SSL Error when connecting to the mail server
Hi,
i started having a wiered SSL error for some of my users on the mail servers when they connect using their mac machines to the mail server telling its the wrong username and password, but the same username and password works from the hand held devices including ipads and iphones. I checked the syslog and the maillog which is showing no errors regarding this. Althou i started getting this error com.apple.launchd[1] (org.dovecot.fts.update): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 second for the past 1 week. i am using 10.9.1 Maverics. I can provide all the logs of the server if needed.
Make sure you are using right security protocol, for IMAP you need to enable TLS/SSL. Go to email settings> Incoming mail > Security.

Error when connecting to IMAP mail server - untrus...
I am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware.
I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails.
When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP).
Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.Make sure you are using right security protocol, for IMAP you need to enable TLS/SSL. I set up mac mini and when I test the mail server by sending a mail from administrator to administrator I get the error message 'Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused'. Can any one suggest a solution
Thanks. Where could I possibly look for a firewall rule. I knowingly did not creat any. My system has internet coming to a Modem which then is connected to a wireless router. I have computers connecting to the router through cable as well as wireless. One of these computers has been our mailserver using Mercury and Pegasus and that computer has a static IP address. The Mac Mini also has been assigned a different srtatic IP address. I have only set up user account, none of them an email account as I initially expect them to receive only internal mails. Is it necessary that I must set up an email id for each user while setting up the user account. My server id is server.local. So would the email id for local users be [email protected]?

MacBook Pro, late 2011 version. Up to date Mountain Lion.
My email account in the Mail.app is set up as IMAP, but when I delete emails in the Mac Mail App, they are not deleted from the mail clients of the other devices that are connected to the mail server with IMAP. IMAP works perfectly between Windows Outlook 2010, iPad Mail App and Android default mail client. Deleted messages behave correctly, as in delete from one device and the mail is deleted from all devices.
Having just tested in reverse order on the Mac; emails deleted from the email client on Windows, iPad and Android are not deleted in the Mac Mail App. It appears that the account is behaving like POP rather than IMAP.
Any advice on how to have IMAP work correctly on the MacBook Pro Mail.app?
Thank you.Hi Csound1, thanks. The email host is 1and1.co.uk, however, i am going to fess up and make myself look like a plonker now -
the email account in question was set up in Outlook as POP - stupid, stupid, stupid me, wasted an afternoon on this! I have now changed the Outlook account to IMAP and Mail.app works perfectly - and looks much nicer than Outlook did. Im in the middle of converting from Windows to a Mac, and still finding my way around the Mac
The lesson learned, never assume - always double check! All my other email addresses with 1and1 are all imap, except this one, and it happened to be the first one I set up in the Mail.app. (bows head in disgrace!)
Thank you anyway for attempting to help me!
Cheers -
When the system status says icloud is OK but logon reports "encountered an error when connecting to the server", where do you report the problem, or how do you connect?
Yes i am hoping staff here will look into things, even if i can not get the speeds back what i previously had for near 6 months it would be nice to know why i can not and why the download has dropped by around 10Mb and why my upload is now inconsistant.
Ironically the post concerned got edited because i actually posted the full rather silly reply the Indian call centre made babbling on about down rates rather than the uprate i queried with them.
Bit of a shambles really no real way on BTs web site to contact anyone with regards to broadband issues.
The form which you kindly suggested and i appreciated your help ended up in the hands of someone who either did not bother to read the query or just had such a poor grasp of English they did not understand the query.
Pretty pathetic really when BT are the largest telco in the UK. I think ill be taking my broadband business elsewhere regardless at the end of my 18 month contract, while im sure staff here are wonderful and may even yet help me, i do not particularly want to go through the almost like pulling teeth pain of getting any future issue looked at.
They are great at quickly fixing voice line problems and have a great test on their site. Broadband side of things and support for that though seems a shambles. -

BeataHi Beata,
The CRM scenario is working again. We had to re install the Connector and deploy a new proxy app.
Therefore you would need to download the code from the GitHub repository again. The changes you need to do on your side:
1. Redeploy the new crm__public destination file - the updated destination now points to the new location of the proxy application
2. Update the code of the registration form scripts (form.js and form.spec.xml).

HT1277 Multiple accounts on same domain in Apple Mail blocks connection to the mail server.
I am trying to run two separate mail accounts on my Mac in Apple Mail, both using the same domain name. I don't want to use aliases because one is a personal mail account and the other is a helpdesk one, with different signatures. I also want to keep emails for those accounts separate.
I can get the first account working fine. When I add the second account, Apple Mail tells me it can't connect to the mail server for either account. As soon as I remove the second account, the first account starts working again.
Anyone know why this might be?
The mail server is Postfix running on a Linux server. My Mac is running OS X Lion v10.7.5.
The mail accounts are IMAP - I also access them from my iPhone 3GS (iOS 6). Again, I can get the first one working from the iPhone, but as soon as I add the second one it falls over.If the email service you were trying to connect to was an icloud email account, then the outgoing server can't possibly be right (yahoo.com???). If it's to yahoo, then the "apple.smtp.mail" part certainly looks suspicious. Are you sure the server address wasn't changed at some point?
So the first question for you is.. which email service were you trying to use? Yahoo or icloud (or something else)? -

