SSL_CLIENT_S_DN not being set if the user has "Use TLS 1.1" or "Use TLS 1.2" checked in Internet Explorer Advanced Settings.
We are using mod_ossl, are there any updates to this module that would fix the above?

Appears that the latest release of OpenSSL supports TLS 1.2, any changes there will be an update to mod_ossl?
Seems to be happening more and more that users have all Internet Explorer TLS settings checked and run into a problem getting to the Application Express site unless I tell them to only have TLS 1.0 checked.

Judging from the number of tracks that iTunes 11 tells me it's played, versus last.fm's scrobbles over the last two days, iTunes is actually updating the play date/time and count about twenty percent of the time. I haven't been systematic about testing under what conditions it does and doesn't update, but:
Some tracks from an album will be updated and not others.
Once a track has failed to update once, it seems likely to fail again (some tracks have had five or six plays unrecorded by iTunes).
Curiously, if you look at the play history in the Next Up drop menu, all the played tracks appear, updated or not.
My fabulously intricate architecture of smart-playlisted-out-the-wazoo filters all goes awry, if the play data isn't properly updated.

Prestaged OSD using SCCM 2012 SP1 windows Partition variable is not being set

Hello All I need some assistance with a workaround.
I am using a presaged task sequence created from a working network / PXE deployment TS for windows 7.
This TS sets a variable for the OS partition called "Windows" and the value is set in the Partition Disk task.
Problem is this value is not being read from a prestaged due to the OEMMedia condition skipping this partition and format task.
Question is how do I get it to read and or set the value for that partition?
From what I have found on Google this was an issue in beta of MDT but was fixed in RTM. I am not using MDT TS but I do have it installed. Any idea if this is a known issue with SCCM 2012 sp1 TS?
Edit: also noticed that the variable's case is different and will not let me change it.
Variable under format is "windows" variable under Apply OS is "Windows" when I change them to be the same then close and reopen they revert back to the above. Are these variables case sensitive?
Edit: for now I have changed it from variable to next available partition. I tested it twice so far it seems to be using the correct partition and it remains to be called the C drive. For now this will be my solution.

When you say "presaged task sequence created from a working network / PXE deployment TS" are you saying this is still a network boot process? Or have you done "Create Task Sequence Media"?

BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 & Confirmed Qty NOT being set

Good day!
Creating orders via BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2. Orders are being created successfully. However, CONFIRMED QTY is set to 0, and NOT triggering.
The following settings have been confirmed.
- Majority of all communication field settings are set to "X" at Header, Item, schedule, and condition.
- All itm_number are set accordingly to respective posnr
- All updateflag are set accordingly
- Set comp_dlv and part_dlv to ' '.
From a functional perspective, what configurations HAVE to be completed to ensure Deliveries are triggered via respective BAPI? I understand, availability check is performed in background so screens cannot be performed--thus, no partial or full delivery can be filled.
Any pointers will be appreciative. Thanks in advance.

I seem to remember having that issue before. I believe the fix in that particular case was that the storage location was not specified in the BAPI call for items that were ATP-relevant. Of course, if your ATP check is at the shipping point level, if you don't specify the shipping point, you won't get a confirmation either. As usual, I believe I tracked it down with the good old debugger.

RV042 - Time is not being set automatically using NTP

I have 4 RV042 routers with the latest 1.3.12.19-tm firmware. I cannot get the router to set its time automatically. On the Setup->Time page I have a bullet next to "Set the local time using .. (NTP) automatically". Time Zone is set to GMT-05:00 (Eastern). I do have a checkmark next to Daylight Saving and have defined the from and to date range. The default factory setting has "Set using NTP automatically" and a blank value for NTP Server. The docs do not state if you have to type in your own NTP server. Since the date was showing as 2002, I assumed it did not like a blank NTP server. So, why do they make that the default? And, if a value is required, why not warn the user when you click on Save Setting button?
Assuming it needed a value entered for NTP Server, I typed in 2.pool.ntp.org - which works just fine on my Windows 2003 server. Yet the time still remains stuck in 2002...
I also wondered whether NTP queries should appear in the system log (or on my SYSLOG server). So far I do not see any hint of an NTP query occurring.
Any ideas?

