If it's no longer under warranty you can remove the screen with a small suction cup. It is held on by some small magnets and has aligning pins to keep it centered but you can take it off. YouTube has videos, google them

I installed an airport express, on my mac book i can use the airplay using iTunes, but on my iPhone en ipad the icon for airplay not appears on the screan when i start the music player.
Chances are, you have already tried this and already know the answer.
But, if not....sorry, but no......since your printer is not AirPrint compatible, you must use the extra software workaround in the Mac.
A newer AirPrint printer would allow you to do what you want. -

I just buyed a apple macbook pro two days ago. I was just normally cleaning with a solution (acidic i have no clue), then i started to notice white stains on the cover of my macbook. I tried everything hot water, toothpaste,another solution etc but it would not go. Am so confused i called the apple care as am in india now they told me i have to change the whole cover or lid or whatever !!!!! I just do not get it !!!! Please if anyone had the same problem plzzz help me out. i love my mac i just bought it and now this . If you know an alternate to this plzz tell me!!!!!!You Ruined It forget it......................keep it safe in future and to be truthfull your mac would be old one day and its normal even if u handel it with care some or the other day something is going to happen .....yours is normal but there are many others who have big problems then yours just forget it and move on and Do take CARE AND USE YOUR BRAINS AND DONT USE STUFF LIKE TOOTHPASTE OR ANYOTHER IN FUTURE...

It won't show up on your Apple TV until it is fully downloaded into iTunes on your computer, have you done this.

New Mac Pro with 8800GT screan tearing in OpenGL.
Hi all,
I received my new Mac Pro on Thursday and have since done a clean install and updated everything as per the latest software updates. I've also installed Maya 2008, Blender and Silo (All 3D applications) and have notic ed bery bad screen tearing while rotating objects in viewports. This happens in all the apps and so I think it's either an OS thing or hardware. The same happens in Maya 8.5 and the trial version of Maya 2009...I bought the machine specifically for 3D animation and motion graphics, this tearing just won't do!!!
I've tried WOW and that runs fine, BUT, only with Vertical Sync enabled. Is there any way I can get rid of the screen tearingin my apps? Is this a graphics driver bug? I've tried the "Beam Sync" utility but that doesn't do a thing! Otherwise all desktop related graphics is fine!

JacquesPort two does the same thing.
I've now narrowed it down to the nVIDIA drivers in OS X.
Windows XP - Works 100%
Ubuntu 8.10 - Works 100%
Fedora F10 - Works 100%
OS X - DOES NOT WORK!
So, how come Apple can't support their own gear?!?!
Am thinking of buying another SATA drive and running Maya on Fedore F10, at least the drivers work and I won't have to worry about Virii, worms / trojans. -
UGHHH again, 6th time Mac fails me ..... and best buy charges me so they can "inspect it".
well the previous times 4/6 were do to manufacturing defects, the last 2 were due to the screen messing up.
now after i had this for a month, the fan makes a noise like it hits something inside and the screen leaves a purple "stain" on the screen when watching movies and playing games, it goes away after it a few hours.
but really, i went there to get it repaired and the guy said he has to charge me 60$ to look at it, and then send it to apple.
im like really, a month or two old computer and it breaks down ? and I have to pay!!! .... so im going to go complain, im going to either get my computer fixed for free or i want to return my MAC for store credit so i can purchase another laptop.... like i had it up to here with there snotty people, there attitude towards me was NOT deserved. One worker told me " well if it works fine its not worth fixing" im like ???? " seriously, i paid good money for it and i dont want ink marks on my screen when it gets "warm" "If it is undetermined to be a software or hardware issue then they are authorized to charge a diagnostic and then refund it after they verify the warranty covers it.
Similar to how car repairs work.
Beyond that I do not know the exact $60 is except for maybe sending it out to service, but if it is under a warranty normally there isn't a charge for that.
If it is after the 14 days it is unlikely that they will be willing to do a return outside of the 14 days since they will eat the cost of the laptop. And, based on industry average gross margins they would have to sell 10+ laptops to make up for that single one they ate...

Downloaded the Photoshop CC trial app and have spent hours trying to get the darn app to work... it launches for a second or two and than stalls in its tracks and just quits.
I've tried all the usual Mac troubleshooting steps, plus all that I could find on net (signing out, quiting the CC app, and than trying again)... same results! PS CC just will NOT launch long enough for me to even try anything. Maddening!!!
I have PS CS6 which works without a hitch. I'm at a loss for what else to try. Even went as far as reinstalling the OS (10.8.4). All to no avail. Anybody got any ideas?
New 3.4 GHz, 27in iMac... 32 gb memory, 3 TB Harddrive with 256Gb Fusion drive... Nvidia Geforce GTX 680MX.

I recently installed all the of CC 2014 applications and noticed that in Photoshop CC 2014, when I choose the "Browse in Bridge" menu option it doesn't launch Bridge at all. Instead it opens the Creative Cloud desktop application window instead. I have the latest version of Bridge installed as well. If I have Bridge running, the menu option also just opens the CC window and doesn't bring Bridge to the front either. I have PS installed on both a Mac (10.9.3) and Windows (8.1) and the behaviour is the same.
I only Run windows and my install of CC 2014 works correctly and launches Bridge CC. Bridge CC was also updated to launch CC 2014 and not CC 14.2.1.