BPC 75M - Modify Application error "Cannot connect to the Reporting Server"
I have trouble with Modify Application, also in ApShell. Maybe you have a clue what it can be the problem.
Configuration: single server BPC 7.5M SP3, Windows Server 2008 SP2, SQL Server 2008 SP2
Installation user is a domain user.
No errors during installation, no error in Server Manager diagnostics.
But when I try to modify an Application from BPC Admin it gives an error for step "Make OLAP database and Journal/Audit reports. / Validate dimension formulas.".
In tblLogs I see the error message:

Edited by: Alexandru Berindei on Oct 26, 2010 7:58 PMThere were problems accessing the web page HTTP://server/reports
Error message: "Reporting services 2008 user does not have required permissions"
It was possible to open the page HTTP://server/reports with local administrator user and I fixed this problem by performin following:
- add Content Manager right to bpc installation user
- disable UAC from Windows Control Panel > User Accounts
Still Modify Application gives the same "Cannot connect to Reporting Services".
I tried:
- check that BPC Installation User is part of Local Administrators
- reboot server
- reinstall BPC after disabling UAC
- reinstall everything except the Windows Server 2008
- I installed another computer with the same exact configuration but with a local BPC Installation User and it works.
Have anyone installed BPC 7.5M SP3 on single Windows Server 2008 SP2 , with SQL Server 2008 SP2 and with BPC Installation user a domain user?
Maybe you have an idea of what I should check next.
Thank you,

I am trying to access my icloud email via a public library and I keep receiving an error message that icloud is experiencing a problem connecting to the server. Please assist.
How are you trying, using a web browser?

I have update my primary server with cu2. Rebooted it when requested. Now everything appears to work except Application Catalog. I am getting HttpSendRequestSync failed errors in sms_awebsvc_control_manager and SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER. Permissions
for the temp folder and the 2 service folders do have local service and system with full control. I reregistered .net 4 with aspnet_regiis -i -enable. Rebooted and no change. application pool is running. The install logs said it is
working. SQL is happy. I have reinstalled the two Application Catalog service points varous ways and they always come back with warm fuzzy logs stated they installed.
When someone tries to use Application Catalog the ServicePortalWebSite.log always produces the following errors:

SSL Error When Connecting to /sso/auth
I am attempting to configure SSO for HTTPS. This is for a Forms application.
I have followed the steps in the Single Sign-On 10.1.2 Admin's Guide Chapter 7 for enabling SSL, as well as the steps for enabling Forms with SSL.
Forms works correctly in SSL without SSO enabled.
I am using Oracle wallets created with OCA. These wallets work correctly, without any errors or warnings.
I am able to login in to the SSO Server with SSL enabled.
When I enable SSL and SSO and attempt to connect to my Forms app, I am correctly redirected to the Single Sign-On page via HTTPS.
However, when I enter a valid username and password, I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error. The URL is https://server.domain/sso/auth
I reviewed the HTTP error log for the SSL virtual host on the infrastructure and found the following error:
[Mon Dec 04 15:30:53 2006] [error] mod_ossl: SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 28864 (server server.domain:4443,
client 192.168.1.1)
[New Entry] [Mon Dec 04 15:30:53 2006] [error] mod_ossl: SSL IO error [Hint: the client stop the connection unexpectedly]
The ssl_request log contains the following errors:

Any help most appreciated.
TIA,
JimI had the same problem. In my case, Forms with SSO over SSL worked from the intranet, but not from the internet over the firewall. In the FW log, I found requests from my browser to the iAS at port 7778, on which runs the middle tier iAS, but that is blocked by the FW (we use WebCache at port 80 as a proxy).
Last time the ssoreg from the middle tier ran with -mod_osso_url http://<server_name>:7778, as indicated by the ssoreg.log. I reregistered the middle tier by means of ssoreg with -mod_osso_url http://<server_name>:80, restartet the http server from the middle tier, it corrected the error. -
Error when connecting to the RDSH with WebApps
I have a Server with RDGW, RDCB, RDWA. Then I have an other Server with RDSH installed. I published some Apps from the RDSH. When I logon now, I can see the WebApps on the Website.
If I start a WebApp, I get the connection Information:
Publisher: RDGW
Type: RemoteApp-Programm
Path: Calc
Name: Calculator
Remote Computer: RDSH name (is unknown for the client, But the RDGW knows this server from DNS)
Gatewayserver: RDGW
Then I get an Error:
Disconnected Remote App
All Certificates are trusted (I don't get any certificate error message).
---------------- 10.48.40.36 ------------------------------ 10.253.24.101 ----------
|Windows 7 |-----------------------| RDWA / RDGW /RDCB |------------------------| RDSH |
---------------- 10.57.27.42 ----------------------------- 10.253.24.100 ----------
The Network Adapter 10.253.24.100 is shared, so this can be accessed from the other adapter.Yes. It's a public trusted CA. I have no Certificates warnings.
If I connect to the "internal" Address (10.253.24.100) then it works perfectly.
I shared the internal interface. But it seems, that I have to enable somthing else. How can I get more detailed logs? -

ThanksHi,
You can write it inside your ManagedServers Start Script or even you can write it in your "setDomainEnv.sh"(if u are in UNIX OS) or in "setDomainEnv.cmd (if it is WINDOWS)"as described in the below Image:
http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/setting_JAVA_JOME_In_script.jpg
The Only difference will be....in the JAVA_OPTION as below:
Unix OS case below
*JAVA_OPTIONS=${JAVA_OPTIONS} -Dhttp.proxyHost=YourProxyHostName -Dhttp.proxyPort=yourProxyPort*
Windows OS Case below
set JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS% -Dhttp.proxyHost=YourProxyHostName -Dhttp.proxyPort=yourProxyPort
