Stand Alone Remote View
Hello,
I have been searching for a stand alone remote viewer for Zenworks 7. I found a few applications that seem to have worked with Zenworks 4 and they don't really provide the functionality that I need.
I need to have a stand alone application that will be able to either view the container with the workstation objects or the ability to scan the network for the objects.
Any ideas?

Stand alone client for remote EJB corba error
Regarding problem below, I've checked System env variables
that weblogic server is using for CORBA classes:
javax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass=weblogic.iiop.UtilDelegateImpl
org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
javax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass=weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl
But these are server classes and not found in wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar. What classes should be used for client? What needs to be set in order to get successful remote RMI/EJB call to weblogic server?
Original post:
I have a stand alone spring client for simple stateless session EJB deployed on weblogic 9.2. I'm using spring (jdk 1.5) to call this remote EJB and the only way I can succeed is to have full weblogic.jar in my bootstrap classpath. Otherwise I get corba error:
CORBA BAD_PARAM 0 No; nested exception is:
org.omg.CORBA.BAD_PARAM: vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: No
Interestingly, within same client I have JMS call to weblogic JMS and that fails if weblogic.jar is in boot classpath. Getting rid of weblogic.jar from boot classpath works if I have wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar in regular classpath (as per weblogic docs). I would think that for stand alone client all I would need is to weblogic client jars, why should I need to have full weblogic.jar?
I can't get those work together with same classpath. I wonder if anybody has some pointers and/or advice. I was looking to set system parameters for corba for weblogic client that maybe could help:
org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass
org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass
javax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass
javax.rmi.CORBA.StubClass
javax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass
But I can't find definitive answer.
Regards,
-pp
Edited by mr.papini at 06/28/2007 9:05 AMI'm stuck exactly with the same issue while trying to port my application from weblogic to jboss.
I tried to specify different ORB implementations (JacORB, OpenORB) for jvm option org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass, but JBoss couldn't get them instantiated. Native Sun implementation which is used in JBoss by default and can be instantiated, apparently is not fully compatible with weblogic security module.
So did you manage to find out the solution?

Can someone please tell me how to view a newly created Genius playlist (not via Up Next, but as a stand-alone playlist)? Thank you!
>> then I get a completely blue screen.
That probably means that you're not looking at a bug in Photoshop, but a problem with a driver - and the most likely cause would be your video card driver.
And sure enough, your video card driver is almost 2 years out of date.
Please go to NVidia's website and get the latest driver - then follow their directions for installation (so you don't get bits of old driver left over). -

you can't run jdev 11.1.2 apps on a wls 10.3.4 server. The adf runtime libraries are different and you get exactly the error you see. Spare your time trying to get it running...
The sherman patch (patch 12611176) is only available via http://support.oracle.com/ (you need avalid support contract). If you have one read my blog about installing the patch http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/06/25/upgrading-wls-10-3-5-with-adf-runtime-11-1-2-0-0-sherman-patch/ andhttp://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/06/29/follow-up-upgrading-wls-10-3-5-with-adf-runtime-11-1-2-0-0-sherman-patch/.
If you really want to use 11.1.2 apps you have to update your wls server to 10.3.5 first, then apply the patches...
If you can't update you have to user jdve 11.1.1.4.0 together with wls10.3.4

Issue while deploying dynamic region to stand alone server
Hi,
In my application there is one page I have panel splitter, where i have drag and dropped menu-taskflow as regionModel, and created dynamic region on second facet panel.
<af:region value="#{bindings.menutaskflow1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>
<af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion4.regionModel}" id="r2"/>
I have created application level class to handle dynamic region loading.
This settings are working fine when i run application with integrated web logic server, When I deployed my application to stand alone server, its giving me exception as
java.lang.IllegalStateException: The expression "#{bindings.menutaskflow1.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "r1") evaluated to null.
This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.menutaskflow1}" evaluates to "null".
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "null". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

