SSL Client Binding Error (does not support directory connections encryp....

So I'm getting the dreaded "does not support directory connections encrypted with ssl" error when attempting to bind clients (10.5) to the server (10.5).
I followed the Apple KB article, but it did not help...double-checked permissions and the config files.
Binding works fine w/o SSL...but evidently SSL does not.
Any news on this?
Thanks.

Hmmm...still running into the same issue...do I need to give the cert reference text file certain permissions in order to work?
I have followed the advice on afp548, and have a self-rolled CA with a self-assigned cert for the server, which is also the dns name of the server. I copied the CA hash and pointed to that instead of the self-signed cert hash, but still...no dice.

Am using Outlook calendar for Mac--needed for client connection. Invites will not go out. Error message: "server does not support secure connections." Resolution?

I have done a similar set of things and no results.
This is really odd, Mac Mail works other emasil clients work, just not Outlook.
The only event I can tie it back to is the outage a couple of weeks ago when AppleID's weren't working for a perdion of time.  I ended up having to reset mine.
Is it feasible a local certificate got corrupted at the same or, oddly, that the SMTP servers don't have the updated password?
What's odd is that I no matter how much i Google, i can't find anyone else who has this problem, other than here?

  • HELP - PC Suite does not support the connected pho...

After trying numerous times now I cannot get my question to you via your website. In utter frustration I am posting my problem here.
    My problem is as follows
When I connect my phone via cable to my laptop I get the following error message. 'PC Suite does not support the connected phone. Install a correct version of PC Suite and try again'. I have already uninstalled the version that previously worked fine and downloaded the version recommended by your website which is 6.80.22. This is actually the version I already had which previously did work. I amd still getting the same error message despite uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times. And when I plug my phone into my partners computer it works fine. He has the same operating system and version of PC Suite. I am using Windows XP Home Service Pack. I have a Nokia 6131

Thanks for the descriptive posting, unfortunately there are still many things that can be wrong.
You should try the things that are suggested here in many places: go to control panel - add/remove programs and select first Nokia PC Connectivity Solution and run a repair to it by selecting change - repair. Then same thing for Nokia PC Suite, run a repair to it.
    Then boot PC.
Then check the PC Suite manage connections icon to make sure that the DKU-2, CA-53 USB connection is activated.

  • PC Suite does not support the connected phone........

    Hi...
I have a big problem in the delivery of mobile and my type is N70 with Computer shows a message saying that some files missing from the mobile and this is the message that appears when connectivity.
PC Suite does not support the connected phone. PC Suite settings file is missing from the phone. Switch off your phone, switch it on, and try again.
Please assist in this matter, I can either send a site that I downloaded through by mobile phone.
    thank you very much..

  • Dg4odbc to MySQL update errors: "does not support IS NULL in this context"

I am having a problem with 'where x is null' clauses in update statements to MySQL from 11g, using dg4odbc. Updates using the clause 'where x is null' return errors like this:
ORA-02070: database PLAZAHOST does not support IS NULL in this context
The rejected queries never get to mysql. Furthermore, I noticed that select statements with 'where x is null' show up in the mysql query log with the where clause stripped out, although correct results are returned to SQLPlus. It looks as though 'where x is null' is stripped off by dg4odbc, which subsequently applies a secondary filter to the results received from MySQL.
Note, both statements above work properly when issued from the MySQL client.
Has anybody seen this? It's a big problem for me, but I can't find any references to other people having the same problem, so I assume I've got something misconfigured -- but I don't know what.
I'm using MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver, MySQL 5.1 Community Edition, and Oracle 11g R1 all running on a 32-bit Windows server.
    Thank you -- rick

is null statement is post processed. This means in case of a select ALL records from the remote database are fetched into the Oracle database and the is null statement is then processed locally in the Oracle db.
So thze select will work as it is handled internally in the Oracle database. This also means as But "is null" isn't sent to the foreign MySQL db the update clause will fail with ORA-02070: database PLAZAHOST does not support IS NULL in this context
You need to recode the statement or use passthrough statements.

    Hi,
Can you please check SAP Note 1262966 - MIGO and MIRO: Missing entries in T169P. This might be of some help to you. It states that
You use transaction SM31 to delete an entry in the views V_169P_A, V_169P_B, V_169P_DC, V_169P_IRTAX, V_169P_K, V_169P_LOGO, V_169P_MB, V_169P_PA, V_169P_PR, V_169P_S, V_169P_SA or V_169P_SV. The entry from the table T169P is deleted when you delete the entry from one of the views.
Different follow-on errors can occur in the transactions for inventory management or the Logistics Invoice Verification.
Error M7 001 "Check table 169P: entry & & & does not exist" occurs in the transactions for inventory management. The system does not propose any data for order-related items in the transactions for the Logistics Invoice Verification.
The entry in the table T169P is required for each company code for the function from Note 980420.

  • WRT1900AC does not support L2TP connection by L2TP server name

Basically - reiterating on my issue again and the question to Linksys personnel: I’m having WRT1900AC and have the issue connecting to my ISP. My ISP uses internet access authorization by ISP L2PT server name (not IP address). Linksys router configuration allows me to enter only IP address of the L2TP server, not L2TP domain server name. This is huge issue for me as I can figure out of course the IP address of the currently active L2TP ISP server but my ISP can not guarantee that in 10-15 min the server IP will be the same. I badly need the capability to use the L2TP server NAME (not IP address) in the config field of the router setup. Please let me know when this feature will be added to the new firmware for WRT1900AC and when this new firmware is going to ben released ? Thanks!

