Standard Attributes type should be editable

Hello Spicework,
Please provide this facility in next update. SO that i can edit the type of Standard Attributes.
As i knonw the location is basic mandatory Attributes, But it should be editable from text to list.
Because any administrator don't want to use custom attributes for location again.

The evolution of the Nexus: introductionThe Google Nexus phone has, in many ways, helped revolutionise the mobile market in much the same way that the Apple iPhone has. The Nexus devices may not have set the world alight in terms of sales, but they have served as important reference points for Android manufacturers. And some of them have been rather good.Apple's iPhone has undoubtedly been the catalyst that has changed the mobile market in ways that would have seemed so radical a few years back. If it wasn't for the iPhone, we might well have seen Android looking a lot more like the OS that graced BlackBerry devices.The Google Nexus One was not the first Android phone to market, that was the T-Mobile G1. With manufacturers still seemingly unconvinced about creating devices for its new mobile OS, Google introduced the Nexus One to show...

  • Modifying standard material type configuration provided by SAP

    I was recently involved in a discussion regarding whether or not to modify sap provided material types (e.g. FERT)
    My position was that SAP provided material type configuration should not be modified, instead a z-version of the standard material type should be copied over to a z-version or a y-version (FERT copied as ZFRT), configurations changes made the z-version. My position was based on the following considerations:-
    Reference to the original
    Possible implication at the time of future releases or upgrades - In Some of my previous projects this was a reason why the standard material type configurations were never touched
    Hence I am curious to know if there a more current or correct position on this topic.

    Hi Jose,
    You are absolutely correct that standard material type should not be changed as you can always reference to the original if you want to create a new material type by copying the old ones. I too have seen ZFRT and FERT.
    I go by creating a Z one, as I have always the option to reference the original Material Type. As the above members have already replied the same.
    It is very easy to check the material type like FERT, ROH etc. However, say you have changed the settings for standard material type like FHMI, LEIH, VERP etc and you want to create a new material type by referencing any of the above, you will need to check client 000 (as referred by Jurgen) to check what Pricing control it have S or V. What Item Category is in original. What selection of views are there in original etc. you always have a better edge to check from the originals if you do not change them.

  • Header condition type should not be editable at item level

    Hi gurus,
    could  you please help me with the following question.
    Our requirement is to provide header discounts manually at header level which should not be editable at item level. So I've created condition type as Header condition.
    When we manually add this condition at header level in Sales order, it is copied to the item level and is not editable there.
    But after saving the SO, we find that the header discounts appearing at the item level becomes editable.
    Kindly  advice how to make the condition type as non-editable at item level.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sunny.

    hi Sunny,
    please check your condition type for discount in section 'Changes which can be made', wheather it used only for the header level or item level or both of it.
    if you want to make the condition is not editable in item level, then you must made the condition type just for the header level.
    beside changing the configuration in the condition type, you can protect it via BADI but it needs more programming.
    if you insist to use the BADI, you can made the implementation of class CRM_ORDER_FIELDCHECK BADI
    hopes it helps
    cheers

  • Standard mime type for .acsm file

    What is the standard mime type that should be used for an .acsm file?
    Is it this? - application/vnd.adobe.adept+xml
    I can see few eBook sellers sharing this mime type: application/vnd.adobe.adept (without the +xml).  I can see in such cases few of the free reader apps availbale in android / iOS are not recognizing the file.
    Pl advice.
    Thanks, Sundar

    I believe from looking around on the web, just the following is used:
    application/xml

  • DBSequence not available as attribute type

    Hello, I'm developing a JSF, ADF BC web app on JDev 10.1.3.3.0.4157 for use offline with Oracle Lite. The form is pretty basic: an enter/edit person/employee form with a few drop down lists. Essentially, only one table -- EMPLOYEE -- will be referenced for insertion. After I go through the initial wizard to create the entity/view objects, I open the EMPLOYEE entity and go to EMPLOYEE_ID under attributes so that I can assign it the type DBSequence since it is primary key. However, in the attribute type list, DBSequence is not an option.
    Now, on the initial setup when I ran "Business Components from Tables", you are asked for some connection info for SQL Flavor and Type Map. Per the documentation provided in the Oracle Lite developers guide, I chose OLite for SQL Flavor and Java for Type Map. Could this have to do with the unavailability of DBSequence?
    Is there some workaround for this? The last thing I have tried is setting the attribute for "Default" to the value -9999. I then created a before insert DB trigger that says if the employee_id = -9999 then select <emp id sequence>.nextval. When I run the page, though, i get the error: JBO-28203: Failed to refresh the row being updated. Values not set for Primary/Unique key or these keys are modified by databse triggers.
    Thanks in advance.

