Stacking different catalyst models, is it possible?

hi,
1. can we stack different models of switches i.e 2950 with 3750 or 2960 with 3750 etc.. ?
2. can we stack Stackwise with Stackwise Plus switches?
3. what is gigastacking? is it something that can be plugged in place of gbic card and help stack switches via this cable?
thanks..

1. can we stack different models of switches i.e 2950 with 3750 or 2960 with 3750 etc.. ?
no, you can not stack 2960s with 3750s.  You can however have different 3750 models in the same stack.
2. can we stack Stackwise with Stackwise Plus switches?
Yes
3. what is gigastacking? is it something that can be plugged in place of gbic card and help stack switches via this cable?

I have to create 2 different data models.. which i have done successfully.... its showing xml data perfectly.. but my problem is i want my 2nd data model to be dependent of 1st model...
when i am designing my template ... i am not able to create a group by report..
i want my report like this ...
------------------------------------------------------------ (fetching data from first data model)
    abc xyz pqrs
--------------------------------now their it must show the data from second data model... dependent on first model...
simply i want to know is it possible to create group above report between to different data models..

    Thanks for your response..
I already tried this.. But its not working ..
i want parent information from data model 1

  • Solaris Cluster with 2 Different Storage Model?

    Hi Experts,
is it possible to use 2 different storage model in Solaris Clusters?
    Thanks,

If you mean two types of storage array, then yes, as long as each of them is supported, then the combination is also supported.

  • Load Balancing Two Different Waas Models

Is it possible to deploy two waas devices having different models? Specifically WAVE-694-K9 and
    WAVE-7541-K9? Thanks

    Hi,
I guess you questions is about having different WAAS models part of the same WCCP farm.
If that is the case, it shouldn't be an issue at all.
The only problem I would see with this is that if you have even load balancing, the less powerful device will be overloaded while there is still capacity on the other device
If you run into this, you might try to play with the WCCP mask to achieve uneven load balancing based on the devices processing powers.

It has a list of the algorithms, which are pretty disappointing, I must say. No Random Forests? No ensembling methods? Given that it's using R algorithms, I must say this is a missed opportunity to beat products like SPSS and SAS at their own game. If SAP were to include this functionality, they would be the only BI vendor capable of having a serious predictive tool integrated with the rest of the platform.... but this looks pretty weak.
I can only hope a later release will remedy this - or maybe the SDK will allow me to create what I need.
As things stand, I could built a random forest using this tool, but I would have to use a lot of hardcoded SQL to make it happen. And if I wanted to go down that road, I could use the algorithms that come with the Microsoft/Oracle software.
    Please let me be wrong........

  • How do you stack different photos in the editor layers pallet

How do you stack different photos in the editor layers pallet? I can get different photos in the editor, but I cannot figure out how to get different photos into the layers pallet at the same time.  Please help!!!!!

Just to clarify, you can never see the layers panel for more than one photo at a time. The suggestions you got will show all the photos, but because they are now combined as layers in one image.
If you want to see more photos in the editor at once, go to the preferences>general and turn on Allow Floating Documents, then go to Window>Images>Float all in windows, then Cascade or Tile.
But you will still only see the layers panel for the image that is active at the moment.

  • ADF mobile: Reuse taskflows for different device models (resolutions) ?

    Hi,
    ADf 11.1.2.3.0 + mobile extension.
What's best practice to create the same mobile app for different device models (= different screen resolutions = different layout)?
I mean an app on a smartphone may use different gui components and layout than on a tablet device.
In adfmf-feature.xml the content of a feature can be either a amx page or a task flow.
Here I can add a constraint to determine e.g. the device.model and use different amx pages depending on the device model.
But how to reuse the task flow (assumtion: the taskflow is independent from the device model) and just create specific amx page per device model?
    regards
    Peter

    Replying to an old thread.
With ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.0, to display different content views for different devices,  it is recommended that we use following property as a constraint on the content of the feature.
    Property
    Operator
    Value
    hardware.screen.diagonalSize
    more
    6
It applies this constraint on the devices which have screen size more than 6 inches. Which is applicable for the tablets.
For more details, look at the HR sample found at the following location in your JDev after installing the ADF Mobile Extension

I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S5 two months ago. I'm still unable to sync or move contacts from the phone into my 2012 Toyota Camry. I've been to the dealership to have them look at my car. It also has been tried in 2 different 2014 models. I don't know if it's a Verizon/Samsung issue but I'm quite upset about it. I would have stayed with the S4 if I had know so many issues were on the horizon. I need a fix. Please help.@

  • Could connect two Nexus 5648 to a stack of Catalyst 3750?

    Good Morning,
Can I connect a two Nexus 5600 (switchs distribution) with switch Catalyst 3750 (switch access)?
I have tried to integrate the Nexus switch in the network as switch distribution, replacing a Catalyst 6500 switch and does not work. Everything is going very slow. Although all the ping function properly.
Is there any incompatibility connect two nexus 5648 to a stack of Catalyst 3750 by VPC?
    Thank you.
    Greetings.

