Standard Text Indentation Issue

Hi All,
I have a genuine requirememnt, but ironically after a lot of search could not find anything, so I am bound to post this thread.
The requirement is as follows:-
The client has created a standard text in SO10, and that is required to be populated in the Smartform.
The text has some Numbered Lines which they want to be indented as follow -
This is a test message just to show what the requirement is.
The problem is as follows -
      1. I am able to make a paragraph format in a style and can indent this line as shown here. but the problem arises when this line moves like this. The subsequent lines after the first line (as here it is) should be indented as it normally happens in a word file. The word "arises" on the second line should start below "I" on the first line.
I would appreciate any guidlines or help from anyone in order to fulfill this requirement.
If I have been unable to explain my issue please let me know I will rectify and will post again.
Thanks in advance.
Pankaj Agarwal.

Hello Andrea,
As per i know in Smartform we have to use INCLUDE TEXT  for the text node . In that you can include your text object - Z_SD_AB_CLOSING. Kindly check the below screen :
In text object put - Z_SD_AB_CLOSING.
Language - EN
Please try and let me know if this is not your requirement.

  • Include statement called by Standard text - Smartform issue

    Hi all
I'm in a project to migrate Sap Script to Smartform and I'm facing a issue with Include texts. Some texts are actually a command that calls another text - using /: Include statemente.
I debugged the Include text on Smartforms and I found the part of the code that simply delete any command /: (and a few other formats)
so I really don't know if someone already found a way to make this work.
    Thanks for all help

  • Issue in creating standard text while uploading .ITF file

    Hi all,
I have created a shipping label using BARONE software . Barone software create .ITF which is then loaded into the standard text and finally called into the SAP SCRIPT to print the label..
The issue is that the lines of code generated  in standard text is 16667. So while saving it says that it cannot save more than 15000 lines . Thus the standard text is not created.
Can anyone tell how to handle this standard text which has more than 15000 lines .
    Thanks and Regards,
    Syed

    hi,
Make sure you save your TIFF file in Packbits compressed format and in
SE78 when uploading make sure you have the compression option ticked

  • Standard text issue

hi friends, I've a simple issue. i've 4 company codes and 3 languages(EN, ES, PT) and two standard texts(one for the header and the other for footer). I've to create ST for each company code and language. Initially, I've created one standard text for the header for company code 415 and language EN. Now, the issue whether I've to create the ST  for the differnt languages (ES PT) of the same company code? Also, in the standard text, I want to put one word as underlined such as
Points would be <u>awarded</u> for the correct answer.
    thanks,
    shamim.

    Hi Shamim,
You have to create a standard text element for each company code in each language.this is because the text in the standard text  varies as per the language.
For the under line Option Specify the
word in between <U> and </>.
    Eg: <U> great</>.

  • Issue while uploading .TIFF file into Standard text using RSTXLDMC

    Hi All,
We are facing issues while uploading .TIFF file into standard text through program RSTXLDMC.
    Getting the following error.
TIFF format error: No baseline TIFF 6.0 file.
The image is a colored one.
Please provide me solution if anyone has worked in this area.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anand Raj Kuruba.

    Hi,
Often this error occurs because the TIFF file you have has been saved with some form of compression.  You need to open in a picture edit program and save as TIFF making sure options are set so there is no compression.

I have to disagree. None of the labels, except this one are hard-coded via Personalization-Means and most Texts come indeed from the OTR, the Label T_ACTYPE_LABEL also has an entry in OTR (see my posts above) but is only non-changable by enhancements because the component configuration was "abused" to overload the OTR and coding in runtime. I still can't really believe this one is intentional....

This will be an issue since the word "Spesen" which is a specific German one for "Expenses" is juridically wrong if used within a specific MOREI of the Public Sector. But this is another issue and I don't want to elaborate on this one here.

  • Using Standard text in scripts

    Hi all,
I had a problem while printing standard texts in scripts.
I Know how to print standard text if we have to print it from the begining of window using
INCLUDE &T024E-TXADR& OBJECT TEXT ID ADRS LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PAR
But my problem id i have print it after a hard coded text like
Delivery schedule: 'here i have to print the standard text'.
can any one please help me out how to solve the problem
    Thanks & regards
    sreehari p

    Hi,
Here's one my brother taught me - you can actually trick the system to accommodate this requirement.
Ensure that you use 2 different paragraph formats in your INCLUDE statement, using the PARAGRAPH and NEW_PARAGRAPH clauses, ie.
    INCLUDE &T024E-TXADR& OBJECT TEXT ID ADRS LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH P1 NEW-PARAGRAPH P2
Paragraph P2 (which will be used as the first line) should be created as having a Line Spacing value of 1 TW (1 twip) which is less than 1/1000th of an inch.  Also, set the Left Margin value to an offset which brings the text to the right of the Delivery schedule literal.
Paragraph P1 (which will be used for all subsequent lines) should be set up as normal - ie. use the same paragraph format as that for displaying your "Delivery schedule:" literal.  If you need the text to be indented in line with the first line, then copy your existing paragraph to a new paragraph but set the Left Margin value to the same as that in P2.
What this does is to output the first line of text indented by the margin after skipping 1 twip, giving the illusion that it's actually on the same line.  Since subsequent lines are output with a normal (or normal/indented) paragraph, that just follows with normal spacing on subsequent lines.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • # appearing in standard text.

