Stacked Bar graph with multiple bars

Hi,
I want to have a graph where I will have multiple stacked BARs. Having single stacked bar is OK.
Is there a way to achieve this ? I am using 11.1.1.2 ADF and ADFBC
For Ex:
You have
-TV sales per month for different regions
-DVD sales per month for different regions
I want to have 2 stacked BARs one for TV and one for DVD. X axis will have the date ..
Thanks

From what i understand, i think you are looking Dual Y Bar graph.
For more information, look into this documentation - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e12418/tagdoc/dvt_barGraph.html

  • Convert a scatter graph with multiple data series into individual graphs

    I am trying to convert a scatter graph with multiple data series into individual graphs, with the series having the same formatting as in the graph when all series are together.
    Normally, if I delete any series, the color scheme for all the other series vanishes. I can then waste more time in having to re-adjust the  color and shape of the series, but this is tedious. This, I do not want. Is there an automated way to do this?
    Ideally, of course, all series would appear in little subsections in the space of the former one graph, all with individual axes, but I can't have all, so I'll settle with having several individual new graphs, each with just one series, and with the original
    formatting.
    Thx.

    How about creating a copy of the chart, and then setting all series except one to be transparent (no line, no marker)? Repeat for each series.

  • Bar Graph with multiple series

    I am trying to created some graphs in 10g reports. I want a graph that has 2 bars per group. On the layout tab I have column A and Column B on the bars line and Column C on the groups line. When I run the report Columns A and B show up as 1 bar on the graph. Where do you specify the values for series 1 and series 2?

    Hi,
    When you create a bar chart using a "group by" attribute, the resulting groups are displayed as stacked bars or as dual Y bars (shows the groups side by side).  The button in the chart's toolbar (with stacked bar chart icon) is used to change this presentation. You can display the data as it is, without aggregation, by using the line or scatter charts.  The line/scatter graphs should allow you to display multiple Y values (series), but there appears to be a bug that causes a single line to be displayed instead.  Multiple series bar charts and label renaming are not available in the current release.
    Thanks,
    Marat

    Hi,
    Can anyone please help me.
    1) i have to create stacked column chart with Region and cout of calls for previous 3 quarters.
    2) the 2nd stacked column should display the priority with the count of calls for the respective selection of region on the 1st chart..

    Hi Srinivas,
    I'm using label based menu "filterd rows" only but i couldn't bind the drill down with the 1st stacked column chart.
    for mor details:
    1) i'm having 2 stacked coumn charts & 1 lebel based menu but eventhough i couldn't able to achieve.
    if i select the lebel based values then the 2nd stacked column charts is giving detailed valus but if i keep my mouse on the 1st stacked column chart the there is no changes on the 2nd chart..
    somewhere i'm mising the binding data between 1st stacked coumn chart & lebel based menu on drill down part.
    Becoz i'm having multiple rows. so can you please try your and send me the xlf file using your concept.

  • Reeal-time 3D graph with multiple plots

    Hello,
    I realise this is a very complicated question and I would appreciate any healp anyone could give. I am trying to:
    1- draw a 3D graph with three plots (plots are from coordinates read from XL)
    2- do it in real time, so that only one point from each plot shows at a time (the previous points disappear)
    Can anyone help me out? I looked at Sarah's advice and I got as far as the program that I have attached. I have also attached an XL sheet with random values (actually I didn't have any luck attaching two files).
    I would appreciate any response!
    Thank-you,

    Why do the axis all change and why aren't the points drawn all at once? ALso, is it possible to retain in memory and plot more than one point from each plot at once?
    The axis are changing because you didn't ask for constant scales. Just right-click on the 3D graph indicator and go to CWGraph3D/Properties... There a pop-up window will give you access to a number of settings. Explore. You will find how to allow the user to pan/zoom/rotate the graph, and to disable autoscaling...
    The points are not drawn all at once because you pass them one at a time!!! To plot several points at once, you have to build an array with the proper number of points (initialise first) then you can rotate the array after plotting, and replace the first point at the next iteration.

  • How to draw xy graph with multiple y axis input?

