Stacked Column Chart (Total and Combination Chart)

Hi,
I tried to find the answer at old posting, but failed to find proper solution.
So here I go again with the same old problems:
1. Any method / trick to display total on top of each stacked column ?
(Label is not an option, since it is static and will not move following the height of the stacked bar).
2. Any method / trick to combine stacked column chart with line chart ?
(Overlay is not an option, because I think it is too tedious to play around with color and border)

Can you get compromised in the following way ?
In the X Axis labels, you can get the values concatenated dynamically and displayed. Example given below:
2008          2009          2010
P180         P250         P280
A172        A263         A265
Whereas P denotes to Plan and A denodes Actuals. Above to this labels stacked colum wil be there as usual.
Consider and revert, in case you need any more clarification on this.

Hello,
For MSS, we would like to display a graphical version of Org Chart. We are not at a stage where we can implement OrgPublisher at this point.
We did configure u201COrganizational Chart Launcheru201D and u201COrganizational Chart Testeru201D iViews in the portal, and they look semi decent.
Our concern is that some old documentation states that these iViews are only are for Test purposes, and not for production! We want to know if we can use these iViews as an interim solution until we move onto OrgPublisher?

I am not sure I can say yes or no to your question, but my advice would be to raise an OSS message with SAP and see what they say. The main thing I would ask is why they are not recommended for production use...?? If you understand why you can make the judgement call whether or not to use them in production (e.g. do they not perform well, what additional load do they cause etc...), with that information you can then decide if it makes sense for you to use them in your situation (e.g. you might have very limited users).

There is no predefined chart to solve ur purpose. Try to sync both the charts and use Manul scaling.

Free Form Template and Combining Chart Values during Runtim

Hi Guys,
Need your expertise on this. We received some unreasonable request for the following:
1. Free Form Template DURING Runtime
- moving charts from one place to another by dragging them from one place to another during runtime
2. Combining of Chart values during Runtime
-to be able to mash-up 2 different charts during runtime. For example, dragging a chart to another chart
would result to a combined-value of chart. For instance, you have a Sales Chart and a Production Chart,
if and when Sales Chart is dragged and placed on top of Production Chart then it would mash-up the values
and will produce only one chart.
Is this even possible?

1. Free form template is not possible with current version of Dashboard Designer. You may use the option of Dynamic Visibility to simulate this. But this might not serve your requirement 100 %.
2. Your requirement of mixing up chart just by dragging and droping on another is coming under Designing part. For designing we need software, in my point of view. Xcelsius is a Tool to generate required output in various formats. Here we need to finalise the output such as chart type/ data to be displayed/ format to be displayed, etc and while viewing we may play with data but not with objects other than dynamic visibility.

Stacked Column Chart with Lines

Requirement:
User stacked Column chart to display data for defects for 4 departments.
1 or 2 lines to show baseline for defects(constant).
Is there anyway that I can do that just like we can create one in Excel?
(stack a Stacked column chart with a line chart is not a solution.)
Any advises?

Hi Wen,
I realise that you are not going to get this to work with a standard component on its own. I think it might be possible to acheive it with overlaying barcharts and combination charts.
My assumption is that you are looking for something that has a stack with 3 separate items in it. Two target lines crossing over the stacked chart.
I will have a look at this to see if I can come up with something. Let me know if this is not your requirement.
No, I don't work for SAP. I think those that do have the SAP logo beside them.

Stacked Bar Combination Chart in Reports

Afternoon
I have a requirement for a chart that is a stacked bar chart chart with the addition of a line chart.
The combination chart allows Bars and Lines, but can't see how to change this to a stacked bar. Is there a setting I can change in the XML?
Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2
Any ideas?

Solved my own problem.
Add graphType="BAR_VERT_STACK" to the "Graph version..." as below:
<Graph version="3.2.0.22" markerDisplayed="false" markerShapeInLegend="false" graphType="BAR_VERT_STACK">
Also ensure the bar series are set to "MT_BAR" and line is set to MT_MARKER

I am using Dashboard 4.0 and combination chart. Earlier in combination chart, we had secondary Y axis and scale numbers on secondary Y axis. When I remove secondary Y axis and scale numbers, 0(min scale) and 1 (max scale) are not going off, they are still in the chart. How to remove them.

