Stage disappears when using selection tool
I'm using Photoshop CS6 Extended and i discover a strange problem in some documents that makes working impossible.
When i use the normal rectangle selection tool in some documents then suddenly all the content of the stage disappears when i release the mouse
It doesn't occur with any document just with some.
Does anyone has discovered the same issue and has an idea how to solve it?
Sorry, i meant canvas..."stage" was influenced by Flash
Posting a Screenshot makes no sense, because you just cant see no content anymore. All the panels are still there, but the canvas suddenly is empty in the moment i release the mouse when i'm using the selection tool.
I'm running Photoshop CS6 Extended on Windows 7 Professional 64Bit with 16GB RAM, 18GB of free disk space on an SSD.
It might be a working memory problem (?!). After closing Chrome (where i had a lot of tabs) and restarting the system, noe everything works fine. The problem is, that it happened a few times with different PSD-documents...

Zoom issue when using selection tool in Photoshop CS5
Hi, i have a macbook pro with a multi touch trackpad. For some reason when i'm using the selection tool and i try zooming in or out using the multi touch track pad nothing happens or sometimes it takes forever for anything to take place. Other times, i have to resort to using the keypad to zoom in or out.

Disable Resize of Image ROIs when using Selection Tool
Using LV2011 with an image control and "selection tool", I programatically create ROIs (Regions of Interest) in the image. The ROIs may need to be adjusted on the image but I don't want them to be able to resize them. Is there a way to disable the user's ability to resize image Regions-of-Interest?
Thanks.Christian - That's right. When the "selector" ROI tool is used for an image, the ROI can be adjusted by resizing or translating. I don't want users to be able to resize but they can translate, if necessary. So in the attached picture, the cross cursor would stay available but the resizing nodes on the ROI would be gone or disabled. Thanks for your help. This problem is not a show-stopper but it would make the program more robust to user errors.

Screen flashes when using selection tool in Photoshop CC
Does anyone know why my Windows PC screen flashes when I try to use the selection tools in Photoshop CC?
Hi - thanks for your comments. It was happening on all of the selection tools however I have solved the problem by changing the 'Advanced Graphics Processor Setting' to 'Basic' in Photoshop CC.

Text keeps disappearing when I select it to make type at all / make changes / edit. Type tool is not working. I am running CS6 on a Macbook Pro Retina (which I am hating!) 10.9.4 - wish I'd never upgraded.

What is going on, when I go to use selection tool the hand tool is coming up and I can't change or work! What is going on?
Both in Adobe Ilustrator CC and CS6. any one else having this issue.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I can't find "warp" option when using lasso tool
Hi. I currently have Photoshop Element 8 (version 8.0). I can't find the "warp" option when using lasso tool. Do I need to upgrade??
You are on the wrong forum, there is a differetn forum for elements.
In Photoshop the warp option is available regardless of whether you have used the lasso tool or not.

Photoshop CS4 "Program Error" when using Text tool
Hello. I was having problems with Photoshop displaying a "Program Error" every so often, so I deleted the preference file and all seemed good. But after deleting the preference file for my Photoshop CS4 and re-launching Photoshop, the text tool causes Photoshop to display a Program Error when using the tool. It never did this before. Should I reinstall Photoshop? I am using a Powermac G5 running 10.5.8. I have already tried repairing the disk permissions.
ThanksThats kinda what I thought too, but the problem started happening randomly. It started when we were trying to use photomerge with large photos. The program just started giving the program errors. I still think it may be a font problem, but without going through my 2000+ fonts and disabling them one by one, how can I resolve this issue?

Photoshop CS5.1 (version 12.1) crashes when using Warp Tool
Hi there,
Our retouchers have started to use Photoshop CS5 and things seems fine overall, but one user got three chrashes and he says it happens when using the Warp Tool. I don't have any more details than that currently.
The computer is the latest generation Mac Pro (mid 2010) with six core 3.33 GHz processor, Mac OS X 10.6.7, ATI RADEON 5870 graphics card.
All current updates for Creative Suite applied.

