Standard FI Document Types
Hi Gurus,
Can anyone send me list of standard fi document types?
Please send it.
Thank You
Moderator: Please, respect the rules of SDN. If you want to know the document types, look at table T003
Hi,
You can use T-code TAANA on BKPF table with field BLART. Result shows how many documents posted for each document type.
You can check similar analysis done for tax codes in below blog.

Deleted standard SAP document types
Hello Gurus,
By mistake i have deleted standard SAP document types and the request also get released. I want to know what is the effect of such document types on system while using DMS?
Will appreciate for the quick reply.
Regards,
BhushanHello Bhusan,
Rollback option is ruled out since the request has already been released!! The immediate impact is that all the DIR's created so far using those deleted Document Types will not be available neither will the users be able to create new DIR's for those Document Types.
However, the assuring part is that if you re-create those Document Types again in SPRO using exactly the same parameters defined earlier, the system will make the DIR's created earlier available as well as permit creation of new ones using those Document Tyes.

Standard SAP Document Type DB (Dummy Purchase Order)
Hello fellow experts!
I have seen this PO document type at previous clients and was wondering what the intended use is? I know this was not customer-specific because I had seen it at several client sites (using 4.6c and 4.7). It looks like my current client has deleted it from their list of document types so I can't research it myself.
I first asked about it when I was attending SAP's MM Configuration course SCM550 several years ago. This document type was not mentioned in any training materials but was clearly visible in the training system. The instructor asked his colleagues at the end of the day but was never able to provide an answer. I see no reference to it on help.sap.com or by doing a Google search.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. There may be some great functionality I've never known of!
Regards,
JasonIn ECC 6.0 It is blanket PO
Dummy PO and Blanket PO are same
In general the Blanket POs are used for consumable materials such as Xerox papers with a short text (does not need to have Master Record) with Item Category ' B' i.e.limit, where in the PO validity period as well as the limits are to be mentioned for the simplicity of procurement.
In SAP, Blanket Purchase Orders refer to the business process where you have a Purchase Order with a validity period (start / end date) and a limit on the item. No Goods Receipt takes place. Payment is triggered by Invoice. -
Standard PR Document Type Deleted by Mistake
Hi Experts,
By mistake i have deleted Purchase requisition document type NB and when a Transport Request is generated i saved it but it is not yet released..
now by anyway can it be retrieved back as original NB with out creating a new one manually....
thanks in advanceIn my opinion you should check which objects are in your transport - I mean maybe there are entries in dependent objects which have been deleted as well.
You should contact your your basis team to get access to client 000 and then whether you can create a transport for those entries and move it to the golden client by SCC1 or you can create the objects manually based on the config on client 000.
After that you should compare the settings between the clients (e.g. OY19).
(just my idea) -
Output Type ZNEU not working for PO document type ZNB
Hi all,
I have copied from standard the document type ZNB, and also the output type ZNEU, (from NB and NEU), I have made and checked all the setting on NACE (condition records, procedures, output types and sequence) everything is same as standard, I have also mantained in the "Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order" the indicators 1 and 2 (for new and change) for ZNEU, and mantained in MN05 the entry for ZNB Doc Type with VN media=1, date/Time=4 so for me these is the only setting needed but for some reason I am not getting the message automaticaly, but if I create manually the message while creating the PO then it works fine.
For Doc type NB and Output type NEU the system gererates correcly the message so I don't know what could be happening here.
The reason I created these copies (ZNB and ZNEU) it's because I have a different plant in a different company code which need to issue PO's and need a different number range and also different FORM (with the logo of the other plant/Company)
Any ideas on how to correct this??
RegardsThe problem was that in spanish, the function partner VN and CP are PR and PR so this was confusing and the records were crossing each other, thanks to every one

Hi,
How to configure to get only the required document types for Purchase order
Regards,
SattujHi,
If you don't want to see the SAP Standard PO Document Types in Search Help of ME21N or any other Transaction then the only option is to delete these document types from config. (Path: - SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Document Types).
But it is not recommended to delete the SAP Standard PO Document Types since in future if you want to create any new PO document type then you need to by copying SAP Standard PO Document Types.
It is suggested to control the usage of SAP Standard PO Document Types by Authorization using Authorization Object M_BEST_BSA (Take help of BASIS Consultant). By this SAP Standard PO Document Types will be visible in the search help but user will not be able to use these. -
SD - Two message category for an invoice document type
Good morning all,
I use InterCompany biling in SD with standard invoice document type 'IV' and message category 'RD04' (which enables vendor invoice creation).
My customer asks to be able to print a form for the intercompany bills.
For the non intercompany bills this is actually performed by using a specific message category.
So my question is : is there any way to have TWO message category ('RD04' + specific message for form) automatically attached to an intercompany bill (customizing, user-exit,...) ?
Best regards.
Didier GOBLET.Hi Didier
Assign the logic to the RD04 output type smartform. Then it is possible,In the smartform include the logic that it should automatically attach to the intercompany billing.