Instead of selecting data by Series, select the data by Range and map the data accordingly. Please follow the screen short for your reference.

Add Total to Stacked Column Chart on the top and another important thing is the data are from SharePoint site

If we want to display a total for each column on the top of a stacked chart, we can use a matrix control to display the column total value to work around this issue.

Finally I get it myself:
You need to use graph type as BAR_VERT_STACK2Y and the declare the series that you want to see on the first Y vertical bar as assignedToY2="false" and the ones that you wanr to see on the second Y vertical bar as assignedToY2="true".
In my case I use 4 Series, 2 stack on the first clustured column and 2 stacked on the second (2Y) clustured colum....see below

This capability is not currently available in WebI (though it is available in Crystal). Last fall I submitted this as an enhancement request. It is being tracked under the following enhancement request: ADAPT00676609 u2013 for the stacked bar chart, line graph issue.

Lines and shading on stacked column chart

I have created a waterfall chart using a stacked column chart. I have made Series 1 white so that the bars appear to "float" . So far so good. the issue is that the white bars in the default setting have light shading and lines around the outsides. There seems ot be no way to turn that off. The only solution I found was to change the Theme to ITheme. Then the shading and lines go away and I can change the colours how I want them...but of course that theme is now applied to my whole dashboard and I lose all the nice shading effects on the other elements.
Surely all the themes do is apply formatting that must be possible to do manually...I just cant see any option on a stacked column chart to change the shading or lines round the boxes. I have an example chart I can share if required

Creating a custom chart is not a simple thing (think days, not minutes), and not done within Xcelsius. The group of technologies to do this are referred to as the Xcelsius SDK, there is a dedicated forum on this site here: Flex SDK Development

Chart Web Part - Stacked Column Chart and the Y Field

I am trying to create a stacked chart in Sharepoint.
I am encountering a problem at the "Bind Chart to Data" Step. Retrieval of Data goes without a hitch - all rows and columns are captured and shown, but then when it comes to adding series, the "Y Field" drop down menu only shows one of
my columns. So of course, the final chart only has one data series visible - a normal column chart instead of a stacked one.
What could be the cause of this, and how do I fix it?

Series X-Axis Type: Primary
Series Y-Axis Type: Primary

The Y-field option which appears as
a drop-down menu on the page, does NOT show the option "Oranges". It shows only "Apples" again, and also a blank setting (selecting this also does not cause desired graph to get created).
I want to know HOW to be able to select "Oranges" as the Y-field because I am unable to do so!

Urgent: Combination of stacked bar chart and line chart

Hi,
I have the following request: First I need series depending on the year (no problem) and two stacks for each series (first problem). Now I need two line, line 1 for total of stack 1 and line 2 for total of stack 2. Both lines should have a label showing the difference from one to next series in percent.
Can something like this be done in BI Publisher. I got an excel sheet with such a chart, so it is possible there. Any templates, hints or tipps?
I need this very urgent because it's the main report of my project. So if this is not working I can stop the project and have to find another reporting tool.

I've made again some tests by myself and recognized that there's something strange in the chart.
When I create a stacked bar chart with values of DURATION, labels for TYPE_NAME and series of YEAR the first thing is, that it is not ordered. So how can this be done?
The second error, is hard to explain ...

Different sort order with line chart and stacked column chart

Hi,
I have a problem with sorting within flash charts.
The chart should be ordered by a date column.
If I'm using a line chart everything is fine. The columns in the chart are in the same order as returned by the query.
If I change the chart type to stacked column chart, I get a wrong order.
It is orderd like 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, 4.
What's wrong?

I found the solution.
Anychart seems to have a problem with null values!
The corrupted sorting only occured for a specific set of search criteria and a specific day. At this day some values have been null.
I added a "nvl( [...], 0) for every value.
No I get a correct sort order.
