Stamping presets to multiple images doesn't work in 3.3?

I used to be able to lift adjustments from one image select multiple images and stamp multiple images at once. This doesn't seem to work in 3.3. Can someone verify please?

The hot key is ⇧⌘V (in the main menu bar : Metadata > Stamp Metadata and Adjustments) and this hot key also works for me on multiple selected images, provided "Primary only" is not enabled, as William pointed out. But I usually keep the Lift & Stamp HUD open, to be able to deselect some adjustment.

Applying settings preset to multiple images in ACR v4.3

When attempting to apply a preset to multiple images in ACR, the preset is only applied to the "current" or "active" image. The other images in the thumbnail pane remain unchanged, even though they are selected. This function works correctly in Bridge, but not in ACR. "Synchronizing" the files does not do the same thing, as my preset incorporates "Apply auto tone adjustments." What am I missing?

Pardon my misunderstanding of the question. I just tried it, and the method of selecting the images has no impact (e.g., the "select all" button, or hold "shift" or "ctrl" and click on multiple images...)
All the boxes are checked in the "synchronize" dialog. However, this synchronizes all of the settings to the "active image," which ties the tone adjustments to that image, which is undesirable. I just want to automatically adjust the tones (as part of my preset) to all of the selected images.
Based upon input from this tread, this is the refined procedure I use to "check" if it's working (which hasn't for me so far):
1) Select multiple images (or all, if you prefer)
2) Apply "camera raw defaults" Note that the settings default to Blacks: +5, Brightness: +50, Contrast: +25
3) Apply a saved preset (saved with the check box "Apply auto tone adjustments" checked).
4) Note that the Blacks, Brightness, and Contrast sliders only "adjust" for the "active" image, but don't change for the other selections. They remain at Blacks: +5, Brightness: +50, Contrast: +25
Again, if I perform this procedure in Bridge, it works for all selected images. However, in ACR, it functions as described above.
Does that clear it up?

How do I apply a preset to multiple images at once?

I'm almost embarassed to ask this, because it seems so simple. But I'm new to LR and need some help.
I want to apply a preset (exmample, a preset that resembles film) to multiple images at once. (similar to batch editing in Photoshop) but I want want the white balance etc to necessarily be the same, obviously. Please help!

Select all of your thumbnails in the develop module film strip or in the library prior to going into develop. Then turn on Auto-Sync. Any adjustment you make to your first image will be repeated on all of the selected images. Or just perfect your first image and choose sync. You will see a pop-up dialog and you can choose exactly which develop settings you wish to sync e.g. white balance only or white balance and other settings.
To be clear Auto-sync will apply all develop settings on the fly to all selected images.
Sync will apply the settings from the first selected image to all of the subsequently selected images unless you choose exceptions. For example you may wish to apply exposure, contrast, highlights and shadows from your perfected image but not the crop settings.
Don't forget to turn off Auto-Sync when you have finished otherwise it will affect future editing.

Inserting dynamic image doesn't work for range of records

Hi,
I'm using BI Publisher 5.6.3 and E-business Suite 12.1.3.
I have set up my RTF template so that it brings in a logo image dynamically onto an invoice.
The code in the "alt text" field behind my dummy image is: url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}/',//CF_LOGO)}
The image is within a repeating loop that loops around the invoices chosen.
It works fine if I run the concurrent request for a single invoice - the correct logo image is shown.
However if I run the concurrent request for a range of invoices which should contain a mixture of both logos it doesn't work and prints the same logo for each invoice regardless of what it should be displaying.
For testing purposes I also output the name of the image, field CF_LOGO (which is calculated in a formula in the RDF file) just before the actual image, and this always displays the correct value even for a range of invoices. As you can see above this is the field that I include in the code to obtain the image.
Does anyone have any idea why a range of invoices will only display one logo image?

