SSMA for My SQL v6.0 not connecting to MS SQL 2008R2

Is SSMA for My SQL v6.0 not supporting SQL 2008 R2.
Is this version not backward compatible. As while connecting to 2008R2 SQL i am getting the below message.
"You cannot connect to an older version (SQL Server 2008) of target SQL Server from a higher version SSMA project (Project type = SQL Server 2014). Try creating another SSMA project of project type
which matches the version of target SQL Server you are connecting to OR connect to a target SQL Server equal to SQL Server 2014.
And if issue is there then which version of software will let me do that?

Hi Shubhra,
As indicated in this
download link , SQL Server Migration Assistant v6.0 for MySQL supports SQL Server 2005 or higher version.
According to the above error message, it seems that you create a SSMA project for SQL Server 2014. To implement the migration process from MySQL to SQL Server 2008 R2, please ensure that you choose “SQL Server 2008” type in the following screenshot when
creating  SSMA project, then connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 and check if the error still occurs.
There is also a blog about how to migrate from MySQL to SQL Server using SSMA for your reference.

    Hello,
This forum is to discuss and ask questions about the Debugging tools of
Visual Studio, Visual Studio Profiler tools, and Visual Studio Ultimate IntelliTrace, it seems like that your issue is out of the support range which is regarding
Using the Transact-SQL Debugger, if that is the case, I would recommend you post this issue in the following forum like this thread
    Unable to start T-SQL debuging.

I have had my iphone 3gs for 3 mths., I have not connected it to my computer to creat a apple id and upload, somebody told me u have to do this right when u get your phone or you will loose everything in your phone. I don't want to loose all my #'s, pictures, texts, etc.
How can I do this without loosing everything?
    Thanks

They told you incorrectly, although it is not a good idea to rely on the device as a single point of storage.
You must have an Apple ID to purchase content via iTunes, simply log in with that ID in iTunes.  Then connect the device and sync it.  For detailed instructions, read the manual which is available online or on the device.

    - Reset the iPod. nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router

My ipad says it is connected to WiFi, which is workingly perfectly for several other devices, will not connect to internet.  It keeps giving the message 'Cannot Connect' or error has occurred or just blink off site or icon?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • SQL Error 130, not found in ERROR.SQL file.

    Dear All,
While connecting my application with Oracle Release 9.2.0.8.0 I am having the following error message would any one help in this regard please?
SQL Error 130, not found in ERROR.SQL file
    Thanks
    GQ

How is this connection being made?
Is it Oracle Forms, SQL*Plus, Java, .NET, JDBC etc?
The error message doesn't look like a standard ORA-XXXXX oracle error so I would suggest the message relates to the application trying to make the connection.

  • Could not connect to my sql server second instance

connection problem in sql server 2008 . i installed second instance
    but it does not connect

    1. Make sure SQL Server Service is running
    2. If a named instance, make sure SQL Server browser service is running
    3. Make sure SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections
    4. Examine the SQL Server error log for messages confirming that SQL is listening on the expected network interfaces and ports
    5. Test server connectivity with PING from the client machine
    6. Test port connectivity using TELNET or PowerShell to the server and port (from step 4) from the client machine.  For example
    a. TELNET <server-name> 1433
    b. PowerShell: 1433 | % { echo ((new-object Net.Sockets.TcpClient).Connect("YourServerName",$_)) "server listening on TCP port $_" }
    7. Check firewall settings if step 5 or 6 connectivity test fails

  • Apple shop changed my iphone 3gs today, got home and cannot join my wifi. both my mac and ipad is working on wifi. tried rebooting, resetting still doesnt hold the wifi, it's there for a sec then its not connected.help please?

    Hi,
Apple shop exchanged my iphone 3gs today. got home but it doesnt pick up the wifi. first the correct supplier appears then it says not connected.
both my mac and ipad is working on wifi (so did the previous phone) i ve tried rebooting, tried reset supplier...nothing works. can someone help please?
    thanks

Yes, they should be able to verify that WiFi is working properly. If I just got a new phone & it didn't work perfectly, right out of the box, before I started restoring or whatever, I'd be right back where I got the phone.

