SSL certificate expired for Google Mail

Hi there everyone, I am new here so please be gentle with me! I have had a Palm Pre on the 02 network since October and have been able to use my email fine. I use Googlemail and 02 using IMAP and today it keeps giving me error messages saying the SSL certificate has expired. I have tried turning SSL on and off, and have downloaded the software update for Palm OS but it's still not working. Is there an easy fix for this? If I change to POP will that work and how do I do that? Many thanks. Hellywobs.

Just to say that I have solved this from another source - the date was wrong on my phone. No idea why, but now I've set the date to today, it's working again. I went to the Date and Time App and made the change. Just thought I would post here in case anyone else has the same trouble - it is an easy solution.

SSL certificate expiration CCMS Monitoring

We are using ECC 6.0 server, HP-Unix and Oracle 10.2.0.5 database.
CCMS monitoring is setup in our environment for alerts Monitoring. We use SSL certificates for SSO logins.
As we know SSL certificates get expire in approx one year and when 2-3 days left in certificate expiration system start showing message to all uses for this cetificate expiration.
Now we are planning to include SSL certificate expiration in CCMS monitoring so that whenever before 10-15 days we get a message for certificate expire and we implmenet the certificate without any User intervention.
Now we search a lot but I do not find any option available in RZ20 and RZ21 to include this alert in CCMS.
Please let me do we have any way by which we can get an message of certification before user get this message.

I checked links and they are meeting my requirement but one thing I could not find is SSL information in RZ20.
I checked RZ20 tcode and I do not find where SSL information is available to assign auto reaction method to it to start getting Alert.
Can you please help me where I can find SSL certification path in RZ20.

Ssl certificate problem under lion (mail,safari)

Hello,
After a timemaschine backup recovery to my imac (mid 2010) lion os x 10.7.1 there is a strange behavior with ssl certificates in mail and safari !
Every time mail starts new it ask me to trust my mobile.me ssl certificate, what i do of course, but at the next start it appears again, same for ssl websites in safari every time a ssl popup to accept...
What i have done til now:
Repair permissions
drag the ssl certificate icon in the popup to the desktop and accept it manually
keychain utility edit all these ssl certificate and accept manually
mail:reenter account passwords accept ssl certificate again
reset keychain
this behavior appears at all account on the imac
ssl certificate are marked in the keychain utility as trusted
now I'm at the end of my knowledge....
can anybody please help, please !

Hi Simon,
As suggested by “TP” check where the certificate is stored. The certificate must be installed in the personal certificate of the computer account and not your personal account. Also you can check by running below command in command prompt to check
where the issue is going wrong as stated by “Alan” in this thread.
certutil -f –urlfetch -verify <your_certificate>.cer

Strange certificate error for google and facebook !

When i open facebook or youtube, it shows up a cert. error stating the site's ssl is only valid for yimg.com !
It's not always yimg.com, sometime it says the certificate is only valid for google.com when i browse FB or some other https sites !
The problem does not happen to all https sites !
I've provided two screen shots and thank you for taking the time to read this !

If you right-click the not-found-on-Google-cache page and select View Page Info, does the URL match the address bar?

SSL Certificate Expired Indesign CS6

So I open Indesign this morning and find that the SSL Certificate has expired. So my question is, since Adobe has come out with CC, is this going to be the trend at Adobe? Is this going to be Adobe's way of telling me to go CC? Because I am certainly not impressed that I have to go in and change settings so I do not get the message posted below every time I open Indesign, which is a legitimate paid for copy. I am planning on going to CC, but when I am ready. As you can tell I am not pleased to be posting this.

I may be totally wrong here, but this might be originating in the security settings of your browser or other Internet connection settings. SSL is a more-secure way for stuff to travel the 'Net, and some browsers or other Internet tools that manage your accounts and connections, have a setting to make SSL the connection type every time to open a Web site or page. There should be somewhere in yor browser or elsewhere in your Internet account connections manager, that specifies using SSL always. There may be a way to reset the certificate, or to request that it be renewed. Perhaps check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) tech support. Possibly the SSL issue is managed at their level. Also, if you're in a corporate environment, check with your IT support folks.

