SSRS 'new subscription', 'Edit subscription' very slow
Hi guys,
I've been tasked by someone higher up to subscribe a ton of reports in SSRS. However editing the subscription (if I make a mistake) and creating the subscription in general is very slow. Has anyone came across this before? We're using SQL Server 2012.

Safe mode disables the installed '''Extensions''', and themes ('''Appearance''') in '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons'''. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is '''Tools''' > '''Options''' > '''Advanced''' > '''General''' > '''Use hardware acceleration when available'''. My ipad on the new ios7 is working very slow wifi
my ipad on the new ios7 is working very slow on wifi and so is my iphone 5 any suggestions?
A solution has been found thanks to a couple of hours on the net and logical analysis.
It seems my email provider BT has changed their mail client to Outlook 365. They have started my migration, hence I cannot send mail from home wifi, and will complete after a few days.
If anyone reading this in the UK and has the same issue then follow this link for setup of the new system.

Editing sliders very slow & jerky.......
I finally received my replacement ADS Pyro, so now I can start recording video again. The problem is that when I go to edit in iMovie HD, the editing sliders won't keep up with my mouse, as well as being very jerky & slow (if I move the upper single slider, things go very smoothly). Is this a known issue with Leopard?? I never had anything even remotely like this happen with Tiger. I need to have smooth operation when I go to edit, as the slow, jerky motions are extremely annoying. My machine is definitely up to the task as far as power & RAM go. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I do know about the precision editing, but getting the sliders to the points that I want to edit was very slow & jerky (once the sliders were in the vicinity, the precision editing worked fine). I have changed some settings, as well as making some adjustments, & it seems to be working now. I will try it again on a couple of other projects just to be sure.

New to this board, so patience please!
3 weeks ago purchased a new T61 w/2.0GHz Intel duo core, 2 GB RAM and a 150GB HDD. Running XP Pro. Like the weight and feel but the performance is very, very slow. Takes 3-5 minutes to boot and when toggling between programs (ie: Outlook to Excel to IE) takes 30 sec - 1 minute to switch.
Have run "services.msc" and note there are 60+ services running! Anyone know why so many are running and which are non-essential? Have also disabled most of start-up options via msconfig. Still running very slow.
My former Asus W7 was much faster (but the battery life was very poor. And not nearly as rugged as the Lenova).
Any help much appreciated. Need speed!
Regards, ChrisNewer ThinkPads are coming with loads of stuff you don't need: Trials for Office 2007, Picassa, and a plethora of other tools you may or may not need ALL with auto updates turned on and ALL trying to update at the same time when you start.
So the second thing to do once indexing is complete is to look through Add Remove Programs, and uninstall what you do not need. For example, I did not need:
Office 2007 Trial (I use Office 2003)
Picassa (I don't need it)
Symantec Trial License (Good product, but I have a Corp. license)
CSS (disable)
ThinkVantage Updater (A tool that has NEVER worked properly)
Further, I turned off (prevented from starting) a number of things like Sonic update, and then turned off the update functions in a number of other tools (SUN Java, Adobe, Windows Auto Update, and so on). Automatic updates can really slow down a machine.
Also, in Internet Explorer, reduce (by 75 percent or more) the amount of cache it sets aside for temporary files. Once that was all done, the T60 I was working on starts reasonable quickly (as fast as needed) and performs very well.

The new IOS 7 is very slow on my ipad 2.
Dear all,
The New IOS7 is very slow on my ipad2.
In the past you could close all the APP's by duoble clicking the start button, but now ti's not possibl.
Is this stil necessary?I expected a performance hit, but my iPad is now unusable with the 10-15 second typing delay. I didn't expect to loose the use of my iPad through the upgrade.
I'm going to try a restore to see if that fixes anything. After that I'm out of ideas. I will be watching your post for other responses. I too have a post worded a little differently. Maybe that will get a helpful response. -