    This is the key difference between the master data and transaction data.
    Every record in the fact table should segment value. How do you populate that? Reading the Ptable will not give you the result. How do you link the result that you obtain from reading the P table to the source_package?
    You need to enhance the data source. or, if you can figure out a way to make sengment as an attribute of another characteristic that is contained in the transaction data source, then you ae fine, without enhancement. Perform a data analysis again and see if you can do this.

    Adobe flash CS6 crashes when using the type tool or Editing word all the time... please help!

    Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. The standard answer with all text issues simply is, that you have a "bad font" on your system and need to get rid of it.

  • Manual Condition Type should be visible in Sales order by default

    Hi
    How to maintain manual condition types in Sales orders by default. They will be maintaining the value based on the discussion they had with the customer(Negotiated price). The condition type should be visible in the procedure and they will only enter the value.(The method of keying condition type manually is not accepted by the client).
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Vamsi Javaji.

    Hi,
    In the PRICING PROCEDURE V/08 maintain the CONDITION TYPE as Mandatory
    In the CONDITION TYPE V/06 maintain the field  MANUAL ENTRIES  as C which is Manual entry has a priority.
    And check the box VALUE
    Now maintain the condition records for the condition type in VK11 with 0 value
    Now while processing the sales order the CONDITION TYPE will trigger from the CONDITION RECORDS with 0 value and this can be in EDITABLE mode ( and maintain the value)because of the check box VALUE you flagged in V/06.
    Please try this and revert back if you need further details
    thanks,

  • Font licensing and EULA: Adobe Type Basics OpenType Edition

    Hi all,
    I'm not necesarilly working with graphic design daily. However, I may have to replicate a design for a publication that uses Adobe Garamond Pro, which is why I got interested in Adobe - Fonts : Adobe Type Basics OpenType Edition.
    However, before I shell out the cash, I'd like to ask a few questions about related EULA's and font licensing issues - as the last thing I want to do is buy something, and then end up sued/financially destroyed/imprisoned anyways. (which is why I prefer with open fonts & software - at least no worries about prison, in case of misunderstanding the legalese)
    So, here are the questions:
    I am a Linux user, and I primarily intent to use the fonts with xelatex. On the download page, there are two options: "Win" and "Mac". Which one should I choose? Related question: Adobe Forums: Install a Mac font on a PC:Windows can use OpenType, Windows Type1 and Windows TrueType fonts. Windows cannot directly read Mac TrueType or Mac Type1 fonts.
    Macintosh can use OpenType, Mac Type1, Mac TrueType, and Win TrueType. Adobe products can read some Windows Type 1 fonts if installed in the correct folder.
    Versions - possibly unrelated, but I've found this old comment from 2003 for 'Adobe Type Basics 5.0 Mlp (CD-ROM)':Unfortunately, this product includes fonts in the older PostScript "Type 1" font format instead of the newer OpenType format. Adobe sells an OpenType edition of Adobe Type Basics, but this is a download-only product. I wish Adobe would sell the OpenType Edition on CD.... so just to make sure: I would definitely download the OpenType if I buy from the above  Adobe - Fonts : Adobe Type Basics OpenType Edition link, right?
    Re-download - the Adobe Type Basics page doesn't mention the file format of the download, nor its size. With bought fonts, I'd consider installing whatever I need for as long as project lasts, then deleting everything from my computer, since I don't like proprietary stuff sitting on it. Thus, I'd be interested in re-donwloading the Adobe Type Basics package. So is this package a zip file or similar, if so - how big is it? Can I download the file multiple times after purchase? Is the number of times I can redownload limited?
    I may have to do (in a role of page layouter for an academic institution) a document for a relatively big academic publisher (Springer); and I have little idea about how font licensing works there. Let's say I prepare a PDF which uses Adobe Garamond Pro, and embeds that font. Is it legal for me to just send that document to the publisher for printing, if I had purchased the Basics OpenType edition? I'm worried because I found in Adobe Forums: Install a Mac font on a PC:As I understand it, print service providers are required by the font EULA to own the font even though the customer provides it.
    I suggest you ask your customer to purchase the modern OpenType versions of the fonts. ... but then, Springer are "publishers", not "printers"? How worried should I be about this? Should I ask for confirmation in writing from them, that they own the particular embedded font? Then again, since in this case I'd be working for an academic institution as page layouter, should the academic institution also buy the font? If the academic institution already owns the font, am I legally obliged to own it as a page layouter (even if I'd use that font on the institutions computers with licensed fonts on them)? I'm pretty sure I'd be legally obliged to own it if I intend to prepare the layout on my own computer, is that correct?
    The download page mentions for "End User License": 5 computers. Say I install one Adobe Garamond Pro on one computer, use it there for the duration of a project, and then delete it from the computer. Is this computer then still counted towards the number of seats?
    Occasionally, I have my personal notes and such typeset in Latex, and here I send them to a printer (as in, "print service provider") to print 2-3 copies in softcover for personal use. As far as I understand it, this does not represent a "published" book (and so there isn't a "publisher" institution as in the Springer example above). So, in this case, again the same situation: let's say I prepare a PDF which uses Adobe Garamond Pro, and embeds that font. Is it legal for me to just send that document to the print house for printing, if I had purchased the Basics OpenType edition? How worried should I be about this?

