Standard text printing missing on Smartform

Hi All,
I am using standard text in Smartform.
Standard text contains 'terms and conditions' hence it's used for printing in second page.
For printing standard text one window other than Main window has been created in second page.
Now when I am taking print preview of smartform only two pages are visible and on second page complete standard text is not displayed. As standard text is of two pages then rest missing text should come on third page as a continuity.
But missing standard text is not getting diplayed.
Any suggestion what shall we do to print complete standard text.
Regards,
Amit

I tried to use the 2nd option provided by you but still this prolem is not resolved.
Missing Standard text is not going in a new page.
I tried to expand the window size and now entire text is coming in a single page. But by this way page window is not same as in a first page.
Is there any otherway to print the rest missing text in next page of the smartform.

Amit

  • How to get the standard texts available in a smartforms

    Hi Experts,
How can we find out the standard texts that are exist in a particular smartform . is there any table/function module available to get those standard texts? I am finding the table STXFTXT, from that I am getting only textline. But I need the standard text names that are used in a smartform.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suresh

    hi,
1,Use SO10 Tcode to write standard text in Smartform.
    2.For long text
    method1
Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to include text
then you can input text name/text object/text id/language
    method2
create PROGRAM LINE node - use FM READ_TEXT to read it to a internal table
then use LOOP or TABLE node to display it
    For TEXT module(For foreign language)
    Tr-code:smartforms -- choose Text module(not choose form)--create a text module object
then enter smartform Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to text module
input the text module name which created by above
    3.
    1. take function module name of the smartform.
    2. goto se37 and type that fm name.
    3. goto attributes tab
    4. double click on either program or include .
    5. There u can find all the subroutines used inside smartform.
    6. search for "perform %move using %textkey-name".
4.Standard Texts are created in SO10 Tcode and stored in STXH table with OBject ,ID and NAME parameters. We can use Read_Text FM to read the text.
check the tables STXH & STXL.
    5.
How to CAll Standard Text in Smart Forms
In SFs you can insert the standard tests using the TEXT node. Create a TEXT NODE. Then in the GENERAL ATTRIBUTES of this TEXT node select INCLUDE TEXT in the TYPE option. Then you have to enter the text name, object , ID and language in the provided fields. Then if you dont want any error if there is no text in the corresponding text then CHECK the check box "No errors if no text available.

  • Sapscript Standard Text Printing - Format Problem

    Heros,
I wanted to print one standard text(Basic Text of Process order) in sapscript.I am using the INCLUDE command instead of Read_text FM , so that I can keep the Paragraphs of that text intact. But I am falling short of two requirements of my client.
    1. He has highlighted Some words of the text and underlined some of the text. He wants that character format intact in spascript. How can I do that?
    2. The script initaly was using Read_Text and was storing the value in a variable wa_line and was printing in script as
    <b>[LI ]  DESCRIPTION:  &wa_line&</b>
    so it was printing like
    DESCRIPTION:   fasfoihfaishfiahfiafhfihfahfiashfiahfahfiafiasfihahfisahfafasi
But now I am using INCLUDE command as follows
    <b>[LI] DESCRIPTION:
    [: /] INCLUDE OBJECT BLAH BLAH</b>
    So it is printing like
    <b>DESCRIPTION:
    fasfoihf
    aishfiahfiafhfihfa
    hfiashfiahfa
    hfiafiasfihahfisahfafasi</b>
I want to get them in same line.
    I mean
    <b>DESCRIPTION: fasfoihf
    aishfiahfiafhfihfa
    hfiashfiahfa
    hfiafiasfihahfisahfafasi</b>
    Is that possible?
    <b>Reward Point Guranteed.</b>

    Hi Anid,
When you are creating your standard text the default value in the tag column is *. If you change this value to = (Extended line) the display of standard text will start in the same line as the previous value (in your case it will display the standard text in the same line as DESCRIPTION:).
    Hope this solves your problem!

