SSL Portal Wallet configuration

I'm trying to setup my application server using SSL, it all configured and works fine, the problems comes when I try to change the SSLwallet file path, if I change this path in ssl.conf the forms service works fine, it detects the certificate without problems, but if I try to access portal, I get a No resonse from Application Web Server after the SSO page, if I go back to the original path for the SSLwallert everything works fine except I get no certificate. I believe I'm missing something in the configuration in order for this to work. Could somebody point me into the right direction?

I worked this out by replacing all the wallet files in the oraclehome the wallet containing the certificate,
but now I come to another issue. When I set up SSO for Forms after the login page I get redirected to the SSO url (ex. http:\\myinfrasite:4443) and the problem is that this url doesn't have the S in the httpS, if I make the login through portal I get no such problem. I guess that I have a missconfiguration for the URL that forms uses in SSO, but i cant find that url anywhere

You can also configure portal connection manually. Please check the Configuration Guide in SAP Solution Manager or offline downloaded configuration guide in http://service.sap.com/srm-inst SAP SRM Server 7.0 -> Configuration Guide for SAP SRM 7.0 -> Business Package for SAP SRM 7.0.
You can also access SRM via NWBC html in current SRM 7.0 SP06 without Portal. It is called Portal-Independent Navigation Frame.

Javascript error throws the portal theme configuration page

General Description: Javascript error and jump to the portal theme
configuration page

We have a problem when we entry to the portal, a javascript
error happens and immediately jumps to the portal theme configuration
page. We entry at the portal with a user that have assigned the next groups.

When we entry with this user, the browser show us this javascript error:

We need that the user see the page assigned, but this error shows him
always the portal theme configuration page. This kind of error happens with

for this situation, doing click on the first level navigation, the
LR_MX_PAG_Edicion page shows normally.

Regarding the plugin, Nop.. There are no that much available plug-ins.
So you have to other options:
1- Smart tunnel ( You do not need to have administrative rights over the remote system, you only need to have the application locally installed)
2- Port-forwarding ( You do need to have administrative rights over the remote system and have the application locally installed)
If those does not fit your expectations I will go for a tunnel all vpn ( Anyconnect or Ipsec remote access)

SSL Portal for IMAP, POP3, SMTP?

is it possible to offer with an UAG SSL Portal a preauthentication for IMAP, POP3 and SMTP?
If yes, any How to's out there?
Edit: I know that TMG is able to offer that but is there preauthentication used?

No, UAG does not support (as in does not work) any other ports than 80 and 443.

SSL: Portal and Third-Party-Tool

Hello everybody,
I need an advice how to solve the following problem: We integrated a Third-Party-WebTool with the Application Integrator. If we lauch the portal and the special iView with HTTP everything works fine but with HTTPS we get an error message: "Session Management will not work! Please check DSM log files for details. You can turn off this alert inside 'Support Desk' -> 'SAP Application'"
Do I need those logs? Because if I understood the message correctly this deals only with SAP Applications. What about Third-Party-Tools with own SSL certificates? How solve the problem described above? Do I need to import the certificate of my Third-Party-Tool into my portal keystorage? Do I need to configure anything else?

Web Dispatcher - SSL - Portal

Hi,
I have configured Web Dispatcher for SSL Termination to the portal. When I go to my https://... Web Dispatcher address, the portal comes up but the address in the browser changes to http://....
What could the problem be? Why is the Web Dispatcher terminating the SSL between it & the browser? There's nothing in the trace file that indicates a problem.

                      In the profile file of web dispatcher which is " sapwebdisp.pfl " located in the sapwebdisp directory, please check if the following parameter exists. This parameter describes how the inbound connections are handled by web dispatcher.
wdisp/ssl_encrypt
the possible values for this parameter are < 0, 1, 2 >
wdisp/ssl_encrypt = 0 ( this means the SSL is terminated when sending to the
                                   back end server )
wdisp/ssl_encrypt = 1 ( the SSL is terminated and then SSL encrypted again by
                                   webdispatcher )
wdisp/ssl_encrypt = 2 ( the SSL is not terminated and request is sent encrypted
                                     to the back end )
The default value of this parameter is " 0 " . So, set it as appropriate to solve your purpose. Please refer to the following link to find more explanation about each of the profile parameters of the web dispatcher.

Portal Gateway configuration for Proxy functionality

Hi All,
Are there any customers out there configuring their Portal Gateway to go through
a Proxy server and then have the proxy server pass requests to the Portal server?
Or do you recommend configuring the Portal Gateway to go through the Portal server(via the gateway proxy add-on)?
Does anyone have pros or cons for the 2 scenarios?