Greetings,
I am told that document type AER is a good document type to utilise. In my DMS system I see that such as ACT, ADA, ADC, ADE are there but not AER.
Is there a website where I can see how document type AER is configured since I cannot see this in my DMS system?
Regards,
KeithHi Amaresh,
Thanks for the reply. Indeed I will also peruse SAP help
The business requirement is as follows (below was how it was communicated to me):
"Look at how the Ownership documents (Document Type AOS) in SAP are configured and see if we can replicate this configuration (in the development portal) for Engineering reports. The design of the Engineering Reports will be very similar to the AOS types. I propose that we use the document types AER for these Engineering Reports."
Your statement of "Document type configuration purely depends on the business requirement" leads me to ask the question - are there some standard document type configuration types? if so, it seems that document type AER is a non-standard/custom document type?

Document type FO to have same layout as NB
Hi all,
I need to activate framework orders and I need to ensure that document type FO has the same layout as NB. Please would you tell me how/where to do this?
Also- do framework orders have a different number range compared to standard PO's?
Thanks in advance.
JJDear,
Why you need screen layout for Frame work order document type same as standard PO?
The documnet type is created and is assigned to a screen layout as per the requirement e.g material group is madatory for document type FO and optional entry for document Type NB.If you will assign NBF screenlayout (standard) to FO order type it will behave as standard .
Document type controls scrren lay out,no range, allowed item categories and freference requisitions.you can assign same no range to more than one document type,But it is advisable to maintain different no-range for each document type. -
Document type and item category
Hi All,
I have created two document types in MM for creating Purchasing Requisition. One for material and for service and material. But when i am selecting service and material document type, the item category at item level is automatically converted to D(Service) even though i dont select any thing(material). I have not done any settings for iterm category based on document type. Pls let me know why i am facing this problem.
Thanks,
RajuHi Amit,
For both the document types (Material and service, service) the item category standard and service are assinged. I have checked in SPRO--->MM-->Purchasing->Purchase requisition-->Define document type--->Check Allowed item category assingment and Link purchase requisition document type.
Hi Raghavendra
If SAP standard service document type then we cant take material and can take service only for creating PR, but in my case i have created one document type and named it as service and for this document type i have assigned item category of service and standard. In this case it should allow me to create PR with standard item category, but its not allowing me to do so. Pls let me know how can i solve this issue.
Thanks,

Hi friends, we are implementing Is Oil with OGSD (Oil and Gas Secondary Distribution), that is an add on developed by Implico and marketed by SAP.
OGSD works with a specific sales order types, like OTA, OSO, OKM, among others. The problem we have is that when we review in IMG the standard sales document type definitions, all of them are empties. They have no values in any of the fields.
Regards and thanks in advance.

Since this seems to be an issue that is specific to your system please continue to process it in the customer message. Support may need to acess the system and this will only be possible from the support infrastructure.

Different Document Type for a standard transaction
Dear all,
Iu2019m facing the following problem: I wish to set a different Document Type for a standard transaction.
In the specific, I need a different DT for Reverse Document (T-code FB08) instead of standard SA.
Is that possible?
Thanks in advance
AlbertoGo to OBA7, click on doc type of the original document (which I guess is SA) and then update the field "Reverse Doc Type" to the doc type you want to.

Z-document-type vs. standard-document-type
All,
I'm facing a philosophical question:
Since there's no REAL guideline for this I wanted to collect a few opinions and see where this is going.
Whenever I'm part of an implementation project, there's a lot of discussion going on concerning the approach when it comes to the realization. The question is whether to take the original, i.e. SAP-standard-document-types and customize them according to my customer's requirement or FIRST copy them and THEN customize them.
Don't want to present my personal opinion, yet, but I would appreciate you to post a few words on this!
Thx & regards,
BobbyTrue, true,
but why not customize the SAP-tested stuff according your customer's requirements?
The original SAP-setup may be copied from the golden client at any point in time, which is why I don't understand, why people tend to go the extra-step and copy it first (it always gives me the impression, that MORE than just customizing has been done to that type... especially, when it's poorly documented, which happens way too often!).
Any other opinions on that?
Regards,
Bobby
