  • Signing a PDF file

    Hi all.
I want to sign a pdf file.
1.- u2019ve generated the PSE file in my system and Iu2019ve validated it. Iu2019ve inserted my certificate in the pse file.
2.- Iu2019ve created a program how converts a spool to PDF format (FM CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF ).
3- I use the FM SSF_GET_PARAMETER to get my pse parameters.
4.- I use the FM SSF_KRN_SIGN_BY_AS to sign the pdf data. This FM generates a signed data in binary type.
5.- I Verify the signed data with FM SSF_KRN_VERIFY. The validation is good.
6.- I generate the pdf and download it with FM GUI_DOWNLOAD. I use the binary signed data ( Generated in FM    SSF_KRN_SIGN_BY_AS ) in this FM.
The problem is with the pdf generated. I can open it and I can read it without problems but I donu2019t see the sign in this document.
The pdf document signed is with un 1Kb more than the pdf not signed ( there are more information ) but the sign not appears .

    Hi there,
I am having the same problems trying to sign in Acrobat 9 as well.  My pc is running on Vista also.  But I'm using and ePad with IntegriSign software.  The program crashes and closes every time I drag and create a signature box.  The software works fine in other programs such as Word but not Acrobat 9.  I hope someone will be able to help me figure out how to fix it.  Thanks!

  • Digitally sign multiple pdf files

How to digitally sign multiple pdf files with adobe acrobat XI?

Are you trying to apply certificate-based encryption or add a signature to a PDF form field?
The first one is easy with Acrobat Pro; just create a new Action with the encryption task set to your requirements, then run the Action against a folder of files.

  • How to sign a pdf file and save it directly back to sharepoint site?

    Hello,
I own a Sharepoint site for testing. It is installed in my computer with Sharepoint 2010 (WSS). What I want to do is to find a way to achieve a signing function for pdf file type on sharepoint.
By refer to this site below, the site has been able to recognize pdf file type and open it and edit it directly on the sharepoint site.
    http://www.portalsolutions.net/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=40
I can edit the pdf file by checking out and then the modification will be save directly back to the pdf file in the shared document library when I am done. Now the problem is, I cannot save the pdf directly back to sharepoint after I inserted a digital signature
    to the pdf file.
Everytime I inserted a digital signature to the pdf file, a "save as..." window would pop up and asked me to save the signed pdf file as another file in my local computer, so the changes were not applied to the original pdf file on the shared document library
of my sharepoint site. I have to upload the local signed version back to the site and replace the old one manually.
    Any suggestion? Thank you.

    Hi,
According to my analysis, for Digital Signatures: Adobe has changed the behavior around digital signatures and SharePoint-hosted PDF files. Now, when digitally signing a SharePoint-hosted PDF file, it will be saved directly to SharePoint if that PDF file
is already checked out. If not, the user will be prompted to check it out. When digitally signing a SharePoint-hosted PDF file in Acrobat X, Version 10.0, the user would be prompted to save that file locally and would then need to upload it separately to SharePoint
    as a new version.
I suggest that you use Acrobat X, then check the result. For more information about Acrobat X, please refer to
    http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfitmatters/2011/06/whats-new-in-acrobat-x-version-10-1.html
In addition, you can also consider the following third-party tool:

  • How do I stop PSE from opening PDF files?

I want to use Adobe Reader to open PDF files.  Whenever I click a PDF file to open, the computer opens it with PSE.  I am using Windows XP and Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0.  How do I switch the computer to use Adobe Reader instead of Adobe Photoshop Elements to open PDF files?

  • Can't sign a pdf file

I've received a pdf file as an email attachment which I've been asked to sign and return.  There are five fields to be filled in (which appear simply as an underline) but none of them can be typed on.  The file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.

    Hi,
Does anyone have the solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem using Reader 11.0.8.
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to sign a PDF file, make some changes, and add another signature?

For example, if you create a test plan, sign off on it, fill it in electronically, and need to sign the "filled in version" too? It would be good to be able to create a document that gets signed off, that then can be added to, and then the addition also signed. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear. We could use the certify feature, maybe, but we need to have multiple people sign-off on a file the first time before it's used. Then we want someone to use the info/add comments/maybe complete a form (we haven't worked that out) and have them sign that they completed it.
    Thank you.