SSL Certificate expired

I've updated our internal application SSL certificates on our core WAEs group, for some reason it didn't push the updated ones down to the branch WAEs. The users are getting the expired cert error. The work around for now was to disable the SSL cert. Is there a procedure on how to update the SSL certs on your core WAEs? How can I check the branch WAE where the expired cert if being stored, it's not showing up when you issue a show
crypto certificates. I went and updated the existing ones with the new ones and the date had changed correctly.

As per the document, the certificates should be propogated to WAE and replace the expired one. Why it did not happen in your case, I believe requires some investigation. It may be that the CM-WAE connectivity is/was broken or may be the WAE is managed by CM but is configured in such a way that CM can not update config on WAE. This could happen if you are using Device Groups and if WAE is not part of that group.

How do I change an "offline" out mail server for Google mail to online. Currently 2 "offline acts use one online out Google server.

I have three Google accounts. All three work fine for incoming mail. However, two have their out going mail server listed as "offline." So when I send email from those two accounts, it goes through the one active online out going account. When the receiver get the email, it appears to come from the on online account, rather than the account from which it was sent (i.e., one of the two offline out server accounts). How do I get all of the out servers online?

I assume that you are talking about web browser links that create a new message in mail? If you are talking about web mail it will always go from the web mail service you are logged into
In mail when you have a new message you can select the account it is sent from in the drop down list just below the subject line
I believe that the next new mail defaults to the last account you used so if you just used .mac mail with mail the next time you send I believe it will start there until you change it
If mail is not running it will use the top account in the list - to change that open your mail preferences ==> accounts and drag your comcast account to the top of the list if it is not there

VPN Concentractor SSL Certificate Expired - Urgent Help

We have VPN concentractor 3030. Whe I log on via web its says that SSL certificate has expires and I cannot login to generate new certificate.
I even tried login via consol but it won't allow the connection.
What can I do.

The CONSOLE has nothing to do with the certificate. No matter what you should see the console prompt. If you cannot, make sure you are using a STRAIGHT THROUGH DB9 cable.
NOTE: This cable is different from the one used by PIX 520 and IDS boxes.

If it's a free gmail account, you don't. Google no longer permits free accounts to be set up using Exchange Active Sync. Only paid google apps accounts can be set up as Exchange accounts.

Configure OWA to require a client ssl certificate only for external connection

Hello.
At now i migrated OWA client from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 and faced with a problem.
I want to then external client (somebody like user from home PC) connect to Outlook Web App, client certificate will be required.
But then client connect (somebody from work PC) to internal Outlook Web App Url, Integrate Windows Auth will be used and client ssl certificate not required.
Is it possible? Or i need to enable Outlook Anywhere?

Base on my konwledge, I don't think it is possible.
When you install Exchange 2003, only one Default Web Site in Internet Information Services (IIS). if you change the authentication method and enable SSL on OWA, client ssl certificate always be required whether it's external or internal.

Firefox doesn't show ssl certificate form for add exception....no problem with other browser

I'm using a proxy server and when I go to gmaps (for example...but also youtube) I don't view the page to confirm the certificate (I've found a trick that consist to go on the maps, right click and press view image; after that I can see the exception ssl page but other element of the page like "satelite view" aren't visible......In other case the frame of the cerficate contained in the web pages is resized so I can't show the button to confirm the exception.

Hi dafunk, yes, only HTTPS sites are affected because Firefox only checks certificates for HTTPS sites.
The root certificate from the proxy service provider allows Firefox to trust all the fake certificates they issue, so that should be the only one your need. I don't know whether it is supposed to be pushed into Firefox automatically, but since it didn't work, importing is your next step.

