigabit and fast ethernet: File transfers from gigabit to fast ethernet (100Mbps full duplex) connected computers are far to slow, sometimes below 1 Mbps. Gigabit to gigabit was very fast as expected and 100 to 100 Mbps also was about the expected speed.
Then I found that the bad performance in mixed operation can be fixed by enabling flow control on any single port (even a non-connected).
Has anybody encountered a similar behavior with this or another switch?

I purchased 6 of these back in September, and if I could turn back the clock I wouldn't make the same mistake twice!
I have also had slow traffic speed, especially when using ghost, used to get 460Mb/min now I get 9Mb/min using these, I have tried flow control and QOS bandwidth etc, having spoken to linksys support.
I have now been told by them that this is an issue on mixed networks and that only a new firmware release will solve this for me!

Change pointer perfomance issue(bd22)

Hi,
we are using message type HRMD_A to transfer the employee change data using the program RBDMIDOC. we are checking two table BDCP n BDCPS, but because of large number of data we r facing a perfomance issue here. I read in one forum about transaction BD22 which deletes the change pointer from these tables, but is it safe to use? and also what is the obsolete change pointer?

It is advisable to reorganize change pointer tables at regular intervals for better performance of programs accessing the BDCP* tables.
BD22 is a standard report delivered by SAP and it is absolutely safe to run this report. It also has o test run option. You could always run the report in test mode to analyze the data the report had selected for deletion.
Obsolete change pointers are those which have been created up to the specified date and time. In BD22, if this checkbox is marked, obsolete change pointers will be reorganized regardless of whether they have yet been processed.
Processed change pointers are those which have been processed in the specified period (date and time). If this checkbox is marked, the processed change pointers are reorganized.

Ajax4JSF Perfomance Issues

Me & my team have used Ajax4JSF extensively in our application very recently we have been observing perfomance problems.
Here is the situation
We have following dropdown defined with ajax4jsf event onchange

Perfomance Issue on Windows Server 2003 Cluster

Hello,
we have a strange perfomance issue:
we have a single Windows 2003 Server for the XI Quality System and a Windows 2003 Server on production (both of them 32 bit).
When we transport an integration scenario 1:1 from quality to production we have to face serious performance issues. Perfomance on the productive cluster is approx. 50% lower than on the quality environment.
How could this be? Do you have any ideas?

Having speed drop issue.

Hi,
I am having a speed drop issue since about this Saturday, in the night time and I dont see what the problem is?. The connection is being tested with ethernet cable straight to the HH3 and I have nothing else running in the background, no updates on the PC and all consoles are shutdown etc.. does anyone know why this is because I have never had this issue before and you will notice the speed drop downstream of about 2MB missing in the synch speed test, all tests I do I get the same results in the 22.6MB range Downstream and the uploadstream is always the same result at 2.26MB:-

@sjtp. Yes mate I agree maybe I should not be so concerned about the speed issue seen as though I do have a prity solid good connection for everything, its just a little annoying I am losing over 2MB somewhere, some how.
@curiousfellow. I have done just that m8ty and found channel 3 seems to be the best for me. I do get upto 300mbps on devices and no drop. I have ran through them all and noted down speeds, traces (bbc.co.uk) and pings to speedtest.net site and channel 3 is doing me justice it seems, its just the over 2MB difference that is bugging me out.
Can you see though guys, in my test it says 25.3MB to my modem but to my PC using ethernet to my HH3 I am gettting 22.6MB, I am losing quite alot, but why is the big question???, it is really annoying me, its not as though I am using long ethernet cables to connect to my HH3 or to my PC they are just normal length cables, actually also they are Cat 6 not 5 so there top notch ethernet cables, gold as well, I didched the BT ones for better cables!!!!. One time when I was first connected to Infinity, 6 months back I was getting around 27000kbps to my PC but that gradually went down so I went along with that cause others connected to Infinity in my area and I was one of the first houses to connect so I expected a drop but now over time it seems to be gradually getting lower and lower to my frustration!!!.

when i find some problem related to performance, my first check is the database, is there locks in the database when these perfomance issue arise ? are tables analyzed ? optimizer_mode = choose ? have you try to check the querys that ADF e "lauching" to dabase ?
Also, are you using Connection Pool in application server ?