The problem is:
Whenever you change the column size or scroll down the
datagrid,
the images will be added again.
if the datasetlist is changed the old images doesn't clean up
and
all the images messed up

I loved Ben's suggestion because it promised to be a low-effort workaround, but, alas, I get the same problem: "lvlib is already loaded from this path...".
I tried Olivia's workaround for CAR 124214. It worked great for the simple lvproj that is posted above. (Hooray!) It didn't work so well in my real project, that has about 30 lvlibs and lvclasses. About 3/4 of the way through the save, I got a compiler error and LabView crashed. (Boo!) I submitted the crash log on this, but it's hard to imagine how anyone in R&D could make any progress debugging this without the source code. (And I can't submit the source because I can't export a copy of it!)
Anyway, thank you very much Ben and Olivia for your suggestions. I have lvclasses embedded in lvlibs (primarily for organizational reasons) and since LabView tanked while saving one of those, perhaps the workaround doesn't work in this case. I may try again after removing the lvclasses from the lvlibs so that the hierarchy is flatter.

Multiple Image Upload not working on macs

Hello everybody,
I have searched everywhere for an answer to this issue and I'm not sure if there is a solution yet.
I am hoping someone reads this and tells me if either I need to use another product or post a fix for this to work.
I am developing a website for a photographer who needs to upload the pictures he takes for his clients to review on his website.
So on the backend I have created an application where he logs in and creates a new client and then uploads multiple images to that client's folder.
I am of course developing the site in ADDT version 1.0.1. in Dreamweaver CS4.
Everything works as expected except for the image upload part, where he is unable to upload even a single image.
He is using Mac OS X and Safari 3 to access his site.
I use a PC and can upload images perfectly, but the whole purpose of the website is for him to be able to upload images without me.
I read somewhere that ADDT's Multiple Image upload did not work on Macs because of the way that the OS handles image uploads to the server via HTTP. I also know that Flash v.10 had an issue with this behaviour in the past, but that it's been fixed with ADDT's v. 1.0.1, which is true since as I said I am able to upload images from my PC using that Flash version.
There is a product called MultiPowUpload from Element-IT (http://www.element-it.com/MultiPowUpload.aspx) that seems to do the exact same thing as ADDT's Multiple Image Upload, and I have tested the Demo version both on Mac and PC and works perfectly well.
I really would like my ADDT behaviour to work, first because I already have the whole site developed in it, plus I am used to the software already, and also because Element-IT's product is a bit pricey for a multiple server license (which I would need for other sites I plan to develop for Mac users).
Any thoughts or pointers you might have will be greatly appreciated.

It turns out that for some strange reason the problem was with the hosting provider.
I have moved another site which was not working with Macs either to a new provider and everything works now as it should be, without changing any files at all.
I have in fact v.1.0.1 in both those sites (those were the first things I checked before posting here) and Flash Player v. 10 both on the Mac and PC, so it will remain a mystery as to why the server behavior did not work with that particular host on Macs.

Clickable image doesn' t work in the table

Hi all,
Our Visual Composer has been upgraded to sps12. And when I add an image to a form and assign it a hyperlink action, it does work well. But when I add an image column to a table and assign it the similar hyperlink action, it doesn't work. Does anybody know why?

Hi Dicky,
I checked it on our system, which is also on SPS12 and it works. I think your problem is, that you didn't click exact on picture. Not the whole cell is clickable for opening an URL. A solution might be to use a bigger picture, but when your user resize the column, then there could be another space which is not clickable.
Another workaorund could be to use the fit size function of the image, but this cause a deformed picture and I also noticed that this function didn't work correctly.
I will forward a link to this thread to Luis, who works for SAP in the VC QA.
I hope he could solve this issue.

Buttons with multiple actions doesn't work in v32.1

We had buttons in our previously published folios that bring one multi-state object to first state and second MSO to other state which depends on which button is pressed. It works in app v32.0 and lower, but it doesn't work longer after trying to update our app to v32.1.
If there is no more possible to have buttons with more than one action, I think we should be warned in What's New in Relaese v32.1 notes. Because it's not happen we consider it as a bug. Can someone please tell us whether this is a permanent change to button functionality in DPS folios or if it is happen by mistake?

