Standard Data Collection Failing with Error ORA-04054: database link does not exist.

Hi Gurus,
When I am running Standard Data Collection in ASCP(APS) instance R12.1.3, its failing with error : ORA-04054: database link does not exist.
There is no such Database link exits which is showing in above error.
Also the database link name in the above error is not profile values in the database.
I think, concurrent might be fetching this database link name from some tables related to plan.
I am not having much knowledge about how this ASCP/APS works.
Need your help to resolve this issue.

2. Navigation: Admin > Instances

I am trying to load new jobs.. I have run the fnd_flex_val_api.create_independent_vset_value to load the values into the segments needed.. NREL HR Job Title and NREL HR Job Descriptor and the values are in there.

Getting an error -ORA-20001: FLEX-ID DOES NOT EXIST in migrating Assignment

Hi,
I am working on migration of persons data (Person/Assignment ) etc. in Oracle HRMS. While migration of Assignments data I am getting an error: ORA-20001: FLEX-ID DOES NOT EXIST.
Please help me.

This error occurs as FLEX-ID for different combination for KFFs has not been generated. Therefore while migration your script is unable to fetch the Flex-id as they are not generated. You can work your way around by entering the possible combinations of KFFs for a single employee and eventually entering data for one employee manually.
eg. if for People Group Flexfield there are two segments A and B
A having LOV Corporate and Others
B having LOV Executive and Non Executive
Then you have to enter the possibilities from the frontend for one employee:
Corporate.Executive
Corporate.Non Executive
Others.Executive
Others.Non Executive

hello every one,
when i start the computer the concurrent manager service not started , when i try to start it i have this problem:
"could not start the oracle concmgrvis_orabac service on local computer error:1065 the database specified does not exist."
i restarted computer and tried to stop and start all services more times but no change.
i hope if you can help meplease soon.

maybe recreting the CM will solve your issue
Follow these steps to recreate the concurrent manager service on Windows NT:
1. cd $APPL_TOP
2. dos> envshell.cmd (this opens up a new DOS window. Go to that window and
do the following).
3. cd $COMMON_TOP/admin/install
4. dos> adsvcm.cmd -deinstall (deinstalls the ccm service)
should exit with status '0'
5. dos> adsvcm.cmd
should exit with status '0'
Should see "Successfully installed concurrent manager"
6. Reboot

When I am trying the start the Concurrent Manager [[From Services.msc]] I am getting this error.
Error 1065 The database specified does not exist
I am also not able to connect through SQL* Plus.

API error: Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry

I am trying to create an element using the API_PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRY.CREATE_ELEMENT_ENTRY API
While I am able to create many elements for years this way, for one particular non-recurring element I get the following error
ORA-20001: Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry
Cause: The link has been purged or date effectively deleted.
Action: Check the effective start and end dates on the link definitions for this element.
I have checked evertything and the Link is defined far before my element entry starts and with no end date. The assignment I want to attach this element entry is perfectly eligible.
The weirdest is that I am able to create this element entry with the values I want and the dates I want through standard User interface...
Any idea?

Here mappings are getting executed by calling a pl/sql procedure. This pl/sql procedure is executed every day by scheduling a dbms_job. After the error, the job is in hanging.
Last week also the same error happened, on that occasion , restarted the database and re submitted the job. Mapping executed without any error.

See Note:125860.1 in metalink (and please, lol to solution #3). It applies to older OWB versions though... Are you using DBMS_JOB or OEM to run these mappings? If so, then the metalink note might be useful help.
Karesz, I believe if the source database was down, it would fail with an ORA-12XXX Error.

Dear Experts,
We noticed the error "ORA-15001: diskgroup "FRA" does not exist or is not mounted" on the 2nd node of our 4 nodes RAC database system.
During this weekend, we moved our system to a new data center. After the move was done, we were able to bring up the 4 instances around 3:00 AM. However, 4 hours later (7:00 AM), OEM Grid control alerted us with "archival error" on the 2nd instance. From our investigating, we saw the FRA was dismounted. ORA-15001: diskgroup "FRA" does not exist or is not mounted It is my understanding, that Oracle will automatically mount the diskgroups on the ASM when the instances are started. In our case, all other diskgroups are started OK but not the FRA diskgroup. Is this a bug with FRA where FRA can not be automatically started up after recycling the instance? Did anyone experience the same situation? Can someone advice?

In the execution,i have this error :ora-01006 :bind variable does not exist, after analyzing,i have found that the problem is with parameters :5 and :6 ,i don't understand they have the same syntax
as bind variables 1,2,3 and 4.

I hope you do realise that there are 13 bind-variables in your sql, not 6?
Variables are bound by position. You cannot use the same bind variable twice, they will be 2 distinct bind variables.
For example, you use :1 three times, so you need to provide three arguments, in this case three times the same value.

ORA-27473: argument 1 does not exist

I've been trying to create a file_watcher to check for files arriving at the filesystem. But keep getting the error "ORA-27473: argument 1 does not exist ". I've searched forums but can't find an answer to get me on track.
Does anyone know why I get this error?
The examples I've been following are those provided by oracle and some from the web. All very simple and run, but mine does not.
The system I'm using is a Oracle prebuilt VM 'Database App Development VM', where the OS is Oracle Linux 5 and Oracle Database 11.2 EE.

ORA-01418: specified index does not exist though the index exist !!

Hi all,
This problem occures only sometimes. I'm getting the list of indexes from the user_indexes table and later perform on them a rebuild operation by using the command :
Alter index index_name coalesce
This might cause on some indexes to the following error:
ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
I know these indexes exist and I didn't find any reson for this situation.
Does anyone have any idea about it ?

The index name can be created in sensitive case. Try to use double-quote.
Alter index "index_name" coalesce;That give something like this :

1. What are your kernel parameters relating to semaphores set to? Is anything else on the mahcine using significant numbers of semaphores?
2. Please provide the output of the following shell commands:
