Standard Inventory Data Source Code

Hello SDN GURUS,
I would like to know where the code is written for the data source in R/3 . For inventory i have an there is a fucntion module attached to it but where can i see this function module attached to data source in R/3 for standard inventory extractor.

On the ECC side use T-Code RSO2 ,
In the Field Transaction Data Enter the Datasource Name,
Click on Display
At the status Line at the Bottom You can find the Name of the Function Module used to extract data.
you can see the code written in the function module by using T-code SE37.

Standard BI Data Source for FMGLFLEXT

Hello Friends,
The standard data source for the Financials New Legder is 0FI_GL_10 General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances, which fetches the data from the FAGLFLEXT Table using the Extract Structure FAGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD. However there has been a migration of the FAGL table to FMGL table. And now the FAGLFLEXT is no longer populated with any FI postings data. And the new table which is getting the update is the FMGLFLEXT Table. GL Migration from FAGL to FMGL is a standard procedure. However I am not finding any Standard Data Source to fetch the data from the FMGLFLEXT Table.
Can anybody let me know if there is any standard datasource for this or should we create a custom data source to fetch the data from FMGLFLEXT using the FMGL_EXTSTRUCT_LEAD Extract Structure.
Appreciate help in this regard.

The requirement is resolved by the following:
If you want to use your own totals table (in this scenario FMGLFLEXT) as your basis, you first have to create the corresponding extraction structure using transaction FAGLBW01. In this way, all fields of the totals table are transferred into the extraction structure. Further In the OLTP system, call up transaction FAGLBW03 and Configure the DataSource and save your settings.

Facing problem with standard master data source *0bp_def_address_attr *

Hi All,
I am using BW 3.5 version
I am loading master data form 0bp_def_address_attr(stabdard data source) as part of my daily activities.
this loading is failing frequently throwing following error message
30 duplicate record found. 1243 recordings used in table /BI0/PBPARTNER
ID : RSDMD
message number 199
Is there any way I can avoid this failure?How can I handle duplicate records?

Inventory data sources - settings

Hi Experts,
Please provide me the solution for the following
1. For 2lis_03_bx, i want to do the setting to opening balances upto 2007.31.12, where we will do this settings.
2. Can we possible to load 2lis_03_bx and 2lis_03_bf into DSO. IF possible please suggest me the std SAP delivered DSO/ODS.

Hi Kuttan
You want to load Opening balance as at 2007. Does the data in your source system i.e R3 have the Opening balance as at 2007 or is the Opening balance in R3 Live Opening balance. (I am sure it is Live opening balance).
The appropriate thing for you will be to load the data in 'as-is' condition i.e. Load the current Opening Balance. Remember that during this process you will have to 'lock' the R3 system. After loading the 'Live' opening balance i.e. 2LIS_03_BX , you will load the transactions that lead upto this Opening balance. These will be loaded through 2LIS_03_BF. For this process follow the link that is posted in the earlier link.

Why the reason to use unseriallized update mode in inventory data source?

In the LIS information systems, updating of statistical data can take place in three ways:
As a synchronous update (U1)
(Immediate start, that is when an event takes place that triggers an update)
As an asynchronous update (U2)
(Delayed start, i.e., updating is slightly delayed after an event that triggers an update).
As collective update (V3)
(Start delayed that means the update is done at done at any point after the event that triggers the update ).
With Collective updates the update of the statistic data can take place anytime after the document update. The update of the statistics data can also be done outside of the dialog times.
You can specify the type of updating for each information structure in Customizing. You need to make the appropriate settings in Customizing for the Logistics Information System. You can find detailed information in the Implementation Guide for the Logistics Information System.

JPA with MySQL-Data-Source

I have a question regarding usage of a MySQL-Data-Source in combination with JPA
on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Java EE 5 Edition.
I have setup a custom datasource like explained in paper:

- registered the database driver via telnet (Using mysql-connector-java-5.0.3-bin.jar)
- created the data-sources.xml file underneath the META-INF dir of the EAR project

After that I created a Controller class containing a main method that looks up the remote
interface of the TravelAgentBena like explained in document "Accessing Enterprise JavaBeans Using JNDI
in SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Java EE 5 Edition" written by Validimir Pavlov of SAP NetWeaver
development team.
Unfortunately I receive an Exception after invoking the createCabin(...) method.
On the console of the NWDS I receive:

My goodness - what a long post - sorry for this - I hope I provided all information

of file data-sources.xml for the beaviour? Are there any other argument options than native_sql?

Here we strictly implemented the checks according to the requirements of the JPA specification. Technically, we could do with private constructors as well. But the JPA specifications requires the constructor to be protected to allow a JPA implementation to subclass entities if needed.

No, unfortunately, there is no comparable option in SAP JPA (yet). We understand that there is a need for forward mapping. We would have liked to delegate this task to the JPA design time (i.e. Dali). However, we had to discover that Dali does not perform this task properly and we can't recommend using it any more.
Consequently, there is no automatic schema generation in SAP JPA 1.0.

With Hibernate Entity Manager, the id generation strategy in use with GenerationType.AUTO depends on the database dialect. This means that depending on the database dialect, IDENTITY columns, SEQUENCES or generator tables (TableHiLo) are required. As Hibernate has the before mentioned schema generation property this fact can be hidden to the user.
In SAP JPA, we are always using a table generator if GenerationType.AUTO is used. This allows for better portability across databases. It requires the table TMP_SEQUENCE. As we unfortunately do not have a schema generation capability, the user must create this table.

Delta extraction for FI (AR & AP) data sources

I tried extracting the data from 2 standard SAP data sources under FI module for Accounts Receivable.
0FI_AR_10(Customer payment history via delta extraction)
0FI_AR_5 (customer payment history)
The data to be extracted into 0FIAR_C05(payment history) info cube.I assigned the 2 data sources to an info source and pumped the data into the cube via an ODS.Now the problem is with delta extraction.No records are picked in the delta extraction.So I checked in extractor checker RSA3 with delta update mode.I got the following error.
"Could not determine BW release of logical system"
Could some one resolve the issue?Thanks in advance.

JSF & Data source Problem

Hi all
I wrote my first jsf-adf project as discussed in cue cards in developer 10.1.3 using sql server 2005 , I configed my oc4j and app module as discussed in "Developing Oracle ADF Business Components for a SQL Server Database " paper in the same release of jdeveloper but I have 2 problems
1. when I Config my environment without adding data-source into data-source.xml
I get jbo-30003,jbo-29000 and jbo-26066 errors in the ie

and when I set the data source which you called local
I see Jbo-30003;Jbo-29000 & Jbo-26066 errors in IE
I can't understand what is wrong

Extracting delta's with ODP-data source 0MATERIAL_ATTR from SAP ECC

We are using ODP-replication to extract data from SAP ECC to a MS SQL-database by SAP BusinessObjects Data Services.
For extracting Material-data we use the standard data source 0MATERIAL_ATTR in SAP ECC.
This data source delivers a full load with all Materials in it.
In the properties of this data source (tab attributes) we saw that this data source is Delta_Extractor_Capable.
Therefore we set the extraction mode from 'Query' to CDC (= Change Data Capable) and did a new initial load to get all Materials again.
After changing a Material in ECC, we did a delta-load, but unfortunately we received ZERO records.
Is there anyone with experience on extracting delta's with data source 0MATERIAL_ATTR or another standard masterdata data source in ECC?

Delete the Queue in LBWQ/RSA7 and then freshly load Init and Check the Delta.
Once you load the Init then if there are no new records then it won't get any data. so 0 records
Check in SM37 in ECC why the job is terminated. See in ST22 also.
