Any one has the address to FCE update to obtain a stand alone updater.
Haveing two Macs, two licenses - non connected to internet.
In need of updater eg. as FinalCut Studio Pro suite.
Anyone knows ?

For Final Cut Studio 2. One register and then can download the updates.
I did and it works greatly.
Can't find similar to Final Cut Express 4.
Working with different projects and people I need to update without moving
the Mac around (several kilograms). We have two Macs at different locations and each
has a valid license. Non has Internet locally.
Movie is on an external hard disk that we exchange to do each his own part.

Installing Stand-Alone Update downloaded and burned to CD

I have an eMac and I am running 10.3.5. Since I have a dialup connection, updating to 10.3.9 could not be done since the download time was estimated at NINE HOURS!
So, using another Mac at the school, I downloaded the stnad alone combo update and burned it to a CD.
Before I muck anything up, when I go to install the update on my eMac, do I drag the installer from the CD to the desktop and then install? Or do I install directly from the disk?
And, will this work?

I am not sure what you mean by "disk image." I already have the 10.3.9 combo installer loaded on a CD which I burned on the computer where I downloaded the combo update.
Are you saying I should save the installer--what I assume is the "disk image," which I would have dragged from the CD to the desktop, to say, a flash drive or the hard drive?

Stand alone iPod updater?

I keep my iPod at work to listen to at work. The problem is that the music store is firewalled. I hooked up my iPod to the computer and it said there was new software. I tried to download it, but it was firewalled. Is there a stand alone updater? Thanks

No I was able to download and install iTunes 7. That wasn't the problem. The problem is that once I connect my iPod it wants to connect through the music store it seems. When it does that it hits my school district's fire wall and cannot download the updater.

After the most recent update, I can no longer access stand alone GPS services. What's up with that? I am now forced to use google location services which use up some of my data allotment.

ddmathias, I want to make sure all services are working correctly on your phone. What GPS services were you using before the update happened? What kind of issues are you having with the services? Do you get any kind of errors? Please keep us posted.

Your 2009 iMac’s fastest port is FW800 and an SSD will be somewhat faster than the internal drive but it won’t provide anything close to the full benefit of an internal SSD or the newer faster USB3 and Thunderbolt interfaces. For example FW800 provides roughly half the bandwidth of USB 3. Installing an SSD internally isn’t for the feint of heart and it requires a couple special tools including suction cups to remove the glass front. But if you have a local independent Apple reseller you can almost certainly get it done there.
If you do decide to investigate this, I’d recommend going with a 128GB drive which would ensure you have plenty of room for the operating system and all your Applications and temporary files. Then use an external FW drive for user directories. You are likely to find the 64GB drive to be quite cramped.

Just launch CC and point to the older catalog. CC will update it and save the original intact. Might want to keep the older catalog and LR 5.7 for awhile, once you update the catalog for CC, it cannot be read in the older version.

Update Stand Alone

I have the same project on 3 to 4 Primavera stand alone. Once each contractors schedule is built I will import each portion to the mater schedule. Weekly each contractor will update there schedule on their stand alone. What is going to be the best way to get their updates into the master schedule. I know I can get PDF and hard key updates into the Master but that seems inefficient. It was suggested using reflection so I made a test project. I can email the reflection XER out but when I get them emailed back I do not get the option "Update existing". I can get XER file from each contractor but every time I import it will only change Contractor A but clear Contractor B update.

In order to update an existing project via import you must first open the project to be updated, then select File>Import and under import action you will be able to select Update Existing Project.
If using a reflection you must be sure to export out the reflection and import into that same reflection, only then will you have the ability to merge back into the source.

Turns out that when my iPod Touch was restored, the restrictions had been turned ON for Facebook and several other apps. This is what was preventing the Facebook app from accessing my Camera Roll for picture downloads. This is odd since all of my iPod backups would not have had those settings turned on. This is also the first time this has occurred given the few times I've had to restore my iPod Touch.
Anyway if you experience the same behavior from your iPod or iPhone with iOS 8.0.2, just go to the General settings and review your settings under Restrictions. Once you set them to allow for changes, you should be back in business.

Download LR 5.5 as stand-alone

I am using LIghroom 5.4 and have heard about the updated version 5.5 which I would like to download and install as it worked fine since I started using LR as from version 3.
I want to use it as a stand-alone program and have no interest to join the Adobe cloud.
How and from where can I download the latest update without installing the cloud desktop software?

found the solution myself:
I went to the download page , pressed on the the windows version of LR 5.5 (german in my case). This opened up a text page with links. Here you scroll down (press page down couple of times) until you see Downloads, and here you press "Proceed to download" which will download the 920 MB exe file on the local harddrive.
I got frustrated because I missed that I had to scroll down so far, so all I ended up a couple of times was the cloud installer.
For amateurs this is not the way how I will continue. I will stick to LR as long as it is offered as a stand-alone program. I am not willing to go into the cloud and make it a cash cow for adobe....

You don't need to be attached to the cloud constantly for the newer versions to work. They only have to connect once every four months or so. I believe they also offer enterprise/government versions that don't require a connection at all, but you would have to contact Adobe sales to find out about that. Also, you can pay in yearly increments instead of monthly (and there may be more options for government versions).
The only perpetual licenses you can get are for CS6 and equivalent versions, but nothing newer.

Ive uploaded firefox 4 and now I cant access messenger from the browser, it say unavailable, but it works as a stand alone prog.. cant find a setting to reactivate.. Please advise TY!

So to answer your question directly. No, you can't just transfer your site to another hosting company.

Deployment problem from Jdev (V 11.1.2.0.0) to stand alone weblogic v10.03

My environment is Win 2008 server 64. I'm trying to deploy to a stand alone server. I added the adf runtime libraries following:

you can't run jdev 11.1.2 apps on a wls 10.3.4 server. The adf runtime libraries are different and you get exactly the error you see. Spare your time trying to get it running...
The sherman patch (patch 12611176) is only available via http://support.oracle.com/ (you need avalid support contract). If you really want to use 11.1.2 apps you have to update your wls server to 10.3.5 first, then apply the patches...
If you can't update you have to user jdve 11.1.1.4.0 together with wls10.3.4

Issue while deploying dynamic region to stand alone server

In my application there is one page I have panel splitter, where i have drag and dropped menu-taskflow as regionModel, and created dynamic region on second facet panel.

This settings are working fine when i run application with integrated web logic server, When I deployed my application to stand alone server, its giving me exception as

I tried to update bindings with data level binding as

Cannot install Applcations in Stand-Alone Media image

Since updating from SCCM 2012 R2 to CU3 i have not been able to get our Stand-Alone media to work.
The Task Sequence is running fine until it gets to the install of the SCCM client. The installation of the client runs and then it restarts and then it runs it again, but when the task is done it goes to the login screen of Windows and ignores all the steps
which comes after the client install.
I have put in some alerts in order to find out exactly where is fails and the alert which runs prior to the client install is shown but the alert immediately after the install is never run.
I am beginning to supect that the client install is failling.
I have updated the package on the DP wihthout success.

Could you try adding a delay in the task sequence after the reboot, I have experienced a number of problems with SCCM 2012 R2 and reboots in task sequences. Microsoft Premier Support recommend creating a 5 minute delay. A shorter one may resolve the problem,
I would recommend trying this first.
The other thing to check is how are you preparing you boot media are you using a usb, if so is it formatted to NTFS or FAT32, I would always recommedn NTFS

How can i download a stand alone version of adobe reader 9.5.2 for windows XP

I can download the .msp for 9.5.2 but this will not install on Windows XP. I need to download a stand alone version for deployment to client machines.
Please help.