    Hi,
    I have problem in xy graph, the xy graph only can show 1 signal from the y axis input ( As you can see in the attachment )
    Is it possible to draw xy graph with 2 Y input? Or maybe there are another type of graph that possible to do this?
    Note:  the x axis should be from an input too ( not versus time / sample ).
    All answer and advice are welcomed.

    Are you asking for a second Y scale on the graph?
    If so, right click on the existing scale, select "Duplicate Scale". This will create a second scale. You can then (if you wish), right click on the new scale a select "Swap Sides" to put it on the other side of the graph.
    Are you asking about adding a second plot?
    If so then you need to bundle your arrays of X and Y points into clusters and build those into an array:
    The X-axis is always from an input on the XY Graph. You just need to change the axis title. Easiest way to do this is to double click on the axis title and type the new name.

    Hi,
    Yes, there is no build-in chart template that you want. We can only use the Gradient fill to close your request. But, it can't display the multiple series in cumulates chart.
    In my view,
    custom a chart via VBA is also a good workaround. I'm not familiar with VBA, if you have further question, I recommend you post the question to the MSDN forum for Excel

  • Help Creating Dynamic Stacked Column Chart with Multiple Criteria

    Hi all. Im new here and hoping you can help.  I have a dashboard Im trying to rebuild from scratch (our computer had a meltdown and we lost all our files). I did not build the dashboard initially so Im trying to recreate it from the flash file we were able to recover. I have come across a chart that I just cannot figure out how to do.  I can figure out how to write an array in the Excel sheet that pulls the data into a table the way I need it to be but found out after I wrote that that Xcelcius doesn't support arrays so all my data disappears when I go into preview mode (which is especially frustrating since I can see the chart working fine in design mode).  Anyway this is what the data table looks like

    The original chart was built so that you would choose the month from a combo box and then the company names would show up along the X axis with their % amounts shown in the stacked column.  I know how to make a combo box work and I know how to make a stacked column chart work with static data.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to work so that when you choose the month from the combo box it filters the data.  I've tried filtered rows but I'm just missing some information that makes it work and I can't figure out what that information is.  It has to be able to get the month/year combo from the combo box and then go to the table, filter it by month and year and then create a multi-row table of data with just the company and the percent values.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Which connection you are using?
    IF quite difficult if you are working under static data.

  • Plot X-Y graph with multiple y values on same x axis

    Dear all,
      I have written some vi on a small part of my application. Basically, every 20 sec, I will acquire a set of readings (array) consisting of 10 data points known as T1. So at every timestamp, there should be 10 datapoints plotted on the same timestamp. Then 10 sec later, another timestamp with again 10 datapoints. I wanted the data to be plotted and updated every 20 sec and continue till I stop the program. At the end, I hope to see 10 horizontal lines.
      I face some problems now and hope someone can help me on this? The problems are how do I plot the 10 datapoints at every interval of 20 sec. How do I also keep on updating the data? I know I need to build arrays but I am not sure how to do it.
      Someone who knows please kindly help me on this as I have been trying but to no avail.

    Dear All,
    I have tried the program again. But there is still some problems.
    How do i create the time interval of plotting the 10 datapoints every 20 sec interval. Meaning how can i plot 10 datapoints at one timestamp and another 10 datapoints another 20 sec later?  Right now it seems that if i introduce a delay of 2 sec, the graph will be plotted 2x10= 20 sec later. However i want the scan rate to be 20 sec. If i set the delay at 20sec, then i will have to wait for 20x10=200 sec right? Is there a way to make it plot every 20 sec interval interval but not 2 sec scanning rate?
    Right now, the x-y graph will refresh itself after 10 loops. However i also want to keep the previous datapoints (plots) in the previous timestamps also and it should be continuing since i started the program . How do i modify the program as i think i need to use build array function and shift register somewhere.
    Can anyone assist me on that? Thanks!
    Kudos! Thanks!