Yes you can with restrictions. You need to create your original PDF in such a way that you may make certain changes after it is signed. The easiest way to do it is to certify the original PDF with certain permissions. Acrobat Pro UI provides certain combinations of such permissions. Adobe LiveCycle provides more granular combinations of permissions but this is an expensive solution. Try first what Acrobat Pro UI gives you and see if it gets you want you need. You may apply as many modifications and signatures to the document as long as they conform to the certification permissions. The last signer can also lock his signature which disallows further modifications and signing.

  • Can't sign interactive PDF files

Hi there! I've been having a problem where, given an interactive PDF form to fill out (in this case, job applications), Adobe Reader will recognize the signature field (when I mouse over it, it says "Unsigned signature field (Click to sign)"), but when I click to sign it, nothing happens. When I type, nothing is entered into the signature field. If I click the field too many times, Adobe Reader crashes.
I have had this problem with several different forms from different employers, though I  did come across one interactive PDF I could sign successfully (but only one, I think). I can usually fill in the rest of the interactive fields with no issues.
In the files with the broken signature fields, when I open the "Sign" pane, everything under "Fill & Sign" is greyed out; everything's functional in the file with the working signature field.
Also, the broken signature fields are blue like the rest of the interactive fields, but also has a red bar/arrow in the upper left hand corner, with text that I think says "your name" (it's very small). The working signature field is also blue, but is outlined in red.
I've also had a problem in one file where inputting "From" and "To" dates (for employment periods, school periods, etc) into one section inputs those dates into further sections. In other words, I put in the month/year when I started college and when I finished college, and those dates also appeared in the fields further down the application where it wanted the month/year I started and finished an employment period.
I have the latest version of Adobe Reader.
How can I fix this? It's making the already stressful activity of job hunting even more stressful. Thanks!

Bump? Is that a thing that we do here? I really need a solution.

  • Creating a visible signature on multiple pages when digitally signing a PDF

When I digitally sign a PDF file, is there a way to make the visible signature appear on every page of the PDF at once, instead of just the current page?  Specifically, I'd like to place a scan of a professional engineer's seal on every sheet of a PDF containing MEP drawings, in one step, as I digitally sign the file with Adobe Acrobat.  I've done some research and haven't found any relevant information for this particular question, so maybe it's not possible?  I'd like to know for sure, one way or the other.
    Thanks much.
    Robert

The appearance of a signature is something of no importance at all, so just stamp the pages first, then sign withou an appearance.

  • How to remove password-encryption in a signed PDF file?

I can open a password-encryption and digitally signed PDF file using Acrobat X Standard but cannot remove the password protection.
Can anyone help me remove the password encryption?  The Acrobat only allows to set passsord encryption before adding digital signature to a PDF file.  Can I sign a PDF file and then encrypt it with password?  Thanks.

Removing the security, if it is possible, would destroy the signature.
Encrypting a signed PDF would destroy the signature.
This is because signatures validate the file exactly as it is, and changes to the file break the signature by design. Setting security is a change to the PDF (a big change).

  • Help token (SafeNet) IKEY 2032 sign pdf files

Hi . i'm trying to sign one pdf file with token safeNet IKEY 2032 but when i use SUN PK-CS11 i got the following error: sun.security.pkcs11.wrapper.PKCS11Exception: CKR_MECHANISM_INVALID

can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?
    tks
    sorry my english

java access ikey via native lib, so you should double check in config file
    example code:
    java.security.Provider oProvider = new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11(pkcs11.cfg);
    Security.addProvider(oProvider);
double check file pkcs11.cfg and make sure in your application declare corect lib for ikey

  • Signing Adobe PDF

Hi, I am trying to "sign" a PDF file. I was able to this AM, but I cannot all of a sudden. It wont let me write or anything. Please help I need this for work!

Does the document you're trying to sign have any security restrictions?
You might want to contact the Topaz folks since applying a digital signature with their pad relies on a plug-in they supply. You can get the latest one here: http://www.topazsystems.com/software/download/plugins.htm