Since my initial post I have done a lot more testing and searching and have found:
1. I can get the RV042 to sync its time properly if I run Dillobits Software's SNTP Service application on my laptop and point the RV042 to use that as the time reference - works perfectly every time.
2. It does not matter if my laptop (running SNTP Service) is on a WAN port or the LAN port - so long as the RV042 has the IP address of the laptop it will find the time service (I had a thought the problem may have been the RV042 was expecting to find the time service on a WAN port, not internally on the network)
3. I have checked and double checked all the registry settings on the W2k3 Server and I'm abolutely confident they are correctly set for it to provide a reliable NTP time service
4. I have found quite a number of posts on various forums regarding people having problems getting Cisco products to sync time with W2k3 Server. From memory, these were all Cisco products running IOS and (also from memory) the ones I read were all resvolved, usually by tidying up some settings in one or the other of the products. I have not found any solution for Linksys products and W2k3 Server.
5. At least a couple of people have had their problem resolved by changing the value of the Windows Time Service registry key LocalClockDispersion to 0. I have tried this, along with using other values small and large but without success.
6. SNTP and NTP packets are identical - the difference between the two protocols being how much work the application using the time information does to process the data (eg: the amount and complexity of statistical processing done to determine the time accurately and the method of adjusting the clock)
The conclusion I have come to is that while the RV042 should happily sync to the W2k3 Server, there is something within the time packet sent by the W2k3 Server time service that the RV042 objects to (ie: it doesn't consider it to be a reliable time source or something) and therefore rejects it.
With that, I have exhausted every path I have found that may offer a solution so unless someone else can get to the bottom of this I will purchase Dillobits Software's SNTP Service and run that on the W2k3 Server.

Password for oc4jadmin is not being set for silent install.

Application Server 10.1.3 for Windows
I have recorded a silent install response file. I have added the following line in order to set the password of the oc4jadmin account, but it does not appear to work because I get an invalid username/password when loggin in to the App Server console.
oracle.iappserver.instance:szl_InstanceInformation={ "cm1" , "hello123" , "hello123" }
This line worked fine in version 10.1.2.
Any clues on what could be going wrong?

Parameter 1 not being set

I'm trying to delete a row from a data table and although I'm using a simple piece of code which works elsewhere I'm getting a parameter1 not set error. The problem is with cursorFirst() but I haven't got an idea why...

I will answer for someone looking for this answer. Actually I'm working on a search page. If you want to use CachedRowSetDataProvider for your searching page, using a parametric query on a Session Bean, then you have to add some code to the page where you have your table (or working on), defining some values in order to avoid this error. In other words, setting the parameter values at the beginning.
In my case, I'm searching over a patient's table using 3 parameters.

Parameter not being set in before parameter form trigger

I am running 10g reports over the web and have a problem with some parameters. I have a User parameter which I set in the BEFORE-PARAMETER-FORM trigger. This parameter is not displayed on the parameter form because it shouldn't ever be changed by a user. It is supposed to be displayed on the report output to show who ran the report, but it is appearing blank.
I've found that if I physically display the parameter on the parameter form it works, but this isn't a realistic option. It looks like it gets cleared out if it isnt displayed on the parameter form. Can anyone explain why and offer any help?

IP address not being set using Win XP Pro with Airport Extreme

Hi,
I'd appreciate any information on this subject. I got a new Airport Extreme on Friday to replace my DLink G router. Basically is blew up. So I've got it set up and my Vista laptop is running just fine. However, my work laptop which is a Win XP Pro machine can not aquire a network address. It continually says "Aquiring Network Address" and then times out and disconnects. After a lot of looking around and checking out blogs I took a look and it seems that I cannot get an IP address. When ipconfig in cmd it shows not IP address and subnet, etc as 0.0.0.0. OKay, so I try to reboot, I've also tried release renew and still no go. I can connect with a cable to the Airport and receive an IP immediately and obviously I can get directly on the cable modem I am using with Rogers with no issue. So can anyone tell me why over the air I can't get an IP? Did I set something up with this XP Pro machine that doesn't seem to have a problem with Vista?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...I haven't been wired and years, slightly unsettling!

Okay I got it. I couldn't get an IP address and so I found another discussion. One person said to do this:
The "Limited or No Connectivity" indication is because the network adapter has failed to get its IP address by DHCP from the router and Windows has defaulted to allocating a "169.254" IP address.
Try repairing the TCP/IP stack and Winsock. Open a Command Prompt window ("Start > Run", type cmd and click OK).
To repair the TCP/IP stack, at the prompt, type...
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
...and press Enter
(note the spaces in the command line). The original prompt will reappear.
To reset Winsock entries, at the prompt, type...
netsh winsock reset catalog
...and press Enter
Exit the Command Prompt window and reboot the PC.
Well that did it! Off I go!

