Standard OM infotype 1240

Hi everyone:
I have come across a rather odd situation in Org Management. Up until now, I was under the impression that all standard SAP infotypes were, like infotypes 1000 (Object) & 1001 (Relationships), comprised of many components (see attached IT1001.gif).
After doing some research for the past several days, it has come to my attention that not every infotype has all these objects generated for it. For example, my team would like to use IT1240 (Existence Dependency). Unfortunately, it, and a number of others, are in mangled states of completeness (see attached IT1240.gif).
Because these are standard infotypes, the system will not allow me to use PPCI or PPCM to regenerate them, because it would automatically drop and recreate the ABAP Dictionary tables & structures too. I need a way to generate the missing components without touching the Dictionary.
Can this be fixed? Should I approach our BASIS group or someone else?
Please advise,
Jon

Your 1240 infotype is not in a mangled state of completeness, it is meant to behave in this way. PPCI is used to create an infotype so you wouldn't use this transaction for this infotype anyway. PPCM is used to enhance an infotype but this infotype has no CI include so this would have to be created in SE12 first if you wanted to use this.
This infotype is also not maintainable via PP01 or PP02 so the screens and module pools for this will not exist.
Personally I am not familiar with this infotype but I'm sure with a bit of googling you can find out the standard programs or transactions for maintaining this infotype.

  • How to enter values in the fields of standard SAP Infotype e.g. IT0024

    Hi,
How to enter values in the fields of standard SAP Infotype?
e.g. I want to enter values in infotype IT0024(Qualifications) in the field AUSPR(Profincy):-
    1-Level 1
    2-Level 2
    3-Level 3
    4-Level 4
    5-Level 5
    Thanks,
    Ameet

    Hi Divya,
I checked with the screen and report which is mentioned by you. But I want to modify/make changes that should appear in the screen when you view details for a particualar employee in Qualifications(IT0024).
Please refer the screen 2000 of module pool MP002400 in SE80. In that screen I want to make change as listbox with key.
Can it be achieved in the same way as mentioned by you before by making standard SAP report as Z and then modify using layout editor?
Please help me out. I think I am almost there.

  • FMLA standard hours infotype 2001 not editable when working with date range

    Hi All,
The issue described below arises at the Juncture between FMLA Workbench and Absence Infotype IT2001.
When we try to tie a FMLA Request to Absences the process takes us to the Infotype PA2001 screen wherein we would like the Absence Hours Field to be Editable so that we could enter Hours (less than full day).
The process works fine when the FMLA absence is for a single day, i.e. if an employee availed a FMLA leave on a day (whether full day or part of a day) the Absence Hours field (PA2001-STDAZ) is editable and the user can enter any number of hours of his choice.
But the process faces a glitch when the FMLA absence spans over a period of time (i.e. an employee availed a FMLA leave for over a period wherein each day may or may not be a full day absence, in this scenario it would be best if the system allow the user to enter Absence Hours so that the User could enter the exact number of Absence hours correctly. But unfortunately, when an absence spans multiple days the Infotype 2001 screen dynamically turns the Absence Hours field (PA2001-STDAZ) uneditable (grayed out) and the system forcefully enters hours equal to the sum of the work schedule hours for each working day covered in the span of period for which we are trying to enter FMLA Absence Hours.
I have used the USER EXIT and the BADI route and tried to change the Screen Table to editable, but with no luck.
Wondering, if anyone of you could help me out of this glitch.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
I don't think this is possible.
You cannot make the Hours field editable for a date range.
I don't think its feasible to enter absence hours on a day basis given a date range.
Better think of creating a custom infotype to enter absence hours .
(Design would be : based on the date range entered , say 01.01.2011 to 05.01.2011 , you should get five input enabled
boxes(dynamically) for five days to enter the absence hours , this is not possible in standard infotype ..... )

  • Standard Profiles Infotype 1016

    Hi,
I tried to assign a profile to a position (Object type S) via t-code PO13. Then i executed PFUD. However, the role was not transferred to the user id assigned to the position.
but when i assigned the position to the role via PFCG and then executed PFUD, it worked fine. The role was transferred to the user id.
Can someone tell me why it is not working the other way round. I would like to maintain all role assignments in the Organizational Management module.
    Thanks,
    Zubair Naseer

    Hi,
B007 in relationships is what i was looking for. Created this relationship between position and role and now PFUD is updating the user's authorization. I guess 1016 which i was using previously is meant for structural authorization only.
RHPROFL0 is also updating user's authorization based on B007 relationship but i think this is also meant for the structual authorizations so i'll put transaction PFUD on scheduler.
    Thanks for your help.

