Standard or Pro 9?

I use Microsoft PowerPoint and convert to PDFs with the Pro 9 trial version.  Will Standard version do this also? Thanks

Micro$oft has a downloadable plugin for MS Office 2007 that can add a "save as PDF" option to MS Office. This is like printing to the PDF printer, no interactivity. Older versions of MS Office do not have this feature, but with a compatible version of Acrobat, Standard or Professional, has a PDF print driver (like paper output but a file) and MS Macros that could create PDF files with interactive features.. As noted the Professional version of Acrobat one has some additional processing capabilities like "batch processing" and the "PDF Optimizer" that can be used to create smaller PDFs or easily add additonal features.
OOO.org has a compatilbe and less expensive alternative to MS Office that has the 'Export as PDF' feature. In a form this option also includes the form fields.

I have a very old (by computer standards) MacBook Pro, and a newer one.  I've been using the old one mostly for iTunes, into which I have only CD entries.  For a long time, years, the old MacBook pro ceased entering the song titles.  This is very time consuming for me, so I finally investigated a bit further.
I discovered how to enter the track titles onto my newer MacBook Pro, and was so pleased!  But when I tried to do the same with the other laptop, it failed.
What I did, basically, was what the Apple Help suggested--choose iTunes General Preferences, etc.etc.  And yes, I did upgrade the old laptop to the newest iTunes version.
Am I just wasting my time here? Is there some reason why an older Mac Pro will not do what the newer one will, with regard to iTunes?
My older laptop is a 2.6 GHz Core Duo; it has 36 GB of "memory available."  The newer one  a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. It has 284 GB of memory available.
Both are using the same version of Snow Leopard--10.6.8.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Unterschied Standard und Pro

    Hallo zusammen

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro?

I am updating a project, that I did not original work on, that was developed using Acrobat 7.0 and Distiller 7.0. It added the ability to save report files in PDF format and to digitally sign them. Besides the files generated by the SDK there are other files that were generated and edited by Acrobat 7.0 and Distiller 7.0. Files ending in .js looks like I just need a text editor and .api is generated by the SDK. Then I have files templates BlankPageDoc.pdf, BlankPageDoc.ps, TempDoc.pdf that were generate by Distiller. Then I have another file with the extension .joboptions that I don't know how it was generated.
So do I need Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro to update this project for 8.0 and 9.0? I know I need Adobe Acrobat Standard to run it but will I need something in Pro for development?

Pro certainly includes various tools not found in Standard that you may find useful.

  • Standard or Pro Versions?

As instructed I went to the following link to re-download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html However there is no choice or option here to ba able to choose Standard or Pro so I downloaded the package anyway assuming it would select at install. However the install is for Pro only and of course my Standard serial will not work? Where can I get the Standard version from?

if you follow all 7 steps, you can download a trial via one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-x-10-pro-reader-suite-direct-download-links-ddl.ht ml
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem (eg, you see an error page or you are offered an incorrect version), you probably didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that (a restrictive browser setting) is another potential source of problems.

  • Font is missing on the install prompt.  How do I reinstall all standard macbook pro system fonts?

I recently installed a font pack and then removed the fonts shortly thereafter. Apparently the font that is used in the "install prompt" (the window that pops up for me to enter a password before installing new software) is now missing. The window pops up but everything is blank.  How do I go about reinstalling all of the standard macbook pro system fonts?
    Thanks!

  • What version of Acrobat is needed to split pages of a PDF into separate documents? Standard or Pro?

Need to be able to split PDFs into separate files dependent of what page. Can standard do this? Or will i need Pro?

    Hi asfkmg,
Both Acrobat Standard and Pro will allow you to split a PDF into separate documents. Here's a great video that shows you how: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-break-a-pdf-into-parts

  • Need help with EVENT BOOKING: option for multiple, payment (pay pal standard or pro only) add cost, etc

    Hello!
I'm at my wits end: please help! It seems straight forward, and I sold my client on BC thinking this was doable in the events module, but it seems maybe not so without a ton of custom coding.
    1. Book an event online,
with option for multiple (say 1-5 people at a fixed cost per person),
and checkout using only Pay Pal (standard or pro, doesn't matter, but I think Standard won't work without shopping cart).
    2. The events are every day but Sunday all year long (just admission to an attraction), so is there a way to upload months in advance so they don't have to be manually entered?
I'm so grateful for any assistance.

