Stamp and Typewriter tool gone after 9.5.2 update??

Where did the stamp and typewriter tool go when I updated to Acrobat 9.5.2??

I found that the Typewriter tool only appears on the Tools menu if the PDF you have open allows it.
With some PDF forms I open, the Typewriter is missing from the Tools, but when I switch to a different PDF it reappears.
There must be a permissions setting in each PDF that disables/enables the Typewriter tool.

Sounds like all the settings that you may have adjusted to save power (screen brightness etc etc) have been defaulted back to factory.
If you jump into all the settings and turn off what you dont need and turn down what you do need it will be the same as before.

TV, Movie, and Podcast Favorites Gone after Update?

Has anyone else noticed their "Favorites" gone after updating to the latest software? I did also unplug and do some traveling over the weekend so I'm not sure what exactly caused it but I had to add all my favorites again. I suspect the update did it. Did this happen to anyone else?

All my apps and music are gone after i updated to 5.0.1

i did back up my ipodtouch before i updated it. all my musics and apps are gone and only thing it backed up is my pics, contacts, and some other stuff. is there anyway i can get my apps and musics back?

iCloud backup or iTunes backup?
Also, two suggestions for next time:
Software updates can be done right from your device, under Settings > General > Software Update if you have iOS 5 or later. This usually prevents a lot of problems users typically run in to when updating in iTunes.
When updating in iTunes, even though your restore may seem complete, it is still restoring your apps, music, etc. Please be sure that it is absolutely complete before unplugging.

Music and Videos are gone after charging Ipod Touch 4th gen battery

The battery had completly died on my Ipod touch. Once it was fully charged, I unplugged it from the wall and turned it on, but all of my videos and music were gone!! However, my apps and photos were still there as well as my settings. What caused this?

Yes it did come 70% charged but I charged it, then drained it to charge it from 0% to 100%
the problem is from 0% it took 1 hour and 4 minutes 43 seconds to be fully charged to 100%
This doesn't seem normal as apple says it takes 4 hours.

Norton and Comcast tool bars were disabled when I updated to Firefox v4. When will this be fixed?

After installing Firefox v4 my Comcast and Norton tool bars were disabled, Firefox could not find an update and deemed them not compatible with v4. Do you have any information on getting this corrected. Right now I have no protection from Norton when using the internet via Firefox.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
You will need to contact Comcast about their plans to make their toolbar compatible with Firefox 4.
If you want to downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Main in inbox and sent folder gone after recreating mail account in prefs

I called my ISP when I was getting outgoing mail server error messages. Their tech person said that I had to recreate that email account. They had me delete the existing account then basically make the account again. Expletives deleted. The result for this brilliant advice was that all the mail in my inbox (800 messages) and sent mail copies (maybe 4000 messages) is gone. Apparently over written by a new account with the same name as the old one. I didn't expect that the mail messages themselves would be removed, just the account settings. Is there any sort of trash place that I might be able to recover them from? I've checked the obvious places in myuseraccount>library>mail.

Your ISP gave you some not so good advice without being familiar with the Mail.app account and associated mailbox filing structure at the Finder level. Not good news but don't shoot the messenger.
Before deleting an account in Tiger Mail, the following warning message is provided:
Are you sure you want to remove the (account type here) account “XXXXXXXXXX”?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Copies of messages on the mail server, if they exist, are not affected.
This is usually ignored or not completely understood but is based on the Mail.app filing structure so now the long winded answer for the reason.
Many other email clients utilize a single large database which is not dependent on individual account and associated mailbox filing.
When creating an account in Mail, an account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) is created in the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail using the Finder.
For POP type accounts, the following mailbox (mbox) folders are created within the account named folder when the function is used by the account: INBOX.mbox, Drafts.mbox, Sent Messages.mbox, Deleted Messages.mbox and Junk.mbox (when Junk mail is set to automatic). The mbox folders within the account named folder represent the account named mailboxes under In, Drafts, Sent, Trash and Junk (when Junk mail is set to automatic) in the Mail.app mailboxes drawer.
When deleting an account in Mail, the account named folder at Home > Library > Mail is deleted at that time and as the warning message indicates, the associated account mailboxes within the account named folder are also deleted. You must select OK after the warning message appears.
It would be preferable for the account named folder to be moved to the hard drive Trash can which requires an additional step to delete but this is not what occurs.
To have any hope of recovering your data, you need to immediately stop using your system and then purchase a copy of a recovery tool such as Tech Tool Pro (Micromat) or Data Rescue (Prosoft Engineering), both of which have data recovery tools. I've not used Data Rescue, but I've seen reports that it recovers files that the others cannot, so it might be your best hope. The chances generally aren't really good even so, but short of sending your drive to a data recovery service (expensive), such utilities are your only hope.
Note that the more you use your system before you attempt recovery, the more likely it is that the system will overwrite the sections of the drive where the data you want to recover is stored, rendering it unrecoverable by any means. You should therefore stop using the system completely until you get and try to use one of the file recovery tools.
This also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a regular backup of the Mail folder and other important data.

IMovie and Garage Band gone after Mountain Lion upgrade.

I upgraded my OS to Mountain Lion by buying it in the itunes store and uploading it. Now, imovie and garage band are gone. I have nothing in My Purchases, as these came with my mac when I bought it, and I don't think I have a cd. Can I get these back without buying new?