    If you want Adobe Type Basics OpenType edition, then the fonts support multiple platforms.  OpenType fonts work on Mac, Win and Linux systems.
    Versions - possibly unrelated, but I've found this old comment from 2003 for 'Adobe Type Basics 5.0 Mlp (CD-ROM)':Unfortunately, this product includes fonts in the older PostScript "Type 1" font format instead of the newer OpenType format. Yes, the Adobe Type Basics Open Type Edition would provide you with OpenType versions of the fonts.  Sorry that we don’t offer all the different fonts, font families and variations on CD-ROM, but it would be cost-prohibitive to make all those versions, and font software is relatively small compared to application software.  That said, Our font EULA (End User License Agreement) which can be found at: http://www.adobe.com/type/browser/legal/pdfs/wf_EULA071111/EULA5seat_USEnglish07.11.11.htm l states: “2.5 Backup Copy. You may make a reasonable number of backup copies of the Software, provided your backup copies are not installed or used for other than archival purposes.” So you can make your own CD-ROM.
    Re-download - the Adobe Type Basics page doesn't mention the file format of the download, nor its size. The file format is OpenType (CFF).  I would recommend making a backup copy of these fonts if you don’t want to keep them on your system.  Our Electronic Software Download service is not meant to be used for storage.

    Wow!  Lots of questions here.  First of all, publishers publish.  Printing is just one form of publishing.  Embedding information for Adobe fonts can be found at the following:
    http://www.adobe.com/type/browser/legal/additional_licenses.html
    http://www.adobe.com/type/browser/info/embedding.html
    If you send a file to a print service provider and send a copy of the font along as well, then the printer needs to own a valid copy themselves.  If you send the print service provider a PDF version of the file, then you can embed the font in the PDF (but you would not send the a raw version of the font).  In this case, the printer doesn’t need the font, because it is embedded in the document.
    The download page mentions for "End User License": 5 computers. Say I install one Adobe Garamond Pro on one computer, use it there for the duration of a project, and then delete it from the computer. Is this computer then still counted towards the number of seats?
    If you buy a license for Adobe Garamond Pro, you have up to 5 seats.  So, it can be installed on a maximum of five computers at your company.  It is that simple to be in compliance.  If you were to obtain Adobe Garamond  Pro by purchasing Adobe Type Basics OpenType Edition, then you can install the entire set on up to five computers at your company.  You are licensing the set, and the fonts cannot be split up and used across multiple users at your company.
    Yes.  It is legal to send the document to a print service provider with the font embedded in PDF.  You are printing a document, and your interpretation of what it means to “publish” or be a “publisher” is not relevant.  The words don’t even appear in our EULA.

