The latest certified version of JRE which is certified with R12 are:
JRE 1.7.0_25 (7u25)
JRE 1.6.0_51 (6u51)
Deploying JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 393931.1]

  • Which is the last most stable version of Firefox for non-dual-core CPUs? Thanks.

I run a Dell Pentium 4. I found newer versions of Firefox to be deadly slow and extremely unreliable. I find 3.0.19 to be the last most stable version for non-dual core processors. Absolutely no problems. And no endless remoting. However, there is no further safety support for this version. Thus...
Which is the last most stable version of Firefox for older non-dual-core CPUs?
    Many thanks.

Thanks but this isn't what I need. I need a URL that directly downloads with wget so I can automate it. This takes you to a page that contains links. I'd have to scrape the page to find the one I want, and while that isn't impossible it is a huge over-complication for something that should really be pretty simple.

  • What's the fastest and most stable version of FF for OSX 10.6.8?

Latest version 10.0.1 very slow and incomplete graphics on screen

    Hi pacarts,
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You mentioned that Firefox is slow. Have you looked at our [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-slow-or-takes-too-long-start performance troubleshooting section]? There is a lot of good information in there that should help.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • How to downlaod a version of JRE using JNLP

I have an issue which is currently blocking my development. The issue is as follows
There are 5-6 applications launched via Java Web Start. Each application requires different version of JRE for lauching. The JRE version and the download url can be provided in j2se or java tag of jnlp. However the problem is that when download url is provided in jnlp, it downloads and installs the JRE, and also updates the registry.Since the users donot have administrator rights on the machine, installation fails and so does the launch. Second problem is that, we donot want to use Sun JRE but the one thats already customized internally withinn the company.
Is it possible to download the exploded jre and then either provide the path of jre or update deployment.properties in the cache for application to use.
Any help on this topic would be highly appreciated.

    see this link
    https://jdk6.dev.java.net/deployment_advice.html
you can modify some changes in to the javascript file you can download the jre file from your site,

  • Whats the most stable version?

What is the most stable version of iTunes for just playing music? I don't need anything else, bells or whistles. Always getting the beachball of death with 7.6 and I'm fed up.
    thanks in advance

FWIW, I have 7.6.1 running on over 40 systems, most of which are G5s and one of which is my personal system at home and gets extensive use of iTunes, and have had no problems at all. So any problems you might be experiencing with iTunes 7.6 are not endemic to all installations of iTunes on G5s. Perhaps you have some third-party codec, add-on or plugin that might be affecting stability?

  • JRE for IE6

I'm an XP user. When will Sun release a version of JRE for IE6?
A JVM is not bundled with XP's IE6 version. It is supposed
to be installed "on demand", but it doesn't seem to work.
    Anyone got any answers,
    Regards, Sandeep Rajkumar.

Searching the forums for 'IE6' produced 50 hits so you might want to check those. I looked at the first couple - none seemed promising.

  • JRE for x64 OS

    Hello,
Is there any official announcement about the supported version of JRE for x64 OS? When I install JRE1.4.2_29 on my Win 7 x64, it shows a warning message about supported OS. However, after installing the JRE, my java applet works fine.
    Regards,
    Hung

Here is the list of supported platforms for 1.4.2, this is the official document:
    [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/system-configurations-139862.html|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/system-configurations-139862.html]
Java SE versions may work on other platforms that are not listed on a supported configuration document. Supported means supported..... tested, and officially supported by the Oracle support configurations.

  • List of 1.5 JRE's stable version

    Hi,
Can someone give me list of 1.5 JRE's stable version?
    I found following beta version:
    1.5_0_04
    1.5_0_10
    1.5_0_12
    1.5_0_14
    1.5_0_15

Those are not beta versions, but updates to the initial stable version (as far as any software can be considered 'stable' these days).
The latest stable version of Java 5 can be found here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp
Note that Java 6 is available as well (and has been for quite some time): http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

  • What is the exact version of JRE required for Discoverer 10.1.2.2?

    Hello,
I understand that through Application Server Control it is possible to set whether Discoverer Plus should use "Oracle JInitiator" or "Sun Java Plug-in 1.4".
The problem I have is that, due to immoveable restrictions in place on the workstations where Discoverer Plus the will be used, it is not possible for the browser to automatically download and install either the Sun Java Plug-In 1.4 or JInitiator to the end-user's workstation the first time the user tries to access Discoverer Plus.
In this environment, the only way to get either JInitiator or Sun Java Plug-in 1.4 (which I assume just means the Sun JRE) onto the users' workstations is for an administrator to manually install it. So my questions are:
    1) What is the exact version of JInitiator required to run Discoverer Plus 10.1.2.2?
    2) What is the exact version of Sun JRE required to run Discoverer Plus 10.1.2.2?
    3) If the workstations already have another more recent version of Sun JRE installed, is there any way to get Discoverer Plus to use that version?
    Thanks for your help,
    Andy

    Resolved.

