  • BI Content extractor for table LFB1?

    HI folks,
I'd happy to know if there is any BI content extractor which is able to extract the LFB1 table contents to BW.
I know there is 0VENDOR_ATTR but it only seems to deal with the "standard" vendor data (like is in table LFA1).
In fact, we are especially looking for the field ALTKN which is stored in the LFB1 table.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
If the field is not there in that datasource try to  enhance to the datasource.

  • Business content extractors

    Hi All,
Why is it suggested to use business content extractors when compared to custom generated extractors? performance ?? if yes, how does it affect...
    can anyone please explain??
    Thanks in advance.
    --Monica

Not really for performance, but because the Business content are predefinited into real scenario of business.
In many case to define a complete scenario (example inventory management or CRM activity...) without BI content you must define houndreds of objects and connect them to the object of source system.
With BI contect (and extractors) you can start with a great part of your object already defined. (after I think you need to define your custom object).
Second the standard extractor will be mantained from SAP to be coerent to the SAP application (inventory management, CRM, ...)
Are these the main reasons to suggest the Business content extractors.

  • BI Content extractor for EORD

    Hi:
Please let me know if we have a BI Content extractor for EORD ( Purchasing Source List ) .
    Thanks.

I would like to have the vendor field from this table.
The extractor 2LIS_03_BF already has been implemented and it contains a vendore field as well.
I am really not sure if this field is good enough as when I contacted one of the MM consultants he has asked me to pick up the same from EORD.
I will have to either find out if there are any standard extractors on this table or I will be left with enhancing the BF extractor. Enhancing will again force me to do a re-init of the entire data if I want to have the historical data for the added field.
Awaiting for some suggestions on this!
    Thanks

  • "Appl specific BW content Extractors" vs "Appl specific Generic Extractors"

whats is the difference between "Appl. specific BC Extractors" and  "Appl. specific Generic. Extractors".
Could someone elaborate from technical, implementation and business scenario perspectives.
    Thanks
    null

    Hi ,
    <b>Application Specific Extractors :</b>
    This is further classified into
    1. Business Content Extractors
    2. Customer Generated Extractors .
    <b>Business Content Extractors :</b>
The applications that uses this are :
    Logistics ( LO ), Finace ( FI ) , HR , CRM ..
SAP provided the predefined data sources , Extractors , Info cubes in Business content data sources . The thing that you have to do is , Instal business Content , <b><i>Activate the SAP Defined data souce</i></b> , Extract the data and send to BI .
    <b>Customer Generated Extractors :</b>
For some application which vary from company to company like LIS , CO-PA ,
FI-SL because of its dependence on organization structure , SAP was not able to provide a standard data source for these application , <i><b>So customer have to generate their own data source</b></i>. But SAP provides other objects like Info Cubes for these . So this is called Customer gnerated Extractors .
    <b>Generic Extractors :</b>
When the requirment of your company could not be acheived by SAP delivered businedd content data source , Then you have to create your own data source that is purely based on your compnays requirment , That is called generic extractors .
Based on the complexity you can create Data source in 3 ways .
    1. Based on Views ( Simple Apllications )
    2. Based on Info set Query
    3. Based on Function Module ( Used in complex extraction ).
Here you have to Create Data source , Info Cube , Etc ...Every thing as new one .

  • Missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA & IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content

    BI Experts,
I'm a basis guy trying to do some research for our BI team.
We are starting an IS-U CCS implementation (on top of existing/running SAP system) and have ECC6.0 EHP3 with IS-U activated in back-end.  The BW system is connected to this ECC instance.
Our BI team says we are having the following problem:
"We need to get the missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA and IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content "
We have a netweaver 7.0 system that was upgraded from 6.20 about 6 months ago.  I recently updated the system to the following support pack levels:
    SAP_ABA 700 18 SAPKA70018
    SAP_BASIS 700 18 SAPKB70018
    PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 8 SAPKIPYM08
    SAP_BW 700 20 SAPKW70020
    BI_CONT 704 1 SAPK-70401INBICONT
Can anyone tell me how I can get these missing DTPs, transformations and IS-U into BI standard content ?  I'm wondering if I need NW7.0 EHP1 for my BI system?
    Thanks,
    Nick

just FYI, sap support is helping us resolve this issue.  First, we loaded the transport from SAP note 1179880 .  That helped give us the content, but still missing some DTPs.
Sap is working on a new support pack to fix our issue.
    Thanks anyway guys,
    nick

  • Find an R/3 table in a Business-Content extractor

    Hi all,
Is there any web site or place I can go, type the name of an R/3 table in, and find if that table exists in a Business Content extractor?
       Thanks.
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
I don't know about any website providing info abt DS, but I know how to find out the extractor,
    Check Table ROOSOURCE (TCode SE16).
If field EXMETHOD = V (Transparent Table or DB View), name of datasource can be searched with field EXTRACTOR containing the table or view name.
In SE 11 you can process the u201Cwhere usedu201D function for a table to determine the views related to it and then search for them.
    Hope this anwer your query.

  • BI-Content Extractor for PS Partner roles?

    Hi all
we are in need to extract PS Partner-roles.
As we could see, data is stored in IHPA and is referenced by the obj-id out of 0PROJECT_ATTR.
So now the question: is there any BI-content-extractor available for extracting IHPA? Unfortunately, we couldn't find anyone so far.
    Thansk & regards
    bivision

    hi
unfortunately, this is not bringing up the partner information.
As IHPA effectively is a PM table - is there any extractor out of this area for extracting data from this table?
    best regards

  • How to find standard contents in SAP BW?

    Hi,
Is there a way to find all SAP Provided standard contents in SAP BW?  For example, let's assume that I'm working on shipment - delivery requirement.  How do I find list of all standard datasources related to this, it's cube/DSO in sap BW?  Here, I get the datasource, 2lis_08trtlp for shipment - delivery.  Like wise, what are all the datasources associated to it?
Kindly suggest on How do I find list of all standard datasources related to this, it's cube/DSO in sap BW? which will be definitely useful for any beginners who are doing development if they get such technical documents.
    Regards,
    Antony Jerald.

    Hello Antony,
For finding out cubes/DSOs related to delivery, shipment etc, you can follow the following steps:
         - go to RSA1
         - go to BI Content from the left pane (where you find Modelling)
         - Now you should see "All objects according to type" in the middle pane, you can now select DSO/Cube according to your requirement.
         - Select Objects and do a ' 0SD* ' search.
you should find standad SD infoproviders using this approach, as 0SD is the standard naming convention for Sales & Distribution.
Infocube           0LES_C13 : Delivery data of shipment stages
    DSO                  0CDS_DS05: Deliveries
0CDS_DS07 : Assignment of Deliveries to Requirements
    the above infoproviders should help!
    Hope this helps!

    Sheen
