Standard Transaction to reset mass users password?

Hi,
Is there any Standard SAP transaction to reset password for mass users at a given time?
Appreciate your response.
Regards,

Hi Nadeem,
There is no standard SAP transaction to reset password for multiple users, and as Alex pointed out you can have custom CAT script and record SU01 and reset password.
If they are not so many then you may do it with SU01 -> enter name -> Shift+F8 (or click password reset after inputting user name in SU01), a quick way to reset password.

Zaheer

  • Mass users password reset

Hi, can I know how to reset mass users password at once. etc reset 10 users password at a one time. thx

    Hi Juan,
now, why would that be? whether you reset a single password using SU01 or batch-input record the same thing, you can always (system settings allowing) set a predefined passwort ... for an alredy existing user (and not necessarily a new one)!

  • HT4798 How to reset my user password without the apple id option?

I forgot my user password to login, and i did not select the option of allowing the apple ID to reset the user password, before forgetting my user password.
    What can I do???

Reset the password of specific users
An administrator can reset the passwords of other users using  this technique.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, click the lock to unlock it and provide an administrator name and password, select a user, and then click Reset Password.

  • How do you reset a user password without an administrator password?

How do you login to Root and change a user password? The user has only one account, his, and that is the only admin account.

Are you saying he has lost his administrator status for his account? How did these accounts get there without one admin account?
Restore Admin Status to User Account - Snow Leopard
Boot from the Snow Leopard DVD to enable the root user:
After the installer loads select your language then click on the Continue button. When the menubar appears choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu. Select the account to reset password, choose System Administrator (root). Enter a password and verify it. Save the password, then exit the installer and restart.
At the login window, or if you have it set to auto-login then log out to return to the login window, choose Other... and enter root (all lowercase) as the name, then the password that you set. As root you will have full access to the system including granting admin rights to the accounts that are standard at the moment. You also will see some additional folders on the hard drive you couldn't see before. Do not touch these in any way or you could hurt the OS. Access System Preferences->Accounts, select one of the non-admin accounts and check the box next to "Allow user to administer this computer," then log out and into the account to which you just gave admin status.
To disable root go into Accounts preferences from the admin account, click Login Options at the bottom of the list of accounts. Click the Join button next to the words Network Account Server..., click Open Directory Utility, click on the lock icon and authenticate to make changes. Under the Edit menu, choose Disable Root user.
Consult this Apple support article if you get lost.
I did not write the above as it was provided by another user.

  • OIM 11g - Reset End-User Password by Helpdesk

    Hi,
Help Desk Administrators can search the "End Users" and can "Reset the Password". I have to customize the "Reset Password Menu" which is having two options to reset the password.
    1. Manually Change the Password
    2. Auto generate the Password (Randomly Generated)
Here i have to disable the option of selecting the "Manually Change the Password". So that the HelpDesk Administrators can select only one option which "Auto Generate the Password".
    Urgent Help, highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

I think I remember (if I am not wrong) it is the xlWebApp.war/tiles/changePasswordTiles.jsp file. Actually, most of the JSP files are in this place (folder). One thing yuo should be aware of is when you change JSP file. You have to recomplie the war file using patch_your_app_server.sh (patch_your_app_server.bat for Windows) under xellerate/setup folder. Becarefull this will change your configuration files back to original (OOTB) so besure to back up your custom configuration files and put them back after that.

  • HT201240 resetting a user password in mountain lion

I've installed Mountain Lion, and installed my Time Machine back up.  The problem is that when I try to log in it own't accept my password giving me the message
    CSSM_ERRCODE_MEMORY_ERROR.
I've tried to set up another administor account and it will let me unlock as the old password is correct.  But  ... still won't let me log into my inital account.
I've just aobut had a gust full of Mountian Lion so I would like to access my files on the back up and then delete Mountian Lion and revert back to Snow Leopard which seems to be alot more useful for me.
    Any help?

    Try these

    http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/19/change-password-mac-os-x-10-7-lion-without-knowin g-current-password/
If no go, then try this, posted elsewhere  by Linc Davis:
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • Use local admin account to reset local users password?

Everytime I logout or shut down my mac book pro running 10.7.4 I cannot login because the login "shakes" when I put in my password.  The local account, userX, is also a mobile account on my home Lion Server network.  Even why I try to go through the process of resetting my password using my appleid, the new password doesn't allow userX to logon to the machine, let alone the home network.
    Thoughts?

did you see the link? Pertinent info therefrom:
    OS X Lion
From the Apple menu choose System Preferences....
From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
Click the lock and authenticate as an administrator account.
    Click Login Options....
Click the "Edit..." or "Join..." button at the bottom right.
Click the "Open Directory Utility..." button.
Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
Enter the root password you wish to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then click OK.

  • Reset SAP GUI passwords for number of users one time

    Dear,
i need your help in how to Reset SAP GUI passwords for number of users one time, as we have non-SAP users, only ESS users that they are currently using Portal ESS, but we need to reset thier GUI passwords so that they will not be accessing the GUI.
we need to do it one shot, one time for more than 600 users.
    is there any way?
    thank you

You can also create an ABAP program which can be used to do a mass user password change.
Here are the functions that will do what you need
SUSR_GENERATE_PASSWORD - Generates a Password. Use this function only if you want to do random passwords. Otherwise you can upload your own password.
BAPI_USER_CHANGE - You can use this BAPI to change just the password of a user
Here is an example of some abap code. There may be some syntax errors and possible other issues. I just typed this out and didnt check it. You upload a comma delimited file which is the username, password. If the password field is blank the program will generate its own. Hope this helps

    Ankur,
Its very much possible to have an automatted job which will read a text file from a portal content path and reset the user password. You can implement KM Scheduler task using NWDS.
Let your KM Scheduler task have the logic to read a file. Use UME API to reset the password for the given user.
Deploy this KM Scheduler task into portal from NWDS using portal admin user name and password.
Navigate to portal and schedule the deployed task under System admin -> System config -> Knowledge management -> content Management -> Global services -> Scheduler tasks ->  Schedulers -> You should be able to see your deployed scheduler here -> just select the link and set the time period -> by this way you can run a job at any time like everyday at 11A.M , every one hour, ever 10 minutes etc.
I remember thr is blog on SDN reg the scheduler. Please search in SDN.

  • HT4798 how can i reset my administrator password if i forgot the password?

I recently bought a macbook pro. I set it up last night, and i know i have the correct administrator (myself, the only user) and password, yet for some reason when i go to type my sername and password, it says it's incorrect. Therefor, i need to figure out how to change my administrator password or username, or find out where i can find the info to tell me what it is, incase i typed either in incorrectly.

Did you try using your Apple ID to reset the password?
    Did you enable FileVault?
    If you get nowhere:
Changing or resetting an account password (Lion):
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274
Scroll down to Resetting the original administrator account password. Try the procedure under reset your user password with your Apple ID.
If that does not work for whatever reason you can also use the following technique:
Restart your Mac while holding down the ⌘ and R keys at the same time until you see the Mac OS X Utilities screen.
From the menu bar at the top, select Utilities > Terminal.
In the Terminal window type resetpassword and press Enter. A window will open behind Terminal that looks like this
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD" in the above screenshot), choose your user account from the dropdown selection, enter a new password, complete the password hint field, and click Save.
You may then see a confirmation dialog explaining how this change affects Keychain Access and what to do about it. Remember it or write it down, then click OK.
    Quit Reset Password
    Quit Terminal
Quit OS X Utilities and restart your Mac.
