Standard interface for Product Hierarchy

Dear Experts,
 I want to know the product hierarchy, i m working for a pharma project, i want the heirarchy like Category---> Molecule-->Brands---->SKU
 can anybody tell me the standard interface for finding the product hierarchy or is there any transction code for getting these hierarchy details,

Hi Eswara,
There are transaction Code for viewing the Product Hierarchy and Category.
The Transaction Code is COMM_HIERARCHY. You can find the details of the entire product in the following navigation details.
SAP -->> Master Data -->> Products from the main menu.

Standard interfaces for vendor invoice and salary posting

Hi all,
Our customer is asking for a standard interface for vendor invoices (not purchase invoices, only for invoices entered in FB60), if they could have a CSV file from vendor and import that to SAP. Is there a standard functionality or do we have to build an own interface?
They also ask if there is a standard interface for salary file so they can tell the company that create the salary file that they should use a standard format or do we need o to create an interface there to?

You can either go with INVOICE01 or INVOICE02, As per the requirement you can check with the Function module attach with the idoc type, and whether it is providing the appropriate functionallity or not.

Workflow for product hierarchy

I have to create a workflow for product hierarchy.
When we Create/Modified/Delete one product hierarchy using Tcode V/76 (entry in the table T179) I have to display that product hierarchy. I am not able to find any object type for that. Which object type I have to use.
I am new in this workflow. Please help me

Basic type for product hierarchy v/76

Hi all,
I have another task that need to configure once a product hierarchy is created in Tcode v/76, it will trigger an outbound IDOC and send out.
Can anyone explain to me what basic type or message type should be used in this case?

Standard Interface for CRM System

: What standard interface does the CRM system expose to XI? For e.g. Standard IDocs or BAPI? If yes give details about the same. If NO standard IDocs / BAPI are available then do we need to write one?

CRM has an external interface adapter (XIF) that can send all CRM DATA to external systems. You only need to setup an RFC-destination, a XIF-site (much like the R/3 site), subscribe to the data that you want and indicate the interface format. You can choose between Idocs and XML.
The XML will be send directly to the XI. If you choose idocs, you'll have to setup an outbound idoc profile and an outbound port to interface the idocs to the XI system.
Example: suppose that you subscribe business partners to the XI-site in an XML format, then CRM will send all business partner changes to the IP address of the XI.

Authorizations problem for Product Hierarchy

Hi,
We have a requirement in which we need to restrict authorization for the product hierarchy based on secret products. The material object has an attribute called secret indicator which has Y/N values. We need to restrict the users based on this attribute. The restriction should be such that the users should not even be able to see the nodes for secret materials in the product hierarchy if they are not entitled to it.
Any pointers ?

Can you create two different hierarchies, one with secret nodes and one without? Then you could create an authorization object on the Secret attribute and check the authorization in a user exit.
You would then use a user-exit variable that is filled automatically (no user input) and fill it depending on the authority check with hierarchy 1 or 2.
You could also write an ABAP that filters the secret products out of the first query. It is a bit complicated.

How to get the medium and long text for PRODUCT HIERARCHY?

hi experts,
i am using data source called 0prod_hier_text. in ECC there is description for medium and long.
but in BW it is mapped to 0TXTSH which is short text, and in the transformations medium text is mapped to short text of BW (0TXTSH) which is having length only 20.
IF it exceeds more than 20 it is now showing.
so how to get add 0TXTMD which is medium text so that i can see the description for MEDIUM.
i did try to add to 0PROD_HIER but i cannot add.
i need to show medium text description in the Report.
plz provide me the input.

Check in RSD1 screen which text you have chossen .....for object 0product
try to check for medium & long text(if not checked) ..
so that you can add mdtxt & long txt in transformations........

Extract concatenated description for Product Hierarchy

Hello,
I want to get the concatenated Description from ECC to BW, like in transaction v/76.
My expectation was that the extractor long text field of 0PROD_HIER_TEXT delivers the concatenated Text but the field is empty ?
Did I miss a prerequisite or is this not possible in standard ?

I thought the document contained an explanation of remote key mapping. Obviously it doesn't, sorry.
Setting up remote key mapping is a bit complicated.
First of all go to the MDM console and check your product category field in the main table (catalog items). Is key mapping set to "yes"?
then go to the data manager and switch to the table containing the product categories in record mode. Right click on any entry and check the remote key data. Are remote keys available for your product categories. I assume that there are no remote keys available - this is the reason the system behaves as you describe it.
Setting up remote keys for existing product categories AFAIK can only be done manually in Data Manager. Alternatively you can delete your hierarchy and create it once more, creating remote keys for every entry in the table. You can chose any remote system, it just has to be the same all the time.
In import manager you have to clode the code field of your product category (basically the material group number) and assign it once to the product category in MDM and once to the remote key.
Be sure to check your configuration in MDM Import Manager, the entry "Do not update record matching field value" needs to be set to no. Otherwise no remote keys are created.
Now you can import your categories creating your hierarchy, as usual. The remote keys are created automatically.
You should assign remote keys to all fields that should be matched in a similar way, UOM, currency etc.

Does SAP have standard report for vendor hierarchy? We want to use vendor hierarchy to capture all the expense to a list of vendors and wondering if we can utilize some standard report to see the total supply or we should develop custom reports to handle them?
