Standard Text not available in language EN problem

Hi,
Iam getting this message "Text 'Receipt' does not exist in language EN,so no mail has been created " error whenever iam trying to send a mail to the applicant in HR module.
On further investigating thru table STXH and transaction SO10, i see that the text is already there in Language "EN" with text ID as "PALT".
I dunt understand why this error is showing up..can anyone please help with this.

Inline text boxes - text not available in galley and story view

We have a book with loads of inline text boxes used as captions for inline images. The text in these inline boxes cannot be seen in story or galley view. Is there a way around this?

I think there's a fundamental knowledge gap going on here, not a bug or glitch.
ALL "normal" InDesign (.indd) files will open in InCopy with that message ("Because this document contains no InCopy stories, Galley View and Story View are not available"). That is the expected behavior. They open in InDesign fine, but they open in InCopy with that alert.
This is because without any prior preparation, InDesign files are read-only in InCopy. You can open them in IC, and you can still select text in the stories you see in Layout view, copy and paste that text elsewhere, but you can't edit them. The file is read-only.
With no editable stories, there is nothing for Galley or Story views to show. (They only show editable stories.) Thus the alert.
As Robert said, the designer has to prep the layout first. They have to export content to InCopy format. Doing so creates an external file that's linked to the layout.
Open the .indd file that's giving you trouble ... in either InDesign or InCopy ... and look in its Links panel (Window > Links). Do you see any listings for .incx files in there? If you don't see any, or they're missing, that's the root of the problem.

Of course, if you know all this already, my apologies. It's hard to tell sometimes from the posts. If Links does show .incx files and they're not missing or anything, check the the Assignments panel (in either ID or IC). Do you see any stories listed there?

Standard Text not getting refreshed.

Hi All,
I am working on a script where in I got to use a standard text. I am printing the text on script. And no error is coming. But when I print more than 1 invoice continuously I am getting the same standard text multiple times.
Can any one help me?

I hope you are not clearing the standard text before you populate it.
Please use below set of function modules.

DHTML Expanding Hotspot and Text Not Available

I have RoboHelp 8.0.2. Just uninstalled RoboHelp from one workstation and loaded it onto another. I also moved my project to a new folder - I am now publishing the content thru an IIS server. The Options under DHTML are greyed out. I'm assuming there is a component missing. Does any one know what this might be or if a missing component is not the issue, what the problem may be?

You do realize that these options aren't usually available until you select something first, right?
For example, if you just open a topic and haven't selected anything inside the topic yet, the options are generally disabled. But if you first select some text, then click the menu, more options are available because you have first selected something.

Standard Text not starting on current page in sap script

Hi all,
       I have a sapscript which displays a dynamic table. After that table I have included the standard text.
Ideally this standard text should display immediately after the table. But this is not happening. After the table, entrire page is left blank, and standard text starts from the next page.
How can i display standard text immediately after the table.

    Try with calling PROTECT and ENDPROTECT using function module CONTROL_FORM in driver program.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONTROL_FORM'

        PERFORM item_dynamic_table.
        PERFORM item_standard_text.
        CALL FUNCTION 'CONTROL_FORM'
          EXPORTING

Call the TEXT elements in corresponding performs.

Standard text not printing

Hi all,
I am using /: INCLUDE ZTEST_TEXT OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
in my smart form. nothing is printing.What was the mistake in my statement?It gets printed if I use Include text and give same values.But why doesn't it print Standard text value if use above statement in text element.Please help.
I want to use this statement only because I have seen in SAP HELP that this statement gives the latest version of the standard text value.

Hindi Language not available in LANGUAGE LOV of "Offering"

I want to make a offering for a Class, for which I want the Language to be "Hindi", I have applied India Legislation patch also but Hindi Language is not available, Can someone tell me which is the Lookup for Languages in OLM.

