Standard field search help

Hai ,
I have requirement , I need to assign a search help for a standard field , is it possible if it is possible without access key can we do that or else is there is any method from customising side .

Search Help can be implemented at following place
          At Data Dictonary level.
          At screen Attrb.
          In Flow Logic.
if its standard filed i dont think we can do without Access key.....

Need a Function Module to call a standard Elementary Search help - DEBIK

Hi Gurus,
I need to call the standard elementary search help DEBIK in one of my screen fields. Also I need to filter the values for the Account group KTOKD to Z104 ( transshipment location customers).
Actually i do not want to copy the standard search help DEBIK to custom search help ZDEBIK and give a default value of Z104 to field KTOKD.
Also i do not want to use FM - F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST .
I want a FM which will call the search help directly . I tried using FM - FC_RVERS_SEARCHHELP but did not succeed. Can anybody help me in this.

WD ABAP Standard - change search help

Hi experts,
In a standard WD Abap there is a field in the context that have a dictionary search help, which is standard too, but we want to replace it with another non-standard dictionary search help. Our requierement is to do it using abap code by an enhacenment.
We have been looking for any solution but we didn't find nothing. How can we do it?

Adding elementry search help to SAP standard Collective Search help

Hi,
I had copied standard elementary search help to MAT0M to ZZ_MAT0M and added some more fields and activated to it.
it got activated sucessfully.
Now i have to attached the ZZ_MAT0M elementry search help to standard collective search help MAT1_A.
How can i do that?
can i add it directly to MAT1_A (sell --->search help <MAT1_A> changes --> in included search helpss tab using + (insert icon) )

I solved my problem :
I had copied standard elementary search help to MAT0M to ZZ_MAT0M and added some more fields and copied Database View M_MAT1M to ZZ_M_MAT1M and addedd same fields and activated both.
both got activated sucessfully.
Now i have to attached the ZZ_MAT0M elementry search help to standard collective search help MAT1_A and this Z-search help shd appear on the first tab.
so I just went to collective search help MAT1_A in change mode --> click on "+" icon addedd my ZZ__ search help, save and activated it.
If you dont really care in which tab your search help shd appear, then the best option is to use Append Search help.
Note : if you are directly adding your search help in collective standard search help, then its better to remove hotkey form your custom elementry search help, as, if not remove will lead to warnings or make sure that you have unique hotkey in that collective search help.

this topic is still a problem for me, does anybody have an idea.
Just to show what's my problem:
Collective Search help KRED does include a SAP append-search help ASH_KRED which holds the elementary search helps KREDC, KREDE, KREDM, KREDW.
The search helps KREDE, KREDM, KREDW should not be displayed, so I added another Serach-Help-Append ZKRED_CUST at the end of CSH KRED which holds these 3 SH's with the hidden flag.
That works, the SH's are not shown anymore.
I also added some other of the Original SAP SH's (e.g. KREDA) with the hidden flag and added changed copies of these (e.g ZKREDA) there to be shown instead.
All this can be done modification free by appends.
The folders of the elementary search helps are shown in the order as they are found included in the KRED SH and the append to this SH.
This means that the not hidden Sh KREDC from ASH_KRED is shown before all the "custimized" ZKREDx -SH's. But we need this SH not very often, so that I want it to displayed al the right-most position of the folders of SH's or at the most down postition of the drop-down-selection of SH's.
But I have not found any way to do this modification free.
The only way to archive this is to modify ASH_KRED by setting the Hidden-Flag for KREDC and add this SH at the end of append-SH ZKRED_CUST again.
But I want avoid this modification.
So, is there any way to do this without modifing any of the original SAP SH's ?

Standard F4 (search help) in the web dynpro JAVA

         I have a small doubt in web dynpro Java. Basically I am an ABAP developer. We created some custom Remote function modules (RFM). Now are able to call RFM through web dynpro JAVA in the portal. We are able to run the RFMs in the portal.
         But we have problem with search help. How can I built the search help for the input fields in the portal using web Dynpro Java.
         Can we bring standard search help (which is exist in R/3) in the portal?