Perfomance issue after update to 10.7.3

Hello everyone,
I have recently experienced major perfomance issues when it comes to graphical applications. I can't recall if it happened when 10.7.2 or 10.7.3 was released, but somewhere around then. And I can't determine if it was happening directly afterwards when the upgrade was done.
Watching a flash movie takes a lot of system resources and scrolling within the window the flash movie is barely possible. Before this hasn't been a problem at all. Playing a game, i.e Team Fortress 2, has gone from wonderful to non-playable. From having 60-80 fps to around 25-45 fps.
I am having a MBP 15.4 early 2011/8GB/2.0GHz. Running latest version of Lion 10.7.3
Anyone else that had the same problem? Anyone having a suggestion of what the problem might be?

Maybe it's Chrome. Maybe your update to 10.7.2 or 10.7.3 needs help. You could consider reinstalling Lion:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. WRT320N Fluctuating Speed/Video Issue

I have read a lot of posts on this forum, and perhaps I there is no help for this, but I thought I would try. Please read all, as I have tried several things found on this forum.
I have a WRT320N that I purchased several months ago. I seem to have issues mainly when trying to use video conferencing such as Skype, Yahoo or even MSN.
When I am on the 'wired' computer of my network, all is well. On my laptop, these programs just don't work wll at all. My laptop has a wireless b/g/n capability.
Although the signal quality is always excellent, I can watch the speed fluctuate anywhere from 72-144 Mbps. 144 is tops.
I have my router setup for Mixed 2.4 GHz, 20MHz bandwidth, with WPA2-Personal security. I have tried almost every single channel there is.
I tried WPA secruity, and my speed dropped to 54 Mbps...and stayed that way solid...no fluctuation at all. However, I had the same performance with above programs.
I have also, as seen posted a million times on this site, changed the Beacon interval to 75, and both the Fragmentation and RTS thresholds to 2304.
Nothing seems to change the performance of this router. Currently, as I write this, I am within 20 feet of the router, and am watching the speed change regularly....just now it dropped from 144 to 65 Mbps within 1 second, then slowly back up , then dropping again....
NOTE: I flashed the Firmware to V1.0.03 build 010 just like a month ago when working on this issue, and that was the latest firmware then.

3)   The 4965AGN wireless adapter is known to run at only 54 Mbps with WEP or WPA with TKIP. So you are correct, it looks like you will need to use WPA2 (= WPA with AES) .   See this URL for more info about the 4965AGN:

Most "5 GHz" phones will not interfere with your router's "5 GHz" band, because usually they use different bands in the 5 GHz range.   Some 5GHz phones also use the 2.4 GHz band, and that usually does interfere with your router. So try unplugging the phone and see if that corrects your problem. Microwave ovens only seem to cause problems when they are turned on, so it is usually obvious if this is the cause for your problem.
To see what channel your neighbors are using, highlight their SSID and then select "Properties". Sometimes there is a button for this. Sometimes you have to right click on the SSID, then select 'Properties". Sometimes you have to doubleclick the SSID and actually connect.    In some cases, wireless adapter software will not display channel info. After you find out what your neighbors are using, if possible, try to stay +5 or -5 channels from your strongest neighbors. If you cannot tell what channel your neighbors are using, then simply try channels 1, 6, or 11 and see what works best.
Also try again setting the "channel width" to "wide" , "40 MHz" , or "Auto". With this, keep your wide band and standard band at least 2 channels apart, for example, try regular band on 11 , and wide band on 9.

9850 speed dial issue

I have a 9850 os 7.1 and have been having speed dial problems. I can touch and hold a number but the phone will not always dial. Sometimes I have to hold it for 10-15 seconds before it starts to dial. Other time I have to release and try again. I've had this issue on the past few os's .
Need BB and T-Mobile to kiss and makeup!!!

I've had that issue on mine, as well. A battery pull usually does the trick. To do so, remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

SPA-525G2 Multicast/Speed Dial Issue

One of our customers reported some severe issues after we placed a speed dial button on their attendant consoles for their multicast paging group. Whenever they received an incoming call or placed an outgoing call, both streams of audio would play through the multicast group. Removing the speed dial button resolved the issue, however they are still requesting that particular feature.
I've reproduced the issue in a lab setting, using two 525G2s and one 504G, all with attendant consoles. The paging group is using 239.123.123.121, port 10000, number 1150 and the speed dial button can be placed on the phone or on the attendant console. I previously used 224.123.123.121, port 60000, but tried a combination of port/address changes that were inneffective. Initially I was using firmware version 7.4.8, but then upgraded to 7.4.9a, then to 7.4.9c, but this did not alleviate the issue.
As it stands, the issue will NOT present itself until the paging speed dial button is first used after either a reboot or a resync. The issue does not occur if the paging group is dialed directly and it only seems to happen on the SPA-525G2. The 504G will not activate multicast under these circumstances.
After the button is used, any incoming call will cause the 525s to multicast packets, even if the call is just ringing and not being answered. Conversely, simply engaging the line by picking up the handset or pressing the speakerphone button will activate multicast.
Has anyone come across this issue previously? I've searched the forum and Google, but haven't found any information thus far.