Hmm. What I know is that, Linksys WRT1900AC allows VPN tunnels using IPSec, L2TP or PPTP protocols to pass-through the router. But you can also set your router's Internet Connection Type to L2TP. Simply click on "Edit" (next to "Type of Internet Connection"). Then choose "L2TP" as your Connection Type from the drop-down menu. Make sure your settings (Server IPv4 address, Username, Password, Connection Mode, MTU) match.

  • IE11/Win 8.1 error 'Your client does not support opening this list in windows explorer'

I hoping someone might be able to help with this frustrating issue.
I work on a project where we are using various versions of on-line SharePoint (2007/O365).  In order to quickly drag and drop folders we need to often open the document libraries by using the 'open in windows explorer view'.
Using the same device, on occassion this works.  But often it gives a rather unhelpful message 'Your client does not support opening this list in Windows Explorer'.
I've searched for this issue over the net and confirm that the sites are added to the 'trusted' sites area and that the 'remember you credientials' is checked on logging in.However, the searches do not seem to apply to IE11/Win8.1 or on-line version of sharepoint
(the suggested hot fix is not suitable)
Only this morning, using the same device I was able, for a short while to open in explorer view, and then for no apparent reason, it began to display the error message.  I had changed nothing regarding settings or even closed the browser.
Do you have any support/ideas/fixes on how to resolve this.
    Many thanks
    val

    Hi Val,
sometimes an answer can be found on the internet by typing the error message from your computer into your favourite search engine.
    eg.
    http://www.bing.com/search?q=your+client+does+not+support+opening+this+list+in+windows+explorer&form=IE10TR&src=IE10TR&pc=HPNTDFJS
    see
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/asiasupp/archive/2011/06/13/error-message-quot-your-client-does-not-support-opening-this-list-with-windows-explorer-quot-when-you-try-to-quot-open-with-explorer-quot-on-a-sharepoint-document-library-in-office-365-site.aspx
follow the directions given above.... you need to add the domains to your Intranet sites list, not the Trusted sites list.
Perhaps you already have it mapped to your intranet zone....in which case make sure that you have unchecked "Enable Enhance Protected Mode" on the Intranet  zone dialog in Internet Options.
If this is happening 'randomly' on client machines, then users are probably changing their internet security settings in Internet Options. Ensure they are accepting the default.... Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default".
Consult with your system administrators to find out if they are applying a custom security template for the Intranet zone... It may be removing the sharepoint domains from the client Intranet zone's domains lists.
    HTH.

  • Trying to open a sharepoint library in Windows Explorer via IE 8 results in the error "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer"

I am attempting to connect to a Microsoft Sharepoint library, via the "Actions -> Open in Windows Explorer" option from the Sharepoint page.  When I do so, I get the error message "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer".  In short, I am trying to get the "drag and drop" functionality of a Sharepoint library.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit and IE8.  The target Sharepoint environment is a MOSS 2007 EE.  My Windows "WebClient" service is running, and I have no problem connecting to this exact library via a Windows XP computer running IE8.

Verify that the Webclient is started automatically from the Services.msc
Verify that your Portal is in the Intranet local security zone (You can reach it from Your Internet Explorer Browser Security Tag) if not add it to the list
restart the WebClient service if it's work good
If not you have to create a network share to your portal URL directly not your documents library.
Open Windows Explorer or My Computer from the Windows Start Menu.
From the Tools menu, click Map Network Drive…. A new Map Network Drive window opens.
In the Map Network Drive window, choose an available drive letter from the dropdown list located next to the "Drive:" option. Any drives already mapped will have a shared folder name displayed inside the dropdown list, next to the drive letter.
Type the name of the folder to map wich is in this case your SharePoint Portal URL (Don't include the documents libraries)
Click the "Reconnect at login" checkbox if this network drive should be mapped permanently. Otherwise, this drive will un-map when the user logs out of this computer.
If the remote computer that contains the shared folder requires a different username and password to log in, click the "different user name" hyperlink to enter this information.
    Click Finish.
I am looking for a suite method :)

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer” error.
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
In addition, you can also try to enable Basic authentication on the client computer, by setting the BasicAuthLevel registry entry of the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters

Fatal error: Client does not support authentication protocol
requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in
    /homepages/28/d74942468/htdocs/cosmic/sites/onlinemove/Connections/db.php
    on line 9
This is the error that comes up on the server where the site
sits. The database is working on my local machine with the local
settings, but wont connect due to the above.
I think im using MySQL client 3.23 How do i upgrade?
I found this on MySQL site:
    http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/old-client.html
I'm not sure how to edit the connection string to make it
    accept the vaules.

The MySQL client that the error refers to isn't the version
    of MySQL,
but the MySQL library bundled with PHP. It sounds as though
    your hosting
company has upgraded to MySQL 4.1 or higher, but is still
    using PHP 4.

You can't. It's the way that the user account passwords are
    stored in
MySQL. You need to get the hosting company to upgrade to PHP
    5 or to
reset the passwords in MySQL using the OLD_PASSWORD()
    function. This
needs to be done by someone with top-level administrative
    privileges on
    the database.
