Ssl to remote gateway

Is it possible to apply ssl to remote gateway port adapter?
we have setup remote gateway and IIS on one machine.
and IDM and App Server on another.
configured the IIS SSL with Websphere to call IDM page.
while IDM is interacting with Remote Gateway adapter, can we apply SSL to that port address(i think it is 9278)?

Hi,
For Event ID 102, please refer to following article and check if can help you.

What is confusing about this is that Remote Desktop Services role is not installed on this server
Did you enable RWA on the SBS 2011?
Small Business Server 2011 Standard installs and configures the Remote Desktop Gateway role for use with the Remote Web Access website. The setup process does not install the Remote Desktop Gateway Manager management console. As a result, the Remote Desktop
Gateway Manager mmc will not be listed under the Administrative Tools and in Server Manager, the Remote Desktop Gateway role will appear to not be installed. The service is however installed and is properly configured for use with the Remote Web Access website
by SBS Setup and the Internet Address Management wizard.
Please type
services.msc in RUN to open Services panel, navigate to Remote Desktop Gateway service and open its Properties. Would you please let me know the Startup type of this service that had been set? Meanwhile, please refer to following KB and check
if help you to manage the Remote Desktop Gateway Service in SBS 2011 Standard.

If any update, please feel free to let me know.
Hope this helps.

  • How to reduce the number of Remote Gateway connections from one server

    Hi ,
    We have an XI 3.0 prod system which is being flooded every month end by the invoices generated in our ERP system and occupying all the gateway connections, what I see is that all the remote gateway connections are being established by our ERP server and still there are many requests waiting at the ERP server and failing.
    When we ran the same in  our test landscape, the invoices are getting transferred to XI with out any problems, the remote gateway connections are free even when the invocie Volumes transferred are the same in Prod and Test servers.
    we are not considerint to Increasing the rdisp/max_gateways as the volumes of invocies transferred are really huge and in one of the test, we observed that when 40 invocies are transferred from ERP, it occupied 40 Remote gateway connections in our XI prod
    We are looking for the option similar to our test system of transferring many requests from one connection. Is there any such specific option?
    Regards,
    Santhi Bushan.

    Dear Santhi,
    every gateway establishes only one connection to another gateway. If there are that many gateway/gateway connections, then you are probably connecting from more than one instance. You could circumvent this, if you use gateway options in the RFC destination being used, as this will force all outgoing RFC calls to go through a single gateway. This will then mean that the system has a single point of access.
    Best Regards,
    Tim

  • Net Parameter "keepalive" And Remote Gateway

    Hello,everyone
    There are some over time connections in the remote gateways monitor,Tcode "SMGW".I used command "netstat -ano | grep 172.27.0.*". Output like this "tcp        0      0 172.59.2.19:3300            172.27.0.203:59454          ESTABLISHED off (0.00/0/0)". I'm sure these connection have been overtime.
    I have got Information which may be caused issues by WAN Firewall  or other security devices from the note "743888 GW: gw/so_keepalive profile parameter".
    My question is .If there are not WAN Firewall or other secrutiry devices and I don't active parameter "keepalive",these overtime connections could be off ? The sap would be check these overtime connections ?

    Hello, checking "Questions with no replies" I saw this yours...
    (Hope you no longer need it)
    You should consider also the parameters:
    gw/keepalive
    ms/keepalive
    rdisp/keepalive

  • OWSM SSL Configuation using Gateway

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell about configuring SSL using OWSM Gateway?
    Regards,
    Govind

    Depends on what application server (container) you're using.
    For instance, under WL 9.2, the SSL can be configured within the WL console. However, even if you configure 2-way SSL in WL ( enforcing client certificates ), it doesn't appear that the gateway application will supply the client certificate when it contacts the policy manager.
    So I've currently using 1-way SSL, but with identity assertion applied. Also, the gateway application's web.xml doesn't have any security authentication setup, so to make identity assertion work, I added the following in the web.xml:
    </welcome-file-list>
    <!-- added the following for identity assertion -->
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>SecureConnection</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <user-data-constraint>
    <description>SSL Required</description>
    <transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
    </user-data-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>CLIENT-CERT</auth-method>
    </login-config>
    This allows the gateway application to demand a client cert from its consumers even when the app server is set to 1-way SSL ( which allows the policy manager and gateway to connect to each other )

    I've tried the most common stuff.
    Enabling ICMP, checked that remote administration runs on port 443, changed MTU to 1400 manually, It allows fragmented packages too.
    Checked that IKE and IPSec services are running.
    I've also tried both with windows firewall ON and OFF.
    A collegue of mine had the same problem in the same timeframe as me, but after a while - he suddently was able to connect.
    I still can't!!
    Firmware Version:        1.0.2.4
    Anyone got a fix for this?
    Edit: IP is not real.

    Ok, so I had a chat with Cisco - and it seems like the setup on the RV220W was done correctly and was working fine.
    Showed me a few things that could come in handy checking out when running diag on the quickvpn.
    I disabled all antivirus realtime checks, opened 443 and 500 inbound to my computer - checked that the QuickVPN.exe had an exception in the windows firewall, and that the firewall was enabled.
    Also checked that the services was set tu Auto and Started.
    Rebooted computer, and I was able to connect!
    Now I'm working my way back to the setup I had, to figure out what went wrong in the first place.

  • RVO42G VPN Error - The Remote Gateway is Not Responding. Do you want to wait?

