  • NVIDIA Detonator Driver Performance Database

The guys at Tweakers Asylum have built a Public nVidia Detonator Driver Performance Database used to store information on the various nVidia Detonator Drivers. They are collecting benchmark information, based on 3DMark2001 SE results for nVidia Detonator Drivers.
    Public Detonator Driver Database
    Take Care,
    Richard

My system halts whenever I do certain applications such as Windows Media player. audio cleaning Lab 2005 deLuxe, and recordings..... it happens all the time.  However, PC does not crash at other times.
I thought it was my old GeForce3 Ti200 in the first place so I changed it to GeForce4 Ti4600 and the problem is still there :(
I refreshed Win98se and downloaded updates from Microsoft.  I ran memtest68, Registry mechanics, Anti-virus - all successful but still my PC crashes!   By the way, my PSU is http://www.jeantech.com/Products/Power_Supply/400W/400w.html (+3.3v @ 28A, +5v @ 35A, +12v @ 17A).   This is my new PSU replacing my old PSU 300W just few weeks ago.   I suppose this PSU is rubbish! right?
    Any suggestions here?

    Hi there.
I had encountered the same hanging problem at "Performing database characterset conversion adsvdcnv.cmd" (On Microsoft Windows Server 2003 - - XEON PROCESSOR - a staging area installation - rapidwiz ver 11.5.9.22 - . ).
What i did is that i installed the JDK version : 1.4.2.04 instead of 1.3.1 and reinstalled the product. So the installation completed successfully..

  • To perform database update in a module with AT EXIT-COMMAND addition

    Dear All,
I have a function code 'EXIT' with function type 'E'. When this function code is triggered, my screen should close.
In the module that handles this function code (defined with AT EXIT-COMMAND addition), I will prompt the user whether he/she want's to save the data before exiting with the POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_STEP function module. The text message in the dialog box is "Do you want to save before exiting?".
When the user wants to save the data, a simple UPDATE statement will be executed to write the data on screen to database.
The problem here is since the module is defined with AT EXIT-COMMAND addition, the data on screen won't be copied to their corresponding variable on the code (correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore, even though database update is performed, the data written to database are no different that the original.
How to perform database update in a module with AT EXIT-COMMAND addition?
    or
Is it even a "custom" or a "good practice" to prompt user to save data before exiting?
    Thanks in advance,
    Haris

With an exit command, if there's anything that would be lost, I would prompt "Data will be lost, do you wish to continue?". If they do, the database is not updated, if they don't, they stay in the transaction.
This is because the exit command runs before validation. So how can you know the data is correct?
If you have a button to leave the transaction that isn't an exit command, then you could prompt to save instead. There the choices should be - quit without saving, save and quit, don't quit.
Doing a database update in an exit command is not a good idea.

I had the same error and it turned out to be an issue with the domain name specification. I have a single node install on a computer not on a network. But it had been part of a domain earlier. I took it out of the domain and followed the instructions posted by Srinath Nanduri in his post 'Steps for **SUCCESSFUL** installation of 11.5.9 on Windows' - Steps for **SUCCESSFUL** installation of 11.5.9 on Windows

    Hello Stefan,
you can find the documentation in the current download file. To answer your questions, Argo is a meta search framework using SAP Netweaver components like TREX, SES; KM and others. Argo is also open to connect to other search engines.
You can search on SAP Back end and documents that have been indexed by KM now and we are planning to add additional connectors (desktop / exchange) as well. The Integration into Portal is part of the SAP Netweaver components.

If you recovered only the database ensure that
Database Name and Instance Name remains unchanged.
Listener name and ports is the same
Ensure they all services can start successfully. If not, recreate the services.
If you recovered any other thing other than the database, ensure that you followed the correct recovery procedure for both the database and directory structures
    e.g
Directory names and structures are recreated as before Crash
Oracle and Agent Homes remain the same as before crash
IP Address and Ports remain unchanged
Then restart both the database and db control
In short, the important thing is to keep all all before crash especially for DB Control to work immeiodiately.

  • Need Information on database tables in OIM Schema

    Hi All,
Is there any document/link where can I get all the information on all OIM Schema database tables like obj, orf and so forth information?
    Regards,
    Sunny

    Hi,
Also, you can perform the queries below to get the table names and the name of each field when using the OIM's api. Change the OIMDBUSER value for your OIM's schema name. You'll notice some tables do not have comments, for example, the resource and process form tables (starts with UD). For the ""UD_*" tables, you can get the SDK_DESCRIPTION
<h3>Getting the table names WITHOUT UD_ descriptions</h3>
    *SELECT* t.owner, t.table_name, tc.comments <br>
    *FROM* all_tables t, all_tab_comments tc <br>
    *WHERE* t.owner = 'OIMDBUSER' *AND* tc.table_name = t.table_name
    *ORDER BY* t.table_name
<h3>Getting the table names WITH UD_ descriptions</h3>
    *SELECT* t.owner, t.table_name, NVL(tc.comments, NVL(sdk.sdk_form_description, 'No Comments')) comments <br>
    *FROM* <br>
       all_tables t<br>

    What could be my problem?
How and what can I modify?
Could you tell me the steps to get the database more speed?
    Thanks in advance!