Flash for a stand-alone game.
Hi all First of all, sorry for bad english.
I've an idea for a game. Not a browser game, a desktop game.
Can I use Flash CS 5.5 to develop a real desktop stand-alone game? Yes, I can export my file in a .exe / .app application, but if I use Flash CS, my players will need to install / have, in any case, Flash Player / Air?
Sorry for stupid question but I'm a little bit confused.Oh, yeah, I misunderstood. Thank u very much ^_^
Uhm, is it possible to modify the Player aspect? I mean, it's still a Flash Player and I'd like it look more "generic" as on OSX: no File, View etc menu, no "Adobe Flash Player" label etc. -

Edited by sandeepc221 at 09/19/2007 2:50 AMYou didn't post the stack trace from the server, but I'm guessing it's complaining about the QName class. Sun changed the QName class in JDK 1.5 wreaking havoc on JDK 1.5 clients that use JDK 1.4 servers and attempt to pass a QName object from one to the other. If your client uses JDK 1.5, your sever will need to use a QName class which is compatible. The file liquiddata/lib/wls90interop.jar contains a QName class that is compatible with the one in JDK1.5. You can put it first in the classpath of your server.
If you already have wls90interop.jar first in the classpath of your server, then, for your client, you need to either (1) use the Sun JDK 1.5; or (2) put wls90interop.jar first in the classpath of your client (if you are running JDK 1.4).

I have used Blackberries in business since the beginning. Fantastic products!
Sadly after spending the better part of Feb 6th transitioning from Torch to Z10 I have had to abandon the effort and request an RMA number to return the Z10.
Here is why:
"Link" appears to be focussed on syncing documents and media like content such as music and movies but does not, from what I can tell, sync Outlook Contacts, Calendar entries or Tasks. I have never bothered putting music or movies on a BB... never had the time to fuss with such... however, I use, edit and sync my Contacts, Calendar and Tasks between my Torch and my desktop PC every day... as in EVERY day!
From a review of postings on various forums there does not appear to be a solution in the works to this problem and the trend appears to be to use a Cloud based email or service to host such "PIM" information and then sync the handheld to the Cloud repository. This method MAY be suitable for some forms of info but it is not suitable to post such personal info on the cloud... it needs to stay on the desktop and in the handheld device, both of which are password protected and looked after carefully.
This is an odd situation, BB (RIM) cut their teeth on pages, emails, BBM and great cell calls, mainly in a business environment. Many small business users live and die on their BB. They do not run Exchange Server... they run Outlook stand alone on a desktop. To remove this functionality from the Z10 (BB10 overall perhaps) seems at best to be a serious oversight.
I wish BB the best with the Z10 and hope to see it do well. For me, I had to make a choice between the efficiency and effectiveness of syncing Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks with the Torch, or hand feeding and maintaining thousands of constantly changing entries into what is undoubtedly a more powerful and wonderful looking Z10. Efficiency and effectiveness won over brawn and beauty. The Torch is back on line... It's a tool... a really great tool! Tomorrow it will process a hundred emails, numerous SMS messages, a few BBM's, keep me on time and feed me a bunch of useful phone numbers and addresses as it has for a couple of years now. It will also spend an hour or so teathered to my laptop at a remote location where there is cell coverage but no internet. It will NOT display any movies, tweats, twits, or facebook stuff that I won't have time to look at anyway. The fast, powerful, shiny Z10 is heading in an RMA bag back to Telus.
I have a sort of sick feeling in my gut and hope to be able to sync again in the future!my feelings and my situation excatly

Project Management in stand alone environment
My customer belong to professional service(IT delivery service) industry.
And they want to manage their projects by using PPM 5.0(cProjects).
One of my customer's requirement is managing their projects in stand alone environment.
That is to say, project manager excute the project in the customer site after contracting their customer project.
But customer forbid him to set network environment as VPN because of customer's securiy policy.
Can I meet custome's requirement by using cProjects.
Could you give me any good solution.Hi,
I believe the cProjects (PPM5.0) is the SAP solution provided for the such type of project management requirements only. You can use cProjects as standalone Project management solution, wherein you can plan, execute and monitor your projects from remote locatuons (customer site). You can use cProjects by using NWBC on HTML and / or Enterprise portal (EP). Please read for SAP Help and other SAP PPM 5.0 reference documents to get more details about how it will fit in your requirement.