    This is all very achievable:
    • Events you can add multiple people to book.
    • PayPal you use use our APP that's in the BC Appstore (Liam to confirm is works with bookings)
I'm sales and marketing at Pretty, so I'm not the person to advise on how all this fits together. But I'm sure Liam can point you in the right direction.
If you need some consulting or us to do it for you just let me know [email protected]

  • Selling pdf's online with the standard or Pro purchase?

Can you sell pdf's on your website, regardless of the type of license standard or Pro?

But note that Acrobat, while it makes PDF, does not contain anything related to a shop, or creating a web site, or protecting your PDFs from copying.

  • Standard vs Pro for Terminal Services

I know Acrobat Standard and Pro both have support for TS, but is one better suited for TS then the other?

I'd say standard as it's a smaller application, but if you need features that come with Pro, then you go with Pro.
In other words, they are both equally suited really.

I am on a Windows 7 OS attempting to reduce pdf size with my Adobe Acrobat Standard XI & Pro.  The application keeps timing out and  at the Subsetting embedded fonts portion and the application gives "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then closes.  The document is 275 pages.  Is there something I can do to stop this?

    Hi Ricci,
Since when are you facing this issue? Did you tried system restore to a date before this problem occured.
Does acrobat stop working when you open this specific pdf file or with any pdf file that you open?

  • Concurrent Acrobat X Standard and Pro?

Most of our employes run Acrobat X Standard, and a few require Acrobat X Pro.  We already own all of the Standard and Pro licenses that we need.  We have a Windows 2008 Terminal Server x64 and would like to install both Standard and Pro side by side.
We tested on a workstation, designating different install paths for Standard and Pro (and otherwise default settings),  Pro over-wrote Standard.  In the reverse order of installing, Standard won't over-write Pro.  Either way, we couldn't get both running.
What can we do to support concurrent versions?
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Reader 8 compatible with Acrobat Standard and Pro 7?

Our organization has Adobe Reader 7 deployed to all users. Some users also have Acrobat Standard 7 or Acrobat Pro 7. We want to upgrade all users to Adobe Reader 8 (or maybe 9) but do not want to upgrade Standard and Pro users yet.
I have not been able to find any information about compatibility issues with Reader 8 and older versions of Acrobat, but last time we did an upgrade in similar fashion we experienced issues. Any insight?

Thanks for the reply. I stumbled across something today after posting. I had already known that If the ARX user also had one of the other products (AAXS or AAXP), then they would get the dialog box. Here is what I just figured out: if the user uninstalled ARX and re-installed (still having both ARX and AAXS or AAXP in the end) then they no longer get the dialog box. It seems like perhaps its an issue the AAXP and AAXS are overwriting something in the registry.

  • Is standard Macbook pro slower than the MBP Retina

Is standard Macbook pro 13 with i7, 8GB RAM, going to be slower than the macbook pro retina?

    farooq_opf,
the higher-end non-Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 2.9 GHz Core i7 CPU.  The higher-end Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 2.8 GHz Core i7 CPU. Both of these models are dual-core CPUs. The 15-inch Retina models have slower, quad-core CPUs. Whether the higher-end non-Retina dual-core CPU or one of the Retina quad-core CPUs is faster depends upon the particular task that you’re trying to do; for tasks that lend themselves to multithreaded processing, the quad-core CPU will probably finish faster, despite having a slower CPU.

  • Does Final Cut Studio run on a standard Macbook Pro

    Hi,
I have seen Final Cut Studio 2 and it looks superb.
Before I buy it, I want to make sure...does it run on a Macbook Pro with 2GB memory and an ATI X1600 PCIe graphics card? (Standard Macbook Pro 15" 2.33GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo)
Do I need anything else? The Apple website is not fully clear about it (I think).
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Cisco Prime upgrade (Standard to Pro)

    Hello
Can anyone help answer a query we have regarding an upgrade we need to do on Prime Infrastructure, PI.
We are running PI version 1.3 on VMware in a standard deployment.
We want to upgrade to a Pro deployment.
My understanding is that the only difference between standard and Pro, is that additional VMware resources are needed.
On the software download site, there is a separate OVA image for Pro, however there is also a Prime 2.1 upgrade installer image.
Can an existing VMware Prime be upgraded to Pro by increasing the VMware resources and running the upgrade image or does it need a clean install
    Thanks
    Martyn

You can do a restore on the new VM if you want. I typically have not and I would export the maps from the old version, add the WLC's to the new PI and then import the maps. You can then repost licenses if your running PI 2.1 or earlier. PI 2.2 will take your original license from PI 2.0 & PI 2.1.  You would just need to download the license again or open a TAC case to obtain them.