How to Clean Ink Stains on HP 3050 All-in-One J610 series
Hello -
I have an HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One J610 series printer. I am a Mac User and am getting notifications with each document I print that I need to "Clean Ink Stains on Printer". I have put brand new black and tricolor HP ink cartridges, but I am still getting some faded streaks in the documents I print. I think the "ink stains" are specifically on the printer and not related to the ink cartridges, since I have put new ones in and the situation has not been resolved.
Do you have a video or step by step instructions on how to clean these ink stains on the printer so I no longer have faded sections when I print? My ink cartidges are full and new. I have had this printer for 3.5 years and have never seen this notification, nor have I ever cleaned the inside of the printer.

Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader with Camera Raw 9 on MAC OS 10.9.5
I just updated to Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 on 4/28/2015. MAC OS 10.9.5 with PSCS 6 extended.
When I insert my CF memory card to download images, only icons appear. Images were there last week when CR 8.8 was installed.
Also note, Convert to DNG is greyed out. No option to convert to DNG on the download.
I tried to locate the Camera Raw.plugin file, but can not find it. It is no longer in the Application folder/Adobe Photoshop CS6/File Format folder.
Also tried to locate Camera Raw.plugin 8.8 on Adobe's site, it takes you to Camera Raw 9.0.
I just need the Camera Raw.plugin file and where to place the file. Need to remove Camera Raw 9.0.

The CS6 Creative Suite was a complete disappointment. Everything is extremely slow and not even usuable... Thank god I still have CS4 on my machine, but when will this be fixed???? Im not the only one and honestly im to the point where I want my money back ...
Did adobe even test this out? It letterally takes minutes to open a small JPG file then even more mintues to type one word on it...

Different Selections from same logical procedure (Mac OS 10.6.8)
Hello!
I encountered something that really made me think, but it feels wrong.
Example:
Create or open a document.
Create a horizontal guide by dragging it from the ruler.
Snap to guides must now be enabled.
Now use the marquee tool to select the upper half of the picture, with the bottom of the selection snapping to the guide.
Result:
Some times it happens that the resulting selection is different than the (logically) same selection made from the lower half of the picture to the guide and then inverted.
Effectively this means sometimes when I use a snapping guide as the limit of a selection from one direction it is not border-to-border with one drawn from the other side. Then a line of one pixel height 'behind' the guide is not selected by either one of these procedures.
Expected Result:
When the guide (which should have no width or height at all) forms the border of a selection from one side, it should be the inverse of a selection touching the guide from the other side.
Sorry this is hard to explain, do you understand what I mean?

Here is how my print settings looked when clicking on "print settings" in the Adobe print dialogue box:
I had opened this up and clicked "save", which did not fix the problem.
Then, this is how the Color Management settings looked:
Changing the Color Handling from "Printer Manages Colors" to "PhotoShop Manages Colors" removes the 2nd print dialogue BUT:
It is not maintained unless you save the document you are working on
It is unique to each document and each new document defaults to "Printer Manages Colors"
I do not see a way to globally change this default

Bug? Zooming out via key shortcut won't stop when zooming out (Mac OS 10.7.3)
Hey,
while I created a new document, I started to zoom in/out particular areas of the images using the key shortkuts <space>+<cmd> for zooming in and <space>+<cmd>+<alt> for zooming out of an area.
While this works fine in my Photoshop CS5, it troubbles in CS6:
Once I want to zoom out (via <space>+<cmd>+<alt> and a left-mouseclick), the zooming won't stop until it reached the smallest zoom level, instead of zooming out just a step. It however works, while I zoom in (via <space>+<cmd> and a left-mouseclick).
I'm so used to this shortcut since a cupple of versions now (it also works in other programms as well) and it is realy annoying.
It also happens that when I press <space> and another key (e.g. to zoom in/out) that Photoshop CS6 does sometimes not release the hand-tool, that I use to move the canvas via holing <space> and left-mouse down. Pressing <space> again solve this. However, I would exspect the hand-/move-tool only to work while <space> is pressed.

No, works fine. Although its not the best alternative, because my method allows to "specify" the zooming region (due to the mouse position)

I did do a reset, but it didn't influence the "bad" behavior.

None that I know of. Couldn't find any. But if so, shouldn't it affect the zooming in as well (which isn't the case)?

I tried both: enabled it causes the mentioned "error" behavior. Disabled the zoom out stops but its remarkably unresponsive: Once I use the key combination and click the left-mouse-btn it takes seconds before the zoom out happes; the process _feels_ quite long.

CC 7.1: Ridiculous render times since upgrading to mavericks

3 issues after trying everything posted here. Issue 1) Garageband 4.1.2 quits every time I try to open it as a new project. The only workaround I found is to take one of the demo songs, open it, strip out all the tracks, then save it as a "Template"
