SSH can't connect, but output "no kex alg"

Hello, I've got a problem with my ssh/sftp, could some one help me out please? It is like this: I setup the ssh/sftp in the "system preferences", generated the keys with ssh-keygen. But when I use ssh/sftp to connect, it give me a out put "no kex alg", what should I do?
Help, help!
regards, and thank you.

This TC is going back. What a POS! Now it won't even connect to the LAN. Had it for less then a week and its been down more then up. NOT impressed.

    What devices?
Iphoen supports bluetooth for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices, some keyboards, some apps from the app store and interenet tethering if provided by your carrier.
It does not connect to computers, other phones, etc.

    Hey Babakgh,
I understand that you've experienced recent issues with your Wi-Fi network where you can only connect to it if you're close to the router. I would start off troubleshooting your Wi-Fi network by following the steps in here:

some times my internet connection will say it has timed out and I can not connect. but my friends mac never has a problem. How can I fix this?

Just confirming, when you have the trouble, the wifi icon is grayed-out or has all bars showing? I believe you are saying that is is grayed-out - not connected to your wireless router.
I have a Mini that started to lose connection to the Internet after the 10.7.3 update but still showed the wireless as connected. If I pinged the wireless router, I would get a quarter of the packets failing to return. The router was a Netgear that supported 802.11N connections. As a test, I set it to 802.11G (54MBps) maximum and the Mini worked fine for a week - no dropouts. And for the other devices that did support 802.11N, while there was a noticeable delay with downloads and pages loading, they still worked.
As another test, I changed the Netgear router to a Billion 802.11N model and the Mini has not had a problems since. (It is still using 802.11g). So it could be your router that is causing trouble for your Mac.
Have a look at some of the More Like This postings in the right column. There has been a number of Mac owners experiencing wifi connection issues and some very good suggestions as to how to resolve their issue.

  • Can't connect but can ping & use AP Util

    A couple issues:
TC shows up in finder, can ping it (static ip, as are all my ip's) and use the airport utility. It worked fine for a day or so, now with no changes, this is where I'm at. I get an error about it not existing. I've tried to 'connect As' even 'connect to server' in Finder trying names and ip - no joy.
TC is set up with only Ethernet (cable) WiFi is turned off. File sharing with accounts (all are OK) My MacBook Pro and Mini can't connect.
I find it odd that the Air Port utility connects to it just fine. Does it use the AFP or UDP/TCP?
I'm going to reboot the TC and see. But if I need to reboot it every day or so, its worthless to me.
    Topology (another issue) is:
    router/switch Gb --> switch 2 100b ---> TC
When I tried to make the TC be the middle (to keep a Gb network) it didn't work. (yes, I know about the uplink ports; even tried the standard ports)
(oh other kinda non issue: Printers don't show up in the AirPort utility, but remote 'puters print fine)

  • OSX can not connect but android can ...

i have some issues for several week now. (first it worked and then someone added XMPP federated users access and it stoped to work) i also can not go back to the old settings.
    first my setup :
    i have two servers
    1. Frontend server in the domain.
    2. Edge server not domain joined and in the same subnet (no DMZ)
internally and externally all laptops (osx + windows) can connect.
but with mobile devices only the androis can connect and the osx devices give an certifcate error.
or can not connect to the server eroor,
    The current certificate configuration is:
Edge Servers have a wildcard external domain certificate by Commodo.
Front End Servers have an internal certificate provided by our Internal CA.
The Fortigate have the wildcard certificate.
please help me to troubleshoot this issues.
my cert chain seems to be correct and i did rebuild my config like a thousand time already.

    thanks for your answer:
the url you provided me points to the iphone configuration utility that has been removed.
i did send all the certificates to my phone by email but still no luck:

    Any ideas?
    -Chris

I fixed the situation by replacing my Linksys B with an Airport Extreme.
The Linksys was probably the culprit for some flakiness that had started several months back - dropped connections, etc.
So the question is now moot.

  • How can I connect the output of a force transducer unit(BNC cable) to the PCI-6036E DAQ card via the SCB-68 block connector?

