Stale Shares on FTP; can't connect to new ones
In my original setup of shares, I missed one that I wanted (the directory with the websites) and I had one I no longer needed. So when I logged into the server with FTP, I noticed that that I was missing the share and had the old one that I didn't need.
So, in Server Admin I dropped the old share (in AFP and FTP) and added the new one. I restarted FTP. However, logging into FTP showed me the old list of shares and not the new one. So I rebooted the server. Still the same thing.
It's like FTP is not looking at the shares set up in Share Points in the FTP config in Server Admin. Any ideas? Do I need to update something else so that FTP users pick up the shares identified in Server Admin?
Is there any device limit the new router can accept to go to the internet?
I don't know if that is your case, but some ISP restrict by contract to a certain number of devices been able to use internet connection.

Can't connect more than one device.
I just bought an Airport Express 2 gen from a friend and I have two issues: I tried to reset it to factory settings and could not do it. Tried holding the reset button for 10 secs, unplugging and plugging back in while holding the reset button, holding the button for a longer time and nothing worked. I had no choice but to create another network. Once created, I can't connect more than one device. If I have my MacAir hooked up the network and I try to get my Ipad in, the minute I type the network pass in my Ipad, a screen pops up where I have to log in with my internet provider account. When I do that, it will connect, but my MacAir will disconnect automatically.

A Factory Default Reset is now the same as what was previously known as a "Hard Reset".
Power up the AirPort Express and let it run a few minutes.
Hold in the reset button on the Express for 10 seconds
Release the reset button and allow a full minute for the Express to restart to a slow, blinking amber light
If the Express is operating correctly, it will be back to factory default settings at this time.
If you try the reset a few times and the Express will not return to default settings, the Express is defective. -

Do the usual wireless things.
Change the wireless name to simple name with only alphanumerics and no spaces.
Set to manual and use channels 1, 6, 11 in turn.
For testing take off the security altogether.
The iphone only works on 2.4ghz so only that band is relevant. -

I'm not sure where you're located, but in this country you're not allowed to send your own transcripts to colleges. And you're not allowed to file taxes by fax (because they need to be machine readable). But we can do most of it online, unless it's highly complex.
I read an article that if you're looking for a job in high technology and your resume has a fax number on it, employers almost always automatically reject you.
Anyways, I wasn't criticizing, I was just saying that giving you an alternative to an expensive solution.

I have two different iPods. How do I connect the new one to iTunes?
I now have two iPods - a 30GB iPod I purchased about a year and a half ago which plays music, Audible books, and has photos slide show capability plus color screen. Yesterday I collected enough credit card points to afford the new 5th Generation iPod. Yeah, I'm an iPod addict. I wanted the video capability. So now I have it. My question is:
Do I have to download iTunes again, or can I connect my new iPod to the iTunes that I have been using for my other iPod? I can't find the answer to this question anywhere. Also:

Frankly just about any headset with the proper size connection will likely work. We like ear buds with soft coverings so even when we get a hard headset with a player we swap them out. While Apple might just possibly give you a set for free since they are not an expensive item, loss is not covered by warranty. If you're a long drive from an Apple Store it might cost you more in fuel and vehicle wear and tear than going to a local store and buying a comfortable replacement.

Is the computer yours, and are you the Administrator or a user with administrator rights? Are you allowed to install software on the computer?
Check your "purchased" list. Pages should show there, and if it's not installed it should read "install" next to it.
Have you tried another mac? You can install the purchased software on another Mac by using your AppleID that you purchased the software with on the first mac.

AIf the iPod broke because of a defect then yes, Apple will replace the iPod if it is within the warranty period. A broken/cracked screen is not covered. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange your iPod at no cost if it has a broken/cracked screen.