  • Multiple Links in Stacked Column Graph

    Hi,
    I have created a Stacked Column Graph with following Query
    Select 'http://x.x.x.x:0000/pls/apex/f?p=101:26:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P26_MONTH,
    to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month,
    SUM(S_AMOUNT) SERVICED_AMOUNT,
    SUM(R_AMOUNT) RCPT_AMOUNT,
    SUM(D_AMOUNT) DEBT_AMOUNT from V_MY_VIEW
    group by to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month,
    It displays ok. But I have only one link here. I want to have multiple links so when user clicks on "SERVICED_AMOUNT" on the graph it should go to Page 26, when he clicks on "RCPT_AMOUNT" then Pager 27 And when clicks on "DEBT_AMOUNT " Page 28.
    How can I achieve this?
    Cheers
    Prasad.

    Prasad:
    A multi series column graph will let you specify a separate link for each series.
    The series queries would be
    Series 1
    Select 'http://x.x.x.x:0000/pls/apex/f?p=101:26:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P26_MONTH,
    to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month,
    SUM(S_AMOUNT) SERVICED_AMOUNT,
    from V_MY_VIEW
    group by to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month
    order by 2
    Series 2
    Select 'http://x.x.x.x:0000/pls/apex/f?p=101:28:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P26_MONTH,
    to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month,
    SUM(R_AMOUNT) RCPT_AMOUNT,
    group by to_char(approve_date, 'MM/YYYY') Month
    order by 2
    Series 3

  • Creating a report with multiple Y-axes on one graph

    I currently have a script that will create a report with either 1, 2, or 3 graphs and has the ability to have four graphs per plot.  I would like to add functionality to this script by making the Y-axis on the graphs have multiple Y-axes.  How can I programmatically create a graph with multiple Y-axes?

    To create an new axis system use the command GraphObjNew, eg:
    Call GraphObjNew("2D-Axis","2DAxis1")
    Call GraphObjOpen("2DAxis1")
      D2AxisBackColor = "blue"
    Call GraphObjClose("2DAxis1")
    Call PicUpdate
    If you have DIAdem Version 10 you can also create a new y-axis using GraphObjYAxisNew. This command is not available in versions 9.1:
    Call GraphObjOpen("2DAxis1")
    AxisNo = GraphObjYAxisNew("left")
    If AxisNo>0 Then
      Call GraphObjOpen(D2AxisYObj(AxisNo))
      D2AXISYTXT ="My new axis"
      D2AXISYTXTFONT ="Arial"
      D2AXISYTXTCOLOR ="red"
      Call GraphObjClose(D2AxisYObj(AxisNo))
    End If
    Call GraphObjClose("2DAxis1")

  • Multiplot graph with missing values fills them with zero instead of NaN

    I have a waveform graph with multiple arrays (2D) which has different numbers of points in each array.  LabVIEW finds the array with the most points and then plots all arrays with that many points.  It assigns the missing points a value of zero and displays those zero values.  This means arrays with fewer points than the maximum will have values of zero appear in their plots.  This can be avoided by filling in missing points with NaN.  I am acquiring data in a loop and displaying it which requires continuous determination of the number of actual points and filling in of missing points with NaN.  Not difficult, but this could be avoided if LabVIEW would fill missing points with NaN instead of with zero.  Any way to have this happen automatically ?

