Standard requirement class

Currently I donu2019t have sap system can any one tell me what is standard requirement class and requirement type for (sales order to delivery and billing normal case)

Hi ,
TOR is dependent on requirement type, requirement class, checking group and schedule line category.
Requirement class contains all the control parameters, required for demand mgmt/sales and distribution.The requirement class is the controlling factor for the availability check and the TOR for all sales document types.
Requirement Types are Texts that represent the planning Strategy in any application (like demand mgmt/Sales & Distribution. A requirement type is allocated to a single requirement class,but a requirement class can be allocated to more than one requirement type. The requirement type is displayed in the sales order is based on the item category and the MRP type of the material.

Dear all,
I am working on a project in which there are only trading goods. Majority of the items are make to order & few are make to stock.
For the make to order scenario, what will be the requirements type & requirements class to be used for the trading goods. Which item category is to be used......will it be TAN or different......
For the make to stock scenario, what will be the requirements type & requirements class to be used for the trading goods. Which item category is to be used......TAN cannot be used here as it will be used in the MTO scenario so diffferent controls.
What control parameters should I take care of while defining the requirements class & requirement type.

    As my understanding, You should copy a new requirement class and make the following parameters and its values.
   For Requirements,
      req.transfer is X
      Allocation ind. is 1
      Prod.allocation is X
     No MRP is blank
For assembly
                assembly type is 2,
                 order costing is X,
                 Special stock is E,
                 order type is ZXXX
You can refer to the sap standard MTO strategy 20 to complete your project. This is the most important parts defining the requirements for sales and distribution module.

MTO requirement class

Hi Expert,
I want to confirm with expert, the standard SAP MTO requirement class is KE? Or other requirement type?
By the way, I hit an error message in GL account where I am doing a MTO order with internal order. My error message is GL account is not a cost element.
As far as I researched from the forum, for cost based object, it should post to GBB VAY account and not GBB VAX account, however my MTO with internal order is hit to GBB VAX which is not correct. Any expert know what setting I need to set for my requirement class or other setting in the system that I can do?
What should I check in the system?

SPRO>MATERIALS MANAGEMENT>VALUATION&ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT>ACCOUNT DETERMINATION>ACCOUNT DETERMINATION WITHOUT WIZARD>DEFINE ACCOUNT GROUPING FOR MOVEMENT TYPES.
check out for you movement type.
As stsated earlier take help of your FI consultant.

Is it Advicable to modify standard message class?

Hi Experts,
I need a small confirmation.Is modifying standard message class is having any restrictions?
Currently in SE91 message class number 002 i need to modify text .Is it ok to directly do and transport or need to take any extra precautions?

Thanks for the suggestion.
Actually message class name: HRTIMOOREC.
In that one message always shows what ever leave action is it shows as 'Number of days leave 5. Apply sick leave for HR'.
Requirement is just to remove 'Apply Sick Leave for HR'.
so that it wont confuse the clients who are applying for some other leaves..so request is to just modify
that number 001.
So in general need to modify SAP programs we required Access keys here its not required i guess...
Now Thomas is there any things need to taken care or general Message class how we do the same and Transfer? Thanks

Customize Standard Java Class

Hi,
I need to customize a standard java class. I decomplied the source code of the class file, make the changes as required, and then compile it and upload it to the original path.
The problem is that I am receiving java exception NoSuchMethod error after customizing. Even though I revert it to the original one, I am receiving the same error. I did re-bounce the HTTP server.
The class is $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/po/communicate/POGenerateDocument.class
Am I missed any important steps?

Purpose of Requirement Class

What is the purpose of requirement class?

The requirements class contains all control features for planning such as relevance for
planning, requirements planning strategy and requirements consumption strategy. In
addition, it is specified at a global level whether an availability check is to take place for
the material in the sales and distribution documents on the basis of the ATP quantity
(ATP = available to promise) and whether requirements are to be passed on. A finer
degree of control can be obtained for sales documents using the schedule line category.
Replenishment lead time is only included in the check performed on the basis of the
ATP quantity.

Change the Data Type of a Standard Required Field

Hello Experts,
Need to know if is it possible to change the data type of a standard field. The field is marked as a required field.
For example: If a standard field is an Object Picker and I would like to change it to a string field. Is it possible? How can I do it?!

Hi Igor,
Since you cannot hide a required field, what you can do is move the standard required field to someplace less noticable (like the bottom of the page) and then use a validation script to set it to some benign value.

Error in requirement class while assigning service order type.

