Stand Alone Text

I am using a template with Motion 3.0 which is taking my created text and sweeping it across the canvas when I would like to have the text stand by itself without the movement. I know that I saw a tutorial where one can create stand alone text but haven't been able to find it. Any ideas which might point this novice in the right direction?

Which template?
You should be able to just deactivate or delete the behavior that is imparting the movement.

  • Enable hyperlink grayed out for text in stand-alone text box

    I need to create hyperlinks to several webpages in my book.
    I am able to do this by selecting a few words of text in chapters that were "inserted from a Word document," but when I create a separate text box, the menu is grayed out. I have tried selecting the whole text box as well as carefully selecting just the text. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    You're right dabienwa. If you select the text and it has a tight box around it inside the text box, then it's a box within a box. You can't hyperlink these. Deleting all the contents and entering them again solved it for me.
    I discovered this when creating a new text box for a template, and entering some default text that I knew I wanted on every corresponding page. In my case it was "www.domain.com/" allowing me to fill in the remainder on each page and then hyperlink it.
    I ended up deleting the text from the template so I wouldn't get the box-within-a-box problem, and pasting the common text in on every page. I could then actually make the hyperlink text a hyperlink.

  • Download LR 5.5 as stand-alone

    Hi,
    I am using LIghroom 5.4 and have heard about the updated version 5.5 which I would like to download and install as it worked fine since I started using LR as from version 3.
    I want to use it as a stand-alone program and have no interest to join the Adobe cloud.
    How and from where can I download the latest update without installing the cloud desktop software?
    Update:
    found the solution myself:
    I went to the download page , pressed on the the windows version of LR 5.5 (german in my case). This opened up a text page with links. Here you scroll down (press page down couple of times) until you see Downloads, and here you press "Proceed to download" which will download the 920 MB exe file on the local harddrive.
    I got frustrated because I missed that I had to scroll down so far, so all I ended up a couple of times was the cloud installer.
    For amateurs this is not the way how I will continue. I will stick to LR as long as it is offered as a stand-alone program. I am not willing to go into the cloud and make it a cash cow for adobe....
    best regards,
    Matthias Brand

    You don't need to be attached to the cloud constantly for the newer versions to work. They only have to connect once every four months or so. I believe they also offer enterprise/government versions that don't require a connection at all, but you would have to contact Adobe sales to find out about that. Also, you can pay in yearly increments instead of monthly (and there may be more options for government versions).
    The only perpetual licenses you can get are for CS6 and equivalent versions, but nothing newer.

  • Purchase Order in Stand Alone Scenario

    Hi experts
    i'd like to know if is possible to create a Purchase Order in SRM 5.0 (stand alone scenario) with position "Limit".
    I'd like also to know if is possible to create Purchase Orders with 2 or more lines.
    I'm sure that is possible to creat Shopping Cart with position "Limit".
    Regards

    Hi Olga,
    Are you creating RFQ from scratch or from Sourcing Cockpit ?
    If from SOCO, the Bid data can be completed with originating SC data. Otherwise data needs to be completed.
    Have a look at "processing bids" part of bidding engine help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/d3/133dcd5641b244a60578baa996a597/content.htm
    It is stated that in case of contract creation, you have to complete the "user-defined" contract item to add data, for example product or vendor product number.
    For PO creation, there is nothing about "user-defined" items.
    I analyzed this process in an SRM 5.0, and it looks correct: added items are passed to the PO.
    For local PO creation, all the logic is done in BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE.
    Here are steps for SRM 5.0
    - read quote details (items and additional items)
    - read RFQ details
    - retrieve RFQ long texts
    - fill PO header and complete it with ACS & BUK attributes of connected user
    - merge normal & supplier added items (GOOD !!!!!)
    - process items
    - complete partners
    - process texts
    - process attachments
    - BADI to determine purch group
    - create the PO with BBP_PD_PO_CREATE
    So it should work.
    Debug this process starting with function BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE, or open an OSS message.

  • AMF connection working on browser, not in stand alone player

    Greetings,
    I'm trying to communicate my SWF file with PHP using Zend_Amf. I compile the flash side using Flex SDK 4.
    Whenever I try to run the swf using the stand alone player (the projector), I always get a NetConnection.Call.BadVersion event. However, when running exactly the same file thorught the player of the browser (even not thoguht a server, just using the file:// kind of address), everything works OK, so I know my code is not completely wrong.
    I thought this could be related with the security sandbox. However, I added the folder where my swf file is to the global trusted folder; and actually made sure that Security.sandboxType returns "localTrusted". How ever, that didn't fix anything.
    So I'm out of ideas. Any suggestion on where to look next?