I was wondering if you were able to see my post today about problems with MSO's and whether you were able to get any solutions for the previous posts on this thread?
I have been in contact with the Adobe support team with regards to the problems I am having with the App I've created and sent the App and some sample indesign files for them to look over. They have been really unhelpful and just given me this as the response:
I have also researched about this issue and would like to inform you that there are several changes which have been incorporated in iOS 8.
So apps which are created and working with iOS 7 might not work with iOS 8. This is an expected behavior.
You would have to create the app again with compatibility settings with iOS 8 and then release an update for the same.
So altogether there has to be another to be app created for iOS 8.
As we are already 2 weeks over deadline, due to problems with iOS 8, and out of budget to cover the extra work we have had to do so far problem solving these issues, I really hoped for something better than this response.
Are Adobe really not looking into a fix for this? Is the only solution to limit the interactivity and functionality of DPS apps so they work within the new restrictions of iOS 8?
Any help would be really gratefully received.

Zoom on multiple images don´t work, please help!

When I have selected multiple images and click ”z” command in multi-view mode Aperture automatic deselects all images except the first and last ones and zooms in on just this two. This appear on RAW files from Canon EOS 1DmII and 10D.
Is there anyone else having this problem?
Is it a bug or a feature?

Interesting thread, as I never knew you could zoom in on multiple images, so I gave it a try...
I was able to select 6 RAW (Nikon D100 NEF's) images, and then hit "z" to zoom in on them with no problem. I then hit "f" for full screen mode, and that showed all images as well. It was great to be able to use my mighty mouse to then simply hover over each picture and pan (using the track ball) around each image in that mode.
So, at least for my system (quad 2.5 G5, 5G RAM, 7800GT) I was able to see all of the images.

Applying preset to group of images doesn't work

In the develop module of Lightroom 2.2, I do a Ctl-A to select all images, and then click on a preset button. The preset only gets applied to the active image, not all selected. This is an issue on one of my computers, but not on the other. Am I missing some setting or preference?

Dang -- I had auto sync turned on one computer, and of course it worked. Auto sync was turned off on the one where it didn't work as I expected. Thanks tomrock for triggering me to look at that.

On OnPremise, Sending email to multiple recipients doesn't work with SendEmail method

We are creating a site collection on OnPremise from App by using Sharepoint Client API's (16 version).
After creation of site collection, we are sending an email to all site collection administrators. But we found that email is being sent to the only first person mentioned in the "To" list. For sending email we are using following method "Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Utilities.Utility.SendEmail()".
We tried different scenarios by passing alternately domain username and email address.
Here are the findings for the different scenarios for the "To" field:
1) "domain\user1; domain\user1" => sends email to first user
2) "[email protected]; [email protected]" => sends email to both emails (at least shows in inbox To field, two occurances of email)
3) "domain\user1; domain\user2" => sends email to first user
4) "[email protected]; [email protected]" => sends email to first user
Here is the code we are using:

According to the R16 Admin preview guide;-

But how that works exactly is not clear, I have tried commas, semi-colons, spaces, apostrophes, doublequotes, to separate and try to establish the correct syntax without luck.
Bob - Perhaps you can do some digging and find out the correct syntax for multiple addresses?

PHP and multiple DB doesn`t work

I've been all day trying to find some clues on how to get data from two SSID on the same server (under Oracle 10g and PHP5 w/oci)
I'll explain:
The Oracle server has two schemas: datos and global.

Both sentences are tested and working so there is no problem in the PHP code.