Hello All,
I am getting below error message whenever I am trying to assign a service order type to requirement class.
This the error meassage:
Maintenance order type ZSC3 is either not flagged as a service order type or revenue posting is allowed for this order type.
System Response
The system does not allow any further processing.
Procedure
Enter a service order type that does not allow revenue postings.
Please help urgently.

Ya do same thing but I dont think using this FM will solve the problem...
You get the Update Terminated message when the normal course of the program has been halted by user intervention.
Now could u please check that are u calling any FM in your program.
If yes just list out all of them.

Requirement class MRP control ?

Hi Gurus,
i have created a material with strategy 40. first i created sales orders without changing any option in Requirement class. then i run MRP. planned orders are created for sales order.
after that i changed the requirement class as No MRP and creatred new sales orders when i run MRP The sales orders which i created after changing the Requirement class is getting added to the planned order.
as the second sales orders should not consider in MRP Why they are gettind added to the planned order.is there any other control that controls the sales order MRP consideration.

Check the requirement type on the sales order and make sure that your requirement type assigned to the requirement class was selected.

Great exercise to document the problem like this. It got me thinking about how an app with modules would be different from an app that does not use modules. Solution: I moved the dummy reference of PersonPhotoView out to the main application file (as opposed to being inside the module) and it worked. I've probably been lucky not to have experienced this problem earlier, because for most other entities I have an instance attached to my model which is linked / compiled with the main application.

Special stock-E in Requirements class 011-Delivery requirement

To the best of my knowledge, in OVZG, for Requirement Class, the field will be blank for "Special Stock".
However, if you want to add, just copy the requirement class and assign the value by renaming the requirement class.

Modify Standard Abstract Classes.

I would like to know what is the approach to extend a
Standard Delivered Abstract Class.
I tried the following approach, but it doesnt seem to work.
I want to add some methods to the standard Abstract Class
CL_CRM_AUI_ENTITY. So i created a copy(not inheritance )
-> ZCL_CRM_AUI_ENTITY and added a new abstract method to this class.
The Class CL_CRM_AUI_ONEORDER implements the methods of the abstract class. I implemented the new method here.
Now in my Application :
The following code works - Reference to the standard delivered abstract class cl_crm_aui_entity.
data : lv_bol_entity type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity lv_aui_entity type ref to cl_crm_aui_entity.
IF lv_bol_entity is bound.
lv_aui_entity ?= lv_bol_entity.
ENDIF.
The following code does not work and gives me a CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR.
data : lv_bol_entity type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity,
lv_aui_entity type ref to zcl_crm_aui_entity.
IF lv_bol_entity is bound.
lv_aui_entity ?= lv_bol_entity.
CATCH...
ENDCATCH.

Is the solution then to modify the standard delivered abstract class or can we work around this?

Decorators work well if a Class define an interface. Using decorators gives the power to add multiple features which can freely combined without creating all combinations of classes.
If e.g. you want to enable tracing of each method you implement a trace decorator and put in the original implementation. Another decorator may due additonal security checks. If you now want to combine both you just can put the original instance in the first decorator and then in the second. With single inheritance you may need much more classes.
But similar to inheritance, the instances of the base class wont be able to call instances of the encapsulation. The decorator can replace or enrich the base class only.
I wonder why you want to make the original class to use your changes. Is it not sufficient that all programs using your enriched instances work with your additions.

Requirements class is not defined

Hi,
if I try to add a new item to a contract, I receive the message "Requirements class y1 is not defined".
I double checked the whole requirement customizing and y1 is there and also assigned to the item category determined.
Does anyone know what's the problem?

Well, mysterious but I deleted and recreated the whole requirement class and it works.

Cannot load required classes for service SLD Data supplier

Hello Experts,
I am trying to use the SLD Data supplier service from visual administartor for registering my DEV EP 7.0 engine in central SLD.When am trying to access that particular service from visual admin,it is throwing an error saying that:"Cannot load required classes for SLD Data Supplier service and please refer the not for resolution Note No:1017526.
My NW EP 7.0 is at SP17 level and as per the above note all settings are fine and the relevant application is also started well.
Please suggest us for any possible solution.

Thanks, worked for me too.
Only in my case, when I moved the file, the sld data provider service did not start at all after reboot of the instance.
Also, the sap.com/tcsldwd~main application refused to start.
I then copied the file back, this time maintaining an entry in both locations and reboot the instance. Everything started working after I reboot the instance. The error also disappeared and I was able to change the SLDuser password.