ISO web wrapped app(s) for Google Mail and Calendar that have push notifications but don't download any data

Does anyone know which apps are web wrapped for allowing IMAPing to mail & calendar have push notifications but don't download data to the device?
Basically, our enterprise would like to allow users to use personal iOS devices to access mail, calendar and contacts (we're on Google Apps). However, our strict security requirements are such that we need to make sure the app isn't being "overly helpful" and saving the accessed data in a cache or pulling it down to the device in any way.
My quick test for checking if apps don't pull down data to reside on the device is to put the device in Airplane Mode. If you can see your email or calendar
entries with an app when it's in airplane mode, then it's pulling the data down or caching it in some way.
I've tested the Google Gmail app and the Google Apps Browser from G-Whizz and both fail this test since they cache the last mail and/or calendar entries accessed.
The only legit way for users to access our enterprise mail and calendar is through the browser only. However, they can't get push notifications or alerts for new emails or from their calendar. The concern and likely outcome is that users will just set up an account on the native Mail app using IMAP, either knowing and disregarding that it's a security violation or not really understanding that they're committing a security violation.
I gotta believe there's an app for that.

The living issue is complex in my case. Legally speaking, I have no personal residence globally. I just live wherever my father goes, which is everywhere. I'm an expat and it seems that these sites aren't really expat-friendly. They seem to be built for localization and assume everyone stays in the same place.
I don't know what I'd be considered. I'm a US passport holder and live in China, but I only speak some Chinese and I can't read it (it using non-latin characters is just too much for my mind's memory to handle). Besides that, I'm not interested in popular Chinese apps. They tend to just be annoying and kooky and generic and put together badly, often full adware and spyware (speaking for most Chinese software, in fact). In fact, a lot of apps I want are illegal in China (YouTube, Facebook, etc) and I use a VPN to use the services. I assume I wouldn't find these apps on the Chinese store. In fact, last I checked, there wasn't many English apps on the Chinese app store. This is probably due to their strict moderation or something.
I've been going to international schools since I got here and college would be in English too. I can speak some Chinese, but not read it.
Well, I guess the answer is that I can't use the App Store in English. So I guess I'll just sign out everything on my phone involving my Apple account and just start using third-party tools to do my business.

New SSL email settings for Apple Mail help please

I too received the Verizon email settings notification but when I turn on ssl and change the server ports for incoming and outgoing mail to the correct ports...I get a connection error... the mail server "incoming.verizon.net" is not responding. When I change back to the original settings, it connects just fine. Anybody else having issues with Apple Mail on a mobile device I.e. iPad, iPhone?

I had the same problem setting up the new ports and SSL on an ipad. Restarting the ipad did not help. Turns out that the settings app needs to be turned off before incoming will work. For those that aren't familiar, double click the home button. All active apps will appear in a row across the bottom of the display. Press and hold any active app icon until they all start dancing and have a small red circle in the upper left corner with a minus sign in it. Release and then tap the app(s) you want to close.

SSL Certificate setup for Web/Address Book/iCal in 10.7 Lion?

I know nothing about certificates. I plan to use my Mini server to help manage my family's computers which are pretty spread out across the U.S. My plan is to use profile manager for device management, host a couple websites (one secure for home security cams) and share address books and calendars. This is as much a geek gadget project as it is "useful" so I understand I may be creating some work for myself
Anyway, can someone walk me through the correct setup for certificates? My research is showing me a LOT of options/parameters. Due to the expense, i don't want to create one just to find it won't serve my purposes.
Also, I think i'm going with RapidSSL...$50 is the cheapest I've come across...hopefully the offer what I need?

I have just spent 30 minutes on the phone to a pleseant chap in Athens, and now have a solution.
We tried several options and the final one worked - so simple.
Click on the apple symbol > system preferences > iCloud > disable contact sync > keep contacts
Check search, in my case it worked for the first time in several weeks :-)
then re-enable contact sync as follows:
Click on the apple symbol > system preferences > iCloud > re-tick contacts > merge contacts
Search still works
Hallelujah!
