SSO affiliate applications don't show up in console
I have got a weird problem...
When I create an affiliate application using "SSO Administration" console, it does not show in Seroter's SSO utility.
If I create an affiliate application using ssomanage on command line, it does not show in "SSO Administration" console.
When I create an application using Seroter's utility, it does not show "SSO Administration" console.
All applications show when I use ssomanage -listapps all, but the ones I created using ssomanage or Seroter's app do not show when I try "ssomanage -listapps" or on sso admin console.
I have SSO configured, tried both local account and domain account to run SSO service but same behavior. The account SSO service runs under is in all SSO and BizTalk groups.
Any help? idea on this?
Can you query this SQL against you SSO DB and see whether our affiliated application is listed in the db.
select * from SSODB.dbo.SSOX_ApplicationInfo
Any tool you use, would eventually insert the record into you DB and in this table. So check whether data is inserted into your SQL SSO db.
How do you view in the ENTSSO -admin console.
"Affiliate Application"-->View-->Config Store
Ensure "Config Store" view is enabled.

Message application don't show character count - Iphone 4S with iOS7
Why my iPhone 4S upgraded to iOS 7, don't show character count whwen I type a message?
Thank you for the answer.I have iOS 7 on an iPhone 4s and had the same problem but was able to "solve" it. I turned the character count on in settings like mentioned in the replies above but didn't see character count working. Then I finally noticed it working on a text I was sending. The count appeared in a very tiny light gray font just above the "send" button for sending a message. It is very faint and hard to see when it appears. It'll show like "27/160" for example for 27 characters typed. And the real kicker is that it doesn't appear as soon as you start composing a text. For me the count would appear after about 30 characters had been typed. Sometimes it appears after 27 characters, sometimes after 32. I can't figure out the logic behind when it appears, it's odd.
But if you changed your setting to have the count on & don't see it, there's a chance that it's probably working and is difficult to see & only appears after a certain number of characters have been typed. -
Applications don't show in Navigate Applications Consolidation
Odd problem; hoping someone has a fix:
I have tested this issue with several user IDs and permissions, etc are all set up correctly. On 1 single pc (using IE7), when any user logs in, no applications show up...just a dash (-). When these users log in on other pcs (using IE6 or IE7), the applications show up correctly.
The weird thing is that when the user has their profile to default start in a certain application, it works on the "bad" pc. They go right into the app. However, when they go to Navigate > Applications > Consolidation, they still see only the dash.
Anyone have this happen?
Thanks!Hi,
try this:
-> open IE
-> add your workspace domain into Trusted Sites
-> then open Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trusted Sites - Custom Level
-> find "allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints" and check select Enable
-> restart all IE window
-> open IE - probably now works :-)

Using our Enterprise License key Design Standard, and Design Premium, Design Web, and Web Premium don't show up as applications we can package in Creative Cloud Packager. What apps replaces these in CC?
If your machine does not meet the tech specs for an application, the application will not be listed/offered in the manager. In this case Premiere Pro CC is a 64-bit application and your machine is 32-bit.

Applications added in Finder & System Parental Controls don't show up
I am the admin of our computer, and have multiple Managed accounts for my kids. I have limited the applications available to them in the Finder & System. However, i recently tried to add applications to one of the accounts and they don't show up when i log back into my kids account. I have tried logging out of the Admin account when done. I've tried restarting. But they won't "stick"!? Any ideas?
iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)Thanks Barney, I tried that but all that comes up in Spotlight are the log files that show the file paths! I don't know how Steam works. Are all the files held by Steam on their server perhaps?