I m using the 404A force transducer unit by Aurora Scientific and i want to connect the (converted to Volt) output, which is a BNC cable, to the PCI-6036E DAQ card via the SCB-68 connector block, facing difficulties in choosing the correct input mode for my signal(couldn t clear this using the manual), setting the switches and which channel shall i use in the block connector in order to configure ot with LABVIEW

    Hi MSc Student,
Connecting your transducer to the 6036E card via the SCB-68 connector block should be pretty straight forward. You have 2 choices of input mode, Referenced Single Ended (RSE) this is where you will connect the screen of the BNC cable to a ground connection for the DAQ card in the SCB-68 and the other to any analogue input channel . These are listed in the device pinouts in the help section of MAX, under the 68 pin devices section. The terminal block numbers correspond to the DAQ card's pin numbers. Another method, which avoids ground loop problems would be to use the Differential connection and connect the signal and ground connections of the BNC cable to a differential analogue input, these are listed in the 6036E manual and in th
e MAX help section again. the disadvantage to using this method is 2 analogue input channels are used and you must use the lowest 8 analogue input channels for differential inputs.
The switch settings that you need can be found in the manual for the SCB-68 in table 2-1, the manual can be found here : http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/320745b.pdf
The switches are for power to extra signal conditioning and the cold junction compensation for thermocouples which in your case you do not need so set the switches to the positions in the first box ie Direct feedthrough, with temperature sensor disabled and accessory power disabled. The channel you use should not matter the only ting to remember will be that if you use differential mode measurement that you will be connecting the signals to AI(n) and AI(n+8) so differential input 0 is across the connectors for AI0 and AI(8). The channel numbers corespond to the analogue input number for the card.
    I hope this information helps,

My FaceTime won't work it won't let me sign in but my wifi is working on my brother what can I do to fix it?

Are you trying to FaceTime to your computer, or iPhone with your iPod? Do they share the same address? If so change the address to one of your devices, otherwise it's like trying to call yourself from the same phone. If not the problem, then I'm not understanding your question. Could you restate it with a little more detail. Good luck.

  • How can I connect the output of a BNC cable as a differential input to the SCB-68 block connector?

The output of a BNC cable has two lines, one for my voltage data and one for the ground. I would like to use the differential input mode of the SCB-68 connector block and i m not sure if i have to connect the ground to AI0 and the voltage to AI7 or the opposite, and also what is the name of this channel when i have to configure it using Labview. The DAQ card i m using is the 6036E.

    Hi,
Because it just measures the potetial difference between the 2 pins it does not really matter. i would stick with the +ve going to the first channel of the pairing and then the -ve going to the second. You then have to go into Measurement & Automation explorer and create a virtual channel. In here you right click data neighbourhood and create channel....go through the steps, I.E analog input, device type, input type as just a voltage....and then on one of the later screens it tells you the exact pins to connect the wires to and gives you the option to select RSE NRSE or differential input type....as you change the connection type the pins guidance changes accordingly. its quite straight fwd and very easy to follow using this wizard.
    Cheers

  • Router can't connect but modem can

I've been using this WRT54G broadband router with linksys am300 adsl modem for a long time now until a few days ago my internet couldn't work. I tried directly pulgging to my modem, internet works. If i go through router, no internet. I tried reset router to factory default, it worked and I could surf for like 15 minutes, then it dropped again. I tried again to connect ethernet directly to modem without going through router, internet works fine. I've done reset on the router a couple of times after that, but I could not complete the steps and my internet doesn't work when I using the router. What should I do with my router??

Logon to www.linksys.com/downloads and download the firmware for the router and upgrade it .
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: - Open
an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on
the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' to select the
extracted/uncompressed .img or .bin file and click on "Upgrade"-Wait for few seconds ....
It shows that "Upgrade successful"  After
the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back
to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Reset the router for few seconds ....
    Reconfigure it ....

  • Can't connect to internet - but all settings seem correct!

My G5 can't connect to the internet (but my Mac Pro can). I've just had an engineer out because I thought it was the cable connection (I connect via a cable modem). Yet I can ping a host via the Network Utility when I boot from the Tiger DVD - so there doesn't seem to be a hardware problem. But from my user account I can't access the internet.
All the Network settings look fine - no firewall, nothing looks out of place. I'm getting an IP address served by the modem, and Diagnostics even says it can connect to the ISP server just no dialog with the internet!!! It's bizzare. Tried ping from Terminal too, no go. I've repaired permissions, still no go. Only thing I haven't done is zap the PRAM.
This is a direct connection to the modem via ethernet (I usually use a router but it's out of the equation now)
There's something blocking the connection but I can't find out what.
This happened after I swapped the network round so that my new Mac Pro would be the main internet machine (sharing the connection with other machines on my network). Previously I could connect to the G5 via the Mac Pro but that's no longer working, or rather it's REALLLLLY slow, it will eventually connect.
The only thing I've done out of the ordinary is put the drive from the G5 inside the Mac Pro to transfer some of my files. I had used BatChmod to change permissions on some User folders so I could copy them, but I've repaired the premissions since.
    please HELP!!!!!!

I solved my problem by installing a fresh system on a different drive and starting from that. My Mac can now connect - but starting up into the other system causes the same no-internet problem so I can only assume it is some OS corruption that caused it.
    Hope that helps someone.
