SSL "SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number" error using Mail

I have set up an SSL proxy and I am trying to send a message through it to my mail server.
The proxy's log shows a "SSL3GETRECORD:wrong version number" error whenever Mail tries to send a SSL message.
I have been told that this error means that the proxy's certificate is using SSL3 but Mail is using a different version of SSL.
Does anyone know what version of SSL Mail uses, or how to change it to use version 3?

That's peculiar. Sounds like you're experiencing issues communicating over SSL somewhere.
Can you share some details with me? Feel free to ping me at andrl {at} microsoft.com
Some things that'll help troubleshoot:
- When and where are you seeing the error? Please provide a stack trace if you have one.
- Is your host behind a proxy that has https disabled? Is this running on Azure or somewhere else?
- What version of openssl, node.js, and documentdb client are you running?
* To find the version of openssl - run "openssl version" in a terminal.
* To find the version of node.js - run "node -v" in a terminal.
* To find the version of documentdb client - look inside the package.json for your project.

AppManifest.xml is being generated with the wrong version number

I am having a interesting problem which is preventing me from submitting an update to my app to the Windows Phone Store. I have done this 100 times and something is wrong with visual studio building the .xap file. Steps I am taking:
Update all version references in project settings and appmanifestWM to 1.4.0.0
Build Release version
Copy .xap from /bin/release
Upload as an app update to windows phone dev site
What happens is that the current version of the app (1.3.1.0) is still listed as the version of the app that the submission page is parsing out of the version (1.4.0.0) .xap file. I unzipped the xap file and looked at the appmanifest files and found that
the AppManifest.xaml has the correct version number but the AppManifest.xml still has version 1.3.1.0. If anyone could help me resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I believe it is a bug with my solution because I have now tried all of these steps on two computers and uploaded using two different browsers and I still get a AppManifest.xml file that has version 1.3.1.0. I will copy and paste the

As you can see the package version being generated is wrong. Can you explain where exactly in the solution that value is taken from? I thought it was from WMAppManifest but I could be wrong.
Edit: In looking at the code above and then rereading what I wrote I realized my blaring error. I completely forgot that Silverlight 8.1 apps have an appxmanifest as well and that data is drawn from that as well as WMAppManifest. I never updated the version
in that appxmanifest. Thank you for the help and I apologize for my stupidity.

Bad major version number error

I'm trying to run the HelloWorld program in Linux. I can compile ("javac HelloWorld.java"), but when I try to run the program, using "java HelloWorld", i got the following error message:

Any idea of what's wrong?

well, i found the problem. i had installed an old java version and forgot to delete it. i was using jdk 1.1 and i didn't notice it. just deleted the old version and everything went fine. thanks, m_srini ! :-)

It shows that patch 3 is installed, but as you point out, the version is reported as 5.2.0.26.2
What does the GUI show?
It may be a cosmetic big, you should open a TAC case so we can confirm.

"Wrong" material number when using manufacturer part number

Hello gurus,
when I create a new material, first the system gives me a new material number according to the given number range of the material type, let's say 100000002. So far, so good.
But when I enter a manufacturer part number (e.g. 123456789) and press enter, the material number changes to 00000000000000000000000000000000100000002. And when I save the material master, the number is 123456789, allthough that number is not even allowed concerning the number range.
What's wrong here? Is this a bug or a feature? In my view the manufacturer part number should never overwrite our own material number!

What Material type you are Using for Creating Manufacturer Parts?? Its HERS and the Number Range for HERS Material type is Internal.
If you Want to Maintain externally then you have to Define new external no range and assign to HERS.
When you Select HERS you can see the Basic Text and Purchasing Views alone. In that You have to enter Desc of Mfg part and Input Original Material no.
Here is the Process for Manufacturer Part Profile :
Create External No ranges for Vendor Account Group MNFR and save.
Now Create Each Make / Manufacturer like ABB as one Vendor in XK01 Trxn code.
Create Material Code original say XXXX in MM01 with ROH material type. (for eg Transistor which is available with ABB & Seimens make)
Create material code for ABB make say 11with Material type HERS which contain only two views (Basic Data & Purchasing) and give Make, Original material No & Material group and other details and save.
Create material code for Seimens make say 12with Material type HERS which contain only two views (Basic Data & Purchasing) and give Make, Original material No & Material group and other details and save.
Create a Purchase order with original Material XXXX, then it will ask for mnfg part profile then select the material and click F4 on it it will show you the created mfg part nos like ABB 11 & seimes 12 and select one and save.
Prerequisite is you have to Activate Mfg part profile in OMPN trxn code
And in Material master Purchasing View Select the mfg part profile and save
Even if you set the Mfg part number in Display mode in SPRO settings system will throw the same error.
Now What can be done is :
Either go to ME21N and Select material tab after inputting and press f4 and select Manufacturer part number options then system will showe the list of mfg part number maintained to that material select the desired and save.
Else go to MM02 Purchasing View and in Mfg part Profile tab there must be a four charecter profile assigned to field Remove this and save.
The Second option is not a good practice.

"Invalid number" error using Interactive Report search on collection

hi -- I have several interactive reports based on collections. In the IR reqion query definition,
I cast the collection values as needed (number, date, etc). Everything's been working great.
In both development and production, I can use the search feature of interactive reports
and it finds rows containing the text I type in (as well as everything else working fine...)
I just imported a new version of an application into our production database. Now, when I use the
interactive report search, I always get "invalid number". This even happens on interactive reports
that still work in the previous version of the production application... and these IRS
have not been modified at all.
If I create a filter and search for "elevation" in a string column, the filter works. If I create a filter
searching for "elevation" in a number column, I get "invalid number". (In the development
environment, I can do the latter -- it just doesn't find any rows.)
Clearly it's choking on the types of the columns in the IR... but why now and not before, and why
in the production database but not the development DB? Both are running 4.0.1.00.03.
This is a pretty major loss of functionality... and it comes at a really bad time... Help?!