Have same exact issue with 525G2 + sidecar on 7.4.9c firmware. Problem only occurs if Page soft key or Page speed dial key is set up for page. Problem does not happen on 525G2 without a sidecar. Page uses multicast IP and Port to their lines in the page group. After using the button, every subsequent inbound and outbound call is multicast to all members of the page group. Pretty nasty issue.

IOS 8 Slow Speed & Hanging issues

If you are experiencing slowness and Hanging on your iPhone or iPad after the update to iOS 8... then you should try below procedure:
1. Reset all settings
by going ->Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
2. After Restart go to Settings->Privacy->Location Services
Turn off all Apps and System Services with exception of Find My iPhone or any other app(s) you need location services for it.
3. One more important point is that don't use any sort of third party keyboards(e.g. Swift Key, Flesky, etc) until Apple or 3rd App owners provide a strong patch for this issue.
Note: I was facing the same above problem but after doing above steps now my iPhone works same as iOS 7 with all brilliant speed.

Different speed related issue than i've ever heard of ------PLEASE READ!

Ok so I've been paying for and receiving 3mbps for a few months now with no problems. I recently upgraded to the 4-7 plan because the central office says my house should receive 5mbps just fine. Well a week after asking for the upgrade I received an email saying it was done, but nothing changed.
By the way, both before and after the upgrade, on my router login page it said my speed was 3360 down.
So they sent a tech support guy over to my house this morning, and he ran a bunch of tests. All of them showed I should receive 7.8mbps with no problems.
READ THIS PART
So while my router is still stuck saying 3360, my attainable in my status page is 8128kbps
So the "change speed" is run in the home field tester site, which changes my routers speed to 5 something(and a speedtest while it was there verified i got 5mbps)
then it slowly changed it down and down until it reached 448
NOW it's stuck at 448 and won't go up no matter what. So my router is the whole reason it never got above 3360 in the first place. Now i'm stuck with IT stuck at 448, and don't know how to get it to go back up.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE SPEED OF MY ROUTER TO ITS ATTAINABLE SPEED LIKE I PAY FOR?

The DSL connection speed is the lower of either the provisioned speed, or the highest speed that the modem can successfully negotiate with the Central Office. You haven't shown us the transceiver statistics, so it is hard to know where the 8192kbps figure comes from. You need to shows us the transceiver statistics, and that is likely to be enlightening.
In any case, there are two suggestions:
1). Unplug your DSL modem/router for 15 minutes, plug it back in and see what happens.
2). If that doesn't help, call Verizon and ask them to re-provision your service at the correct level.
My guess is that in spite of the upgrade, you have not been reprovisioned for the higher speed, and that is why you are stuck at 3360kbps (which is the correct speed for 3mbps service). Normally that happens online almost immediately after you place the order.
And there is one other issue, just because you can possibly get 8192kbps at the Network Interface box (NIB) is no assurance that you can get it where the DSL modem is plugged in. House wiring can be an issue. (are you sure there are DSL filters on all of the telephones?)
So ask the tech to verify the performance at both the NIB and where you plug in the DSL modem. If the household telephone wiring is an issue,that is usually addressed by putting the existing wiring on a 'whole house' DSL filter, and running a new cable directly from the NIB to the location of the DSL modem.

Nikon D2Xs / RAW(NEF) / High Speed Crop issue

I have a problem with my D2Xs when shooting in RAW with High Speed Crop enabled.
When importing into iPhoto (08 - Version 7.1.4 (371))the imported image shows a Green and Purple line down the right hand side of the frame.
It doesn't show when exporting the original file from iPhoto to another program (CS3 / Preview).
It could be the one reason that I finally have to say goodbye to iPhoto, and look at alternatives.
It was reported last year in this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1260989, with no replies. Any ideas or response on this Apple?

I doubt that it's the camera, as the issue doesn't arise on exported pics. That said, as there are only two posts on the forums (yours and the one you refer to on the Aperture forum) it's possible that a: this only arises in very limited circumstances or b: it's local to your computer rather than a bug proper.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and make a library there. Import a few pics and see if the problem is repeated there.