    More easy (Via sql-plus).
1 - grant the role plustrace to user will execute the query, if the role dont´t exist, run the script $ORACLE_HOME\sqlplus\admin\plustrce.sql, with the user sys with sysdba.
2 - connect with the user than will execute the query
3 - set autotrace on (command of sql plus)
    4 - run the query
5 - see the result of execution, attention for full table scan, perhaps need create index for tables.

  • Need help on performing database queries with a general query

    Dear experts,
    I have two issues
    1)
I have developed a software which connects to Oracle database
    performing and executing DDL/DML statements.
I am using a Jdbc thin oracle driver.
When i perform a wrong syntax query or say a query using invalid column.I get exception accordingly. However,I want to know if there is any way by which i can know the exact position where i am making error
just as an asterik(*) comes in sql plus in case of invalid column or so.
    2)
Whenever i minimize software window (made of swing components)
and again maximize it.It takes almost 12 secs to be visible otherwise it remains white. Is swing that much slow ???

    (1) No.
    (2) It's possible to make Swing programs that slow. (I know, I have done it.) But usually the slowness is in application code (your code) and not in Swing itself.

  • Unable to perform database compare

Recently, not since three or four days, we have been facing an issue when trying to compare within visual studio 2013 on a database project. The compare screen loads up but I'm not able to select source or target. Nothing happens if I click the target combo
and select "Select target...". Sa for source. I tried using the menu bar's "SQL" with the compare screen open and tries "Select Target" from there only to be presented with a error message: An item with the same key has already
been added. Same behaviour on source.
We tried reading the logs of visual studio, searched all over internet and got suggestion to update SSDT but thats not really an option as the search results are from 2011/2012 and those update don't exists or apply to VS2013.
    We did more testing:
A stand-alone new solution with new DB projects works fine
Loading our DB project directly into a new solution works fine
    Our full solution 'A' fails.
Other of our solutions 'B' and 'C' also fails
Couldn't find anything in the solution file that could prevent comparing.
    Anyone facing/had similar issues?
    Regards, Hassan Gulzar

    Hi Hassan,
We will have an update for SSDT in VS 2013 early next week for you to install, but this issue doesn't sound familiar.  We did have a schema compare bug where we had odd behavior if you had your DPI set at 125%+, but that was fixed for VS 2013 RTM.
Are you on VS2013 RTM with the SSDT that came as part of that install?
To help us debug, can you please turn on tracing and send me your logs.  jillth @ Microsoft .com
For diagnostic purposes we would like you to gather an event log for the issue that
you are experiencing in SSDT. In order to gather a log and send it to a member
of the team, please follow the steps below.
Open a new command prompt as Administrator.
    Run the following command
    logman create trace -n DacFxDebug -p "Microsoft-SQLServerDataTools" 0x800 -o "%LOCALAPPDATA%\DacFxDebug.etl" -ets
    logman create trace -n SSDTDebug -p "Microsoft-SQLServerDataToolsVS" 0x800 -o "%LOCALAPPDATA%\SSDTDebug.etl" -ets
Run whatever the target/issue scenario is in SSDT.
Go back to the command prompt and run the following commands
    logman stop DacFxDebug -ets
    logman stop SSDTDebug -ets
The resulting ETL files will be located at %LOCALAPPDATA%\SSDTDebug.etl &  %LOCALAPPDATA%\DacFxDebug.etl
and can be navigated to using Windows Explorer.
Please attach this file to an email and send it to the SSDT team member you have been working with
NOTE - These logs will only be used by Microsoft product team members in order to better diagnose the problem you are experiencing with SSDT and
will not be shared elsewhere. If you want to make
sure that there is no private information in your ETL file, the SSDTDebug.etl file can be opened and analyzed using the Windows Event Viewer.
To do this, open the Windows Event Viewer application. In the right-hand panel,
select Open Saved Log. Navigate to the location where you saved the log, open,
and review the contents of the trace.

  • Performing database operations using EJB 3.0

I need to create a session bean that will perform operations on backend database. I am new to EJB 3.0 and need a gentle guidance to the solution
This is what I believe is suppose to be done
    1. Create stateless bean interface marking operations.
    2. Create bean implementation for above
    3. Init stage will require me to connect to the Oracle database. Now am confused how will it get the connection details? Is there a way to extract the url username and password using resource bendle which can be accessed from within bean implementation?
    4. Bean method will perform update, read oprations
    5. Predestroy will close the connection
    6. A client will simply call this ejb with some input parameter(s)
Please let me know if am doing anything wrong here

If you use EJB technology for which it is designed, the container (server) will manage the transaction (and also the connections to the database) for you, so no creation or cleanup of connections on your part. I advise you to read into JPA which is designed to be used in conjunction with EJB tech. The books Enterprise Javabeans 3.0 and Pro EJB 3: the Java Persistence API may help you a lot.

  • Information about databases available through portal?

I am an Oracle Portal novice so please excuse the question. What type of information can I extract from a database using Oracle Portal so that it can be published to the web? I am interested in things such as (to name a few):
    Instance Alias
    Instance Name
    Server
    Port
    DB Version
    SGA Size and Status
    Tablespace information
    Connected Sessions

Most of this information (and more) can be retrieved through the portal immediately. There is a portlet for database information in Portal Admin Pages (portal30.home).
