Standalone security with no data level restrictions - doesn't work

I am attempting to set up some new users in our OBIEE 7.9.6 - 10.1.3.4.1 implementation.
I created the new users ids in the RPD, and granted access to a couple groups - ie. HR Analyst.
I then refreshed the server, logged in as administrator and made sure the user did not have presentation services access.
I then logged in as the new user. Unfortunately not all the reports execute. I get errors on some reports that run if I login as Administrator and execute them.
The most common error is a view display error - a numeric value was expected(recieved "0") ...
any ideas? we are just trying to allow users to review reports prior to the integration with oracle 11i

Thanks that helps, now that I have it all working in one environment I tried to copy the webcat and rpd to our UAT environment.
Everything works except it puts all the subject areas back to everyone can access via answers. Not sure why it does that.
I have tried everything. I have migrated both the RPD and the WEBCAT made sure the services were stopped when I did the copy.
Anyone have any ideas what causes this. We need to be able to migrate to mulitple environments.

My CS4 is on my computer under "Previous System." I am unable to open it from there and I do not want to attempt migrating it for reasons noted above. I did try to reinstall it as you suggested to hbrady67 by dowloading from CS4 products with my serial number but I got this message: "Upgrade Check We looked in the default location for qualifying products installed on the machine, but none were found. You may verify upgrade eligibility now by completing the fields to the right. 1) Select a product you already own. 2) Enter a serial number for this product. CS4 wasn't in the list of selections. I found the solution to this problem. I was able to download the trial version of what I have and enter the serial number from there. However, it still asked for a serial number from previous software: "your setup is for an upgrade version of Adobe Creative Suite 4." (I entered the serial number that I have for CS2. Try this and see if it helps.
Settings>Safari>Clear cookies and data.
Now close Safari completely. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then "swipe up" or "drag up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! Just thought that I'd report that I've decided on my solution.
It seems that just making do with what I can find on the US store is the easiest and perhaps also the best way of going about it. All other methods mean trouble. I'm lucky that China hasn't outright blocked the US store, as they HAVE blocked iTunes music store in China already (something about a song about Tibet caused them to block the store entirely).
So yeah, just going to deal with it I guess. I should be grateful I'm getting anything at all, considering the country I'm in. Still, I just feel so ripped off sometimes when I pay for expensive devices and I can't even get much out of them do to my region. iPhones cost around $700 in China because there's no company like AT&T that you can just sign a contract with to get one, so you have to pay up-front for the phone, and get less features out of it in the end. Makes buying smart phones look like a waste of time and money sometimes, since you can't use the device to do what it was built to do due to censorship and not having any content for your region (though they do have a lot of Chinese apps that I can't use due to not knowing Chinese).

Make sure the silent switch is not set to mute. If you can see the red dot, it is on mute.
It may think you have headphones plugged in, try plugging and unplugging a wired headset a few time.
The next step would be to restore as new.
If none of that works, a warranty exchange would be the resolution.

Check in dialog with Adobe Drive 4.2 doesn't work

Hi,
we are currently implementing a custom check-in dialog using Adobe Drive 4.2.
The dialog looks like the example given in discussion "Custom check in dialog".
To build the SWF, I use Flash Builder 4.5 with Adobe Flex SDK 4.0.0 (flex_sdk_4.0.0.14159A).
I have created a new Flex Project with Application type "Web" and added a MXML Modul with name "CustomUI" and option "Do not optimize (module can be loaded by multiple applications)".
After compiling the project I extract the "CustomUI.swf" and copy the file in the "resources" folder of my Custom Adobe Drive adapter.
I implement the "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler", "ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" and "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler":
"IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" sets the module url like
response.setModuleURL(Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource("resource s/CustomUI.swf"));
"ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" enables the custom ui dialog with
response.setCanEnable(true);
"IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" adds some context data like
Map<String, Object> contextInfo = new HashMap<String, Object>();
contextInfo.put("key1", "test1");
response.setContextInfo(contextInfo);
(Also hidding the "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" in "IRemoteHandlerFactory" doesn't work.)
Right click on an checked out asset in Windows Explorer and click on "Adobe Drive 4/Check in..." does following:
1. "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" called
2. "ICanEnableCustomCheckInUIHandler" called
3. "IGetCustomCheckInUIHandler" once more called
4. "IGetCustomCheckInUIContextInfoHandler" called
5. The default check in dialog is shown (with no custom ui extension), the default dialog hangs (OK/Cancel doesn't react on click, the dialog is freezed). Only the close button (X in the right upper corner) works.
How is it possible to provide a custom ui check in dialog?