File permissions not being set to files in shared volumes

I have recently taken over responsibility a small OS 10.5.6 server and several clients. Workstation users log in via user accounts on the server, which also has several shared storages spaces.
I have recently reinstalled the OS on several of the workstations. They are up to date (10.5.6) and added the directory server using the "Directory Utility".
My users are able to login and operate using their accounts on the server. However when a file is created on one of these rebuilt workstations, and placed into a common share, they retain the users permissions instead of assuming the group permissions.
I hope I have stated my problem clearly, thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'm having the exact same problem :-/ I've just setup a dual G5 as a server in standard mode, and I've added user permissions (ACL's) as described in the manual via Server Admin App.
But still when I transfer e.i. a folder containing a bunch of files from my client-Mac to the server HD, it retains ownership and permissions, instead of taking over the permissions set with the ACL.
This is truely frustrating :-((( I've read the f**** manual, and I think I've done exactly what it says.
Can anybody help?

I have setup an Exchange 2013 CU6 environment which contains the following:
1 machine with client access role
3 machine with mailbox role
1 machine with both client access and mailbox server role.
When I run the Test-EcpConnectivity against the machine which has both roles I get the following:
WARNING: The test couldn't test the internal URL of this virtual directory, because the InternalURL property isn't set.
But when I run "Get-EcpVirtualDirectory|fl" against the same machine, it shows that internal url property is set.
Why is this happening and how can it be solved?

Get-ServerHealth cmdlet to monitor server state.

Parameter field default values not being set in BO Infoview

For a report, I have three numeric input parameter fields with a default value of -1. When the report is processed in the Crystal Reports development environment, the parameter fields are all displayed with the default values.
When copied and then processed in BO Infoview, the three parameters come up with a value of "Empty". In order for the report to process correctly, these "Empty" fields need to be individually called, a numeric value entered and then the report "Scheduled". Does anyone know of any way to force or get Infoview to use the pre-defined default values of these fields when running with Infoview?

In the CMC, you have to config the report object's parameter.

Sy-batch is not getting set in background?

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario in which we are processing Inbound Idocs via standard FM to create EDI orders from the inbound Idoc data.
We have a requirement in which we implemented enhancement for a Popup screen for user to select a particular material from the list of materials shown on the screen. While background instead of popup we are determining the record progmatically vai customer exit(Function module exit).
The logic for foreground & background is perfectly fine but the problem is SY-BATCH value is not being set to "X" in background. So our background logic does not come into picture & IDOC fails in background.
Just to analyze this issue , I have tried to store value of sy-batch in some variable & then put an infinite loop to check in background debugging(VIA SM50) whether that variable contains an "X" or not, That variable was not set to "X".
Can anybody tell me is there any other way by which we can programatically distinguish whether something is running in foreground or in background?

Also test the field sy-binpt ( Batch input ) which is set when a call transaction is made in the program. Usually the IDoc processing functions do a call transaction.
Also at times the IDoc processing function sets a variable and exports it to the memory so you migh want to check for "export" statements in the IDoc processing function as well and import it in your program and test that imported variable.

Thank you for your reply. I realy have nothing else to sync - no music. Emails do work so its just my contacts I am concerned about. I'm kinda new at this but have a working understanding of the system.
I have an icloud account but the Geek Squad went there and tried but could not export contacts. I truly am not that good re icloud. They worked exclusively with my itunes, re-downloading, etc - all of the stuff in their book.
I have not tried a complete restore because I am not sure I am that good with the equipment but could. I did all of the stuff on the help page - sync reset, forced one-way sync etc but the phone just does not seem to recognize the sync. I have not gone to an Apple store to have them have a look - that may be my next step to hook up to another itunes computer. It seems simple to me - it was working fine until maybe 3 months ago - probably when there was an update. Its telling to me that the phone does not tell me there is a sync in process while itunes is saying there is - its just not biting between the 2.
I appreciate any hep - and I said, I not stupidi about these things but have kind of reached as far as I am comfortable with fear of doing something really wrong.