- (resp): System Administrator > Install > Natural Languages
- Query "Language Name = Hindi"
- Once found, check the 'Enabled' flag and Save

My camera often gets stuck or says "camera not available" what's the problem? What should I do?

Plain Text Not available in Control Properties

Hi,
I am not sure if this is a strange behavior or its an expected one. We have a BI query and pulled in an Input Form and then the output to a table. On clicking on this recoed it should display all the output fields in a form with its name and value. For the parameters I do not see an option for selecting Plain Text. It gives me only input field, dropdown, text editor.
Why is this happening? Is there any way that I can map these fields to a plain text?

Sorry for not being clear. From the BI Query Out port I have a Table which will display the result values. Now when I select any of the row item in the table there is a form connected from the table out port. This form should display all the details of the row item. When I try to look into the control properties for these parameters in the form I don't have an option to select plain text.
I can only display the values in the input field. I want these values to be displayed in plain text instead of input field. Logically it makes sense because there should be two plain text fields for a value because one text field will display the Parameter name and one will display its corresponding value. That's the reason it is not available.
But just chekcing if there are any easier way to do this other than creating 2 plain text fields for one parameter and mapping these items. Because I have around 40 fields to be displayed which will be make my life worse by manual creation

Formatting for Standard Texts not Applying

Now Ia m working on BTE's . In BTE function module I am writing some text and saving it By SAVE_TEXT. In that Iam possing all the variables Including Style Name.And I am using this standard text as a body of the email.In that email Body the Formating options are not appying.
Can anyone throw some inputs on this.

The first thing you could try is a reset of the printing system. Please note that this action will remove all printers and scanners from the Printers & Scanners preference pane.
With the reset complete, unplug the Epson USB cable from the Mac for a minute and then reconnect it. This action should result in the printer being added again to the Mac automatically. If this does happen, then see if you can print again.
If the printer is not added again automatically, open Printers & Scanners and click the plus button to add the Epson. Once this is done, then see if you can print again.

SAPSCRIPT with Include Standard Text not converted in PDF Bitmap Image

When I use the function module CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF for import a spool, the image wasn't impoted. The Sapscript spooled have a include standard text that contain a image in BMON.
If I view the OTF SPOOL the image was stored, but when I execute the Function Module CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF, the File PDF that I Download is missed of the image.

Attendance/Absence Text not available in CATS_APPR_LITE layout

In the display layout of CATS_APPR_LITE the attendance/absence type description is not available for display. Is there a way to display the attendance/absence type description in the layout?

SAP suggested the following
you can fairly easily include the desired textual descriptions in the
report list by using the BADI CATS_REPORTING. In order to include the
fields the following needs to be done:
a) a new field zzawart_text needs to be appended to the structures
CATSXT_COMP_DETAIL and CATSDB_ALV
b) In the BADI Method BEFORE_DISPLAY_APPR
the function module CATS_HR_ABSENCE_ATTEND_TEXT needs to be
called for every record that has the AWART field filled
the result of the function call is moved into the new field

Preview "Markup Text" not available.

I'm trying to highlight text in a PDF article within my Preview application (version 4.1). I have the proper permissions to do so, and I know how to do the text mark-ups. Unlike another article in which I'm able to highlight and underline text, for some reason this one won't allow me to first select any of the text in order to do the mark-ups.
Again, I checked under "Inspector-->Encryption" and it says as clear as day that I have permission to do all of these things. What's wrong with this picture??

If you create a new user in System Preferences->Accounts and the problem does not exist with that new user, then the problem is "local" meaning it's related to a specific user account (usually a corrupted .plist) but if the problem exists with the new user, then it's a problem with the OS and not a specific user.
Most files, libraries, etc have their system counterparts and separate versions for each user.
Most issues can be resolved by creating a new user and seeing if the issue occurs with that user.
You can create another admin user or a user with limited ability. I would suggest creating another admin account for the purposes you are interested in. You can simply remove the account once it is determined where the problem is.