ITunes don't show and don't good synchronizes a few application
Hello,
I have problmes with iTunes 11.0.4.4 on Windows 8, it don't show good a few application without appear raison, when I want to synchronisiez these application, it don't work, there is an error on my iPhone.
Have you a solution ?
Thanks.Wolfy62335 (Dave), Thanks for your advice.
Sadly I tried your fix to the 'Recently Added' smart playlist, and variants thereof:
_Turned off 'live updating' - no change; Quit and Opened iTunes, no change
_Deleted 'Recently Added' - no change; Quit and Opened iTunes, no change
... but I found my fix.
Recently I had moved a ripped CD from my wife's Mac to mine without issue; so I opened my music library folder and copied the folder of 1x of the 'missing' ripped CD to a USB memory stick.
I then deleted that CD folder within the music folder (not through iTunes), then opened iTunes and found those same songs within my reinstated 'recently added' smart playlist and tried to play them - of course, I was rewarded with the symbol against each song.
I then dragged the copied CD folder from the USB back to the Music Library zone on iTunes (I have the side bar showing) and the songs reinstalled, confirmed by the appearance of the install window.
Hey Pesto, not only did that ripped CD suddenly 'appear' in the music library, but all my other 'missing' ripped CDs reappeared in the music library. (I only copied 1x ripped folder to test this idea)
The reinstall seems to have triggered a larger correction to the main music library database and - problem solved.
Minor cleanup of the music library followed as I found had to manually delete the original song references within the music library still showing the symbol which are now defunct, but only of the songs I used to recorrect the music library.
Thanks for your original advice, it helped me think more broadly about how the iTunes database is working at the moment when you rip directly from a CD into iTunes. Since this appears to be a issue affecting others, I look forward to the official fix in the next variant of the program.
Regards to all. -
SSO Partner Application not working
Hi,
I have OBIEE running on a different box. I need to enable SSO for OBIEE. I deployed the analytics.war file in the home oc4j container of Oracle Portal and manually registered it as a Partner Application, made following changes in mod_osso.conf inside ORACLE_PORTAL_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf and restarted the apache server. But when I access the application it does shows me the SSO login page but after entering the credentials it throws internal server error. I checked the log files but don't see any errors in there so wondering what could be wrong.
Here is what I have added in the mod_osso.conf
<Location /analytics>
Header unset Pragma
OssoSendCacheHeaders off
AuthType Basic
require valid-user
</Location>Any help is appreciated.
Thanksplease check your $ORACLE_HOME/sso/log/ssoreg.err and $ORACLE_HOME/sso/log/ssoreg.log and see if you have errors in your sso-registration.
thanks!

