SSHR - MSS - include Benefits page in the Hire function

Hello -
My client's requirement is to include the Benefits function in the "Hire" sequence of pages in Manager Self Service.
The sequence of pages required for "Hire" is--
Enter Basic Details > Person Details > Assignment > Pay Rate > Benefits > Review
Now, Benefits is inside SSBEN item type, whereas rest of the functions is in HRSSA. I want to know how we can achieve this requirement.
Can we create a workflow function in HRSSA and somehow point it to the benefits page? What else need to be done to achieve the functionality.

Hi Tushar,
SSBEN is built and configured differently from other manager SS functions and so, it will not be possible to integrate it with other flows (Especially Hire) You can add the benefits function to the manager SS menu and the managers can separately go and provide benefits to employees.
In most cases, benefits can be defaulted for employees and the rest are chosen by employees themselves. why is there a requirement for managers to do it ?

Don't include last page of the SSRS report based on the parameter.

I created the report, which has 4 pages.
Each page contains bunch of tables and charts, which display data in scope of dataset, created for each page and reflecting certain subject.
Each page also has Header and Footer.
My users requested, the report has possibility to include or not include data on Page #4.
Other words, report should display 3 or 4 pages based on the entered parameter.
1. I created parameter named “Include #### metrics”, which contains options: Y, N
2. For each object on the page 4 I added dependency on the selected
parameter in the visibility option.
Now if user select parameter Not include Page #4, report displays 3 pages as expected and page #4 is empty, but with Header and Footer.
The problem: Their
preference is to not to show page 4 at all if someone chooses to not to include
#### metrics.
My question is how to force the report to display just 3 selected pages.

Per my understanding that you have add page break to make the report to display on three diferent pages and you want to show and hide the fourth page based on the parameter selected, now the issue is although the content on the fourth page have been hidden
but the page header and page footer still display, right?
I have tested on my local envoronment and can reproduce the issue, the issue can be caused by the page break you have set, you may have check the "Add a page break after", please find the details information below to reset the page break:
Please create four rectangles and add all the content from each pages to include in each rectangle
Please check the "Add a page break before" for rectangle2, rectangle3,rectangle4 in the rectangle properties and not add any page break in the first rectangle (Rectangle1)
Add expression below to show/hide the rectangle4:
=iif(Parameters!IncludePage4.Value="No",true,false)
Now you will not see the page header and footer in the fourth page when you select "No" in the parameter.

Is it possible to insert (or add) a blank page into the middle of an existing chapter of a book created with iBooks Author?

I have one LONG chapter in my book and feel is necessary to make some edits that include additional pages within the chapter itself. But when I INSERT a page or press the +Page prompt as I have my chapter open to the place I wish to insert a page, the new page appears only at the END of the chapter and not at the point within the chapter that I would want the new blank page to appear. What gives? Another under developed software bug, or....?
Anyone else have the same issue and has been able to overcome it?

A new page is always dropped at the end. The only option I have found is simply to copy and paste everything down one - or as you want to adapt it. I assume its not a text only book or the text would flow and add pages as required.

Add pages before the table of content into the table of content

Hey,
I was wondering if someone can help me. I'm writing my dissertation and I have to include an abstract and acknowledgments before the table of content ( written on pages 1 and 2). How can I get pages to include these pages within the table of contents written on page 3?

You can't get it in the TOC automatically. You can do it manually but you'll loose the updating feature of the TOC so do it when you are certain you are finished with the document.
What you do is copy the whole TOC and paste it in Textedit. Here you can do all the changes you want. Copy it again and paste it back in the Pages document.

How can I include a parsys inside a javascript function.

I am using radio button provided by CQ5.4.
I am writing a javascript function which checks whether a radio button is being clicked or not..
If the radio button is being clicked an alert window is opening ..this means that function is being called when radio button is being clicked.
but when I try to include parsys instead of alert window, when the radio button is being clicked..the parsys is not appearing..
Can u please help me that how should i write the "<cq:include>" for parsys inside the javascript function so that it starts appearing on click of the radio button.