  • My Macbook Pro suddenly, and for no apparent reason, will not connect to the internet?

About a week ago I went to go online and my computer said I had no internet connection.  Around that same time I noticed that my background on my desk top was back to the factory set background it came with, but I did not change it.  That is the only thing I noticed out of sorts.  I asked the other members of my family if their computers had internet and they DO.  So does my iPod.  I knew it was not my internet service, but my computer.
There is a "!" on the internet signal icon (top right).  When I click on it I get a message in the drop down menu that says "Alert:  No Internet Connection...."  When I click on that, I get "Network Diagnostics" pane asking me to select location.  I choose 'automatic', 'continue', then 'Wi-Fi' and 'continue'.  Then it asks me to select Wi-Fi network.  I highlight my network then continue.  At this point, the words on the left are Wi-Fi- with a green dot, Wi-Fi settings with a green dot, Network settings with a yellow dot, ISP with a green dot, and Interenet and Server both with red dots.  Then it comes up  * "Network Change Detected - your network configuration has changed.  Click OK to proceed to the next step".  When I click OK,  it asks me for wireless security info.  I choose WEP password and then put my password in, and check the box next to "remember password in keychain", then continue.  Goes right back to the "Network Change Detected" message at the * above  and all the dots to the left accept the Wi-Fi one are now RED.  I just keep going in circles from there, continually coming back to this message no matter what I do!  I have no idea what happened or what to do?!
Does anyone have any ideas?  Please help!  I am a student and don't have any money to take it to a professional.  I am the only one in my house that has a Mac (everyone else has PC's) so no one can really help me troubleshoot.  I'm not a techy at all, but can follow directions if anyone can give me specific steps to try. Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not tested the solution suggested in the article linked above.
    But hope it helps.

  • SQL 2005 will not connect in SQL 2012 profiler

We have a few SQL 2005 databases that we manage. I went to do a trace on them(recently upgraded to 2012) and it gives me the error, "SQL Server Native Client 11.0 does not support connections to SQL Server 2000 and earlier versions".
According to MSDN it does.  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc280356(v=SQL.110).aspx
"SQL Server Native Client 11.0 supports connections to SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008
R2, SQL Server 2012, and Windows Azure SQL Database."
Any clue why it wouldn't let me connect?

Can you specify the following parameter in the "connect to server" dialog when you load the Profiler --> click on "options" button and go to "Additional Connection Parameters" tab and paste the following?

  • Any tips for if my iPhone will not connect to wi-fi?

I have an iPhone 3G and it won't connect to the wi-fi at my house. Help?!

    Some things to try:
Power cycle your wireless router (unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in)
    Update your router's firmware
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings (note: this will erase passwords for previously joined networks so you will need to re-enter these to join them in the future)
Change the encryption type on your router to WPA2 Personal (AES)
Make sure you router is broadcasting 2.4 GHz, not just 5 GHz
There are some additional troubleshooting steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
Also, here are recommended router settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199

  • Fixes for error message "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. A secure network connection could not be established. Make sure SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0 is enabled in the Internet Options control panel, then try again."

I did not know how to restore 10.5.3.3 as one person suggested and there appears to be no support to do this that I could find.  Has Apple fixed this problem for 10.6 yet?

Yes-I followed all of the instructions up to an including the changes recommened in security settings-nothing worked.  My time/date is accurate, I changed internet options on Explorer insuring the proper settings under advanced, etc.  At this point from reading the hassles of others it seems like the best idea is to downgrade to itunes 10.5.3 but don't know how to do that..thanks for reply

  • A pop-up window advising of software update for Firefox appears and does not connect with server

The window suggests strongly that I update software but when I attempt to update it does nothing but try to connect with server and never does

    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.<br />
    XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\&lt;user&gt;\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
    Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