Installing Cover Flow as a stand alone app in iTunes 11?
Cover Flow used to be a stand alone app before it became part of iTunes. Can it be used with iTunes 11, which deleted that view option?
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/19081/coverflow
When I installed it and tried to use it I get the message: "Error Message: CoverFlow couldn't find any albums in your iTunes Library /Users/myname/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml."
I haven't had the time to check, but I think I have my main iTunes Library somewhere else, probably on an external HD. Unfortunately the only choice Cover Flow gives me is to quit. I don't have the option to chose the location of my library.
But maybe there is some way to go back several years and use Cover Flow as a separate app, until Apple comes to their senses.
There's more to check out in a Google search for Cover Flow, but I haven't done that yet...maybe someone more computer savvy than I is already doing that.
I'll continute to investigate when I have the time.
PaulThe app is very old and won't run on my (not very new) MacBook.
Would be awesome if someone had a solution to this. Thanks.

How to add a stand alone table from Physical layer to Business Model
Hi,
I have tables from 2 different database sources in my Physical Layer.
My Business model currently uses only tables from one database. from my second database in teh physical layer I need only one table and that will be a stand alone table, to my Presentation layer.
1. Does it have to go through my Business layer or can it be directly added to the Presentation layer. What are the steps?
2. Can I restrict the permissions on that stand alone table only to the administrator?
Thank you.1)create a view with single column using the sql (select 1 from dual) in physical layer and join it with the table using complex join in physical layer (1=1).
Move that to BMM, set the column as key in both physical and bmm layer.
2) You can restrict the access for the table presentation layer
Double click the presentation layer table -> Permission -> there you can restrict the access by user or group
Thanks,

Stand-alone client - lookup problem
I have a stand-alone Java client application (ContactClient) that I want to use to access an EJB called Contact. I am using J2EE, deploying with deploytool. The EJB has a JNDI name of "MyContact", and the Client reference is "ejb/TheContact". The relevant code in the app is:
try
java.util.Properties props = new java.util.Properties();
props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
"com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory");
props.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "iiop://localhost:1050");
Context initial = new InitialContext(props);
Object objref = initial.lookup("ejb/TheContact");
ContactHome home =
(ContactHome)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref,
ContactHome.class);
contact = home.create();
catch (Exception ex)
System.err.println("Exception: " + ex.getMessage());
ex.printStackTrace();
The following exception is thrown by initial.lookup("ejb/TheContact");
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException. Root exception is org.omg.CosNaming.NamingContextPackage.NotFound: IDL:omg.org/CosNaming/NamingContext/NotFound:1.0
I have tried changing the name to "TheContact", and to "java:comp/env/TheContact" with no success. If I change it to the JNDI name "MyContact", the lookup works, but the following call, PortableRemoteObject.narrow(), throws a java.lang.ClassCastException.
What am I doing wrong?
JohnHi, Thanks for your fast reply, but it still doesn't work.
With your Code I get a classCastException in this line:
"SessionHome home = (SessionHome)ctx.lookup("SessionBeanInstance");"
Here is the code from the whole thing, as it works with the appclient script:
SessionHome: //RemoteHomeInterface
package ejb;
import java.rmi.RemoteException;
import javax.ejb.CreateException;
import javax.ejb.EJBHome;
public interface SessionHome extends EJBHome {
Session create() throws RemoteException, CreateException;

env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "iiop://127.0.0.1:3700");
try{
Context ctx = new InitialContext(env);
SessionHome home = (SessionHome)ctx.lookup("SessionBeanInstance");
Session remote = (Session)home.create();
String test = remote.getString();
System.out.println(test);
catch(Exception e){ e.printStackTrace(); }
catch (Exception ex) {
System.err.println("Caught an exception.");
ex.printStackTrace();
The error occurs only if is start with the "java -jar" script. Here is the error:

Stand-alone JNDI lookup of an EJB in an Enterprise Application (EAR) build
Hi All,
I am having some difficulty doing JNDI look up an EJB 3.0 Bean that is part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) build. Below are all the related codes:
package ejb;
import javax.ejb.Local;
@Local
public interface Hello1Local {
public String getHello1();
package ejb;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
@Stateless
public class Hello1Bean implements Hello1Local {
public String getHello1() {
return "I am Hello1 Bean!";
package ejb;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
@Remote
public interface Hello2Remote {
public String getHello2();
package ejb;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
import javax.ejb.EJB;
@Stateless
@EJB(name="ejb/Hello1",
beanInterface=Hello1Local.class,
beanName="Hello1Bean")
public class Hello2Bean implements Hello2Remote {
@EJB private Hello1Local hello1bean;
public String getHello2() {
return hello1bean.getHello1();
There is no problem looking up Hello2 Bean using an Application Client such as the following:
public class LocalHelloApplicationClient {
@EJB(name="Hello2")
private static Hello2Remote hello2Bean;
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("hello2Bean.getHello2(): " + hello2Bean.getHello2());
}There is also no problem doing JNDI lookup (from a Stand-Alone Client the same bean if both Hello1 and Hello2 were created by themselves. ie not part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) build. However, I am wondering whether it is possible to do JNDI lookup of the same bean (Hello2) that is part of an Enterprise Application (EAR) built. Below are the type of JNDI lookup entries that I have tried without success:
public class StandalonePojoCallHelloWorld {
public static void main(String [] args)
try
InitialContext jndiContext = new InitialContext();
Hello2Remote hello2Bean = (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("ejb.Hello2Remote");
or
Hello2Remote hello2Bean = (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.Hello2.remote");
or
Hello2Remote hello2Bean = (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.ejb.Hello2Remote");
or
Hello2Remote hello2Bean = (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.Hello2Remote");
or
Hello2Remote hello2Bean = (Hello2Remote) jndiContext.lookup("LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication-ejb.Hello2Remote");
System.out.println("hello2Bean.getHello2(): " + hello2Bean.getHello2());
catch (javax.naming.NamingException ne)
ne.printStackTrace();
They all came up with the same error message:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication.LocalHelloEnterpriseApplication-ejb.Hello2Remote not found

JackHello
I've somme problems to get access to ejb interface from remote stand-alone client.
Here is my EJB code :
package stateless;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
@Stateless(name = "TestSB", mappedName = "ejb/stateless/TestSB")
public class TestEJBBean implements TestEJBRemote {
public String getMessage() {
return "Hello EJB World";
}And the remote interface :
package stateless;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
@Remote
public interface TestEJBRemote {
String getMessage();
} In client side, i just edit main.java like this :
package testclient;
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import java.util.Properties;
import javax.naming.InitialContext;
import stateless.TestEJBRemote;
public class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
Properties props = new Properties();
props.load(new FileInputStream("jndi.properties"));
InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(props);
TestEJBRemote testEJB = (TestEJBRemote) ctx.lookup("ejb/stateless/TestSB");
System.out.println(testEJB.getMessage());
}here is my jndi.properties file (my glassfish server IP is 192.168.0.10) :
java.naming.factory.initial = com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory
java.naming.factory.url.pkgs = com.sun.enterprise.naming
java.naming.factory.state = com.sun.corba.ee.impl.presentation.rmi.JNDIStateFactoryImpl
org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost = 192.168.0.10
org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort = 3918when i run client on the same machine than the glassfish app server, it works fine.
But i run it on the different machine than the glassfish app server (on the same LAN without firewall), it fails with this error message :

Remove stand alone movie header (window menu)
hi, recently i posted a message similar to this one, somebody told me the 'fscommand' still works in as3 so i could use it, i placed:
fscommand("showmenu", false); // << gave error, since it seems it only takes strings
tried

how do i remove the window menu (file, view, control, debug) in a stand alone movie?