  • Using stored parameter from data control class with stacked bar-graph

    Hi folks,
    I'm relatively new to ADF & EJB so I want to apologise in advance if this question seems rudimentary to many of you.
    Edit:  I should have mentioned that I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5
    I'm having a hard time determining how to retrieve the value from a variable to be assigned to a property of the bar graph I'm trying to display on my JSF page.
    I have tried to briefly summarise the logic below for reference.
    I have a data control class (ActivityChart) that includes a method "getActivityDetail" returns a List of custom Objects (ActivityDTO) that are the underlying data for my bar graph.
    public class ActivityChart {
        private Double axisScale;
        public ActivityChart() {
            super();
            axisScale = 0.0;
        public List<ActivityDTO> getActivityDetail(List<String> businessUnits) {
            List<ActivityDTO> returnNewList = new ArrayList<ActivityDTO>();
            List<TransactionDTO> dataList = new ArrayList<TransactionDTO>();
            TransactionSessionBean transBean = lookupTransactionSessionBean();
            if (businessUnits != null && !businessUnits.isEmpty()){
                dataList = transBean.getActivityData(SystemUtil.getCurrentUser(), businessUnits);
                returnNewList = processTransactions(dataList);
                axisScale = calcAxisScale(returnNewList);
            return returnNewList;
    ...The TransactionDTO object is basically a mirror of the entity object to store the fields from the queried db transactions.
    The ActivityDTO object contains a String value (x-axis label) and 3 Double values for the values required for the bar graph.
    What I'm trying to do is dynamically set the scale for the 2 y-axes (I'm using a dual-axis stacked bar graph) because the auto calculated values are not aligned.
    Right now I've got the two relevant elements of the bar graph hard-coded with a specific axis value:
    <dvt:y1Axis axisMaxAutoScaled="false" axisMaxValue="100.0"/>
    <dvt:y2Axis axisMaxAutoScaled="false" axisMaxValue="100.0"/>.
    The value I want to use for the Y-axis is calculated and stored in the "axisScale" variable in the above class.
    Really at a loss of how to move forward from here.
    Would very much appreciate any guidance/direction offered.
    Thanks,
    Karim

    Looks like I may have found the answer!
    I had to set up the variable in the bindings for the page and then reference the variable from the binding and add the property inputValue.
    ie. value="#{bindings.axisScale.inputValue}"

  • Stacked Bar Chart with Multiple Series Sort Question

    Hi,
    Apex version 4.1.1
    I have a stacked bar chart with three separate series, one showing customer effort, another showing project effort and the third showing other effort, summarized by calendar week. The x-axis of the chart is the calendar "week of" date, and the y-axis has a bar for each of the three series. Not every type of effort occurs every week.
    When AnyChart renders the chart, the order of entries on the x-axis seems to be dependent both on which series are present in a given week as well as the "week of" date. Weeks with all three series sort in order by calendar date, followed by weeks where just the 2nd & 3rd series are present, followed by weeks where just the 3rd series is present. See this [url http://tinypic.com/r/b9zdt/6] picture of the chart  noting the "week of" dates. Note that the months go Sep-Oct-Nov-Aug-Oct.
    Is there a way to force AnyChart to sort the x-axis in chronological order regardless of whether there is data for all three series for a given week? I have looked through the AnyChart XML reference but cannot find a way to do this.
    Incidentally, I can solve the sorting problem by combining all three series into a single query:
    select
      null as link,
      week_of as label,
      sum(customer_effort) as "Customer Effort",
      sum(project_effort) as "Project Effort",
      sum(other_effort) as "Training, Admin and Other Effort"
    from ...But if I do this, I cannot figure out how to have each bar on a given week link to a different detail page, e.g., if I click on a bar representing customer effort I want to link to one page, but if I click on a bar representing project effort, I want to link to a different page. I have had a look at the [url http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=36648:59:1570983160946101::NO:::] chart examples  posted on apex.oracle.com, but cannot figure out how to apply to multiple series in a single query.
    Thanks,

    Thanks, Jeff. I did try this but for whatever reason it doesn't make a difference. I think it is because if there's no data for a given series for a certain week, there is no entry in the data set that is sent to AnyChart.
    I was able to get around the issue by "filling in" the missing weeks from each data series. To generate the list of "Week Of" dates for a given date range, I used this code:
    select
         trunc (each_day) as week_of,
         0 as effort
    from (
         select
              (to_date(:p920_start_date,:app_date_format) + 2 - to_char(to_date(:p920_start_date,:app_date_format),'D') - 1) + level each_day
         from dual
         connect by level <= to_date(:p920_end_date,:app_date_format) - to_date(:p920_start_date,:app_date_format) + 1
    where
         to_char (each_day, 'D') = '2'This creates an effort entry of 0 for each week within the date range; I use the Monday date of a week as the "Week Of" date. I then union this with my actual data and summarize by week and viola, I get the weeks in order. This also has the benefit of showing a week for which there are no entries in any of the three series.
    Thanks for taking a look at this.