Ashwani,
I would recommend detecting the WCMMode and always showing the parsys if the page is displaying in edit or design mode:

Unless there is a really good reason to hide the section from authors, it's generally confusing to authors to hide a section. Additionally, hiding a parsys in JavaScript can cause strange artifacts as the drag and drop section of the parsys won't be hidden with the content of the parsys.

Parsing xml using the .text() function in as3

I am accessing an xml document in actionscript, I know flash can see the xml as I am tracing it but when I add the .text() funtion to my trace to strip out the tags by trace doesn't see anything.
this works...

The text() function returns an XMLList object, not a string literal.
To trace out the return of XML.text() - you need to loop through the object.

Or you could use the toString() method instead.
trace(myXML.toString());
(The reason your first code works is because toString is automatically applied to trace statements, unless you specify something different)

Whre is the ahci function ??

Hi everyone, new on forum and have first question On my HP G5301it Desktop ( product number LF932EA,MB H-I41-uATX (Eton/EtonL, Manufacturer: Foxconn, Chipset: Intel G41 Express), installed a new Samsung 840 evo SSD. Before buy the new hd checked on HP web pages if the Ahci function is supported by the MB. I found that to enable Ahci, on this MB, the Sata controller must be set to Enabled, this for bios 6.0 or before, the one on my mb is 6.10 28/12/11, core version 08.00.15. But when cheched on the Ide/atapi controller dont find any ahci. There is any hope to set this MB on ahci, or Im forced to by an extension card with sata controller ??

Do you mean the HP Utility? If so, you can launch the open the printer's queue from Print & Fax Prefs; once the printer's queue is opened, use the Printer Utility menu item in the Printer menu. The printer needs to have been added with the Epson driver, not the Gutenprint driver, for the utility to work.
You can also check the /Library/Printers/hp/Utilities folder; that's where the utility is.

NSArray of UIButtons calling the same function

I'm basically attempting to create an array of 9 UIButtons which will all call the same function, but I need to know which button was clicked.
I'm not entirely sure how to create the NSArray of buttons, and when I include (id)sender with the selectSquare function, it doesn't work. Any help is much appreciated!

The positions I have for my buttons seemed to be perfect when I tested them, so I just went with that vs. using IB.
As for the tag property, would it just be an int? Like:button1.tag = 5And then use the tag as that button's index in the array? So the button with tag 5 would be the 6th element?
Also, I'm still not sure on why -(void) selectSquare:(id) sender; doesn't work. When I click on "a1" (the current button with an action assigned to it), the simulator does nothing and then brings Xcode to the front... But when I take out (id)sender, it works fine.
In the second thread I posted, somebody mentioned something about unbinding and rebinding control actions to fix this, but I'm not too sure what that process entails.

SSHR - MSS ICD (Individual comp Distr) if chained in Hire workflow commits

hello -
I have inlcuded the ICD(Individual Compensation Distribution) workflow function inside the seeded Hire workflow processes.
the seeded sequence is -
Emp Details > Asg Details > Pay Rate > Change Manager > Review
I have customized it to -
Emp Details > Asg Details > Pay Rate > ICD> Change Manager > Review
However, I as soon as I am moving from the pay rate page to the ICD page, the data is committed to the tables and there is a row in the per_all_people_f table with null employee number. The same behavior is replicated if ICD is after the change manager function. Upon submitting the workflow background process, the a new row in person table is getting generated with a valid employee number.
Please advise whether I am making some error in the chaining process , or do we need to set up some attributes differently to prevent this commit. Or is this a bug with Oracle.
Page 8 of chapter 1 ( Page 40 in document SSHR User guide version 4.2 ) says that ICD workflow is chainable, hence I am trying to chain this function in the Hire Process between the pay rate function & Change Manager Function.