    Here's my code, in case its needed (it's a pretty straightforward hello world example):
    PHP SIDE:
    $a = new Amf_Model_Test();
    $server = new Zend_Amf_Server();
    $server->setClass('Amf_Model_Test');
    echo $server->handle();
    class Amf_Model_Test
    * return string
    public function greet()
        return "hello";
    AS SIDE:
    public class main extends Sprite
    private var _resp: Responder;
    private var _nc: NetConnection;
    private var tf: TextField;
    private var _gateway: String;
    public function main()
    tf = new TextField();
    tf.width = 500;
    tf.border = true;
    tf.borderColor = 0x0000FF;
    addChild(tf);
          _gateway = 'http://cms.loc/amf';
    _resp = new Responder(onResult, onFault);
    _nc = new NetConnection();
    _nc.connect(_gateway);
    _nc.client = this;
    _nc.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, onNetStatus);
    _nc.call("Amf_Model_Test.greet", _resp);
    private function onNetStatus(event: NetStatusEvent): void
    trace(event.info['code']);
    tf.text = "Status = "+event.info['code'];
    private function onFault(result: Object): void
    tf.text = "Fault = " + String(result);
    private function onResult(result: Object): void
          tf.text = "Result = " + String(result);
    In my browser, I get "Result = hello", as expected. In the stand alone player (which is exactly the same version) I get "Status = NetConnection.Call.BadVersion".

  • "Stand-alone" Installer Problems

    Hi there.
    I was hoping that there may be someone here who can advise me with a problem we are having with the stand-alone installer.
    The problems we are having suggest that it is in fact not a stand-alone installer, although hopefully someone can prove me wrong!
    After ADE is installed, using the stand-alone installer, no matter how many timnes I attempt to load a document, the DE detector tells me that ADE is not installed, and asks me to install. This is a never-ending loop. That's what happens in IE7.
    In Firefox, the detector does detect it, but halfway through the install it fails.
    The result of this is we can't open DRM protected eBooks on any of our open-access PCs due to ADE not working, even though we have installed it using the stand-alone installer.
    All PCs are XP SP3, browsers are IE7 and FF3.0, and users log into the PCs with basic 'User' privileges. Student's 'My Documents' folder is mapped to a network drive when they log on.
    Can anyone help?
    Kind Regards,
    Ian Lundell

    Open the "Console" application from Application/Utilities folder.
    Select System.log from the log list on the left.
    In the String Matching filter field, type Adobe AIR or Adobe Muse.
    Odds are the console will display the path to where AIR is finding a beta version of Muse.
    If that's not the case, pleaseelect all, and the copy and paste the log into a text file or e-mail and send it to us at [email protected] along with a link to this thread (for context).

  • Server side script not running on stand-alone XE

    Hello,
    In my application I created a Server side script (AJAX) which presents a select-list based on other fields on the page. The very same application runs on a 10g+APEX3.0.1 database AND on a standard XE+APEX2.1 database, which are both accessed via a HTTP-server. The application with the script runs fine on this platform (XP).
    I have two other XP-machines on which I also installed XE+APEX2.1. Both are stand-alone versions NOT accessed via a HTTP-server. I installed exactly the same application which runs on the platform with HTTP server on both of the machines. While testing the correct functioning, I noticed that everything works ok, EXCEPT the server side script which gives me a better select list. Instead of this I get the old-fashioned version of the select-list which is not able to use the value elsewhere on the page.
    I found a similar problem on the XE forum (Re: Server side scripts features ) but it doesn't answer my question how to get the script working on a standalone version of XE (= without access via a HTTP-server).
    Can anybody please help me?
    Thanks & regards,
    Jan.