I think there is no standered functionality available in WDJava to achieve this functionality like ABAP or WDAbap. but, you can still achieve this using OVS option. to do this also, first you should have an interface which can talk to the R3 system and search the dB as per the query parameters i.e, an RFC which can the desired form of input and give you the desired output.

With input disabled field search help is not working.

Hi
I dont think that a field can be disabled and allows to choose data using f4 simultaneously. you can enable the field and allow the user to select whatever he/she wants.
Then in any action like on press of save or submit button which the user will trigger after entering the values, get the value entered by the user in that perticular field and fire a query on the table/view, which you have used as selection method of your search help, it help is coming from data element then look for check table in domain. if sy-subrc comes 0 than go ahead else give error that value selected is modified.

Hi,
Find the name of the search help to whcih you want to add tab.You can do this by using F1 and technical setting key.After finding the name go to that search help and add your newly created search help to the existing one.After adding to the existing searchhelp write code in search help exit.

Sorting problem in standard vendor search help

Hi all,
I'm enhancing the vendor search help.
I found that there is a sorting problem in the original standard search help.
The 1st time to search vendor in the search help returns a correct list, then I just sort the vendor in ascending order. This time the column name of the hit list changes and mismatch the actual values.
Any one faced this problem before?
What's wrong are there ?

But even I don't enhance the vendor search help, I still found that the original standard version has this problem after sorting.
Is that the program bug?
Have anyone encountered this problem before?

EKKO-ZTERM field search help in report

In a report selection screen,i have Payment terms as one of the selection criteria's.But the search help(f4) values not getting for this EKKO-ZTERM field.

Standard Elementary Search help number of hits

Dear All,
I am having simple problem with the Standard Search Help "RSFISCPER".
When i display with out restrictions it shows only around 219 hits , even with restrictions it shows the same number .
How can i see all entries in the search help.
If i give selection like FisVarient K4 and period from 001/2007 to 012/2007 then it shows correctly. but if i give only K4 then all entries will not show related to K4.

Multiple Field Search Help

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if its possible to create a Search Help, with several fields to export, assigned to a field on a dynpro and when you make the selection of the row on the search help the export fields get assigned to the other fields on the screen with same data element.
For example:
Search Help export fields = BELNR and BUZEI.
Fields on Screen = BUKRS, LIFNR, BELNR, BUZEI.
The search help is assigned to the field BELNR, but I want that when I do the selection on the search help it does insert the value of BUZEI in the screen also.
So my question is, is this possible? If this is possible, how can I achieve this? (Really appreciate if you can give me examples)

Hi Gill,
     After you are calling "F4_IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST",use the following logic to populate the remaining field values to the corresponding row.
Eg:
CALL Function "F4_IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST ".
you have to read the document no choosen by the user from the "return" tab.
Then read the value of the remaing fields from itab for the corresponding doc.no.
pass it to the following internal table.
to get the line no in which the user clicked the search help ,you have to use "GET Cursor Line " statement.and populate that line no in SY-STEPL value of the following internal table.
REFRESH dynpfields.
CLEAR   dynpfields.
dynpfields-fieldname = 'EKPO-EBELN'.
dynpfields-fieldvalue = '1300000'   "wa_ekpo-ebeln.
dynpfields-stepl      = l_stepl.
APPEND dynpfields.

Bsid-gjahr field search help in report

Hi friends
In my report selection screen,i have Fiscal year as one of the selection criteria's.But the search help(f4) values not getting for this bsid-gjahr field.
i don't want the FM, can anybody refer a table name so that i can define select-options of that type and can get f4 help.

If the search help does not come when defining
parameter ... like bsid-gjahr
try looking at the screen where you get the search help,
find out which search help is being called and check your parameter additions (there is one for search help)...