  • Standard text printed only on one line

    Hi experts,
I have a standard text in several lines:
    Line 1
    Line 2
    Line 3
but in the pdf form it's printing in the same line:
    Line 1 Line 2 Line 3...
    Any suggestions ?
    /Kiehn

    Hello!
    1) When you say you have Standard text is several line that does not mean, that system have is in several lines.
I don't know if you are aware or not, but while SAP system always stores long texts in 70 (or about so) char segments the fact that they are printed on one or several lines is controlled solely by formatting column that precedes each line in TLINES table. So, does your text has line breaks or new paragraph marks before those lines?
    2) If everything in above is correct, than maybe you have to check the format you use to transfer text from SAP to Adobe (in interface/context). Please, recheck what is stated [here at SAP Library|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/04/ecfab99fc345f8826490df387aaf82/frameset.htm]. All this together with correct format for field (Rich text or Plain text) plus (as stated by poster above) "Allow multiple lines" and "Expand to Fit" (vertically) formatting should do the trick.

  • Using standard PO Printing Program for Smartforms

    Hi Experts,
I am some hiccups coding my print program for a PO Smartform that am currently working on.The requirement was to use the standard print program to trigger my Smartform PO. I have read alot of threads on this, but am still clueless.
Some says to comment out the functions like "OPEN_FORM" ,"WRITE_FORM" and having your block of codes inside the "NEU_" routine.
But I noticed, there are even some conditions and logic checking before the "write_form" is called and sometimes the table entries are also cleared. In this kind of situation, how should I be passing the table data to the Smartform function module?By copying the contents to an internal table? And there are many include programs which currently the standard program has, should I be using all that too?
Appreciate your input and advice on this.
    Thanks very much.

  • Smartforms Dynamic Text option (Change standard texts dyanamically)

    Hi,
My requirement is to change standard texts dynamically in the smartform. i.e. Standard texts names are stored in a custom table, based on condition I have to print different standard texts.
    Thanks in Advance.

You can use the variable as the name of your text name.
Create a program lines to populate the variable. Use this variable as the text name. Like:
    &W_TEXT_NAME&

  • STANDARD TEXT with BITMAP command in SMARTFORM

    Hello,
I'd like to customize my smartform with picture defined by standard text.
I defined standard text in SO10:
/:   BITMAP 'xxx' OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BMON DPI xxx
.. and this standard text included to my smartform.
    But no picture appears.
    Best regards,
    Josef Motl

    Hi Josef!
If you want to use the graphics from SO10 you have to change the syntax. Instead of "bitmap" you should use "include", the object should be text and you need the textid. If you use the bitmap-call you should upload the image with SE78. If you're transporting your syntax from one system to the other you have to include the image in your transport order or you have to upload it in each system.
If you want good quality you should use SE78 and the BITMAP-call instead of SO10.
    Best regards,
    Ingo

  • Give some functionlity of standard text

    hi guru
please tell me  functionlity of standard text, where exactly it use.
    thanks
    subhasis