How do I delete photo albums from my IPhone that don't show up in Itunes?
I have an IMac recently upgraded to OSX 10.9. My Iphone is a 4S running 7.0.4. I know how to manage songs and photos using ITunes, but somehow my entire photo library has been synched to my IPhone. The odd thing is the photos don't show up when I run the Preview Application (one way to remove photos from the IPhone). Only the Camera Roll photos show up there. And in ITunes I do not have any albums checked to synch. I have no idea how the albums got onto my phone, and no idea how to remove them.
In ITunes, I make sure no photo albums are selected, and I choose "synch," but they just won't remove from the Iphone. When I look under "Settings" "General" on my Iphone sometimes it shows over 8,000 photos and sometimes 2,000 photos. But the albums never are removed. Another strange thing is that in ITunes "Photos" at the bottom where you see the colored visuals of what applications are using space "Other" consumes more than half my space.
I'm about ready to do a factory reset. Can anyone help????. Another strange thing is that in ITunes "Photos" at the bottom where you see the colored visuals of what applications are using space "Other" consumes more than half my space.
that can sometimes happen, when trying to update the software failed. Then partially downloaded updates will take up a lot of space. Photos synced to iDevices can only be removed by syncing again.
If syncing again with just one small album with a single photo selected will not remove the synced albums, back up the iPhone to iTunes and restore the device to factory settings:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
Restoring should get rid of the "other" and the synced albums. -
Some photos don't show in LIbrary view--just the outlines of them
Tonight I tried to transfer a bunch of digital photos from a CD my daughter burned into my iPhoto library, into the 2006 year folder.
I opened the CD and in the icon view, the pictures looked fine--jpeg files.
After I transferred them, these pictures don't show in my initial iPhoto window (the one that opens first when you click on iPhoto in the Dock, and shows all the pictures in my Library sorted by (in my case) roll/date.
Then photo thumbnails from years prior to 2005 show up, fine, but for the most recent year of pictures, all I get are the outlines of where the thumbnails ought to show. When I click on one of the blank thumbnails, of course I get a blank ...but the frame in the lower left shows the ID info for the picture and the picture counts, etc.
I can open the folders from the Pictures file and see them...they just won't show up in the overall Library window.
So...I moved the transferred ones out of the iPhoto library and just put them in the Pictures folder for now.
But what did I do? And how do I "fix it" to make all the thumbnails show up again? This is probably some simple thing...but I can't figure it out. I tried showing just the last 12 months...and I get all the blank outlines.
G4 iBook Mac OS X (10.3.9) Using iPhoto 5, 768MB RAM,Hi john,
First problem. You need to import photos into the iPhoto Library the correct way which is while iPhoto is open. Drag the photos out of where you put them (you already did) now you can import them into iPhoto from there.
Read on for more info....--First thing to know and remember is this...Do not drag any images, folder of images into the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Images have to be imported into iPhoto within the application. Do not scan images and save them into the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder. Save them to another location such as the Pictures folder or even the desktop. You can then import them into iPhoto.
If you have already put files/folders in the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder then you will also find out that if you try to import them into iPhoto you will get an error message. No worry, just drag them to the desktop and import from there.
--All images that you import are shown in the library view. You can choose how you want to view, by rolls, by date, by rating, etc. When you put images in an Album, slideshow, book, etc, you are actually just putting pointers to those images in the library. You are not adding more images. If you delete an image from the Album it will still be in the library. If you delete an image from the library it is deleted from iPhoto's database and your hard drive (unless you have it backed up somewhere else)
--You have a folder of images on your hard drive and want to import them into iPhoto. Drag the folder of images into an open iPhoto Library window and the folder of photos will be copied into the library, resulting in a new roll with the name of the folder. You now have two copies of those photos, the ones in iPhoto's database and the ones on your desktop. You can keep the ones on your desktop that you just imported as backup or you can delete that folder.
-- you scan a picture/pictures and save it in a folder. You cannot scan directly into iPhoto or the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder.
You want all your photos in iPhoto so you import them into iPhoto.
Now you have two copies of that picture/pictures, so you can delete the originals that were in the scanned folder and keep the one/ones that were imported into iPhoto.
-- You download pictures from your camera into iPhoto.
There is now one copy of each of the pictures. (DO NOT HAVE IPHOTO DELETE THE IMAGES FROM YOUR CAMERA! DELETE THEM MANUALLY WITH THE CAMERA-if something goes wrong with the import and they are never imported and then they are deleted from the camera you might end up losing those images)
You want to change something about a picture you imported, such as
cropping it or changing the size, or changing the orientation.
Once you do that to a picture, you now have two copies of the picture
in iPhoto, the original and the edited one. The edited one will be in the library organize view. The original is packed away in an Original folder in your iPhoto Library folder under the date of the roll. You can always revert to the original by control clicking on the photo and choose "revert to orginal" You will not have this choice if you used iPhoto Diet to get rid of the Originals.
(a quick note on cropping within iPhoto...when you are in edit mode, you automatically will be in the crop mode with cross hairs to highlight the crop area. To finish cropping you must click the crop button and then go back to library view and your cropped picture will be there.
3.You want to use Photoshop or another graphic program to edit a picture in your iPhoto library.
You can open up prefs for iPhoto and choose "when double clicking on
photo ..do" choose "other" and select Photoshop. Now you can edit all
pictures in your iPhoto library in PhotoShop by double clicking. If you save the photo with the same name and as a flattened file it will be saved right into iPhoto and you will see the changes. If you don't want to save it into iPhoto then do a "save as" and save to the desktop. You will then have the original photo still in iPhoto and your new edited photo on the desktop.
Or, with iPhoto open, you can drag a picture from the library window
to your desktop (you see a + sign on the pic you are dragging). You now
have two of the same picture, one in the iPhoto library and one on your desktop. You can open up the one on your desktop in any graphic program and work on it. The one in iPhoto stays the same. You can also share/export the picture/pictures to your desktop or folder to work on them or do batch processing, etc. You will still have the originals in your iPhoto Library.
Or, you can open up the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library/folders and option drag any
picture out of the folder to your desktop. Notice that you will see a plus sign while dragging the photo. This is copying the file to your desktop
I would advise anyone not to do this as they might forget to use the option key and drag the photo out. Next time you open iPhoto the photo will be missing.

Quits while importing; pictures in library folder don't show in window
Quits while importing; photos are in iPhoto Library, but don't show up
I have about 6500 photos in iPhoto 5.0.4. Everything worked well until this week when I went to import a series of new pictures. I import from a Scandisk card reader.
The process appeared to go well until the progress bar showed 1 photo remaining. After a time the application quit.
I tried again with the same result, several times.
I tried rebuilding the library. It appeared not to work.
I copied the library to another disk drive and tried to create a new library and copying back the pictures into the new library. It didn't work.
I trashed the software and reinstalled it, then copied the old pictures into the library and the new ones from my camera. Then I had to recreate the albums I had before. It worked.
This morning I shot more pictures and tried to add them to the library. Déja vu. It got to one picture remaining and quit.
I rebuilt the library. This time it seemed to work. The "new" pictures were still in the library folders on the hard drive but did not show up on the screen (one for each time I'd tried to load them with _1, _2, etc. added to the name, for each additional attempt, including the last one in the series).
I tried to add to the library. It quit at the one photo remaining point again.
Suggestions, please.
Alex NortonHi Alex,
Two things to suggest:
-Try a different card reader
-Use Image Capture to import your images to the computer. You will have much more control. Once images are downloaded you can put them in dated folders then import the folders to iPhoto.
This is my preferred method and is what I do.
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.