Thanks for your reply. It does provide me some insight into the reasons for this behavior, however when I searched for the participation process requests submitted in the last 2 days, I could not find any request related to the participation process.
Also, I tried to include the ICD in the Worker Status Change ( WSC ) Process, and it works perfectly fine there. If the participation process runs in commit mode, then half of the data entered in the pages prior to the ICD page should be committed, is this not correct ? But in WSC, it does not commit the data.
Hence, I am not too sure whether this is the intended functionality or whether it could be a bug.
Please do let me know your thoughts.

Right click on the page in Plan view and choose to exclude from menus. This will take it off your main nav.
For your bottom nav, change the menu to manual and add the privacy page manually.

Code relocation... how to "include '.js' file in the page" ..?

Several weeks back I was advised in a post ..: "For non .mac slideshow you need to include the photo page's .js file in the page that you want to jump from."
I asked for clarifications, but got no response.
Now, recovering from file corruptions and an os reInstall, I'm back up to speed again - at least sufficient to get back into that issue.
The subject was "remote link to 'slideshow' " at this page:

I was asking how to activate a s.s. from a link on a different page, given that I was not publishing to dot-mac.
The response of moving the .js file was a real left curve for me; I've no idea of what do do with the suggestion.

-Like where in the initiating page would I include the .js?
-Like would that .js need some of it's own modifications before moving it or after?

It has nothing to do with the jsp per se, but rather the generated HTML page.

Using javascript, you could wrap the included page within a DIV tag or SPAN tag that is initially not visible. Then when the user clicks the button you would make the hidden DIV or SPAN visible.
The visibility attribute can be set to visible (to see it) or hidden (to not see it). Here's a page that might shed some light:

Makepkg: How to include source-bundled 'man pages' in the package?

I'm trying to create a PKGBUILD for my own Python program.
The source code has been packaged using Python's distutils. Now, AFAICT distutils do not help you in any intelligent way to include a man page, so I just used a MANIFEST template to add the file to the source package.
As for the PKGBUILD, I'm currently using an 'install -D -m0644' command (in the 'package' function) to copy the page from a directory under $srcdir to "${pkgdir}/usr/share/man/man1/${pkgname}.1.gz".
However, seeing that makepkg has some built-in functions for compressing man pages, I figured that maybe it could deal with the proper placement too? My manual approach works nicely, but well, I figure the less of a hack job, the better.

At any rate, I figured I wouldn't have been the only Pythonista dealing with this issue and starting reading other people's setup scripts and according to Mutagen's setup.py putting desktop software man pages in 'share/man/man1' under the 'installation prefix' (a local variable, usually '/usr' or '/usr/local') can be considered a POSIX universal. Don''t know if this is reliable or just one hack replacing another, but it would mean being able to let Python's setup script take care of pretty much everything.

I use Yahoo as my home page. As soon as I left it, the screen was grabbed by something that took it to a page including "adap.tv" in the URL. Help!

I use current version of Firefox on a Windows XP desktop machine. I normally use Yahoo as my home page and Firefox as my browser. Starting a few weeks ago, when I clicked on a link on the main Yahoo page, I would get about one second of whatever it was I wanted to read or see then another screen that included "adap.tv" in the very long URL would replace it. Starting yesterday, this program began to override the security settings in Firefox that told it to NOT change the home page and I now get about one second of Yahoo before it switches to a page with "adap.tv" in the "URL". I have reloaded Firefox without success.

Determining the page an include file is included in from within the include

I have a header file that I include in all of my JSP pages that import various tag libraries, Javascript files, and CSS files. I have the following line in it:
<body onLoad="checkQuestions()">
The purpose of that line is that I want it to execute the Javascript function "checkQuestions()", but only on certain pages. Is there a way to determine what is the current JSP page that the file is being imported into, perhaps by using a <c:if/> tag? I only want to execute the checkQuestions() function on certain pages otherwise I'll get errors because the function is checking for values in certain fields.

A simpler approach might be to have the checkQuestions() function check for the presence of a field on the page.
If that field is not there, just skip the functionality.
Its an easier check to do in javascript when you have the completed page than at the server end.