Well actually the @ signs are there so the "PHP Warning: Division by zero" is disabled, still the connection have always worked just fine for me, that's just a warning.
I really don't get the mixture between php4 and php5 as all the functions I used are documented in here http://cl.php.net/oci8.
I've always have this confussion about SID and schemas. As i understand it the schemas are database instances that are identified by an SID. Lets say, the database instance has a global name "no_godzilla", then the SID will be "nogodzilla" (oracle truncates "_" from SID). And that database will have a user and a password to grant the access.
So, the connection string must have a : username, password, SID or global database name and a specified host.
For now the second connection ($conn1) on my php file is working but the first doesn, that even when the sentences are made to be perfectly equals, for that I've created tables in both databases with tha same structure but different data. Still, the only database that seems to work is datos
Yesterday I tried to make the connection from an ODBC but found some trouble on doing that, I've received the following error:
[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
so, I've created a new listener and i was able to start a ODBC from the datos database but still I recieve the message when I try to connect from the other database.
After that I figured out (after reading some forums) that the error was on the listener configuration listener.ora and tnsnames.ora, I found it very troublesome to manually edit those files and after a while I just cracked and fell death on my desktop.
Then I was told to use 3 databases instead of 2, wich made my soul leave my body for a while, and I took that fine oportunity to say "hi" to some people I haven't seen in a while.
On my rebirth I decided to make tree brand new Oracle installations, so the ports on each database are different (this will solve my problem I thougth), but I only came to the same conclussion, PHP can only access one database (from 3 Oracle 10g on the same machine, Ive tested it under Oracle and mysql without problems of this kind).
Now I have 3 listeners and 3 databases, each one on localhost:1521, localhost:1522 and localhost:1523. The listeners work fine but I cant make an ODBC or make my precious code to work.
I must finish this work tomorrow, so I'm switching back to Java. Still in the future I surely will have to deal with this again so, I still ask for some clues, just so i know how to deal with this.
Right now I'll resume reading the Underground oracle and PHP manual (I've read it before but only untill page 120).

Photoshop layered image doesn't work properly in DVDSP

Well, hi. I'm new here, and something new in all FCP family. Well. I tried my first DVD and made a menu image in Photoshop with 2 layers (buttons). I imported in DVDSP, and created the buttom. For any strange reason, the layer image in photoshop is different from the image the buttom was created. Does anybody knows what have I done wrong? Files can bee seen and downloaded at

There are: menudvd.psd = 1.2MB and dvdandre (zipped folder) = 23KB [workflow in DVDSP]
SHORT:
Image from the two guys in photoshop has borders (one layer with blue and other with red border). After imported in DVDSP, these borders disappeared, and the hair color made the difference when clicking the buttom.

As Steve told you DVDSP don't read Photoshop effects in layers. You need to rasterize those layers. The best workflow is work with a "source" file (to make any further changes), with all your effects and with a "final" file flattened file to use in DVDSP.
Besides that you must create a separate file as Overlay. That file must be white background with your overlay shape in plain black (with a little more of practice you'll learn to use different tone of gray to get different colors iun your overlay, but 99% of my DVDs have just black and white overlays). You can/must use the background design as starting point.
Finally because you are authoring a NTSC DVD you must take care of the pixel aspect ratio issue. What means that? Your "source" Photoshop background file must be 720x538 pixels. Before importing in DVDSP you must resize it to 720x480. This info is from DVDSP User Manual:

Print as image doesn't work Adober Reader X

Recently, I tried to print out a 'For Sale' .pdf file available from autotrader.com and it split the image into two parts and didn't print out as displayed on the computer screen with an hp d2445 deskjet printer. I tried to follow a suggestion found in the forums for Adobe Reader that says to mark the 'Print as image' box in the advanced print setup part of the Adobe Reader program to no avail.
What should I do in this situation beyond check marking this box?
I did try another printer on another machine and it printed correctly. I called hp about this problem and they said that it was likely a problem with the Adobe Reader software or a problem with the driver for the hp d2445 printer which was purchased in 2009 but is now considered obsolete in 2011. It seems to me, that if it looks ok on the screen it should print out ok on the printer, though. So, I was disappointed for this printer. I also tried to reinstall windows 7 32 bit home premium, and reinstalled the drivers for the printer from hp.com to no avail. The troubleshooting utility for the printer indicates that all systems are go.

This was happening to me with a form I created in acrobat Pro X and was testing using Reader X (accessing the fillable form from the internet so I want to make sure people can use it) for submitting. This general preference change fixed my problem but I can't fix it for all the visitors on my website (no way to set this in the form itself after it is opened?) I can get the file to attach and create an email but only if I leave off the email address (I just enter 'mailto:' in the URL). Please let me know if anyone out there has a possible solution that will work for the web - I have an order form that can be filled out online.
