St02 and different application server

I am trying to find an easier way to read the swap entries for all our CI and application servers. Is there a way to find out which table contains all the entries for the swap settings of all the application servers? OR if there is any other automated way to get swap information without having to go to sm51 and selecting each app server and going to st02 to get the swap entries.

From the history screen of ST02 (Shift + F6) you can scroll through each application server without needing to do this via SM51 but I am not aware of a way of easily getting to the initial screen of ST02 for each instance switching via SM51 or also no way of getting the same information for all application servers.

I have been using client server till now, now planning to move to 10g. Got the developer suite 10g.
Tell me how and where to install forms/reports and Oracle application server... I mean forms reports should be on developer PC then what about application server? should it be on a different dedicated server? or can i have it on database server?
in case, if I install application server on one server and database is on another server then what about forms and reports?
please tell me which is the right option?

One for the database server.
One for the Application Server.
The Application Server is basically used for hosting your forms and reports, so you dont have to place the forms and reports on the developer PC or at any other server.

applications. In a 3 tier architecture, Oracle9i Database fits in the Database tier where as Oracle9iAS fits in the middle
tier. Oracle9iAS provides an infrastructure to run different types of applications(J2EE thru OC4J, Forms applns, Portal
based applns, Wireless applns etc..)

Switch to different application server in ABAP program

Hello everyone,
I am currently working on some ABAP objects classes and tool programs for additional user administration functionality. We are runnig a SAP ERP system with distributed application servers and active logon load-balancing for users.
I'd like to switch to a different application server from within my program in order to get all relevant information for an active user. So far I only found the function TH_SELECT_SERVER (from the function group THFB) for this, but this uses a separate dialog for interactively switching to another application server.
I could use RFC calls with a lookup table for the destinations of individual application servers, but this would not be as flexible. Also I would have to create some wrapper code for standard functions which are not defined as RFC-usable. So I would rather like to switch to the other server instead.
What I'd like to do instead is switching to another server from a user-related server list without any additional interaction in order to run a function locally on the other server. Does anybody know some function, object method etc. which will do the trick?

I debugged the report program RSM51000_ALV & found the sub-routine SM51_USER_CMD.
The SY-UCOMM for our purpose is 'RLOG'. and it utilises the FM 'TH_REMOTE_TRANSACTION' )

Today I visited some website and read an information that Oracle 9i AS and orion application server are two differece application server.But When I start Oracle 9i AS ,I must use command of "java -jar orion.jar".Are they the same application server? If not ,can you tell me what difference?

I'm sure other people will coreect any errors I am about to make
(if I make any :-), but some time ago, Oracle mad a licensing
agreement with a company called IronFlare, regarding IronFlare's
application server product called OrionServer. After that, Oracle
came out with a new product -- Oracle Containers for Java (OC4J)
-- which is based on OrionServer. In the first version (that had
the version number 1.0.2.2), the application server basically came
bundled in the "orion.jar" file, so in order to start up the application
server, you used a command like:
java -jar orion.jar
However, the next version of OC4J (with version number 9.0.2.0.0
[go figure ;-]), contained the "oc4j.jar" file (which replaced
the "orion.jar" file).
So I would say that the first version of OC4J was almost identical
to OrionServer. But I think subsequent versions are becoming more
and more different. Remember that at the same time, OrionServer
is also still being developed. I think the first version of OC4J
was based on version 1.5.2 of OrionServer. The next version of
OrionServer (that should be released soon) is version 1.6.0.
I have no idea how similar the latest version of OrionServer is
to the latest version of OC4J. But if Oracle's history is any
guide, then I would say that, eventually, OC4J and OrionServer
will have very little similarity between them. Just look at the
paths that Oracle's JDeveloper has taken in comparison with Borland's
JBuilder. Originally, JDeveloper was based on JBuilder. Today,
they are two completely different products.

Can Forms/Reports 9i run on a different Application Server, e.g. Apache? i.e. without needing to use 9iAS.
It is quoted in the document "Migrating Client/Server to the web" that it may be possible, but will not be supported. Is this possible?
The reason I ask this is due to the costs involved of 9iAS. If I can use an alternative route like Apache / Tomcat, it's free. Then I only need the developer suite licensing.

Run Oracle Web Logic and Oracle Application Server 10g on same server

Since oracle has chosen to release adf faces 11g, before the SOA suite 11g is released, we are facing the challenge to run both Oracle Web logic and Oracle Application Server 10g on the same server.
If anyone have any experience in this setup or has knowledge of other feasable setups please let me know.

What version of Oracle Application Server 10g are you installing?
If you are installing 10gR2 (v10.1.2.x) have you taken a look at point #70 in "Table 2 Additional Information for Certified Platforms" section here?

can i deploy my application build on oracle 10g using developer suite with db10g and I don't use application server?For individual use and development yes u can using oracle Developer suit after starting OC4J
but for client use for more than x user to be able to run reports using parameter forms and other forms application u must use Oracle Application Server

Sending a message to different application server

I have a session bean that send message to a message driven bean in the same application server.
I wonder how to send the same message to a message driven bean in a different application server.
Is Context.PROVIDER_URL (jndi hard coding) important for that matter?

EJB Supporting Different Application Server

I have a task to develop an session/entity bean(for both select and insert) which needs to be called from both WebSphere Application Server(4.x) and Resin Application Server
For your information - WAS uses EJB(1.1) and Resin uses EJB(2.0).
I want to create this session/entity bean which works on both application server without doing any change in code. Is that really possible. If YES - HOW ? Please suggest if you really know anything on this topic. Thanks.

Install both Sun Application server and Jboss application server- Can I?

Is it possible to install sun application server and jboss application server in the same computer (Windows XP Professional)?
Is there any special attention I need to take?

Are JDev9i UIX and BC4J application server dependent?

If I use JDeveloper9i to build an application using UIX XML + BC4J + Java, then can this be deployed on IBM Websphere, Web Logic, Oracle 9iAS, etc...?

BC4J and UIX are not tied to any application server. They are "just" a collection of jar files that you can deploy to any application server.
