Ssh forwarded glx problem with older servers

Hi,
I've recently started having problems with displaying OpenGL apps forwarded through an ssh session to an SGI Altix. It seems like it might be an upgrade problem that has also been observed on Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/384001
Has anyone experienced similar difficulties or have a potential workaround?
I'm running the opensource xorg-video-ati drivers and have tried with DRI as well as software rendering.
Regards,
Alex

Bah. The discussion board nuked the ascii formatting.
The short version of the problem is that in the ssh banner, a single backslash is displayed as two backslashes in the terminal.

settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If  you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!
one of those shall work. The last step would be to restore your device (apple.com/support) HT1414

  • Possible internal modem problem with older iBook (Mac OS X 10.3.8)

I have an older iBook - from year 2000 or 2001. So its airport card is so old it's stopped reliably working & I don't know where I could find a replacement. In the meantime I want to get internet connection on it so I've tried plugging a phone cord from the wall outlet (that I always use succesfully for my desktop PC) into the laptop and typing in the phone #, account name and password of my desktop's internet account under "internal modem." BUT I keep getting a busy signal over & over when I dial up. I called my ISP & they thought it's a problem with my laptop's modem. I called Apple & they thought it's an issue with the ISP. Help?

    Hi,
So its airport card is so old it's stopped reliably working & I don't know where I could find a replacement.
If you have been using an internal wireless network, the router (base station) should (normally) allow you to connect via an Ethernet cable from the corresponding port in the iBook as well.
BUT I keep getting a busy signal over & over when I dial up
Without knowing any details, this seems to indicate that the modem does work. Wrong number/own number? Have you checked that everything has been entered correctly according to the instructions from the ISP?
Could KB article # 106748 possibly be of any help here?

  • Are most problems with older 5G or with newly release iPods?

    Hi,
I was really interested in buying the 80GB iPod that was just released but was wondering if a lot of the problems that people are reporting are with the older iPods that have been updated v1.2 and iTunes 7 or if it's with the new ones? Should I wait a little while until iTunes 7 is fixed?
Dual 1.8GHz Power Mac G5, Powerbook G4, 4G iPod, iPod Nano   Windows XP

I have a new 80g ipod. No problems with the software at all but then I'm working with a clean slate.

  • Problems with older Nikon NEF files (2003)

When you click on the crop tool in the Develop module on an image with NEF 2003 version, the preview goes blank to grey.  Also, when certain adjustment are performed, they don't show up in the preview.  If you scroll all the way down in the Develop menu, manually setting the type back to 2003 fixes the preview.
On most of my images, I cannot convert the way these old NEFs are treated to the 2012 version.  It doesn't allow it.
Anyone else had similar problems with old NEF files?

LR4 Beta works fine with my old (circa 2004) NEF files from my D70, using the 2012 process.  I can select the 2003 process and it still works fine.

    Hi everyone,
    I think there is a problem with http://appldnld.apple.com/ : My DSL connection is 17down et 0,88up http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3898930394]
But when i'm downloading a file from the download center of Apple from iTunes or anywhere else, the download speed decrease under 200 Kbps so that it takes 8 hours to download. Normally it takes approximately 15min...
Someone else have the same problem?

  • Problems with older PCI-Videocards on K8N SLI Platinum ??

    Hi there,
i just recieved my K8N SLI Platinum (without NEO) yesterday. Unfortunatly my new PCIe-Videocard isn't here yet,
so i just built my rig with an old S3 Trio64 to install Windows etc. and to have at least my PC for some surfing and so on...
    The problem is:
The Card is marked with an ! in the device-manager. It says the card couldn't get its required resources, and that i'd have to
disable some other device of the system first to fully use the videocard. I checked for IRQ's, but the card has an exclusive one.
I put it in the second (middle) PCI-Slot on the board. Due to that error, the drivers are not installed correctly and the performance
of the display is ... well its even to slow for scrolling pages while surfing ... thats realy anoying, and my PCIe-card will not be here
until the end of next week
I even manged to get another old PCI-dinosaur, but with no luck. The same Problem persists. So i think it's some problem with
the board or some iossettings. The only thing regarding display in the bios was the PCIe / PCI switch which is correctly set to PCI.
So if anyone knows how to get an old PCI-card running in that board, please help me
    [ApoC]

    Well,
"f***ing up" the OS is not a problem, i got a GHOST of my perfectly fresh & clean OS.
    I have disabled:
both SATA-Controllers (still running on good old ATA Samsung SpinPoint P80)
the FireWire-Controller (which is shown in Windows anyways  )
I changed the videocard from PCI 2 to PCI 1, with the only result that it shares IRQ with the OnBoard-Soundblaster in slot1.
In slot2 it gets an exclusive IRQ. The problem is, i can't even see what resources are making trouble since Windows doesn't
show any information in the cards resource-infos but that it ain't working (say what?)
    *sigh*