    I have followed the instructions @
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29399, but continue to receive the error message The remote gateway is not responding.  Do you want to wait?
    According to the RV042G, it shows the connection was made and the status is set to "online" for the user, but choosing to wait does not connect and the error returns eventually requiring you to select "no" to waiting.

    I am trying to setup a Client to Gateway VPN so I can utilize the 50 available tunnels.  I have setup a Group VPN with user accounts associated with it.  I have installed the Cisco QuickVPN client on Windows 7 and Windows 8 clients and have attempted to login.  I have followed the instructions that Cisco posted @ https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29399, but cannot connect a remote client successfully.  I recieve the error:

  • Adding remote Gateways to a UC install

    Are there any step by step installation documents for Cisco customers to install remote voice gateways on their own? We have a UC 8.5 install and may expand with other sites. For example we may want to remove our Avaya remote Gateways and put Cisco Voice Gateways in. Concerns are trunking, dial plans, call handlers etc. to these remote sites. Will Cisco allow you to purchase the hardware / software and allow the end user to do the install? Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Aside from you building the whole config and just ask them to telnet to it and paste it, that's a terrible idea. Step by step installation guides... for what??? If you want a guide that covers from logging into the ISR, setting interfaces, IPs, etc. all the way to setting up voice features, nope, there are guides for each feature separately, and we assume you know how to tie them all together to get a working config.
    You also cannot buy anything directly, you would need to go through a partner for that, not sure if you can simply have them buy it for you and then leave you on your own.
    I strongly suggest you have a reputable Cisco partner do this, or if someone within your company knows how to do this, have him do it.
    I'm assuming when you say "end user" you're referring to a non-technical individual with no, or minimal, knowledge of Cisco technologies.

  • Standard job, sap_ccms_moni_batch_dp, creates remote gateway

    I noticed that standard job, sap_ccms_moni_batch_dp, in our sandbox environment creates a remote gateway to our Production environment.  I'm thinking this is not a good thing.  I deleted all the standard SAP jobs and used the function in tcode SM36 to reschedule them.  They still create a remote gateway that seems to point at Production.   Is this an artifact of our recent system copy procedure to create our Sandbox?   How can I correct it?

    James,
    Did you run BDLS (Logical Name Conversion) after System Copy?
    Secondly you need to know if you need this job in your system.

  • Tuxedo remote gateway monitoring

    Is it possible to monitor from a Tuxedo domain traffic on a gateway to a remote domain (e.g. WebLogic)? If yes, would it then be possible to tell which remote node in a multi-node configuration is selected for a specific service request?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Tuxedo by itself does not provide either. On the other hand TSAM provides both. TSAM lets you monitor the traffic to remote domains and allows tracking a request from its initiation until it completes or leaves the Tuxedo environment. In other words, you can track a request to WTC up to the point of the exiting domain gateway, but not which connection from that gateway. Now if you segregate your remote connections to separate domain gateways (GWTDOMAIN servers) then you'd be able to know which remote WTC instance the request went to.
    We are looking at being able to track requests all the way into WLS and from WLS all the way into Tuxedo, but at the moment TSAM can only monitor within the boundaries of one or more Tuxedo domains.

  • SSL Flex Remote Object - no remoting-config file

    I realize that this topic has been discussed a lot, and I think
    I have the solution figured out.
    The problem is that I have to edit the remoting-config file - and there isn't one!
    I've hunted high and low on the server, and I just don't have the file.
    We are using Coldfusion                                      8,0,0,176276   Enterprise, and I have an instance for my flex applicaitons (we have multiple instances running, and none of them have the file).  The server is running on a Solaris VM.
    How do I fix this problem??
    Thanks!

    My context root is specified as the default "/" When I remove the context root variable from the services-config.xml, it can't find the file. I don't know where I can change context root, but I am confused as to what it should be, regardless.
    Add the -context-root to the compiler options, just like -services and set it to an empty string
    -services="/Applications/JRun4/servers/cfusion/cfusion-ear/cfusion-war/WEB-INF/f lex/servics-config.xml" -context-root=""

  • Remote Web Access (remote desktop gateway) issue with WHS2011

    I have been using Remote Web Access on my Windows Home Server 2011 for several years with no problems. Over the past several weeks, though, I have been receiving an error when I try to connect to a computer through WHS's Remote Web Access:
    "...the Remote Desktop Gateway is temporarily unavailable." Interestingly, when I try to connect from a Windows 8.1 computer, I just get a dialog box that says "Initiating connection," but the connection is never established. I cannot
    find any relevant errors in any of the event logs.
    I have read numerous articles relating to WHS configuration and port forwarding, but these do not have any information that addresses my situation. I have ports 4125, 80, and 443 forwarded to my Home Server. As I said, everything has been working fine with
    this configuration until several weeks ago -- I suspect it might have something to do with a .NET Framework 4.5 update that was recently installed (and that has now been uninstalled), but that is the only change I can think of.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi,
    As you have commented that after installing .Net framework you are facing this issue. So after uninstalling still you are facing the same issue. Apart from installing .Net framework 4.5, have you installed or done any other change on your server?
    Here you can check that “Remote Gateway Service” is running. Please check and restart the service if it’s stop. Apart you can check below 2 article for more detail step.
    1.  Can’t connect to the remote computer because the Remote Desktop Gateway server is temporarily unavailable error via SBS 2011
    2.  This computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Terminal Services Gateway server is temporarily unavailable (Try to perform the steps as suggested for
    WHS 2011)
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks,
    Dharmesh
