StageTextInputSkin press android ICS back button while in textinput without softkeyboard closes app

Try this on an android 4.0 device.
Put a StageTextInputSkin TextInput (same issue with stagetextarea).
Click it to activate the softkeyboard. Click the back button which will minimize the softkeyboard. Click the back button again and it will close the app.
does anyone know how to prevent the app from closing?

I've same problem in iPhone 5c. I was using iPhone 4, problem appears after updating to ios7. I changed my phone to iPhone 5c, looks like it's a bug in ios7. But I think you might not turn on or off your internet connection frequently to reduce this problem. My friend has a same iPhone she never gets such problem like this cause she uses iPhone 5c with Tata Docomo (India) 2g with no internet connection. May be this would be the best solve that you should not turn on or of your internet connection so frequently...

When pressing on the home button the applications do not always close.

Sometimes...not every time, when I try to close an application the home button does not work. I need to press it several times and other times it responds immediately. Any ideas what is wrong?

This is not how you close an app. this is the method that you employ to return to the home screen.
Try this for a home button that is misbehaving. Close all apps and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
That is how you close apps.
If the home button still misbehaves, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Blank screen while pressing "Cancel" or "Back" button in Portal

Hi Experts,
We have a peculiar problem.
The user is trying to access time levelling report (which is a
iView) in MSS.
The user is getting the output of the report. When the user tries to press "back button" from the output screen (which is a SAP Transaction iView) the user is getting blank screen insted of report input screen.
Please suggest me some hints to resolve this.

I was calling details screen( screen called from ALV) using call screen in double click event. I changed this to SET SCREEN 110.LEAVE SCREEN. Now my back button in ALV screen started working as expected.

Firefox crashes upon hitting the back button while looking at email in Outlook.

When I am looking at my email I crash almost every other time I hit the back button trying to go back to my list of emails on Outlook. I don't crash when hitting the back button on any other sites that I recall.

i was surfing the net and i must of done something because i no longer have the back and forward button on the top left of the screen. How do i get them back

Try pressing Command+I while in safari- or go to "View"-> "Show Toolbar"

How to press "Call" or "Send" button while you're talking??

Normally, cell phones have a "Call" or "Send" button outside the screen. So you when you're talking to someone, you'll be able press "Call" button. For example, I called a company and they needed me to press the number xxxxxxxxxxx and press "Send" or "Call" to send the data I just typed from my phone.
But I don't know how to do this with iPhone? Any idea how to do it?

When on a call, tap the keypad button. The DTMF tones are generated in real-time (as you tap the numbers) so there's no need to 'send' them after entering them. This is how I enter teleconference PINs, etc., routinely. You may need to slow down your entry a bit.

Pressed "Run New installation" button while installation

Hello Experts,
     I faced this issue one time that when i re-started the installation (had to stopped due to one error), accidentally clicked on "New installation" (By default this option is enabled) button which comes to first phage and took me again 2 days to complete the installation. I stopped that installation instantly but failed, gone to fresh installation.
Now my query is, Can we go for old installation, at what phage it was stopped earlier ?
I know it will help for so many persons.. Waiting for your valuable replays...

Android Back Button when FLVPlayback component in full screen

I'm launching an FLVPlayback component in to full screen by setting fullScreenTakeOver = true and setting StageDisplayState to FULL_SCREEN in an air for android app. This works fine. The video plays in full screen
But when I press the device Back button, it quits out of the app.
Everywhere else in the app I can catch the key_down event and do preventDefault(), stopImmediatePropogation(), but the event doesn't seem to fire when FLVPlayback is in full screen.
I've tried adding the Key_Down event listener to NativeApplication.nativeApplication, to stage and to the FLVPlayback component itself. None of these seem to work.
I do, however, get the correct behaviour when I test the app in Flash IDEs simulator

Flex 4.6 Mobile- soft keyboard and andorid back button

Forgive me as I posted this question in another thread but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention.
When using Flex 4.6 on Android I've noticed an undesired behavior related to the soft keyboard.
When the soft keyboard is open and you press the hardware back button two things happen:
First, the keyboard closes.
Then, if you're on a secondary view you get a pop view or if you're on the home view the app closes.
I've been trying to solve this by overriding the hardware back button but have yet to come up with anything that works. It seems most of the posted solutions are for older versions of Flex and don't seem to work in 4.6
Both of my phones I'm testing this on are HTC's incase this is hardware specific.

On certain websites, my own, that use flash the pages do not work if you use the back button in the browser. They have to be refreshed before any of the links will work again. Very frustrating.

When I am browsing my own sites (2 of them) which are built in Flash, everything is fine following the links on the pages. But if I hit the back button in the browser, the pages freeze up and none of the links work anymore. If I refresh the page, then the links work fine.
This does not happen on Safari as after pressing the browser back button, all is well.

Dear jscher2000, thank you for your response! I'm running 16.01 version, so the 3.6.20 version isn't the correct one. I've updated it yesterday.
I also have to mention that today everything seems to work just fine! :) I don't experience the problems anymore and all links work again just normally, eventhough I'm logged into Facebook account. Maybe it was just a temporary bug.
I couldn't say what was the reason to that solution, but I'm glad there aren't problems anymore with Mozilla.

Back Button

In my Acrobat document I have buttons at the bottom to clear the form, and to print the form, but I would like one to "Press the browsers back button"
since all the forms display in the browser window, when a client is done with a form I want to make a button that says "Return to the forms Page" Now I know I can easily make a button open a webpage, this works but here is my problem;
There is two ways to get to the same document, and I want them to "go back" to the menu they were at before they opened the pdf document. If not I'll have to have multiple pdf documents with different "Go Back" www linked buttons, Which is way not desirable.
Is there a way to have a button perform the "Back" Brower feature from a pdf displayed in a Brower window?
I'm using Acrobat Pro 6.0, and Internet Explorer 7.

Well, yeah, when you click the button then this code will run:

l.setVisible(true);And presumably that causes the new login frame to appear. So if you don't want that code to be executed, don't put it there.
If your only goal is to not have the new login frame appear, then just remove those two lines of code and the method won't do anything at all. If you have a more complex goal, like you want the login frame to appear only sometimes, based on certain conditions, then change that code to incorporate those conditions.
Sorry if that sounds vague -- all we know about your system is that it contains two lines of code which you don't like.

Trap back button processing and exit transaction and re-enter program.

I wonder if one of you guru's can help me. We seem to be getting loads of short dumps and I have been assigned the task of looking into it. Basically we have a program that the user runs (transaction FBL5N - Program is RFITEMAR).
When the user executes the program he/she will be presented with a list of customer line item display they then select the items they want to view and press the display icon that gives a more detailed view.
When they press the back button it goes back to the list and they are able to select another item and repeat the above process.
My task is to trap the back button from the deatail screen (the last screen) and after trapping the back button I need to completely exit out of the transaction and then go back in at the point that they were at prior to going into the detailed screen.
This is required as we think everytime the user displays the detail screen the system is grabbing memomry and not relinquishing it.