The proxy add ons with the portal server have both http and netlet proxy deamons, if your using netlet then the recommendation would be to use the netlet proxy for netlets and httpd proxy for http traffic.
If your not using netlets then you can put in a proxy server between the gateway and server. I have seen different customers use either of the two for security and varying reasons specific to their environment.
The httpd and netlet proxies are primarily used when there is a requirement to clamp down the number of open between the gateway and the server. Generally there would be a firewall between the gateway and server and for security reasons you don't want to open a lot of ports, so in that context with the gateway and netlet proxies you only open two ports in addition to profile server port and 443 if your running gateway on ssl.

   Right now I have some file to file (FTP_XI_FTP)scenarios that are working fine. With SP14 we got a option to use FTPS(FTP over SSL).
1. Can any one tell me the exact steps we need to follow to use FTPS?
2. What is the config we need to do in RZ10.
3. What is the confing we need to do in the Visual admin?
4. What are all the steps we need to do with the ftp server.
4. How to test the configuration.
   1. We are on sp14/XI3.0/kernal640/Solaris/oracle
   2. Installed SAP Cryptographic Software.
   3. Right now i could be able to connect to FTP server at a secure port 32, using PUTTY software.

You have to follow the step
1. Define the system in Portal which will connect backend ECC.
2. You have to create iview ,Page, worksets and roles
3. Roles need to assign into User.
I am just breafing the things .. Please specify your requirement and at which stage you are in.

Missing beans for BI/Portal integration configuration

I've configured BI/Portal configuration but when executing the tests or when using BEX I have an errors:
com.sap.engine.services.rfcengine.RFCException: Bean RSWR_TEMPLATE_PROCESS_PROXY not found
Caused by: .jndi.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of RSWR_TEMPLATE_PROCESS_PROXY.
same error for other RSWR beans (RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST etc.).
It seems I am missing some component(s), in my installation (the SSO, auth, etc seems configured correctly according the configuration guides).
Does anybody knows what component I should re-deploy in order to have missing beans? Any other possibility to fix this error?

Creating SSL certificate and configuring it with JBOSS 4.0.1

I have to post some data to a secured site from my application.
For this, I am creating connection to that site using URLConnection and to send data I create OutputStream using the connection.
But, while creating the stream it is showing SSLException and message is No trusted certificate found.
For this, I need to create SSL certificate (mostly using keytool command) and configure it with my application server which is JBOSS 4.0.1
Now, my problem is that I don't know the exact steps to create a certificate and configure it with JBOSS. Please provide the steps in detail.

I think you have this back to front. Unless this exception came from the server, in which case it is misconfigured, you don't have to create a certificate, you have to import the server's certificate, or that of one of its signers, into the client's truststore, and tell Java where the truststore is if it's in a non-standard location.

SSL/DIGITAL SIGNATURE Configuration problems

We are facing problems while configuring SSL for Digital signature. We are following the stpes given in ADS Configuration document. Documents present in help.sap.com do not give a clear picture of the various steps involved in authentication using digital signature. We require help with all the steps involved. To provide brief background, we have ABAP and JAVA engines on seperate servers and we were able to configure ADS successfully using basic authentication method as described in ADS config document. Now for Digital signature. we need to configure SSL, while doing so we are facing problems. We went through a lot of blogs and sdn links and numerous documents in SDN but still the problem remains. Please help us.

When we execute the standard transaction for form 16 , three pdf forms are copied to the given location, they are
Annex , form12BA and form16
Only file Annex contains data, the other two files are of 0 bytes. And also the file containing the data doesn't contain digital signature.
We have gone through all the configuration check given in the ADS configuration document and all are given the correct output.
Also we have installed the credential file.
Please guide us.

Federated Portal Network configuration

Hi,
I just started configuring two test portal systems for federation. When I create a producer object in the consumer portal under system administration-->Federated Portal and then test it gives the following message.
"Producer Connection
Test Details:
Checks if a producer object exists for the producer
Opens a connection to the handshake URL and receives the WSDL file
Parses the WSDL file and extracts the different port URLs
Results
Producer object was found
Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid "
In the "View My Producers" iview under System administration--->Federated Portal I tested the Producer URL and I can see the WSDL file so it seems like the URL is ok.
But I do see warnings regarding SLD connection not working which I find not relevant and the following seems relevant though.
"Cannot get input and output streams from socket. ConnectionsManipulator is not initialized."
Any thoughts?