    Carl,
    Thanks for your suggestion to install FireFox and the Firebug tool (which I wasn't aware of).
    After having looked at the problem for hours, I found what I think is the problem: the htmldb_html_elements.js script.
    As already mentioned, the properly functioning XE on my local PC is accessed via a HTTP-server, as well as the 10gR2+APEX3.0.1 version also running on that PC.
    On the laptop, not running HTTP-server, I get the message: <br>
    <FONT COLOR="RED">$x is not defined <BR>
    <FONT COLOR="BLUE"> f_21_select_kpn<FONT COLOR="RED">(<FONT COLOR="BLUE">input<FONT COLOR="BLACK">#P21_GBREKNR 405<FONT COLOR="RED">, "P21_KOSTENPOST") <BR>
    <FONT COLOR="BLUE">onblur<FONT COLOR="RED">(<FONT COLOR="BLACK">blur <FONT COLOR="RED">)
    </FONT><BR>
    That is in the 'Console' of Firebug.
    When changing to Script I do see a remarkable difference.
    On the PC there the following text is found in the first lines of htmldb_html_elements.js:
    /*htmld_elements will contain the lower level html access js*/<br>
    var gDebug = true;<br>
    var gkeyPressTime;<br>
    var gLastTab=false;<br>
    var gRegex=false;<br>
    var ie=(document.all)?true:false;<br>
    if(ie){document.expando=true;}<br>
    var gDebugWindow = false;<br>
    /*<br>
    $x functions have to do with either single elements or array of elements<br>
    $v functions have to have to do with manipulating values or interaction based off a value<br>
    $xml function have to do with manipulating xml values<br>
    $a functions are based on ajax<br>
    $d functions are specific dhtml constructs<br>
    */<br>
    /* begin $x functions */<br>
    function $x(pNd){<br>
    try{<br>
    var node;<br>
    ...<br><br>
    On the laptop however the first few lines are:<br><br>
    /*htmld_elements will contain the lower level html access js*/<br>
    <br>
    var gDebug = true;<br>
    var gkeyPressTime;<br>
    var gLastTab=false;<br>
    var gRegex=false;<br>
    if(document.all){document.expando = true;}<br>
    // Elements //<br>
    <br>
    function html_GetElement(pNd){<br>
    try{<br>
    var node;<br>
    switch(typeof (pNd)){<br>
    ...<br><br>
    I think that the difference is in these two scripts.
    But why are the scripts different: it is the same XE that is installed on the laptop and the PC.<br>The answer I found in the images/javascript directory of APEX3.0.1 which is located in the APACHE directory-tree (you have to copy the images to APACHE when you use the HTTP-server). And indeed: the htmldb_html_elements.js has exactly the same text as what I see in Firebug on the PC. So XE on the PC is using the javascripts in the image-directory of APACHE on the PC and not the XE-version of the scripts, embedded in XE.
    <br><br>
    So the answer seems to be: copy the APEX3.0.1 versions of the script over to the PC and try to get them into the database. Or...???
    <br>
    Can it be loaded into the database? Will XE accept it?
    <BR><br>
    Would be nice to have answers if the conclusion I found is the right one and if it can be fixed by loading the js into XE.
    <br>
    Best regards and thanks for your help so far.

  • Stand Alone Skin Editor

    Here is the scenario. I am strictly a front-end developer using HTML, CSS, Javascript etc. I have been brought onboard to work on a project that uses the Oracle Fusion Middleware ADF Framework. I am a total noob with this stuff!!
    We are currently working a project using jDevleoper 11.1.1.4 (We cannot use a different/updated version - we are currently stuck with this version, and no I do not know why)
    I am going to be responsible for ALL of the front-end look and feel. I thought, ok no biggie, I just work my CSS magic and that will create everything as needed... Boy was I absolutely wrong! So I checked the ADF Skin Editor (have to use the stand alone version due to project being worked on within 11.1.1.4). I am having an extremely hard time find tutorials just using the standalone version! Every tutorial or demo is using the integrated Skin Editor within jDeveloper 11.1.2.
    Does anyone know of any good beginner tutorials for using the standalone Skin Editor? I am really struggling with this since I don't even know if I can actually use the editor to create the .css and then how to get into the jDeveloper 11.1.1.4 project!?
    Again, I am totally new to this and back-end environment. What may seem like basic ideas/thoughts/language to you, is actually like me trying to read a foreign language that I have no understanding of. So think of me like ultimate dummy here! :)
    I appreciate any feedback, suggestions on tutorials/demos/books and thoughts that anyone can provide for me to learn this.
    Thank you and have a great day!
    Michael