    Hello,
I have created a standard text and using the text in a smartform. There are many words with apostrope in them. For eg consumer's. But when it is printed in the smartform , the text is printed as consumer#s. Other standard texts which contains words with apostrope are printing correctly in the smartform. I have compared properties of both the standard texts and they are same. No styles have been used in either case. But , only in one case the "#" symbol is being printed instead of the apostrophe.
Can you please suggest what might be the issue?

  • Standard text in Smartform Vs. SapScript.

    Hello,
I am experiencing an issue regarding standard texts in forms. If we were to create the text and format it in a certain way it may display in a SapScript form correctly, but in the Smartform it will be a little off. This also happens the other way around. Has anybody found a way to resolve this so that the formatted text displays the same way in both types of forms?

Thanks for your response, yes the window is wide enough. What it seems to be is mainly in the tabs of the standard text.  For example...
    Here is some text,,,,,,More text
    some txt,,,,,,More
In a SapScript it may show:
*I am using periods because simply using spaces is ignored. Disregard the periods.
    Here is some text...............................More text
    some txt............................................More
where in a smartform it would show something like
    Here is some text..............................More text
    some txt ..............More
In these cases, the width of the window in which the text is displayed is more than adequate. If I format it so that it will display correctly in the Smartform, then it would be mis-formatted in the SapScript

You have bigger problems than you realize.   On this page - the one after the Splash intro page,
    http://www.transgenic-rabbit-models.com/Home.html
As seen in Firefox with increased text.  See screenshot.
Notice how your text boxes are colliding into other text boxes?  This happens when web designers paint themselves into a corner with a rigid layout.  Web pages must be flexible for all screen and text sizes.
You are using APDivs as a primary layout method which is a bad choice.  And here is why.

Comment this and declare a variable and pass 'X' or space into that as per the requirement.

  • Printing Standard TEXT  with multiple paragraphs in smartform

    Hello all,
I have a requirement that, there is a very long standard text stored in a notification of an order in SAP ISU system. The text contains multiple paragraphs with indentations. I want to print this text directly into the smartform WITH SAME INDENTATION AND PARAGRAPH FORMATTING.
First i am reading the entire text using FM READ_TEXT.
My first  problem is even if i read the text into a variable of type STRING , it just prints 255 characters of it.
And secondly if i try to printout it using LOOP AT node in smartforms, it prints the entire content but without any formatting .
Please let me know whether it is possible to print standard text in smartforms or not
    Thanks
    Nilesh Puranik

    Hey ,
Well thanks for that but my replies got posted 2-3 times unknowingly, could'nt help it.
Coming to the problem, i  guess you did not get my point when i say dynamic texts for each service order.
In my Report i am using LOOP AT ITAB ..where in itab i  am storing a service order no i.e. ITAB-ORDER_NO
Now for every order there is standard text maintained in SO10 starting with order name
so my code goes like this.
    LOOP AT ITAB.
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
      EXPORTING
        ID                            = 'LTXT'
        LANGUAGE            = 'E'
        NAME                      = ITAB-order_no
        OBJECT                   = 'QMSM'
      TABLES
        LINES                         = LINES .
    CALL <SMART FORM Fm>
    ENDLOOP.
Hence whatever Standard text maintained for that service order i  want to display it as it is in the smartform with same paragraphs formatting and indentation.
IF i use a variable in smartform and pass the entire text  after using READ_TEXT , it does not format the text  and it just prints only 255 characters even if i define it of type STRING .
Hence i am stuck in this scenario.
    Appreciate ur help though.
    Thanks
    Nilesh

  • Printing text in text area in so10(standard text)

    Dear all,
I need to print a text in text area.i mean i need a box in which i can fill text in standard text (tcode-so10).Using box command we will be doing in script.
But is there any possibility that i can solve the issue in so10 itself as i am generating offer letter in pb60 it takes my standard text there itself. So is there any solution for this issue?
    This issue is very urgent.
    Thank you,
    bhavani.

    Hi
KEEP a BREAK-POINT and debug the internal table lines how it is coming
some overlap must be happening ..check.
Also check the code where you are getting this text into internal table.
    1) One way to debug smartform is to debug the Function Module of that smartforms.
If you want to debug particular smartform node that the solution would be,
insert a "Program Line" just above the node you want to debug and this program line write a normal abap breakpoint.
So whenever you call the smartforms, it will stop at this breakpoint and you can debug onwards.
    2) SFTRACE can be used for debugging SMARTFORMS.