Is there a way of loading a stable version of KDE with the debug symbols compiled in ? I use KDE extensively and need a stable working environment however I would like to contribute useful bug reports.
Ability to add debug versions of specific apps would be a nice to have.

If, for example, kwin is crashing, which kde packages need to be rebuilt?
I just tried building & installing kdebase-workspace, but I ended up destroying my kde installation completely and had to uninstall and reinstall every kde package to get it working again.
Would I have to build everything in abs extra/kde*?

  • Which JRE version to compile for?

My project is intended for non-developers, and as much as possible, I want my program to just work, without prompting the user to go find and install the latest this or that.
It looks like current generation of OS X (Leopard) comes with JRE 1.5 installed by default. How about XP? How about Vista?
What version of JRE should I compile my project for, to ensure the least hassle for users?
    -Ron.

    Optimistic but probably unrealistic.
What you normally do is program for the lowest common denominator that you are willing to support.
Windows doesn't come with java. And if you read this site you will find an infinite number of ways for consumers to mess up an install that did work just fine.

  • Version Checking Methods for JRE

    Hi,
I am trying to ascertain how the version checking mechanisms for JRE interoperate. I am aware of 2 methods that Java/JRE uses to check the Client Version JRE
Method 1 – Non Static Version Checking on the JRE Client Side
Method 2 – Class ID Version Checking on the Web Server Side
Q1. If a JRE Client connects to a Web Server that requires a specific version of JRE, then the client pc will be prompted to download that JRE version ?
Q2. However if the client already has a later JRE version installed and Non Static Versioning is enabled on the client, then the later JRE version will be used ? I presume in this case the client is not prompted to download JRE ?
Q3. Alternatively if the appsweb.cfg on the Web Server is using a Family CLSID ( or even a Dynamic CLSID for that matter ) and the Client already has installed a JRE version in that class, again I presume the Client will use this and the client will not be prompted to download JRE ?
Q4. Does anyone know where the latest Class Id’s for the various JRE versions are listed ? Oracle Note 290807.1 seems to list them. However the link it has to the latest JRE version points you to JRE 1.8.0_40, yet the Class Ids that the same note lists, does not go as far as that version ( it seems to only list up to JRE 1.8.0_31 ). I presume you could guess the Clas Id for Update 40, given the entries for the other versions i.e.
    clsid : CAFEEFAC-0018-000-0040-ABCDEFFEBCBA
    sun_plugin_version=1.8.0_40
    Is the above correct ?
    Any advice greatly appreciated,
    Jim

Sounds exactly like a dns timeout issue.

  • Install package for NTFS-3G STABLE Version 2012.1.15

    Hi,
I've had NTFS-3G installed for quite a while in order to be able to read and write to and from NTFS formatted hard disks. I just realized my version is very old and I wanted to install the latest version (NTFS-3G STABLE Version 2012.1.15). When I go to the download page (http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-download/) however I see that the link for the Mac OS X install package
    NTFS-3G for Mac OS X
takes you to an old blog page with an old version of the software. The main link (http://tuxera.com/opensource/ntfs-3g_ntfsprogs-2012.1.15.tgz) takes you to a .tgz file which, when uncompressed, shows the source code with instructions to be compiled within the Linux platform. I have been googling for quite a while and I can't find a .dmg, .pkg or .mpkg install packages for the latest version. Has anybody been able to install this version on a Mac? If so, can you give me a hand to install it myself? Any pointers to a .dmg, .pkg or .mpkg install package would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    JM

But they did in the past. You can find the .dmg files for previous versions. In the official user guide you find the following instructions for installation:
"Installing NTFS-3G is not more complicated than installing any other program, as it uses the standard Mac OS X package format to install itself.
Just double click the package NTFS-3G.pkg and follow instructions. "
As I said before, they also provide a link for the current Mac OS X version of the latest stable build of NTFS-3G, not the Tuxera NTFS (which is their commercial product). The link just happens to take you to an outdated page. This makes me think that there must be some compiled package somewhere.
In case that is not possible, can anybody provide a pointer to instructions on how to compile it from source?
    JM