    Hi,
    just few inputs from me, just hoping it would be helpful, the easiest thing you can do are :
    1) download jdev 11.1.2 version, there you can select new skin file, drag and drop component and play around, and then go to source, you will see code you made in design. see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/user.1112/e17456/adfsg_selectors.htm for more details.
    2) use http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/components/skinningKeys/menu.jspx , and play around and and click print content to see the generated code.
    You can copy generated code and use in your jdev 11.1.1.4 version or wtever version :)
    The main idea here is, you have to know the skin selector for each component.
    for example for af:menu component you css selector would be
    af|menu {
    and again, for menu bar item selector is :
    af|menu::bar-item{
    for hover :
    af|menu::bar-item:highlighted{
    background-color: #959595 !important;
    Just to give me head up,
    for af:commandButton => af|commandButton{ }
    for af:breadcrumb => af|breadcrumb{}
    and so forth
    and each of these has psedo selector such as :selected , :highlighted ::menu-item-text but each component will have different different psedo selector ...
    eg :
    af|commandMenuItem::bar-item:depressed
    af|commandMenuItem::bar-item:highlighted
    af|commandMenuItem:highlighted::menu-item-open-indicator
    af|menuBar::overflow-indicator
    af|breadCrumbs::step:selected
    af|breadCrumbs::step
    go through this link for all different selector and psedo selectors
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B25221_05/web.1013/e18745/skin-selectors.html

  • Stand-alone data tables, no ODBC drivers

    Using only Java, is it possible to create, populate, index and query stand-alone data tables without the use of any ODBC drivers or DBMS? At work we cannot install such software on our workstations. However, I do have JDK2 installed and working fine. I have compiled code which can open a raw, unformatted, non-delimited text file, filter for desired elements and write those elements to strings. What I need to do is write those elements to data tables, then perform lookups, selects, updates, etc on those tables. This will all be totally self-contained on one pc.

    It would help to know more about the context.
    For example Oracle doesn't use ODBC drivers, but obviously you have to buy and install Oracle.
    On the other hand, there are other databases that are free or have limited licenses that allow for cheap purchases. For example Interbase and MySQL. There might even be some written entirely in java.
    Finally there are probably some limited file based indexing systems which stay away from databases and JDBC completely. They don't allow nearly as much power as the other types.

    hi,
    i've got stand alone persistance in my java project, so im using PU with query language, last time i was snffing my ethernal interface, and noticed that queries are like a simple text, if there is any easy way to secure this informations? can persistence manager use JSSE? do you have some suggestions about any solutions? in my point i dont want to do lots of code modifications instead of saying PU to use some secure connection...

    em.getTransaction().begin();
    em.createQuery("Select p FROM Person p").getResultList()and my persistence

  • How to align prompts for a stand alone report

    I have an OBIEE analysis with prompts. This is a stand alone report and not a report on the dashboard.
    This report has various different prompts each with a different text. Due to which they dont align .
    For example
    (dash is a prompt box)
    Product Name= ___________________
    Product Description contains any ________________
    Batch Number= __________________
    Destination City contains any _________________
    But what I want is to have spaces between the prompt and prompt box so that it align correctly.
    Can this be done just from  the prompts tab in the report?
    Thanks

    hi
    why dont u use Prompt Display  to "Place label on side of prompt" ?? . it will align automatically.

  • Stand alone labview application (.exe file) does not run properly

    Hi all,
    I am trying to make a stand alone labview application to run on another computer ( I have never done this before).
    I went through the tools->build application prompts and was able to build an exe file.
    the program is supposed to control a power meter and make power measurements then save them to a text file.
    When I run the exe file, on the same computer I compiled the exe file on, the program generates a text file to save data to but it can not communicate with the power meter.
    There are some sub-VIs and a dll file that are used to communicate with the power meter. Could it be that I am not telling labview to correctly
    include these files when I create an executable?
    What are some common problems that occur when generating stand alone applications that could be causing my issues?
    And does anyone know of any good tutorials on generating stand alone applications in labview other than the NI help files?
    Thanks for your help,

    I haven't tried to run this app on another computer yet. I'm just trying to run it on the computer it was developed on.
    The computer I developed it on has all the drivers/resources I need to control the power meter.
    Also, I don't know how to include the VISA runtime with my installer. could you explain how this is done?
    This is the first time IV tried to turn any labview programs into stand alone exe files so I don't anything about how to do it other than what I've seen in youtube videos and help files.
    If you know of any good tutorials that will help me figure this out I would appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    My fault - I didn't read that this was the same computer.  I know the very end of Core 3 studies shows how to build an executable and installer, but even that is very general.  I'm not sure if there exists a tutorial on how to do it.
    As for including the runtimes, when you build an installer, you have to include the runtimes that your executable will need.  It's fairly straightforward.
    Since it won't run on the machine that built it, I'll have to think about it a little bit...