There's no ”Log Transport” folder to be found for some reason.
On another users computer I find the structure and one crash log, but he gets that crash when trying to save onto an AFP server (seems fine to save locally).
I guess a crash when saving onto a server isn't of much interest since I understand it's only supported to save onto the local drive?
Here comes the log anyway, but like I said this is for crash upon saving onto server. Can't find the ones for crash when using Warp Tool.

Photoshop CS6 crashes when using burn tool, crop tool, and dodge tool?
Just recently upgraded from Photoshop CS5.5 64bit to Photoshop CS6 64 bit. Crashes when using burn tool, crop tool, or dodge tool? Thanks for your help!

Cursor disappears when using Photoshop, anyone else?
My cursor disappears when using Photoshop, I have to leave the program to get it back. Happens constantly since installing 10.8.3.
Was fine for years, until I upgraded my OSNEW, 1ST TIME POST
I'd like to see some real effort on the part of Apple to 1) address the issue and 2) post a fix.
I've been using the same equipment for several years (27" iMac and a Wacom Intous4). Everything was lovely until 'upgrading' to the latest OS… The cursor dissappears at will. I can NOT predict the event, only that I have only found it occurring in Photoshop.
Contacted Wacom. No help there.
I got VERY tired of having to close PS to get the cursor back. My tablet is hard-wired and my keyboard is an Apple wireless. Of course, w/o a cursor, how are you going to click on anything… Keyboard worked, but not the Wacom. Finally got out my wireless [Apple] mouse, fired it up, and used it as a 'backup' (for crashing my way out of PS). The mouse never interferred with operation. THOUGHT it was a Wacom problem, because I've yet to create the event with a normal mouse. I admit I rarely, RARELY use a mouse. Seems that I can't draw with a rock…
Aggravated by the lack of interest across the board, I discovered quite by accident one day a work-around: flip to a different desktop and then right back. Voila. Cursor is back. I've got 4 desktops available, so it is a quick CTL + arrow. My work-around works for me WITHOUT FAIL. Pay attention Apple/Adobe/Wacom. Apparently something here is refreshing whatever and solving the problem. Until the next time, of course.
Apple - Adobe - Wacom, please don't think we're 'satisfied' and we'll fix it in the NEXT mulit-thousand dollar computer/OS/tablet purchase. I love the products, but with this latest OS, you have a perfect storm of bugs (don't ask me about dropping the Internet DAILEY, s-l-o-w to non-existent blutooth connectivity, new 3D weird actions or [insert drumroll] 'THE CLOUD').
Call any of those listed and get ready for a raft of denial and finger-pointing. I admit, you quickly find yourself somewhere like the Phillipines or India, trying to talk to someone who can't converse with you in you own language, but that is NOT the fault of us, the end-users.
Finally: 'Caps lock'? Please. Give the guy SOME credit. Maybe the light was burnt out on the keyboard?
C'mon. Get with it guys!! Denial mixed with 'passing the buck' is not an answer. And you want MORE MONEY out of me?????

PS CS6 froze when using smudge tool. Will I lose my edit?
PS CS6 froze when using smudge tool. Will I lose my edit? Is there any way to get it to respond without a force quit?
And how can I avoid having PS stop responding every time I am using the smudge tool?
I shut down all other applications, browsers, etc, but it did not help.

Pages disappear when using xoffset
Can anyone tell me why my pages disappear when using "crop pages xoffset" in Acrobat Pro XI? It works fine in Acrobat Pro 9.
The system has 4GB of memory. The processor is Intel Core i5 - 2400.
As per your suggestion, I updated the driver for the integrated graphics
card (Intel Graphics HD 2000). The new driver is dated January 2014. The
old driver was dated June 2011.
I tried to replicate the blank pages situation, and none went blank. Will
continue to test over the next week or so, but this looks very promising.

Another said almost the same thing but to check off the Open GL tab... also didn't work... I am at a loss... Can you or anyone else for that matter, help?