  • Access to Attribute Type via Java API

    Hi,
    I'm writing an aplication in Java to access out OLAP schema and display certain DIMENSION/LEVEL and ATTRIBUTE values. This is working out really well but I'm hitting one issue at the moment which has me stumped.
    When I display a Dimension value in a table I want to default the attribute we display to a sensible display value. In AWM there is a field "Attribute Type" which offers drop down selections for "User", .... "Member Short Description", "Member Long Description"...
    See the General Tab under Attributes for a particular Attribute. Looking at the Help text for the "Member Long Description" I see the following.
    "Long descriptive names typically used by Oracle Business Intelligence tools for displaying dimension members in selection lists, crosstabs, and graphs." Looks perfect for what I want. My Dataware house architect already has an Attribute for each hirearchy
    marked with this property so in theory I should be able to look for the Attribute in the Dimension with this property and bingo I have my default display Atttribute!
    The problem is I seem to be able to find api's to access every aspect of the MdmAttribute object except this particular property.
    Here is a snippet from the OLAP api sample code augmented with some println's of my own:
    if (mdmAttr.getName().equals(name)) {
         System.out.println("Attribute : " + mdmAttr.getID());
         System.out.println(" name : " + mdmAttr.getName());
         System.out.println(" desc : " + mdmAttr.getDescription());
         System.out.println(" s desc: " + mdmAttr.getShortDescription());
         System.out.println(" type : " + mdmAttr.getType());
         System.out.println(" type id: " + mdmAttr.getType().getID());
    return mdmAttr;
    None of the avaiable APIs of MdmAttribute seem to fit the bill.
    The question is ... is there an API somewhere I can call on the MdmAttribute object or an associated object that will give me back the "Attribute Type" as listed in this dropdown. Note that getType returns DataType!String which denotes the fundemental type of the Attribute (int, String etc) rather than this abstract Attribute Type property we need. Not listed here is the getDataType() api which also returns DataType!String and seems to be equivalent to the getType api.
    Regards
    Fergal

    One small clarification if its not already obvious. We are using the OLAP Java api's directly ... not via BI Beans.

  • Standard IDoc Type for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoices - FB60

    What should be the perfect standard IDoc Type for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoice posting. Tcode FB60.
    I found IDoc Type FIDCCP02 but the Function Module 'IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2' for FIDCCP02 is not released.
    In the same way many other standard function modules like - IDOC_INPUT_ACLPAY, IDOC_INPUT_FIDCCH, IDOC_INPUT_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT and few more are not released.
    My question : If at all I have to use standard IDoc Type, Message type and Function module (Released) for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoices, then what should be the solution from SAP ?
    Thanks,
    Veeru.

    Hi,
    IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2 for FIDCCP02 works for us in ECC6.0
    If you want Automatic tax calculation functionality using FIDCCP02.. then FIDCC2 is not correct message type for you. In that case you should probably go for :
    Msg: INVOIC
    Basic type: INVOIC02
    FM: IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_FI
    Process code: INVF

    Hi Guys,
    As i am using the nigtly build of TLF 4.0.0.11073.
    I want to copy some text from the TLF, by copy operation. I am getting this type of Error.
    - Call to a possibly undefined method getClipboardContents through a reference with static type flashx.textLayout.edit:ISelectionManager.
    In the previous build, i dont use to get this type of error, but in this nightly builds i am getting this type of error.
    Can anyone help me to fix the same or any workaound.
    Thanks in advance.
    Krishna

    This functionality is still available, but it has moved. It's now in a TextClipboard class, in the same flashx.textLayout.edit package. So you should replace calls to getClipboardFormat() with TextClipboard.getContents().
    Hope this helps,

  • Document type should always post to specific account type

    Hello experts,
    I have 1 question,  Depeneding on the Document type definition I can post to different account types (S, K, D , M ,A). Assume I created a doc type ZA and checked all the account types then it allows me post to all the account types.
    Here I want the document type ZA to validate one of the line in the document should always be type K (vendor). In short in the combinaton of account types posted to under this document type should always have one specified account type.
    All contributions welcome.
    Thanks,
    KKR

    Hi Eli,
    I am not sure how to do that in this case, I have worked on validations before and I always worked with 'Constants'. If I write
    If Doc type is ZA
    then account type should be 'K'
    But the problem is it wont allow me to post as the other line will always be different, that means a combination K and other than K.
    And we are not sure how many lines going to be there in a GL document.
    Do I nee to look at user exits in validations? If yes, please let me know how can I do that.
    Thanks,

  • Standard Message type

    hi ,
           i am working on creation of Zshipment idoc , which resembles the same as shipment05 idoc  but i have added some zsegments in the custom idoc . My question is whether i can continue using the standard messge type or shall i create an Zmessage type  . kindly suggest
    regards

    Hi Gurunath,
    Just create an extension for your basic type SHPMNT05 in the tcode WE30 and just maintain that extension in the WE20 & WE82 transactions. Make sure that your process code populates the extra ZSEGMENTS which you have created. You can do this through some user exits available in the standard process code. After doing this when you generate the IDOC, you can see the Z segments in your IDOC.
    Refer the below blog on how to create the extension using WE30 transaction.