Since moving to a new location Foxfire is very slow
I have recently moved and since that time Foxfire is very slow and hesitant. I have rebooted and everything I know to do. Can you please help me?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Edit Bookmarks - very slow response - why???
When I add new OR edit bookmarks --no matter from where in firefox
e.g.
1 from Add bookmark -- , click add new folder, or change a folder name, then add the bookmark
2 from Addbookmark -- scroll up to the folder I want to insert the bookmark for
3 from bookmark SIDEBAR - cmd B - drag and drop a bookmark
4 from Show all bookmarks -- drag and drop
there is such a delay like 5-50sec, that I think Firefox has not done what I requested, so I re-key and then it all gets messed up.
this has been long standing issue.
no improvement since upgrade Firefox 11

Brand new mac book pro very slow
I just purchased a brand new mac book pro 13" with and i5 processor, 2.3ghz, 4 gb ram, running osX Lion. I bought it to replace my 2008 mac book pro that had a failing hard drive and a bad logic board. So i bought this new mac book 2 days ago, set it up and everything was great until i went to surf the net. My internet is so slow, webpages take ages to load about 5 minutes or more, same with videos (like on youtube). So I tried my old mac book and the internet was running great on that one, same with my roomates old macbook, my boyfriends pc and numerous other devices connected to my wifi (a nook, a tablet, and an iphone). So i checked my network settings everything was good, its was functioning fine according to network diagnostics. After googling this I switched my dns to googles public dns which made no difference either. When plugged directly into the router via ethernet the internet surfs like a champ. If the wireless internet preforms like this my new macbook is somewhat useless to me .Help! What could be the problem? Or did apple just really screw up the airport on these new macs? My old mac was a beast speed wise, i firgure the new mac should put the older ones to shame. What gives?
I suggest use the ethernet cable. They're much faster to transfer. You only need to connect your imac and mbpr directly to each other using the cable. There is no need for the wifi if you connect the ethernet cable.

Photo editing features very slow
Hi
I have just upgraded to iPhoto 08. When I try to use the image editor functions, iPhoto seems to be really slow. With the last version of iPhoto i never had this problem and i could move the sliders and the changes would be instant but now they seem to take ages.
I am running a MacBook 1.83ghz Core 2 with 2gig ram so there shouldnt be an issue with resource. Any suggestions?Paul:
Another question: how much free space do you have on the drive?
Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file. -
New airport extreme network very slow
I just bought the latest AE base station dual band, but am having trouble with the speeds. We have on the network:
1 macbook pro, 1 windows pc, 2 ipads, 1 ipad mini, 1 kindle fire, 2 iphones, 2 ipods (wow we have a lot of products I just realized now that I am writing them all down) a Wii console and 1 mac desktop computer. Oh and I have an airport express in another room set up to extend the netowrk.
Not all of them are on the network simultaneously.
Using the Airport utility (windows version) I have set up the network trying different configurations. Currently I have it set up as:
Radio mode: automatic
Radio channel selection: automatic
wireless security: WPA2 Personal
network options are 5 Ghz is unchecked
country is US
multicast rate: low
transmit power: 100%
WPA Group Key Timeout: 2 hours
use wide channels is checked
All devices can connect to the net, but speeds are at old dial up levels and that of course was NOT my intention in getting the latest router.
Any advice from those who understand things like multicast rate? You either have a defective base station, it is not set up properly, or there is some form of Wi-Fi interference that is preventing your new AirPort Extreme from providing a clean signal.
What make & model was the router that you are replacing with the 802.11ac AirPort Extreme? -

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies. -
Mail cant read my new email and is very slow
When MAC I open my Mail application it takes ages to load the inbox and NON of my 3 POP mail accounts can be read, i have the Saturn ring spinning non stop but nothing happens.
This problem started yesterday morning and I am not sure if it is my ISP or the MAC. I have used a MAC for a year but do not know how I should go about troubleshooting this problem.
Thanks for your help, CesarWhat’s the capacity and space available on the startup disk?
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
Now, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network > Show: Network Port Configurations, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
Finally, try launching Mail with no Internet connection. Does Mail work properly while offline?