we use standard text for scripts and smartforms.......
You can insert standard texts, texts of the online documentation, and hypertext modules into your document. You can insert texts directly and include them by reference.
When inserting text directly, the text is inserted in the editor in formatted form. You can then edit it further.
    Inserting Standard Text
Choose Insert ® Text ® Standard.
The dialog window for inserting text appears.
Enter the text name, the text ID, and the language. To insert the text directly, select Expand immediately.
    Choose Continue.
There are two ways to format texts with forms:
In the standard SAPscript text processing (Tools ® Word processing ® Standard text), you can select a form for a document. You can then type text into the main window of the form and output the document in the format defined in the form.
For example, you can select a form for a letter. You can then type the body text of the letter in the main window. When you print the letter, the default text elements in the other windows of the form (heading, footer, and so on) are printed with the body text.
To include the contents of another text into the current text, use the INCLUDE control command. SAPscript still treats the text to be included as a separate text. The text is copied over only at the point at which the output is formatted.
Thus the use of the INCLUDE command always ensures that the most current version of a text is included into the output, since the text is not read and inserted until the output is formatted.
    Syntax:
    /: INCLUDE name
You must specify the name of the text to be inserted. It can be up to 70 characters long. If the name of the text contains spaces, then you must enclose it in quotes as a literal value. You can, alternatively, specify the name via a symbol. All remaining parameters in the INCLUDE command are optional. If an optional parameter is not specified, then SAPscript uses default values as applicable for the calling environment.
    /: INCLUDE MYTEXT
The text MYTEXT is included in the language of the calling text.
    /: INCLUDE MYTEXT LANGUAGE 'E' PARAGRAPH 'A1'
The text with the name MYTEXT and the language E is included, regardless of the language of the calling text. The paragraph format A1 will be used as the standard paragraph type for this call.
    Optional parameters:
    LANGUAGE
If this parameter is not specified, then the language of the calling text or the form language are used for the text to be included. If the language is specified, then the text will be fetched in this language, regardless of the language of the calling text.
    PARAGRAPH
The text to be included is formatted using the style allocated. The PARAGRAPH parameter can be used to redefine the standard paragraph for this style for the current call. All *-paragraphs in the included text will then be formatted using the paragraph specified here.
    NEW-PARAGRAPH
The first line of the text to be included will be given this format indicator, as long as it is not a comment or command line. If the optional PARAGRAPH parameter (see above) is not specified, then all *-paragraphs of the included text will also be formatted using the paragraph specified in the NEW-PARAGRAPH command.
    OBJECT
In order to completely specify a text, information about the text object is also required. There are a number of restrictions and other rules that depend on the object type of the calling text:
Any kind of text can be included in a form. If no object is specified, then TEXT will be used (standard texts).
In the case of a document text (DOKU object), you can include only document texts. This object type is also assumed if no object is specified in this environment.
Only hypertexts and document texts can be included in a hypertext (DSYS object). If the OBJECT parameter is missing, then DSYS is used as the default value.
In the other kinds of text you can include only standard texts (TEXT object), document texts or hypertexts. If there is no specification, then the default object is TEXT.
    ID
The text ID is a part of the text key, which permits further text objects within a given object. If no ID is specified, then the default include ID is used from the TTXID table for the calling text. If there is no entry in this table, then the text ID of the calling text is used.
The following consistency check is applied both to the ID and the object:
All text IDs are allowed in a form.
In document texts, only document texts may be included that have text IDs TX (general texts) or UO (authorization objects) and also other document texts with the same text ID as the calling document text.
In DSYS texts, all DSYS texts can be included, whatever ID they have. Document texts to be included must have one of the IDs TX or UO.
Into the other texts, standard texts with any allowable text ID, DSYS texts with all IDs, and document texts with the IDs TX and UO can be included.
The INCLUDE command returns a status code in the SAPSCRIPT-SUBRC symbol:
0: the text include was successful.
1: the command could not be executed because it contained syntax errors.
2: the rules governing the text to be included were not followed (see above).
This value cannot occur if the command is used in a SAPscript form.
4: the specified text could not be found.

  • Printing Issue in smartform!!

    Hi All,
I am running Driver prog as Background job,  which is creating a Spool as Smartform Output. I can see in spool output that pages are position in Landscape.
Even when i download the spool id to pdf file using 'RSTXPDFT4', pages are in Landscape.
But when i try to print spool, then pages are printing in Portrait position. Even at the time of printing spool, i am giving page format as 'X_65_255'. I have set smartform pages to be print in Duplex printing with landscape by setting page Property to 'D'.
Now if remove this 'D' option from Page property, Spool output is printing in landscape positions correctly but not getting printing back to back. I need to print spool output back to back.
    How to overcome this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Nick for your reply.
If i print normal word doc in duplex mode, Printer is printing. So i can printer can support duplex printing. Even i try to find OSS Note, 96102.(this note is applicable for Sapscript, but i am assuming it will is also applicable to Smartforms).
As per this note, if Standard Text SAPSCRIPT-PRINTMODETEST can give u result in duplex mode, then Printer is configure for duplex mode.
So i Tested this standard text, printing yet did not come in Duplex mode.
So i am still confuse, where is problem?
    Thanks

  • Printing Standard TEXT  with multiple paragraphs in smartform

    Hello all,
I have a requirement that, there is a very long standard text stored in a notification of an order in SAP ISU system. The text contains multiple paragraphs with indentations. I want to print this text directly into the smartform WITH SAME INDENTATION AND PARAGRAPH FORMATTING.
First i am reading the entire text using FM READ_TEXT.
My first  problem is even if i read the text into a variable of type STRING , it just prints 255 characters of it.
And secondly if i try to printout it using LOOP AT node in smartforms, it prints the entire content but without any formatting .
Please let me know whether it is possible to print standard text in smartforms or not
    Thanks
    Nilesh Puranik