Hi again.
I found where the problem was (at least in my case).
To go to the point: go in the "properties" of your flex project. In the menu, go in "Flex Build Path" and then in "Library Path". Then, the option "Framework linkage" is with the default value in a new flex project.
So here is the trick : with Flex 3 (so Adobe Drive 3), the default value is "merged into code". Bug in the Flex 4 (so Adobe Drive 5), the default value is "Runtime Shared Library".
And because the module is ran independently (with no link with the flex code that load your module), the flash player crashes because it doesn't find your libraries (like ICustomCheckinUI).
I discovered this problem running the Custom UI from the windows explorer (not with Bridge) and using the Flash Player Debug version, and watching the error log files of the Flash Player.
So in the end, when I checked "merged into code" in the Framework Linkage option, all my dependencies of my flex module were merged into my final module swf, and no more flash crash.

Data Driven Test doesn't work in coded UI

I have written my first coded ui data driven test (Visual Studio 2012). Although the test ran and was marked passed. I don't think it actually did anything.
I have 2 fields (Input and Output) on my csv file.
n my app, I want to enter the input field in a field called GoTo which is an UITbedit field, hit enter. This should open another window where I want to validate the window title = to my Output
Here is my code

During playback, it appeared that the coded ui test had looped through the csv file, but it didn't actually write anything to the edit field that I was testing.

The application appears to loop through the file, but it is placing my original entered test "1" in the edit field during both iterations. The playback is slow enough that I can see what is being entered. It doesn't seem to be replacing the

"Move Current Track Automation Data to Region" doesn't work for all

I have been using the 'Move Current Track Automation Data to Region' and while it works fine for some types of automation data like channel volume, pan and some plugin parameters, it doesn't work for all of them.
I haven't done exhaustive research into which parameters work and which don't, but most of the parameters for individual voices within Ultrabeat don't - which is annoying as that is what I was trying to use it for.
Any ideas about this, or workarounds?

OK, well an update on this in case anyone's interested.
With some further experimentation I have discovered that this problem did not exist in Logic 7 - ie you can move current track automation data for individual Ultrabeat voices to the region.
It's also possible to move automation data for individual Ultrabeat voices using 'Move All Track Automation Data to Region,' so I suppose this is a kind of workaround, though it can be annoying if you don't want to move all track automation data.
I'm now assuming this is a bug in Logic 8; is there any way to convert a Logic 8 project to work in Logic 7, as this along with the touch tracks bug is making working in Logic 8 very frustrating?

Receiveing data over RTP doesn't work

First of all , excuse my english.....it really sucks

I modified the JMStudio source to suit my needs.....leaving just what i needed.The application works......it sends data just fine but it does't receives it.I tried to rewrite the function thousand of times in different modes but it doesn't work.

I'm just going to point you in the direction of some sample code...

Go look at their "initialize" function and figure out what the sample code is doing that you aren't...
And remember, it could simply be a matter of doing something wrong with IP address... You can't use 127.0.0.1 for RTP transmissions, and you can't broadcast to the same computer if your transmit code is binding the destination port as the transmission port. IE, if you tell it to broadcast to the remote computer on port 2600, and it uses the local port 2600 to broadcast on...then you won't be able to read from port 2600 on the local computer.

Instant client 10.2.0.3 used with ms sql linked server doesn't work

Hi,
instant client version 10.2.0.3 doesn't work as microsoft sql linked server (both 2000, 2005) while 10.2.0.1 does. (tested by overwriting files in instant client directory - basic instalation, then restart mssql services) - the message is, that the oracle client is not installed when running sql (registration of linked server is ok).
Is it a known issue or is there any workaround?
(Windows XP, 2003, MS SQL 2005, MS SQL 2000, Oracle 9.2.0.6)

I installed oracle-instantclient-basic-10.2.0.3-1.i386.rpm on a redhat box to
connect oracle database server 9.2.0.8.0 install on win box.Is there any other Oracle software installed on the RedHat machine?
In which directory did you install Instant Client?
Can you login with sqlplus?
On the database server, I defined parameters like this :
NLS_DATE_FORMAT='YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'
NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS='. 'This will have no effect on your problem - these are client environment variables.
Before starting apache (lampp) I set Oracle environement like this :
export NLS_DATE_FORMAT='YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'

I check my oracle_home, I don't think I make a mistake?It seems that Oracle cannot find the instant client shared library libociei.so.
This library must be found in LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
In this context it would be interesting to know (as I asked above) if any other Oracle products are installed on this machine.
