SAVE ME !!!!!
I have a requirement wherein I have to pull data from a custom Infotype to a standard SAP HRFORM. say for example : I have a standard HRforms for US Payslip i.e. SAP_PAYSLIP_US. Now I want to pull data into this standard payslip from a custom Infotype that I have created. Please let me know how we can acheive this.
Any sort of information will be useful to me. Please suggest. Need Help urgently...........

I guess you will not be able to pass the data into the Standard Form, so i would suggest you ko kindly copy the standard form and make a Y program and then you can use it...hope your problem can be solved by this.

Standard Report Customization

Hi All,
I am wanted to Customization for existed oracle standard Report(VAT Sales Report).I just want to add 4 more fields.
So that i have increase the "Main section width and hight" While i am trying to expand the Main frame i am getting the error follow
"REP-1212: Object 'Body' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object ''."
Please can any one help me?
Or please tell me the prerequisite setups for the rdf to customize it.

REP-1212: Object '<object name1>' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object '<object name2>'.
Cause:
The possible causes of this error include the following:
Case 1: An object is not fully enclosed by the page. That is, the object extends beyond the page boundary.
Case 2: A repeating frame that forms a matrix is one or more layers above a repeating frame that it contains. In a matrix layout, repeating frames must be below repeating frames that they contain.
Action: You can take the following actions to correct this error:
If Case 1: Move or resize the object so that it does not extend outside the page boundary. Alternatively, increase the page size in the Report Property Inspector.
If Case 2: Using Arrange--\>Send to Back, Arrange--\>Bring to Front, Arrange--\>Move Backward, and Arrange--\>Move Forward, arrange your repeating frames such that, in terms of layers, the following is true: repeating frames are below repeating frames that they contain and down repeating frames are below across repeating frames.

Language Problem when installing Acrobat 8.0 Standard with Customization Wizard

Hello,
i would like to install Acrobat 8.0 Standard in German on several PCs.
I created a mst-File with the Customization Wizard and it works except for the language settings. The default language is always English. I found a registry key to switch to German:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\Language\current]

This works for Acrobat but the Add ins for Microsoft Office are still in English. Is there a way to change the language settings for the Add ins?

I Have the same problem but with the Swedish, Danish version
If I use the Customization Wizard the Danish language is ignored

Standard costupdate customization

I need to customize standard cost update ti insert accounting lines to reflect
material cost and material overhead cost by splitting in Accounting lines og GL
Instead of one Account .

Do you mean you want to split the offset (or standard cost variance) account entries? You may be able to do this using the Cost Hook, assuming Release 11i, or, you could write a custom program to add additional entries into the cost accounting distribution entries for the mtl_transaction_accounts table. The accounting line type would be a "2" or account for all of the additional entries, as you would not be touching the inventory entries (where the accounting line type =1). Hope this helps,

Standards for Customization

Hi All,
I would like to know whether Oracle has laid any standards for the Customization of Self Service modules(all java,jsp,java script,DHTML).
How do you guys recommend to do it? Normally what we do is copy the files to be customized and customize them and place it back and keep a back up of all files we customize.But my question in this case is,What if we upgrade to 12i in future ..which would be a major upgrade.So I guess if we place these customized files in the normal OA_JAVA and OA_HTML and OA_MEDIA all these files will be replaced by the standard oracle files during a major upgrade like this.Is there any way to keep the customized files un touched?
One alternate approach which I have is to create a CUSTOM_TOP in the server and keep all the customized files in that?

Coming to your questions, if you can provide the business scenario , we can provide better suggestion. But for now, there are 2 ways to make changes to standard seeded application:
1. Personalization : A feature of apps where where you can make a lot of changes without changing any code. It is patching, upgrade safe.
2. Customization : Provides a guideline to apply code changes in such a manner that seeded code can be overridden. Again It is patching, upgrade safe if done following the provided guidelines.

I want to use standard transaction(ME2N)and append three more fields to the displaying report.
here the LDB ENM used in the Program RM06EN00.. how to know the report output structure? and the output need to display in a normal ALV report.

Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Reporting -> Scope of List -> Define Scope of List and create your own scope of list.
In ME2N fill in the new scope in list in the 3rd field from the top.

i cant able to activate the Std HR forms " SAP_TIM_99_0001". its throwing the error in the HR forms generated Print program like "P_IPVIEW" is unknown.

I am getting following errors:
FRM-41072: Cannot create group TRANS_TYPE_LNCUSTOM
I checked my query with DBMS outputs and then copy that output and ran it as a query in toad and it worked fine.
Has anyone done this before that could help me resolve the problem??

I figured out the problem and it works perfectly fine. Basically, it does create a record group but once I move out of the item and come back to the item, it was trying to create a record group with the same name again. So I had add an extra check in my statement:
if id_null('record group')
then only create the group;

Error generating the hrform SAP_PAYROLL_US

Hi All,
Am getting an Error 'Generated print program contains a syntax error' when I try activating the standard hrform SAP_PAYSLIP_US.
As the print program is auto generated, am not able to change /fix the error.
Anyidea why the standard hrform is not getting activated?

Exporting single extension Definition or single page customization object

How to export and import single extension Definition or single page customization object.
If we select dataset then it will export all the objects, and I couldn't find option in Single SRM object.

Unfortunately, oma export doesnu2019t allow export of single extension. Either you would have to do it as a dataset which will export all extension definitions, or use csv. Iu2019ve always used csv to manage extensions.
For page customization, create a custom oml query by duplicating the standard page customization oml query and add your filter conditions in the WHERE clause of the SQL. Then use the Object List option and select the custom oml query. The other option would be use csv import. Iu2019ve always preferred csv for page customizations.

HRFORMS : How Can Country Specific MetaStar Be Created

I would like to find out how can Country Specific Metastars be created.
For example, in standard SAP HRFORM for China (Country Grp 28 HR Form Name SAP_PAYSLIP_CN), there exist a Meta Star EMP_CNAME_CN with associated MetaDimensions DATE_RANGE, EMPLOYEE, EMP_CNAME_CN under SAP_DEFAULT
Another example is SAP HRFORM for Singapore (Country Grp 25 HR Form Name SAP_PAYSLIP_SG), there exist a Meta Star PERSONAL_ID_SG with associated MetaDimensions ASSINGMENT, EMPLOYEE, INPERIOD and NRIC_SG under SAP_DEFAULT.
Points will be given for useful answers on how metastars (specifically country specific ones) can be created for downstream used in Infonet during HRFORM build of payslip.

Managed to sort out Country Specific Metanets can be set in HRFORMS > Utilities > HR metadata workplace
However, if either one of SAP_DEFAULT or ZSAP_DEFAULT metanet is used to assign to a country that standard HRform is not available, the error message
"The DDIC Structure HRF_PAY<country>_PE_PA_RESULT for Country <molga> Does Not Exist" will appear"
Any idea how can a metanet be created for any given country if standard SAP HRFORM structure has not been set up for the country ?

SAP Standard Roles

Hello everyone.
What is SAP's best practice for using (customizing) the SAP standard roles? I have always used the standard roles as templates to customize for my customers. Is there a stated SAP best practice for this?
If I use a standard role, customize it and copy it to the company namespace and the standard role it is customized off of changes, does my customized role change?
How do release upgrades affect the standard SAP roles?

Hi Todd,
If you copy the roles to a your own namespace then they won't be touched during upgrade.
I can't comment on what happens to standard roles during upgrade as I tend to avoid them.
There is no accepted best practice around using standard roles, though there is reasonably wide belief that developing your own from the ground up is a better way to develop roles to meet your customers business processes.
I find that where standard roles have been used, the end user roles have generally a lot of unused transactions. Functional & business people see a large list & choose most of them rather than building up from a subset of inscope transactions which are also used for training, BPP's etc.
There is also the consideration that using standard roles guides you to building in the same way. That's not to say it is a bad way, just can limit flexibility if you build down to a task level (nasty, nasty, nasty) or higher at a job or function level.

If you want the report you can create a separate SIS report . In that take the input field as a Reason for rejection.. and ask for the output the list of sales orders .Now when you check this user defined report you will give the reason for rejection and check what all orders got rejected on that reason for rejection.