  • 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services Problems With Older RDP Clients

I recently deployed a new 2008 R2 server to serve as a Terminal Server (Remote Desktop Services) for about 30 people. The new server is replacing a 2003 server. I expected the new machine to be a considerable upgrade and was looking forward to happy people
and less problems. Reality is I am finding several unexpected headaches - discouraging considering the amount of money we have spent on the new machine.
Most of the users connect via HP thin clients, they are the T5510, T5520 and T5530 thin clients. What I have found is performance issues when connecting via these thin clients. I believe the RDP client on these thin clients is RDP 5.5 or earlier. And I do
not believe it is possible to upgrade the RDP client version on the thin clients - I guess they are to be seen as "disposable".
The performance issues are: black blocks appearing when connected - and I have deselected bitmap caching - makes no difference. When typing in certain places the display of the typed characters could not keep up with the user. And lastly I have a weird thing
that just popped up today; where if the user goes to Google it freezes up their entire environment - I cannot even remote control the user/session - why this came up today and was not a problem before I am not sure.
With all of the above issues I have found that the problem goes away or does not exist if I connect to the server using an RDP client on an XP or 7 computer. So I have to conclude the RDP client is the problem.
Does anyone have information on this? Is there anything I can do as far as configuration on the server to allow me to use these older RDP clients? Do I have any alternative other than buying new thin clients?
    thanks!

From your description, I also agree that the problem may be in the top RDP client.

Upgrading RDP to the latest version of HP Web site.
Let thin clients use to connect to the Remote desktop server with low load.
    (1) Open the Remote desktop client in customer’s Thin Client
    (2) Click Advanced option. In choose your connection speed to optimize performance area, you can select the low load option. For example, modem(56kbps).
I noticed that you have deselected bitmap caching in Remote Desktop Client options, but makes no difference. You can try again. Then please remember disconnect idle sessions and rational allocation of resources in Terminal Server.

  • Networking problem with all servers after easter holiday.

    Hi everyone.
So I have an unusuall problem at my workplace. After the easter holidays all my virtual (vmware) microsoft servers started to act up.  They can't be pinged but they can ping clients. Our DC2 is currently working. DC1 works randomly and ping responses
drop and doesnt come up again untill i do a rollback on my snapshot. DC1 stops responding (ping) when i try to start up my exchange server who also got issues with ping.. this one can't be reached at all with ping. Firewall is off on all servers and no anti-virus
is installed. Only time ping work on them all work is when I start them in safemode.
    Any help appreciated.
Edit: Even isolated the network down to one new switch and same problem arrise.

  • RTSP steaming Port Forward (?) problems with 4 (four) WVC54GCA cameras on WRT54G v2 router.

I am having difficulties correctly setting up my four (4) WVC54GCA cameras on a WRT54G v2 router to make them stream RTSP videos that I can view on my BlackBerry Bold. I can access the cameras from the internet, through
    http://CAM1_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1024
    http://CAM2_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1025
    http://CAM3_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1026
    http://CAM4_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1027
    so that part works fine.
All the 4 cameras are set up with static IP addresses.
The default RTSP port 554 and RTP Data port at 5000 are forwarded to CAM1 IP address. I can access CAM1 RTSP feed on my Blackberry Bold (and also on a good old Samsung SGH-A706 cell phone).
    CAM 1 Settings:
    STATIC IP: 192.168.1.201
Alternate HTTP Port: 1024 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.201
    RTSP Port: 554 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.201
RTSP Data Port: 5000 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.201
RTSP access on cell phone WORKS only with the following format: rtsp://CAM1_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1111, where 1111 is the access code.
    CAM 2 Settings:
    STATIC IP: 192.168.1.202
Alternate HTTP Port: 1025 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.202
    RTSP Port: 1029 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.202
RTSP Data Port: NOT SURE IF I NEED TO FORWARD ONE, HELP PLEASE
Despite I have a dedicated subdomain for each camera from TZO, the following link DOESN’T WORK
rtsp://CAM2_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1111, where 1111 is the access code.
Actually, when I enter the above link, the cellphone brings in the feed from CAM1, I guess due to the identical access code with CAM2. Once I change the access code for CAM2, it doesn’t’t show any feed.
    CAM 3 Settings:
    STATIC IP: 192.168.1.203
Alternate HTTP Port: 1026 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.203
    RTSP Port: 1030 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.203
RTSP Data Port: NOT SURE IF I NEED TO FORWARD ONE HELP PLESE
Despite I have a dedicated subdomain for each camera from TZO, the following link DOESN’T WORK
rtsp://CAM3_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1111, where 1111 is the access code. This feed also brings in CAM1.
    CAM 4 Settings:
    STATIC IP: 192.168.1.204
Alternate HTTP Port: 1027 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.204
    RTSP Port: 1031 à Forwarded to 192.168.1.203
RTSP Data Port: NOT SURE IF I NEED TO FORWARD ONE HELP PLEASE
Despite I have a dedicated subdomain for each camera from TZO, the following link DOESN’T WORK
rtsp://CAM4_SubDomain.Linksys-Cam.com/1111, where 1111 is the access code. This feed also brings in CAM1
DMZ could probably fix the problem for a second camera, but not for all four CAMs
    OS: XP SP2
Question 1: Any idea how can I get all the four cameras RTSP feed on my cell/BlackBerry?
Question 2: I am running out of Port Range forwards. Should I add more port forwards, I have only one more shot. Any workaround?
Each and every help idea is greatly appreciated!