    Hi,
There can be many reasons for the switches not joining the stack like SDM template mismatch.
You may go through the following document:

I assume u guys don't understand what open source software is
Yes, I think most of us do understand what open source software is. It sounds as if you don't. Here's some information:
Open-source software (OSS) is computer software that is available in source code form: the source code and certain other rights normally reserved forcopyright holders are provided under an open-source license that permits users to study, change, improve and at times also to distribute the software.
Open source software is very often developed in a public, collaborative manner. Open-source software is the most prominent example of open-sourcedevelopment and often compared to (technically defined) user-generated content or (legally defined) open content movements.

Yes, Tom Wu of Stanford wrote a paper on something called Secure Remote Access Protocol. It's a form of Asymetric Key Exchange and has nothing to do with hacking anything. It's actually intended to protect data.

  • Sales breakdown of different ipod models?

    hey guys,
does anyone know where i could find info about the sales breakdown of different ipod models in the UK?

    Thank you for your reply.
The ipod shuffle user's manual on page 4 says that "to use ipod shuffle with a windows pc you must have: itunes 5.0 or later (itunes 6.0.5 or later is recommended)".
Her disk comes with an itunes version (or so it says, I haven't got that far as to download it yet). I wondered if it would affect my songs. Thank you for letting me know that it won't.
I'm thinking that maybe installing her software on my computer is not such a good idea since it doesn't have the ability to manually monitor what will be loaded on it. Will all my songs automatically download to hers? (Sorry if I seem dense, but I only know how to run mine & I have mine set to manual control.)
I think we should just install this on her Dad's computer.
Since like I said before I don't know anything about the ipod shuffle.......will her songs all get automatically downloaded or deleted according to what she has in her library on what ever computer we actually install it to? (I hope you understood that, since I'm not sure what to actually ask yet)
As far as the email support........yes I actually did think that after spending over $300 for my ipod and whatever they spent on hers that somewhere on the Apple website that there would be a way to actually ask the company a question and get a simple answer in return. But getting an answer from you knowledgable forum members is probably better than the runaround I would get from Apple anyway. Thanks!!

  • Want to use a different OC4J sometimes is that possible

  • Dhcp from linksys to catalyst Model number: WS-C2950G-24-EI

Should a linksys 4 switch port wireless router be able to DHCP a private IP address to a catalyst 2950 switch?

Does that mean this only applies to the non-mgmt interfaces?
    Understanding DHCP-Based Autoconfiguration
The DHCP provides configuration information to internet hosts and internetworking devices. This
protocol consists of two components: one for delivering configuration parameters from a DHCP server
to a device and one for allocating network addresses to devices. DHCP is built on a client-server model,
where designated DHCP servers allocate network addresses and deliver configuration parameters to
    dynamically configured devices.
With DHCP-based autoconfiguration, your switch (DHCP client) can be automatically configured at
startup with IP address information and a configuration file that it receives during DHCP-based
autoconfiguration. No DHCP client-side configuration is required on your switch.
However, you need to configure the DHCP server for various lease options. You might also need to
configure a TFTP server, a Domain Name System (DNS) server, and possibly a relay device if the servers
are on a different LAN than your switch. A relay device forwards broadcast traffic between two directly
connected LANs. A router does not forward broadcast packets, but it forwards packets based on the
destination IP address in the received packet. DHCP-based autoconfiguration replaces the BOOTP client
    functionality on your switch.
    DHCP Client Request Process
When you boot your switch, the DHCP client can be invoked and automatically request configuration
information from a DHCP server under these conditions:
? The configuration file is not present on the switch.
? The configuration file is present, but the IP address is not specified in it.
? The configuration file is present, the IP address is not specified in it, and the service config global
configuration command is included. This command enables the autoloading of a configuration file
    from a network server.

  • Question about Stacked Chart ... is this possible?

This seems possible but I cannot get APEX to do it, wondering if someone has any ideas:
Say I have a table with multiple records with columns which contain a DATE, PERSON, TEAM ...
I am comparing number of records per team but trying to show in the STACK how each person contributed ...
Lets say there are 5 teams ...
I want to end up with a STACKED BAR chart which shows HOW MANY INSTANCES (count(*)) per TEAM ...
I want to end up with 5 BARs and each subdivided with the number of record instances which each PERSON in that team.
So at the end of the day, we can see how different people contributed to the overall total of a team and we can see how each team fared against one another ...
    Thank you!
    C

You would build a series per team and group on your date value with same aggregate.
Sample series using EMP and DEPT tables.  seen here  Chart Axis
    Series 1
select null link, TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,q') label, count(*) acct
from  "EMP" e natural join "DEPT" d
    where d.dname = 'ACCOUNTING'
    group by TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,q')
    Series 2
select null link,TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,q') label, count(*) sales
from  "EMP" e natural join "DEPT" d
    where d.dname = 'SALES'
    group by TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,q')
    Series 3
select null link, TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,'q') label, count(*) research
from  "EMP" e natural join "DEPT" d
    where d.dname = 'RESEARCH'
    group by TRUNC(e.HIREDATE,q')