Keywords imported but don't show up with photos
I am not getting keywords to show up with imported photos. i've done a lot of searching on this and other forums to try to figure out what is different about my situation but to no avail. here's what I've deduced though:
the keywords will import if I deselect “Copy the items to the iPhoto Library”. But if I leave the default box checked", I will not get keywords associated with the photos.
(the rest of my discussion deals with a library where the imported photos ARE copied to the library)
Interestingly, the keywords ARE imported into iPhoto (if one looks at the keyword list); they just aren't attached to the photos (i.e. clicking <Get Info> shows no keywords, as opposed to them being there but just not showing up on the screen with the image). Most (but not all) of my imported photos show up in iPhoto without any keywords attached. Most Events are all-or-nothing; i.e. all the photos of the event either have keywords or don’t. At least one Event is a mix. I cannot make any sense as to why some do, as the ones that do will be part of an event that all the other photo's don't show the keywords; additionally, neither the ones with nor the ones without keywords share any common feature or change (e.g. edited, rotated, file type, keyword/tag name, etc.).
I'm a pretty basic user when it comes to photos (but with a fair amount of common sense and computer knowledge); not trying to do anything fancy here. I don't know much about photography, so I'm not manipulating photo settings on my camera and am not (purposefully/knowingly) manipulating the metadata directly from the file. So, I'm baffled as to why my system would be acting differently than any other "out of the box" iMac.
In case it matters:
-- the photos being imported originated from a Windows-based PC and tagged by Adobe Photoshop Elements. I have the same problem regardless of whether I export them (using Photoshop) to a file on the iMac or directly import them over the network from the PC using iPhoto.
-- (Using iPhoto Library Manager) I created another iPhoto library to see if the same thing would happen with photos imported to a different library -- same problem. (BTW, I checked the new library's Keywords BEFORE I imported to make sure the keyword "library" wasn't somehow replicated from the previous library.)
-- In one of your forum discussions, you said that these “copies” would be in the “Originals” folder within the iPhoto package, right? If so, then they are the same size as the files being imported minus a few KBs, presumably due to the lack of associated keywords.
I assume that these "copied" files are suppose to retain their keyword/tag info. Any ideas why they aren't and/or what I can do about it? I tried rebuilding the database too but that didn't do any good. I'm figuring on trying to reimport everything again, but I fear I'll get the same result.Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First try the simple fix: delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Launch iPhoto and see if the keywords show up. If not, then launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete. -

1. The JRE crashed after startup. Many times, but not always, if such a crash occurs it will leave a JRE dump file on the desktop. Its content may help to identify the cause.
2. The Forms runtime crashed at startup. Many times, but not always, a Forms dump file will be created on the server. Its content may help to identify the cause.
3. The Forms runtime was unable to start at all. This can occur on unix systems when/if there is a resource or permissions issue. One of the more common causes is if the file descriptor (nofiles) value is set too low.
4. The applet is actually running, but has attempted to display a dialog box and is awaiting your acknowledgement, but the box was wrongfully sent to the background behind the browser. A similar issue was reported in one of the JRE 1.6.0_xx series, however I don't recall which one. Uninstall your current version and install the latest which is 1.6.0_27
There are other possibilities, but these are most common.
I would recommend the following:
1. Uninstall any JRE older than 1.6.0_27. Reboot. Install 1.6.0_27
2. Set networkRetries=5 in formsweb.cfg
3. Set FORMS_TIMEOUT to 15 (default). Setting to a high value as you have is not recommended and is rarely necessary.
4. Verify that the test form works. For example:
http://machine:port/forms/frmservlet?form=test
5. It appears that you are trying to use WU_TEST_106.fmx. Instead, download an updated version of this file (the name has also changed)
http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/196249.zip
6. Ensure that you have compiled webutil.pll into .plx. Do not use an old version of this file. The installation will include one. If not, check for it in an installation that also includes the Builders. -
In my Finder window, the picture icons that usually show up next to the items are not there. i.e. in my sidebar, the little pictures that are usually by the Application, Desktop, Documents, etc items. Also, the back and forward arrows, list items and tasks don't show as well. Any ideas on how to get them back?