I have six of these cams and used the tutorial and review at http://www.Myhomserver.com for help.  First thing, set ALL the RTSP access codes the SAME, so all you need to do is increment the port for each cam
Cam 1 - 192.168.1.200 - set at port 80 TCP - RTSP port default at 554, forward port 5000 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
Cam 2 - 192.168.1.201 - set at port 1024 TCP - RTSP port at 1029, forward port 5001 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
Cam 3 - 192.168.1.202 - set at port 1025 TCP - RTSP port at 1030, forward port 5002 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
Cam 4 - 192.168.1.203 - set at port 1026 TCP - RTSP port at 1031, forward port 5003 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
Cam 5 - 192.168.1.204 - set at port 1027 TCP - RTSP port at 1032, forward port 5004 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
Cam 6 - 192.168.1.205 - set at port 1028 TCP - RTSP port at 1033, forward port 5005 UDP/TCP and the RTSP access code 12345
This worked for me using the above settings....take your time, plan out the ports, all RTSP ports must be different on each cam
Accessing CAMS can be done via your cell phone below:
    Camera 1---> RTSP://<your TZO camera domain>:554/12345
    Camera 2---> RTSP://<your TZO camera domain>:1029/12345
    Camera 3---> RTSP://<your TZO camera domain>:1030/12345

  • Problems with older version of fglrx and fglrx kernel version patch

Hi I'm having problems making a package of an older version of FGLRX with the new 2.6.20 kernel update.  Reason why I want to use an older version is <a href = "http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=26888">here</a> (sadly, ATI hasn't fixed this issue).  It appears the newest patch can't find the appropriate source files to patch, I tried switching the names of the files to the ones writting in the previous patch, but that simply fails.
I have the old binary driver, the newest install file and the  newest patch file.  Here's what I'm getting when I run makepkg:

  • Problem with Blueyonder servers and Mac Mail

I have experienced considerable difficulty in setting up my Blueyonder email account on my new MacBook Air running Mac Mail in Yosemite. After spending over eleven hours with very helpful second line technical support staff at Apple and Virgin Media (both companies wouldn't accept responsibility for the problem unsurprisingly!) I have been forced to the conclusion that I simply can't use Mac Mail and my Blueyonder account.
The problem was fixed by ditching Mac Mail in favour of a new Mail Client as the prospect of changing my email account (with all the consequent notifications to people/organisations set up to use my Blueyonder address) was too depressing!
I firstly used 'Inky' which is free and really easy to set up as it finds the servers and ports for you and (only because I didn't like Inky's layout) I bought 'Postbox' (available on a 30 day free trial) which looks almost identical to Mac Mail, finds the servers and ports for you and has a number of really useful additional features that I'm currently exploring.
Has anybody else experienced this incompatibility problem and, if so, was there a fix I missed?

I have the same problem, basically Mail sometimes works but then will stop and the only way to get it working again is to completely delete the mail account (off the mac) and start again.
Almost at the point now of trying a new mail client as this is really annoying!

  • HT1933 Problem with older song purchase

I purchased a track a number of years ago that skips towards the end. I've since noticed that the track skips in the same place when played from iCloud. Downloading the track doesn't make it any better. I learned to live with it, but now that I've purchased another problematic song (and reported it), I want to report the older purchase. The problem is that the mechanism for doing so only goes back about 6 months.
How can I report this track, so that it may be fixed?

No, there isn't. All the iTunes Store tracks is purchases by account. There's no way to identify which specific device accessed that account.

  • Problems with older BT mighty mouse - no pref pane?

I recently was given an older BT mighty mouse (meaning the model without the trackball). It works great, except when I go into the mouse preferences, it won't let me set the buttons. With my wired mighty mouse, I get a menu that shows the mouse and lets you pick what each button will do.... my BT mighty mouse doesn't show this at all. I currently have no right click option, and can't get anywhere to set it.
Is this normal, or is there something I'm missing that needs to be installed/changed?

I have tried using the keyboard/mouse software that came with my wireless keyboard -no luck.
Have deleted the com.apple.bluetooth.plist file, rebooted, cleared the PRAM, and reinstalled with no luck.
Have deleted the device and set it up again - no luck
I have an option to set my tracking speed and my double-click speed and that's it. No options for the buttons, nothing...