SWF Investigator Reading Wrong Version Number

Using CS6 to publish out at v10.3 though when I load my swfs into SWF investigator it's outputting v12. When I publish my files at v11, SWF investigator is outputting v15. Anyone else have this issue? This is not the case when I use CS5. Workarounds? We have an internal system checkpoint that blocks any files over 10.3 so this is blocking our workflow.

Flash detects wrong version number in one account

I have an iMac G5 with 2 user accounts on it. I go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to test the Flash version.
In the main (admin) user account, it displays 10.1.102.64
In the second (managed) account, it displays 9.0.20.0
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, deleted Flash and Safari preferences. Nothing changes. The second account still detects Flash 9 and doesn't play any video.
Suggestions welcome

This path lead me to finding some other outdated apps/plug-ins in the second user's account that caused some minor problems.
I suspect migration assistant may have installed them when I moved that account from an older iMac G4 onto the iMac G5. So the lesson of the day is: check the user's library and not just the system library.

I recently updated to 10.5.8 because my iTunes needed the new Safari and that needed 10.5.8
After doing this, my mail no longer works and gives me the message above. What I don't understand is why is there an update that is required for one this but doesn't allow you to run another? Am I missing a Mail update to allow it to run on 10.5.8???
I've already went through apple care and they walked me through running an Archival Install to get my computer back to its original settings, but that means I can't use Safari 4 and iTunes 9...

Wrong version of an entity bean object being updated

We are having a problem with an entity bean that uses bean managed persistence. The "order" entity bean has
been used as part of our Order Routing System for the last 2 years with no problems. The entity bean is
accessed via calls from a "Order Manager" session bean. No change has been done to the entity bean but the
frequency of calls from the session bean to update the entity bean have increased significantly.
The "order" entity bean wraps an Order object that contains order properties (i.e. id, quantity, price,
version, etc). The entity bean has a "void setOrder(Order param)" function that writes the Order to a database

We are using the SilverStream 3.5 application server as our EJB container. According to the SilverStream manual
it does not maintain a pool of idle/unused entity beans, instead it instantiates beans as requested.
Our problem is:
1) The wrong version of the entity object is sometimes being updated (i.e. an old instance of the order entity is being
picked up and updated on the database).
2) We sometimes get a TransactionRequired exception thrown when we have concurrent updates to two different
objects of the entity bean.
Any idea as to what our problem could be?

Whoops. Looks like your setOrder method is doing too much. It should do the inverse of getOrder (namely, setting the interal Order object), nothing more. Defer the persistence code to the ejbStore method.

Manual? What's that? Assuming that is correct, better hope you don't ever get a high load. You might wanna look into JBoss.

How can you have concurrent access to two different objects?? Concurrency is inherently applicable to only one object.
In summary:
Write your beans properly, ejbLoad populates the bean with data, ejbStore persists the bean's data.
Get a better (and possibly free) appserver.

WRT54G Version number not shown on sticker underneath the device?

Hi All,
First post.. I had looked through the FAQ w/o any answers.
I have had my WRT54G for at least 3 years and had previously upgraded my firmware to 4.20.7.. just wanted to upgrade it again to 4.21.1 but acutally did not realize which version of the firmware I last used. Looking at the sticker underneath the device, it only shows WRT54G but does not show a version number... are there any other places where the version number is shown? I looked all over but was unable to do so.
I supposed my version must be the "earlier" ones... are they "bad" consequences for flashing the wrong version number's firmware?

If it does'nt have a version with the model number of your router...then it is a version 1.... you can also verify this by the serial number....you can lookup wikipedia and find WRT54G there....they have a listing of these serial numbers with corresponding version numbers....but if you can see now that it does not have a version, pretty sure its a version 1....

Invalid Number Error in IR search bar.

Hi,
I am getting an invalid number error when i put a value in search bar without selecting the column name.
I followed ' "Invalid number" error using Interactive Report search on collection' thread and accordingly
1) Purged User preferences and session state.
2) Cleared browser settings and cache.
3) Deleted old region and Created a new region on the page with the same query.
If I select a column and search it works fine but when I just give an arrangement id which looks like 'ARR12345' directly in search bar it throws Invalid Number.
This is working perfectly fine in other environments which is replica of this one.
I also ran Apex util function to remove sort preferences.
Also my report is a very simple report like select * from a,b where a.id = b.id.
Please help me. This is a production issue.

How do I specify the build number when deploying an iOS application (not version number)

I'm looking for a way to specify the application's build number when deploying an iOS application.
Currently in the -app.xml file, you can specify a version number by using:
<versionNumber>1.0.24</versionNumber>
But when submitting to the iTunes Connect store, I want to be able to submit the new updates as a build change, and not version change to avoid the approval process again.
Can this be done ?

Hi Gig52,
Unfortunately, there is no way for you update/modify/increment the build/version number information from the command line. You will have to set that via the Project Explorer. You could check the box labeled Auto Increment in the Version Information property to have the version number automatically increment each time you build your application.

Driver version number

System Information doesn't tell me the version number of the NVIDIA GTX 780M driver on my iMac. Where can I access this information?

The version number Apple uses will likely not match any of Nvidia's official driver releases. Apple gets base driver software from Nvidia, which it then modifies heavily and implements in OS X. The verion string for the GeForce family of kernel extensions that Apple uses is 10.2.1, which can be seen by getting info on the GeForce.kext extension file in the /System/Extensions folder.