As shldr said, iLife applications (iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand, iDVD and iWeb) came preinstalled on your Mac, so if you made a clean install of Mac OS X, they were deleted because Mac OS X doesn't include iLife apps.
In order to install the iLife applications again, you need the Applications DVD that came with your Mac, so insert it and follow the steps to install your iLife applications. If you haven't got the DVD, call Apple to get replacement DVDs > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 After installing the applications, open Apple menu > Software Update to install the most recent version

My app store, setting, music, message,... and games are gone after jailbroke

Okay so this is my first time jailbroke with redsnow and my Ipod is 5.1 and now all my apps are gone (app stored, setting, music,...) and my games are all died! I tried to restore, update with Itunes and prayed over and over that i will never jailbroke my device again and guess what...it didn't work =______= All it said is: "The Ipod cannot be restored at this time because the Ipod software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable." O___O
And when i tried to search a song in my music it said: "This URL wasn't loaded: search://com.apple.mobileipod/6/3790773054635310405" O___O so i tried to look for that link on my laptop and search in ipod (my safari is gone too) but it's just nothing Ó______Ò

Jailbreaking causes problems such as this. Avoid jailbreaking at all costs. Restore in Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and do not jailbreak. It is a violation of Apple terms of use because you are hacking their software and it just causes problems. Also, your warranty has been voided.

Inbox and sent mail gone after re-entering account settings in preferences

Tech support for my provider had me delete and re-enter my account settings in preferences as I was unable to send or receive mail. It wiped out my inbox and sent mail (smart mailboxes and archive folders are fine) I tried to import the mailboxes in the mail folder in the library, but these were created when I re-entered my information and were empty. AND I was in the process of reformatting the time machine drive so my backup were lost. Duh. I did a global search for "inbox" but nothing is coming up and tech support at comcast was at a loss. Any ideas where these messages could have gone? I verified my HD, as was recommended, and it is fine. Thanks!

All apps and purchased upgrades gone after upgrading to iOS5.

Well, Apple, you've really Microsoft-ed this iOS5 upgrade.
After upgrading iTunes, then my iPad to iOS5, I lost all the apps and app data from the iPad.
I restored the apps by clicking on all of them in iTunes and Syncing iTunes and the iPad.
This probably did more harm than good, because now the original back up was overwritten with a bad back up.
After reading the forums, I thought I could restore my data and purchased application upgrades, however, nothing changed.
Can I get back to the original backup and selectively restore the application data?
I love the automatic back up feature, but, don't blast away previous back ups. Also, let us decide what to restore to the iPad.

The same thing just happened to me and I was ticked!! All is well now though because this (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519) worked for me! YAYAYAY! Click the first "download previously purchased apps" and follow directions. It's annoying because you have to go back into the app store on your iPad and redownload every single one individually, but at least it works! I was not about to go repurchase them all. After this, I will backup from iPad into iTunes since they got lost in the iTunes update.

All photos, videos, settings, and app data gone after IOS5 upgrade

Ive lost all my settings, photos, videos, emails etc. I had created a back up as always since I'm paranoid about loosing my info. My contacts remain thankfully but all my apps have been rearranged into completely random orders. I can't find some apps unless I put in a search for them.
Synching seems to do nothing to help the situation. Where could all of the data in my apps have gone? Why is it so randomly thrown on my iPhone? Anyone else experiencing this?

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

Stamp and Marquee Tool

Why does the item I'm copying with stamp or paste into a marquee
rectangular box appear smaller than from the original item?

Instead of using the clone stamp tool, use one of the selection tools to select the object.
Try the selection brush or the lasso tool to select the object
You will see an outline ("marching ants") around the selection once it is complete
Then press CTRL+J to place the selection on its own layer
Use the move tool to position the object. The size will be maintained, unless you change it, which you can do with the corner handles of the bounding box.

Itunes and quicktime icons gone after update

my friend and i both just recently updated our itunes to the latest and greatest version.
now niether of us have icons for either prog.
the are like a blank icon, just not the correct icon.
sometimes when i click on the programs the icon appears but then goes away, and this is happening to my friend as well.
anyone else having this issue ?

Everything gone after iOS 8.1 update!

I installed the update to iOS 8.1 yesterday - iTunes says there is a back up yesterday morning prior to my update.
After the update finally finished. It was stuck in a boot loop toggling between black screen and black screen with apple.
After plugging it in over and over to iTunes for fear my battery would die while it was in the loop, it finally entered a restore mode. It restored as if it was a new iPad. Tried to back up from iCloud, nothing available. Tried to restore from iTunes on computer, nothing. Everything is GONE with the exception of one webpage shortcut icon and my photos. in iTunes it shows the two apps I was wanting to download just before the update. They are in iTunes and ready to install.
I attempted to restore from backup this morning again and still NOTHING>
This is my personal/busniess iPad and I have many Expensive apps I use daily in my therapy job!
Is there any hope?
Is there something I can try?
Is the $19.99 they are asking for a service chat worth it??? I do NOT want to pay them more money because of something I feel THEY screwed up. My iPad worked with NO kinks prior to the update yesterday.

An iTunes backup doesn't contain any of your iTunes downloads (apps, music etc), it contains things such as your app's settings, documents, files etc - instead the restore looks to pick them from your iTunes library.
As long as the apps are still in your country's store, and you haven't changed countries since buying them, then you should be able redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, and the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad. If you don't have the apps in your computer's iTunes library then try redownloading them on there and then retry restoring to the backup and see if it puts them and their content back on your iPad