  • How do you deploy a stand alone app/game in java

    I have a few questions regarding creating a stand alone app for java.
    1) What is the best way to deploy it? how would I create the exe, etc. I've read that you can create executable jars but this doesn't seem like something that would be user friendly
    2) Is there a way to deploy the game/app with it's own JVM so the hosts machine doesn't have to have it installed? How would I go about doing this?
    3) How would I run the app in full screen? What libraries are available?
    Any other advice/comments welcome.

    @morgair: There are plenty of good reasons for using Java to develop software, even when you only plan on targeting Windows. As good as Java distribution is there is no way to guarantee that they a) have Java installed and more likely b) have the version you target installed. Telling a user that they need to go to a second website in order to download and install more software is a huge turn off.
    Most PC users have no experience with a .jar so when they download it they just don't know what to do (even if all they need to do is double-click just like a .exe). Giving out an executable .jar is another turnoff.
    sarcasteak wrote:
    1) What is the best way to deploy it? how would I create the exe, etc. I've read that you can create executable jars but this doesn't seem like something that would be user friendlyIn terms of the .exe, Java does not create .exe's. There are some java to native compilers that will turn your java code into a natice .exe that will run on it's own or with a bundled library. However they are either old, buggy and badly supported, or extremely expensive (googling Java native compiler should give you some good results). There are also plenty 'java to exe' pieces of software. Rather then compiling the java code to native code they wrap the .jar up inside a .exe. When you run the .exe it unpacks the .jar and runs it. To the user it looks like a .exe, however it's still just an executable jar and still requires Java to be pre-installed on their machine in order to run (although some can offer custom error messages if Java is not found).
    If Java is setup, then executable jars are essentially act the same as exe's. For creating them, if you are using NetBeans then they are already available in the project/dist folder after you build. You can also do it on the command line but I never need to so I don't know how. However as a tutorial [this site looks promising|http://neptune.netcomp.monash.edu.au/javahelp/howto/jar.htm].
    I personally use a small .exe which I built using the D programming language. It reads from a text file in the same directory and executes each line in turn. Typically all the text file contains is 'java -jar MyProg.jar'. This way my .jars for the user looks like a .exe.
    Instead of a .exe you could also use a .bat. There are also some .bat to .exe converters online, although I haven't tried any of them so use at your own risk.
    sarcasteak wrote:
    2) Is there a way to deploy the game/app with it's own JVM so the hosts machine doesn't have to have it installed? How would I go about doing this?Yes, you are allowed to redistribute the Sun Java runtime. Just zip up the JRE on your machine and include it with the app/game. You'll also need to ensure that whatever starts the jar uses your unzipped JRE and not the JRE on their machine. The exe I described above also allows this by having the text file contain something like: './my_jre/bin/java -jar MyProg.jar'.
    But first you should also take a look at the license restrictions, they should be in the JREs directory. For example you must redistribute the complete JRE which is a problem if your app is just a few megabytes (when zipped the runtime is usually over 30mb). There are probably plenty of topics on this forum which already discuss redistribution of the JRE.
    sarcasteak wrote:
    3) How would I run the app in full screen? What libraries are available?If it's an app then it should be approximately:
    JFrame frame = new JFrame();
    frame.setExtendedState(JFrame.MAXIMIZED_BOTH);or;
    JFrame frame = new JFrame();
    frame.setExtendedState(frame.getExtendedState() | JFrame.MAXIMIZED_BOTH);However if you want a proper full screen then you need to use the [Full-Screen exclusive mode|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/extra/fullscreen/exclusivemode.html], approximately:
    JFrame frame = new JFrame();
    GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment().getDefaultScreenDevice().setFullScreenWindow( frame );I've also heard plenty of people recommend using java web-start for desktop java apps. Personally I've never used it, but it's something you might want to research.
