Standard SAP serial number

if I use internal number range for serial number, will standard sap generate the same serial number for two different materials?
lets say, for the first time i am create a production order for a material for 1 pc.
SAP generated serial number 1 for Mat A
then if I create production order first time for MAT B, will the serial number start with 1 for this material or will it start with 2?

I do understand what you mean.
Anyways since you've decided to do this with internal numbering which the standard system does not support, ask your basis person to get you the access code, so you can modify the standard program.
But yes, as with all customer modifications, it will be your responsibility to manage the life cycle of this code, as SAP would not do that nor ensure any compatibility.
If you want SAP to do that, then get in touch with SAP Consulting.

To your new update, all I would say is it requires a review from a business process standpoint. Using which type of serial numbering will be an outcome of that. So if you've not firmed the BPD, then it makes little sense to get working on which type of serial numbering you want for these new sets of materials coming from the newly acquired plant.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard - invalid serial number after transfer

Hello,
Trying to install my Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on a new computer.
I followed the instructions to deactivate the licence on the old computer and documented my serial number (out of the REGISTRY). I also got the message, that the deactivation was successful.
When I now try to install the software on the new computer, this fails with a message that the serial number is invalid (but I checked serveral times for typing errors).
Any help?

What is in the registry is not necessarily the serial number. If you registered the software, you can find the serial number under your account on the Adobe website.

Acrobat 9 Standard - Invalid Serial Number Issue

I had Acrobat 9 standard on my machine and after a hard drive crash, I have not been able to re-install the app. I keep on getting invalid serial number. Can anyone help?

I am sending a solution, try this it may resolve your issue,
Product type :- Acrobat 6,7,8,9.
Issue :- Acrobat has technology in such a way that if you uninstall, reinstall it on the same windows computer or upgrade it to new version at the same windows computer, when you try to serialize this program during installation or after launch, it gives you error as "invalid serial no.",
Reason :- Reason is when you uninstall it or install the upgraded version which tries to uninstall the old version, at times it dosn't delete the registry keys from the registry editor at windows, so when you try to install the same version or upgraded version of Acrobat, Acrobat registry keys conflict with each other as they are almost at the same location.
Important Note :- Before you try this solution make sure you back-up the HKEYS on which you will be work, (To back-up right click on the HKEY, select option Export)
Solution :- 1) A) At Windows XP > go to start > go to run > in the run search bar type the command as "regedit", search for the same
                   B) At Windows Vista / 7 > go to start > go to search bar at the bottom of the startup menu > type "regedit", search for the same
                2) Regedit will open the registry editor > go to left hand side panel where you will see all the registry keys starting with HKEY
                3) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, double click on that, same way go to Software/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat, Delete the key Adobe Acrobat.
                4) Same way go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat, Delete the same
                    ( You may or may not see Adobe Acrobat key on both the HKEYS, if you see this key on only one HKEY, delete that, it may still work)
               5) Run the installation again.

Just purchase Acrobat XI Standard and when I went to open the program for the first time an alarm come up "Serial number upgrade" Do I need more software to run XI?

Did you buy a Full version or an Upgrade version?
If you bought an Upgrade version, do you already own a previous version of Acrobat? If not, then you cannot use the Upgrade version. You need the Full version.

Pls find here some details about generating alphanumeric serial numbers in production order as below :
You can generate alphanumeric serial number with the following BADI / Customer Exit:
Name of Enhancement : IQSM0001
Name of Function Module Exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
Name of Include : ZXQSMU01
ZXQSMU01:
This user exit can be used to create the serial numbers automatically for material of a production order. Number of serial numbers generated will be equal to the total number of quantity. The purpose behind development of this user exit was to attach prefix in each serial number generated.
so as per your requirement you can generate serial number like ABC0001 etc.
Process Steps:
For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
1. Get serial number profile for a material in respective plant.
2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
3. If profile is u2018XYZu2019 generate the serial numbers for the given quantity of material in production order.
General Program Structure
For exit: EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001
1. Get the serial number profile using function module 'MARC_SINGLE_READ' for a material.
2. Check if the profile is u2018XYZu2019.
3. If the serial number profile is u2018XYZu2019 then generate the serial numbers for the given production order quantity of a material.
4. Concatenate ABC as a prefix to the all generated serial numbers
Provide above details reg. implementation BADI / Enhancement to your ABAPer and go ahead.