  • How to push custom infotype details to Standard Log Report

    Hi Experts,
i am using S_AHR_61016380 SAP Standard Report for Log Change Data in
the report development. However, the standard report for logged changes
does not capture the long term documents run for the custom infotype.
it is only giving the logged changes for the standard SAP infotypes
and it doesnot capture any details for the custom infotype.
We are looking a possibility on how to push custom infotype details to S_AHR_61016380.
Pls suggest in case you have any inputs for the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kishore.

    Hello Amith,
As u said i have created a Z program, and also i have used the following FMs.
    1. 'HR_INFOTYPE_LOG_GET_LIST'
    2. 'HR_INFOTYPE_LOG_GET_DETAIL'
Using these FMs i am able to get log records from the standard infotypes but i am unable to fetch data from the custom infotype tables.
Please give me any solution to read the log records from the custom infotype tables.
    Thanks,

  • Changing Time Constraint of Standard Infotypes

    Hi,
Just wondering is it possible to check the time constraint of <b>standard</b> infotypes such that the behaviour of infotype records will react accordingly to the time constraint?
I am aware that we can change the time constraint in PM01 but i have tested it, it does not seem to delimit past infotype records. I have changed the time constraint of Infotype 0081 to 2, but it does not delimit past records. Is it dependent on the infotype itself as well? Is there any existing function module or user exit that I can use to enhance the module pool of infotype to delimit records?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Can u tell me which IT r u trying ,,,, try for 0022 IT too ,
check whether the behaviour is the same .
When u give 2 as time constraint , your problem should be solved .
    Eg: 24.10.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1st record
    24.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 2nd record
While saving the second record ,
IF Time constraint is 1 : it will delimit with a date as 23.11.2007 for 1st record
IF Time constraint is 2 : it will delimit with a date as 23.11.2007 for 1st record (does the same thing)
Time gaps are the difference (You can have the record delimited to 20.11.2007 for Tiime constrint 2 but for 1 it shud not allow the same)
If this is not happening the messages are the problem .
Use user exit for the same to correct the problem .
What is the message ur getting when you try to save the second record .

  • Custom OM Infotype

    Dear Expert,
We need to store information in position object type , indicating that the position is outsourced or not (just a simple yes or no value or checkbox). I've look in standard OM infotype but nothing is suitable, do i have to create custom infotype or you have better solustion. Thanks

    Dear Salim,
You may use "Authorities / Resources" infotype (1010) to solve your issue.
Create a new subtype, for instance "Outsourcing Status".
And within this Status, you may create two values "Yes & No" or "Outsourced & Not Outsourced".
To create subtype go to view V_778U
To define resources "yes/no", go to table T777U.
This may fulfil your requirement.. if it does, please confirm the question as answered ..
    Thank you,

  • HR Infotype Screen Programming!

    Hi All,
I have a text field in my infotype screen which is editable.
By default, the enteries are in CAPS.
What do i need to do, if i want the field to accept "Caps" and small letters aswell?
Thanks in advance for all the responses.
    Regards,
    Sundar.

    Sundar,
If you are working with a standard SAP infotype, fields and Screens, this change is considered a modification.
The other thing that you should check is if your field is tied to something defined in the data dictionary, then upper/lowercase is also attached to the domain of your field definition.  Changing it only on the screen may not necessarily populate the field with upper/lowercase.
If you click on the "definition" tab of the domain definition you will see a checkbox called upper/lower case.
    Best Regards,

  • Custom field in Infotype via custom table

    Hi experts,
    I have the following scenario:
1.I have added a new custom field to the standard PA infotype through PM01.
2.The field is a code(e.g contract code) and the contract desciption is to be strored in a separate custom table.
    My question is:
How/where to write the code to insert values into the custom table ,when such infotype is created? Is there a standard function module for this?Any sample/pseudo code would be highly helpful.
    thanks in advance,
    KC

Pleae see my comments to your questions:
1.This one relates to pont 2 of your reply:How and where to declare the custom table as a check table in the CI?in SE11?when I open the infotype table in SE11 and try to declare the 'contract code' as a check field,I am being asked the access key. Please let me know if there is a correct way of doing so.
Go to SE11. Give the main table name associated to the Infotype(PANNNN). Click display. Scroll to the bottom and you see te CI include associated with it. Double click on it. It shows you the details of the fleds and in the include. Go to Change mode here. It does not ask for the access key as this is your custom extension. Scroll to the right and you can assoicate the master table as check table against the field.
PS:You can go to CI include directly in edit mode also from SE11.
2.In the infotype entry screen,If I want to show the only those values of the 'contract code' which are present in the custom table, what is the best advised solution?
I implemented this also on our extension. You add the value help in the module pool and add custom search help code there.
This way you can display the code and its description in the search help.