    Hey ,
Well thanks for that but my replies got posted 2-3 times unknowingly, could'nt help it.
Coming to the problem, i  guess you did not get my point when i say dynamic texts for each service order.
In my Report i am using LOOP AT ITAB ..where in itab i  am storing a service order no i.e. ITAB-ORDER_NO
Now for every order there is standard text maintained in SO10 starting with order name
so my code goes like this.
    LOOP AT ITAB.
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
      EXPORTING
        ID                            = 'LTXT'
        LANGUAGE            = 'E'
        NAME                      = ITAB-order_no
        OBJECT                   = 'QMSM'
      TABLES
        LINES                         = LINES .
    CALL <SMART FORM Fm>
    ENDLOOP.
Hence whatever Standard text maintained for that service order i  want to display it as it is in the smartform with same paragraphs formatting and indentation.
IF i use a variable in smartform and pass the entire text  after using READ_TEXT , it does not format the text  and it just prints only 255 characters even if i define it of type STRING .
Hence i am stuck in this scenario.
    Appreciate ur help though.
    Thanks
    Nilesh

  • Smartforms : print standard texts or texts out of document with command in.

We used to have an output via Sapscript (printout of a purchase order) and the output was containing standard texts or text out of the purchase order, which contains commands (a test in the standard text or an include of another standard text). This text was correctly printed via sapsript, command were taken into account.
Now we have a new output for the purchase order which is working with smartforms. When working in the smartforms with a text type 'include text', commands in the text are not working.
When working with smartforms, is it not possible to include texts (out of the STXH table) which contains commands? These commands are not taken into account.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the answers!
Example how they work here : in the material master, purchasing text => somtimes include of a 'standard' text. This to avoid typing the text in all materials which use this text. We can avoid this by instead of including the text, to 'append' the standard text.
Also in some standard texts, some tests were done (on output type, purchasing organisation,.....) which we can change by reading the text in the print program and building those tests in the print program itself.
I just wanted to be sure that there was a possibility or not in Smartforms to work like that because we worked like this using sapscripts and it worked fine.
We will change this way of working and build the logic into the print program. We will inform the master data team not to use the 'include' command into a material master text but instead append the standard text directly into the material master text.
    Best regards,
    Ann.

  • How to call Subroutines,Standard Text  & using Internal Table in SmartForm

    Hi all,
need help in the following areas. Its very urgent!
1.How to CAll Subroutines in Smart Forms
2.How to CAll Standard Text in Smart Forms
    Situation:
We have an Internal Table T_SALES with all the data which am going to display in the smartform,How to retrive data from an internal table in Smart forms
Any Help in this direction would be highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Ramu

    Hi,
When you are using quantity or currency fields, you have to mentiong the reference fileds in a tab called CURRENCY/QUANTITY FILEDS in the GLOBAL DATA node.
Specifying a Currency or Quantity Reference
    Use
In the ABAP Dictionary, you can assign a currency or quantity field to a table field. In the output of these fields, the system can then insert the relevant currency or unit:
    ·        If the value field is in the same table as the corresponding currency or quantity field, the system recognizes the reference automatically, and formats the value field according to the currency or unit in the assigned field.
    ·        If the value field is in a different table from the currency or quantity field, the system cannot recognize this reference automatically.
In the second case, you must indicate this reference to the system in the form, to ensure that the value field is formatted correctly.
    Procedure
You want to assign a currency or quantity field in one table (for example, CURTAB) to a value field in another table (for example, VALTAB).
           1.      Create the reference to the currency field by entering the following values:
    -         Field Name: VALTAB-VALUE, if this is the value field of VALTAB that you want to display.
    -         Reference Field: CURTAB-CURRENCY, which is the currency field of CURTAB.
           2.      Under Data Type, specify whether the data type is a currency or quantity.
    Result
In the output of the PDF-based print form, the system formats the value field VALTAB-VALUE according to the assigned value in the currency or quantity field of the global variable CURTAB-CURRENCY.