Adobe can not validate the serial number for CS6 Design Standard. What goes wrong?

After purchasing and downloading and installing the CS6 Design Standard package serial number is requested,. After completing the SN (as sent) I get the following message: "We can not validate this serial CS6 Design Standard". What am I doing wrong

That entries are blocking the product to reach Adobe servers.
Move your hosts file to desktop and open it from there.
Then remove entries like " 127.0.0.1 lm.licenses.adobe.com " ( There should not be any Adobe related entries )
Once you have removed, close hosts window.
The drag the file back to etc folder and replace it with original hosts file.. ( open hosts once again and confirm there are no adobe entries.

Serial number copy functionality when creating return orders from standards

Serial number is not copying when i create return order from the standard orders in below scenario.
I implemented one BADI for copying Serial number to Sales order when doing Post goods receipt.
So after doing inbound delivery and PGR, serial number is copied to the sales order but when i create return order with reference to the Standard order Serial number is not copying.
When i go VA02 for standard order and selecting the technical objects then if i create the return order serial number is copying.
Please help me in the above issue.

Adobe 11 std, Installation, serial number not valid.

Good afternoon,
While finishing the installation of Adobe 11 standard, the serial number is requested.
I input the one provided in the License certificate issued by the SW provider in our company.(hiding some digits for security reason ) but the program says the serial is not correct. I also tried to redeem this code in the following site: https://creative.adobe.com/redeem and the error persists (attach screenshot)
Could you please confirm if it's our SW provider's fault. Are we doing anything incorrect. Please this is urgent.

The serial number has aleady been activated on 2 computers

When I start Illustrator I get an error 'Activation limit reached for Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Standard', 'The serial number has already been activated on 2 computers'.
The computers it was previously on have been wiped clean so I cant deactivate it on them. The help docs say this:
What happens if my computer is stolen or damaged and cannot be repaired?
If your computer is stolen, damaged beyond repair or the hard drive is completely re-imaged, the activation will be lost. In either case you can install and start using the Adobe product on your new computer, which will automatically detect the problem if you already had two computers activated. The activation process will guide you through the new activation, even if the prior computer is no longer available.
However the activation process isn't guiding me at all! I cant use this software now and nothing in the docs gives any indication how to fix this.

Serial number null

pls can someone explain why I get the following error when I try and run adobe xi standard
this serial number supports null language. please launch acrobat in null.

Still doesn't work for us.
We're only seeing this since the 11.0.8 patch, but that might just be a coincidence, as we tried our existing package of 11.0.7 and it's not validating either.
This only seems to be affecting new installs, not patched installs.
This appears to be a change that has happened on the Adobe side. We're not going to be distributing our Serial Number for end-users to re-enter. Adobe needs to provide a better fix for sysadmins to deploy silently.

Serial number in standard report

We are using serial number for most of the materials. Whenever material movement happens, system asks for the serial number. But the serial number which is used for this material movement is not appearing in any of the standard report - COOIS-Component/Documented Goods Movement or in MB51 or any other else.
Please guide how to insert the serial number field in all the material movement standard report.

Does anyone have any experience with this transaction? How does it work and what is the process flow?

1. Create STO or Sales Order
2. Create Delivery
3. Create Warehouse Transfer Order
4. Pick/Confirm Warehouse Transfer Order
5. Scan serial numbers to completely picked delivery via LM80
6. Post Goods Issue
My question is: is there a way to 'pick' via serial numbers? The process would then be that you scan in serial numbers during picking

Error message with a Serial Number after purchasing CS6 Design Standard
